England Championship: Manchester United decides to qualify for the Champions League, with a heavy victory over Chelsea

Manchester United ensured its return to participate in the European Football Champions League next season, after its victory over the injured Chelsea 4-1 in a postponed match from the 32nd stage of the English Premier League, Thursday, at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils team needed one point to confirm its qualification to the Champions League, accompanied by Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle. Indeed, its three points contributed to its advancement to third place with 72 points, ahead of Newcastle IV (70).

United ended any remaining hopes for Liverpool to qualify for the European competition, the mother of the season, as the Reds trailed it by six points in fifth place, one stage from the end.

Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag's team made a rocket start after Brazilian Casemiro opened the scoring (6), before Frenchman Anthony Martial doubled his team's lead before the two-half break (45 + 5). Portuguese Bruno Fernandes increased his team's yield with a third goal (73 penalty kicks), before substitute Marcus Rashford concluded United's goal festival (78). The goal for Chelsea was scored by the Portuguese orphan Joao Felix (89).

Chelsea is facing a difficult season, as it presents its worst performance since the 1993-94 season, when the Premier League finished in fourteenth place. The Blues are in twelfth place with 43 points.

And while United entered the meeting after beating Bournemouth 1-0 in the 37th stage, Chelsea, led by former player Frank Lampard, was suffering another loss against City, who was crowned champions of the English Premier League, 1-0.

And United can celebrate the return to participate in the Champions League, which it missed this season, in favor of its participation in the Europa League competition, which it left in the quarter-finals with a disappointing loss to Seville.

The international gave Casemiro the best possible start in favor of the hosts when he followed the Danish Christian Eriksen's ball from a free kick with his head into the goal (6).

The Brazilian United player Anthony suffered an injury, as a result of which he had to leave the field, being carried, to be replaced by Marcus Rashford (29).

Despite Manchester's progress, Chelsea got more than one golden opportunity to equalize the score, as German Kai Havertz missed a golden opportunity to score a header after a cross from Hull, but it went by the goal (32).

And with Chelsea continuing his pressure, the knockout came with a second goal for United before the two-half break, when Casemiro passed a wonderful ball from the outskirts of the area and reached the Englishman Gaydon Sancho, who returned and passed it on a silver plate to Martial, who easily followed it into the goal (45 + 5).

Despite Chelsea's control of possession in several periods of the second half, United managed to reach their goal better, and Portuguese Bruno Fernandes scored a third goal from a penalty kick after he was blocked by Frenchman Wesley Fofana (73).

Rashford increased the pain of the London team with a heavy fourth goal, after he dodged the Chelsea defense before he blocked his first attempt, Chelsea goalkeeper Kiba Arrizabalaga, but he easily managed to score the net in the second attempt (78).

Felix scored an honorable goal for Chelsea after he advanced from the middle of the field at high speed and settled the ball to the right of Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea (89).

German Championship: Doubts about Bellingham's participation in the title match for Dortmund

Doubts remain about the participation of English international Judd Bellingham with Borussia Dortmund in the title match against its guest Mainz, Saturday, in the 34th and final stage of the German Football League.

Dortmund leads the Bundesliga standings by two points from Bayern Munich (70 versus 68), and must win at home, as it lost only one league match this season, to be crowned champion for the first time since 2012 and end the ten-year dominance of the Bavarian giants.

"For Jude, there is a question mark," said coach Edin Terzic. "Over the past few days, he has stepped up his training schedule. It looks good, but he has not trained with us on the field yet."

The 19-year-old Bellingham has been suffering from pain in his knee since the match that his team beat Borussia Monchengladbach 5-2 in the previous stage, and he missed the last victory against its host Augsburg (3-0), which took him to the fore the day after Bayern lost at home. against Leipzig.

"We'll see in training today (Thursday) and tomorrow, and we'll decide if that's enough for him to start. We definitely want him to be in the group on Saturday," Terzic said.

The Spanish and German press indicated that the promising midfielder is in advanced negotiations with Real Madrid, so he may play his last match with the Dortmund shirt on Saturday and conclude his career with the black and yellow team with the league title, three seasons after his arrival in the Ruhr region.

Haaretz: serious effects of the arrest of Palestinian children

The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz said that the Israeli security forces arrest about a thousand Palestinian children every year from the streets, schools and homes from the West Bank, and about a thousand others from East Jerusalem.

The newspaper considered that the practices used to detain thousands of Palestinian children and boys are of an abusive nature to physical and mental health, to the extent that they are prohibited by international laws and agreements related to children's rights, to which Israel is a signatory.

These practices include arresting in the middle of the night and removing the child, whom Israel describes as "wanted", from the middle of his bed, by arresting him without a court order, without explanation, handcuffing and blindfolding him, and preventing his parents, a family member, or a lawyer from accompanying him, as well as Beatings, insults, and more.

She emphasized that children are exposed to physical pain and psychological pressure, and they go through difficult experiences of loneliness, extreme fear, confusion, humiliation, helplessness, and sometimes a sense of danger of death.

She said: "These are traumatic experiences that are etched in the memory, affect the personality and lead to a real risk of mental illness in the children themselves and among family members and society as a whole, and may seriously and irreversibly harm the further development of the children, the ability to adapt to life in a normative manner and the basic sense of safety." Noting that many children reported severe post-traumatic symptoms that continued after their release.

The statement was strong and expressive of the status of the Palestinian cause despite the occupation's bet on The status of the issue declined in the Arab world, and the opposite came about by sticking and insisting on the centrality of the Palestinian issue and that it is the first Arab issue, despite the special and internal problems that these countries are exposed to in each country.

Al-Khalidi stated that the Arab leaders adhered to the Arab and Palestinian position on the Arab Peace Initiative, stressing the importance of intensifying efforts to reach a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue, and finding a real horizon for achieving peace on the basis of the two-state solution in accordance with international references, especially the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions and principles of international law, including It guarantees the embodiment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the Palestinian lands within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This is a revival of the common Arab position and vision.

He pointed out that the Jeddah Summit clearly and explicitly called on the international community, especially the United States, to assume its responsibilities to end the occupation, and stop the repeated aggressions and violations that would obstruct the paths of political solutions and undermine international peace efforts.

The summit stressed the need to continue efforts to protect the occupied city of Jerusalem and its sanctities in the face of the condemnable efforts of the Israeli occupation to change its demography, identity, and historical and legal status in it, including by supporting the historical Hashemite guardianship to protect Islamic and Christian sanctities and the management of the Jerusalem Endowments and Al-Aqsa Affairs of the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments in its capacity It has the exclusive authority, as well as the role of the Jerusalem Committee and the Jerusalem House of Money.

Al-Khalidi praised the firm Saudi position and said that these Saudi positions on Palestine and the central issue of Muslims and Arabs go back to early periods, since the era of the founding King Abdul Aziz, when Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people did not skimp on Palestine and the people of Palestine, not only with money, but also with men and the defense of Palestine. Brotherly relations between the Saudi and Palestinian peoples are based on many constants, and renewed and stable relations in all international arenas. EU's trade union body vote to boycott Israeli settlement goods

The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) voted to boycott Israeli settlement goods in a historical decision at their quadrennial conference on Thursday.

Citing the illegality of Israel's West Bank settlement under international law, the body called for establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

This came during the work of the group's 15th Congress, which is taking place in Berlin from May 23 until May 26.

Addressing the conference, the Secretary-General of the Palestine Trade Union Federation Shaher Saad thanked the participants and drew attention to the deteriorating situation on the ground.

"Israel has been transformed entirely under the leadership of the far-right government to a hothouse and incubator of racism, terrorism and unbridled settler violence," he told them.

Saad pointed to the death toll in 2023, which has already reached 172 Palestinians. "The occupying state is holding more than 4,900 prisoners, including 31 female prisoners, and 160 children, including a girl under the age of 18, in addition to 1,000 administrative detainees, including six children," he added.

The European Trade Union Confederation called for regulatory measures to prevent EU legal entities from importing or exporting to products originating in illegal settlements, or aiding and facilitating such illegal situations, in accordance with EU treaties and in compliance with international law.

They stressed the need to reach a negotiated agreement between Israel and Palestine that would lead to the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of a lasting peaceful solution that respects the legitimate rights of both peoples to coexist in security and peace.

In his speech during the conference, Saad also conveyed the greetings of Palestinian worker, and said: "Many of the members of this conference witnessed some of the suffering that our male and female workers suffer at military checkpoints and in the unjust Israeli labor market, and the guests of the Palestinians turned from visitors into eyewitnesses to these crimes and violations, after they showed the necessary feelings of solidarity."

He added, "No two people in this world can no longer disagree that the foreign occupation of other people's lands is the calamity of all mankind and its black plague."

"If there is anything on earth that deserves condemnation, rejection, and denunciation, it is the continuation of the Israeli occupation of Palestine, that occupation that pays our disarmed people the cost of their existence and brutality, and curbs their unbridled lust for licking the blood of innocent people and taking their lives," he added.

He added, "If this international community had any will, it would have brought the Israeli occupation state to the platform of accountability, after its killing of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, and imposed on it the repulsive penalties it deserves, as it is a rogue state that continued to deviate from the law and break its prestige in public and at the fourth of the day."

He continued: "That is why the international community, and you represent its beating heart, demands without delay the immediate recognition of our people's right to self-determination, and enabling them to establish their independent state over all the territories occupied in 1967, in implementation and compliance with the resolutions of international legitimacy in particular, and calling on the Israeli occupier to leave our lands, including the dismantling of its settlements and the separation wall, its annexation and its appropriation of the lands and property of our people, and this will only be achieved with the close support of your free governments and societies, which are innately supportive of right, justice and equality, and that is complementary and based on the ITUC-ETUC initiative, which calls for the recognition of the State of Palestine."

The European Trade Union Confederation's Congress is held only every four years. Ninety-three trade unions from 41 European countries take part, as well as 10 European trade union federations, representing a total of more than 45 million workers.

Heating the "media" fronts... What does Netanyahu want?

Dr.. Majdi Jamil Shaqura

Dr.. Majdi Jamil Shaqura

Opinion Writer

We have seen the various media in the past days; With news, statements and reports, which included almost all of the political and military class in Israel, all related to preparations and preparations related to the field scene in the region, and all of them are trying to convey to observers that the Israeli army is on the cusp of launching an offensive war on one front or on multiple fronts, and the matter coincides with military maneuvers. It is being conducted by more than one party on a front whose heat has not stopped for more than three-quarters of a century. Are we on the cusp of a large-scale war soon?

Israel has been maneuvering with more than one instrument of action on several fronts during the past years, and it is still carrying out its military activities on more than one level. Political, media and diplomatic pressure is focused on Iran’s front, its nuclear project and its weapons program, especially in the field of missiles, and it launches raids from time to time in the depths of Syria and not Only on the border areas, and threatens Hezbollah in Lebanon, and monitors its borders with Egypt and Jordan around the clock, in anticipation of any emergency that may occur at any moment.

Israel is constantly preparing to deal with any developments involving the Palestinians in the territories occupied in 1948, and continues its blockade of the Gaza Strip, accompanied by military escalations, assassinations, and bombing by warplanes from time to time, and storms the cities, camps, and villages of the West Bank within an operational scope that achieves the deterrence it wants without the help of anyone. It establishes the features of the next phase in the West Bank, which includes the annexation of the largest part of its lands, while continuing the program of Judaizing Jerusalem, dealing with it as the eternal capital of Israel, and initiating the temporal and spatial division in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Netanyahu government is closely following two things of great importance to it: The first is the strategic danger represented by the growing power, influence, and influence of Iran, which represents a cordon around it, from the side of Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip, within deep alliances whose most prominent title is confronting Israel militarily, and the remarkable development in Saudi relations. Iranian developments, which led to the full restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and what the matter leaves on the already complex network of regional relations, in addition to the remarkable developments in the region’s relationship with the world, where conflicting interests, changing the maps of alliances, and the reshaping of the international system with the entry of new players aspiring to leadership The system of international relations that has been hostage to American influence for more than three decades.

Netanyahu, and his extremely complex government system, in light of his dependence on the desires and aspirations of the extreme right, which forms the backbone of his government, wants to complete the government’s mandate by keeping the coalition that guarantees him a majority in the Knesset, and is subject to the blatant and open blackmail of the right-wing blocs, and continues his project of deep changes in the Knesset. The judicial system, allowing him to maneuver for as long as possible away from the courtrooms that might lead to imprisonment, and to recruit supporters of the right more in the streets to be an effective counter to the weekly demonstrations organized by the left and the right of center, rejecting any changes in the judicial structure in Israel. In order to achieve these goals; Netanyahu continues attempts to divert attention, by exaggerating the dangers facing Israel on the one hand, fabricating crises on the other hand, and carrying out some intelligence or military activities on the third hand, so that the elements of the initiative will always remain in his hand, and he will continue his maneuvers without time limits, and far from the expectations of his opponents who They are ready to pounce on him at any moment.

UNRWA official: Some countries 'significantly' cutting aid for Palestinian refugees

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) said on Thursday that some countries, which it did not name, have informed the agency's management of a "significant" reduction in their financial aid.

"There are some countries that informed us that they will reduce their financial aid by a large percentage. We do not want to mention their names. This is a very negative development," said Adnan Abu Hasna, UNRWA spokesman, in a radio interview.

Citing the growing population and needs of Palestinian refugees, Abu Hasna said the agency has renewed outreach to Arab donors.

UNRWA has been suffering from major financial crisis for several years, which has compromised its ability to provide services to Palestinian refugees.

In light of these pressures, Abu Hasna stressed the additional importance of UNWRA's Advisory Committee Conference, to be held in Beirut in June, as well as the upcoming UNHCR Pledging Conference in New York.

The agency was established in 1949 by a decision of the United Nations General Assembly to assist and protect Palestinian refugees in its five areas of operations in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, until a solution to their situation is reached.

Saudi Arabia and Canada turn the page on the dispute and restore diplomatic relations

Saudi Arabia and Canada announced an agreement to restore their diplomatic relations to their previous state and turn the page on a dispute that erupted in 2018 and included the expulsion of representatives and the cessation of commercial dealings, after Ottawa condemned Riyadh on the grounds of its human rights record.

The Kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the agreement is mainly due to discussions held by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum summit in Bangkok in November 2022.

In a statement, it said, "It is the desire of both sides to restore diplomatic relations between the two countries on the basis of mutual respect and common interests. It was decided to restore the level of diplomatic relations with Canada to its previous status."

The Canadian Foreign Ministry confirmed the agreement to return relations to their previous state.

Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie announced that each of the two countries will appoint an ambassador to the other. Ottawa appointed Jean-Philippe Lanto as its envoy to Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia did not specify who it chose to represent it.

And Riyadh announced in August 2018 that it had asked the Canadian ambassador there to leave, recalled its ambassador in Ottawa, and frozen commercial dealings with Canada, due to what it considered "interference" by the latter in its internal affairs.

This step came after Ottawa's strong demand for Riyadh's immediate release of civil society activists who were arrested by the Saudi authorities as part of a wave of arrests at the time.

On that day, Saudi Arabia confirmed its rejection of dictations and any interference in its internal affairs.

For its part, Canada expressed at the time its "serious concern" about the move, but stressed that it would "always defend the protection of human rights, especially women's rights, and freedom of expression in all parts of the world."

She added that the Trudeau government will not hesitate "to promote these values and we believe that this dialogue is essential to international diplomacy."

The move to expel the ambassador entailed measures such as stopping Saudi Arabia's scholarship programs for its students to Canada, while Arab countries took positions supporting the Kingdom in the crisis.

The restoration of relations came in the context of a series of diplomatic moves by Riyadh recently, which analysts believe reflect the aspirations of Saudi Arabia, especially the de facto ruler of the Kingdom, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to enhance its presence on the world stage.

One of the most prominent of these moves in the past months was the signing of an agreement sponsored by China to resume relations with the most prominent regional opponent, Iran, after years of estrangement.

Likewise, Riyadh restored its diplomatic relations with Damascus after it was severed following the outbreak of the conflict in Syria in 2011, and it received President Bashar al-Assad to attend the Arab summit that it hosted in Jeddah last week.

The same summit witnessed the sudden participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose country has been facing since the beginning of last year a large-scale Russian invasion.

Riyadh has also opened channels of communication with the Houthi rebels, seeking to end the war it is leading against them in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia hosts representatives of the two sides of the Sudanese conflict, and announced, in cooperation with the United States, their agreement on a seven-day armistice, which officially began on Monday night.

Analysts believe that Riyadh's agenda at present is clear, and is based on reducing unrest abroad and embarking on economic and social reforms at home, especially "Vision 2030", which mainly aims to diversify sources of income and reduce dependence on oil revenues.

Despite a series of broad reforms led by Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom's record in the field of human rights continues to attract international criticism and from human rights organizations.

The kingdom has long been criticized for its high execution rate. The Saudi authorities say that the defendants have exhausted all levels of litigation, stressing that "the Kingdom's government is keen to establish security, achieve justice, and implement God's rulings against all those who transgress against the safe."

In 2022, the authorities executed 147 people, more than double the number of executions in 2021, which amounted to 69 executions, according to a toll prepared by AFP.

Palestinian PM: Israeli displacement of Ein Samia amounts to 'ethnic cleansing'

Ramallah – Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh called Israel's displacement of the residents of Ein Samia, east of Ramallah, "a racist policy and ethnic cleansing" in a statement on Thursday.

Over 200 Palestinians decided to leave the community in the occupied West Bank, which they have inhabited since the 1980s, after years of harassment from Israeli settlers and draconian policies from Israeli authorities.

The Israeli human rights NGO B'Tselem said that Israel had made the community's lives "unbearable," pointing to severe restrictions on building and a recent court ruling to raze the local school.

In his statement, Shtayyeh said that the case of Ein Samia exists in the context of "systematic settlement," and that "Israeli occupation authorities aim to seize it in order to expand the settlements built on the lands of the village, and the targeted villages and towns in all the occupied territories, which are now living under the burden of 'mobile terrorism' of the occupation soldiers and settlers."

Shtayyeh affirmed the right of the residents of the community to return to their lands and properties, and called to halt the displacement.

The commander of the Wagner Armed Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced Thursday the start of the withdrawal of his elements from the city of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine and handing it over to the Russian army, days after he confirmed its control over it following the longest battle since the start of the invasion.

Prigozhin said in a videotape distributed by his media office, "We are in the process of withdrawing our units from Bakhmut today. From now until May 1, most of them (units) will return to the rear bases. We will return our positions to the military, with ammunition and everything in them."

But Ukraine denied the complete fall of the city, stressing that its forces continue to fight in some parts of it and its surroundings.

On Wednesday, Prigozhin admitted that about 10,000 of the 50,000 prisoners he recruited from Russian prisons were killed in Ukraine on the front line in the Battle of Bakhmut.

Prigozhin, who spent years in prison during the Soviet era, last year recruited prisoners to fight in the ranks of his group, promising the detainees to cancel their sentences if they survived the battles.

A rare move for the royal family... King Charles's brother-in-law is visiting Iraq

Administrative detainees are preparing to start struggle steps

Today, Thursday, the Captive Club confirmed that administrative detainees from all factions continue to prepare and prepare to start struggle steps, including the option of hunger strike, to confront the escalating crime of administrative detention, and there will be a national committee emanating from all factions to manage the confrontation.

The club said in a statement, "Since the beginning of this year, the occupation authorities have continued to expand the circle of administrative detention, as the number of administrative detainees has exceeded 1,000, including 14 children and two female families, and the number of administrative detention orders has reached more than 1,200, and today the administrative detainees are in three Central prisons, namely: (Ofer, the Negev, and Megiddo).

He pointed out that the administrative detainees, since the beginning of last year 2022, have implemented a series of struggle steps, the most prominent of which was the boycott of the occupation courts, in addition to the hunger strike step that was carried out by 30 administrative detainees and lasted for 19 days, as a cry in the face of the crime of administrative detention, and these steps form part of From a long struggle path that administrative detainees have waged for decades.

The club confirmed that the crime of administrative detention, which is one of the most prominent and dangerous crimes committed by the occupation authorities against the Palestinians, has increased significantly since last year, compared to the past few years. In January of last year, the number of administrative detainees was about (500), Today it has doubled, as mentioned above, to more than 1,000.

The occupation authorities aim, through the crime of administrative detention, to undermine any active state and impose more control and oversight on Palestinian society within the framework of the apartheid regime imposed by the occupation on several levels.

It is worth mentioning that the occupation authorities resort to administrative detention against those against whom they cannot file an indictment, under the pretext of having a “secret file” and as a “retaliatory” measure, based on the Emergency Law that it inherited from the British Mandate, and the occupation courts are complicit in their decisions. New research conducted by the U.K.-based Forensic Architecture Institute has revealed that four possible sites of mass graves in the area of the village of Tantura, where Zionist militias committed a massacre in 1948.

According to the new research, as reported in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, two mass graves have been identified in a parking lot on the beach, one of which contains 70 to 140 bodies, while the other holds between 40 to 80. A third grave is located in the vicinity of the main Islamic cemetery in the village, while a fourth is located on the beach.

The massacres were committed against the residents of the Palestinian village on May 23, 1948, after soldiers from the Alexandroni Brigade of the Haganah, a Zionist paramilitary group, which seized the village where 1,500 Palestinians lived.

A visual printed in Haaretz depicting one of the sites of a potential mass grave.

The new research was conducted by Forensic Architecture, which operates from Goldsmiths University and is headed by Israeli architect Eyal Weizman. The institute documents human rights violations around the world using advanced technological means.

The researchers at Forensic Architecture built a computer model of historical Tantura, and managed to locate the new graves using the analysis of historical aerial photographs and comparing them with their contemporary equivalents. They also used addition to oral testimonies, conducted a land survey, and examined the sites where the graves seemed to be located.

The four sites, according to Forensic Architecture's report, printed in Haaretz.

Haaretz says that Israel denies that a massacre took place at Tantura, and added that historians still dispute what exactly took place in the village.

The new research also indicates that some of the village's residents may still be buried under its lands to this day.

Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights, a human rights group based in Haifa, called on the Israeli authorities to fence off the burial sites and place signs near them.

"The results are clear and convincing, and there is a lot of evidence," the director of the organization's legal department told Haaretz, calling for an end to the desecration of graves.

An independent expert on aerial photographs described the methodology as "acceptable, reasonable and professionally sound," after Haaretz presented him with the report.

Turkman is considered the number one wanted person in the Jenin governorate, and he survived several assassination and arrest attempts. His brother, Walid Turkman, told Al-Quds.com, "Until now, we have not received any information from an official party or witnesses about Maher's arrest, which we have not seen and no news of him since his arrest in 4/9/2023".

He added: "Everything we receive from the media quotes the occupation, while no one was able to identify the house that was raided and the arrest process took place. Therefore, we are worried and afraid for the fate of my brother, who received several threats of liquidation and execution."

Rock legend Tina Turner dies in Switzerland

Tina Turner's powerful voice and charismatic presence lit up the stage, made a huge mark on 20th-century rock music, and over five decades produced hits, first with husband Ike Turner and then through a hugely successful solo career.

The eight-time Grammy Award-winning black singer, who died at the age of 83, occupied theaters from the 1960s, drawing a new generation of fans into a triumphant comeback after escaping an abusive marriage.

Abandoned by her parents, she emerged from the cotton fields of Tennessee to become the passionate "Queen of Rock and Roll" who, according to anecdote in music circles, taught Mick Jagger how to dance.

After becoming a global phenomenon, the singer, who wrote songs such as "The Beast" and "Natbusch City Limits", lived her last years in Switzerland with her second husband, Irwin Bach, a former senior official in a music production company. She married him in 2013 after a three-decade relationship.

The beginning of her career when she was singing, especially soul and R&B music, witnessed many changes and ups and downs. She admitted that she tried to commit suicide at the height of her husband's physical and moral abuse.

"He used to punch me in the nose over and over again, to the point where I could feel the taste of blood coming down my throat when I sang," she said in her memoir, "My Love Story" in 2018.

Tina ran away from her husband in 1976, running down a highway during a concert tour. She completed her divorce papers in 1978, and carried with her only her artistic name.

However, the dream of becoming a rock star haunted her.

"How can I fill sports stadiums? I aspired to that, I wanted to do what Jagger and others were doing at the time," Turner asked in comments presented during her entrance ceremony to the Museum of Rock Fame in 2021.

And she achieved these dreams even more when she scored a huge success in 1984 with her album "Private Dancer". Her song “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” contained in this work, won two Grammy Awards, and launched her international stardom at the age of forty-four.

Four years later, she set a record with the largest pay-per-view concert by a solo artist, during her show in Rio de Janeiro, with 180,000 people.

As a black woman who chose rock over '50s doo-wop and '60s Motown, Turner rewrote the rules of the genre for women.

Rapper Lizzo said Turner "made the dream come true as a black woman who took the stage on her own".

Turner has sold more than 100 million copies of her albums worldwide, according to Billboard magazine, and paved the way for daring singers like Janet Jackson, Madonna and Beyoncé.

"I've never seen a woman so strong, so amazing, so fearless," Beyoncé said during a ceremony honoring Tina Turner in 2005 at the Kennedy Center.

Anna Mae Bullock, that was her real name, was born on November 26, 1939, in Brownsville, Tennessee.

She grew up with her sister in a modest family, but their situation worsened when their father abandoned them first, and then their mother.

Upon the death of their grandmother, who had helped raise them, Anna Mae moved to the home of relatives in St. Louis, Missouri

At the age of sixteen.

There she met Ike Turner, a guitarist and bandleader eight years her senior who had achieved some fame after composing and recording the first rock and roll song, "Rocket 88", in 1951.

She convinced Ike to let her sing alongside him.

When the song "A Fall in Love" became a hit in 1960, it was called Tina Turner, and the duo formed the Ike & Tina Turner Review. They married in 1962.

From the beginning, Tina Turner was the most powerful presence, and she stole the spotlight with her soaring voice and enchanting dances.
Her works reflected the tensions in their personal lives, the most famous of which was the 1970 song "Proud Mary".

But her powerful and sexy vocals were always mixed with a certain fragility.

She said in an interview with "Rolling Stone" magazine in 1986, "I sing with these emotions because I experienced the pain in my heart."

After separating from Ike Turner, she performed in Las Vegas, released modestly-selling singles, and embarked on European tours.

However, with the success of the album "Private Dancer" in 1984, her transformation from a back-up star to a bright rock star was completed.

The following year, she made an unforgettable connection with Mick Jagger at the Live Aid concert in Philadelphia. Jagger ripped Turner's mini leather skirt in the midst of singing.

Mel Gibson co-starred in the blockbuster "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome," and she contributed to writing her memoir, "I Tina." She was the focus of the movie What's Love Got To Do With It starring Angela Bassett.

Turner, who converted to Buddhism after seeing a "way out" from her dangerous first marriage, confirmed several times that faith was a catalyst for her renewed youth and stability.

In 2008, she toured, which brought in $130 million in revenue. In 2013, three months after her marriage to Bach and her acquisition of Swiss citizenship, Turner renounced her American citizenship.

For the following years Trenor lived with Bach at their home in Zurich and at another home in the south of France.

She lived through tragedy with the suicide of Craig, 59, her eldest son from a previous relationship with saxophonist Raymond Hill before her marriage to Ike Turner.

Turner gave birth to Ike Turner, who died in 2007, Ronnie, who died last year at the age of 62 due to complications from colon cancer.

Israeli laws to control the West Bank and the Palestinians of the interior

The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported, on Thursday, that the Israeli Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs will discuss, next Sunday, a draft law allowing the application of Israeli law to parks and archaeological areas in the West Bank.

The committee will also discuss another draft law stipulating that any student from inside Palestine who waves the Palestinian flag or expresses support for "terrorism" will be suspended from the academic institution in which he studies.

According to the newspaper, the bill, submitted by Likud member of Knesset Danny Danon, would authorize the Minister of the Interior to declare parks, nature reserves, and memorial and archaeological sites as "national sites" as is customary within the Green Line, and that violating them would constitute a crime punishable by 3 years in prison.

According to the newspaper, the ratification of such a law means the annexation of additional areas, which will allow the punishment of more Palestinians.

While the other bill was presented by a member of the Knesset from the “Jewish Power” party and settlement activist Limor Son Har Melch, which provides for the punishment of any student from the inside or occupied Jerusalem who raises the Palestinian flag inside universities, colleges or schools that fall under Israeli control, by depriving him of Studying either temporarily or completely or depriving them of obtaining an educational certificate for a period of 5 years.

The issue of settlements and the confiscation of Palestinian lands has become an Israeli approach that does not stop every day and every site in various parts of the West Bank and Jerusalem, in addition to the Judaization of the Holy City, our promised capital. The Israeli government also decided to start implementing the law of canceling the disengagement from settlements in the northern West Bank and allowing settlers to return. To the “Homesh” settlement outpost. An international tender was published to build towers on the lands of Lifta. This was considered the largest settlement project in that area located at the entrance to Jerusalem. It includes hotel and tourist shops and sites of a public nature with a large yard and an underground car park.

The occupation forces also blew up the house of the family of the martyr Moataz Al-Khawaja in the town of Ni'lin in the Ramallah governorate, and delivered notices of demolition and leveling of lands in various other areas, and the displacement of Bedouin communities in more than one location. Perhaps one of the worst and most dangerous things they are planning to do is work to Judaize the area and squares of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Eight ministers, five Knesset members, and all members of the board of directors of the so-called "temple" association of organizations held a meeting to discuss this very serious issue.

These Judaization practices aroused the attention of Washington, as the official spokesperson for the State Department confirmed that the administration of President Joe Biden adheres to its statement that denounces and expresses concern as a result of the Israeli government’s decision that allowed settlers to establish a permanent presence in the “Homesh” settlement outpost, which is considered illegal even according to Israeli law. . Washington confirms that its anti-settlement position does not change with the passage of time, and Israel affirms that the settlement continues and its position in this regard will not change with the passage of time, which confirms that Washington's position is just talk that does not change anything in reality.

The prisoner Walid Daqqa.. the bodies of the martyrs and the despicableness of the occupation!!

The prisoner Walid Daqqa is ill with cancer and is currently in the hospital, and the occupation continues to ignore the suffering that this great national fighter is going through, and refuses to release him, although he is fully aware that in his current situation he does not and will not pose any threat or danger whatsoever.

In addition to this situation and the inhuman behavior of the occupation, there is another issue no less than that, which is the decision of the occupation to detain the bodies of a number of martyrs, even though they are just corpses, but their history of struggle seems to worry this occupation and the inhumane actions that it performs.

The big question is: Where is the world and the human rights and legal institutions in the world from this inhuman behavior? In any case, these martyrs and their bodies will remain a thorn in the side of the occupation.
