Today, Thursday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh affirmed that the measures of the occupation and its settlers on the land, through demolition, deportation, confiscation, Judaization, expansion of settlement area, and others, are attempts to reoccupy the West Bank and reconfigure settlement in various forms.

This came during his research in Ramallah, with a staff from the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, headed by the head of the Commission, Moayad Shaaban, ways to advance popular resistance and strengthen the steadfastness of citizens in the areas targeted by the occupation and its settlers.

Shtayyeh stressed that the work carried out by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission is a national priority of the first degree, and the government will remain supportive of its work and needs and strengthen the steadfastness of citizens, calling for the need to expand popular participation in popular resistance and its tools.

For his part, Shaaban confirmed the increase in the frequency of attacks by the occupation and its settlers in the targeted areas and Bedouin communities, noting that there have been 500 demolition notices since the beginning of this year, and that 376 Palestinian buildings have been demolished, 22% of which are in Jerusalem.

He noted that the occupation authorities have doubled the funds allocated to monitor construction in Area C, targeting hundreds of communities to displace their residents, in addition to doubling settlement projects and land confiscation.
