Today, Tuesday, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the draw for the seventh edition of the 2023 Arab Futsal Championship for national teams, organized by the Arab Football Association and hosted by the Saudi Federation, was drawn from June 6 to June 16.

The first group included: Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Libya and Sudan, and the second group: Morocco, Comoros, Kuwait and Lebanon, and the third included the teams of Egypt, Mauritania, Palestine and Iraq, and their competitions will be held in the Ministry of Sports Hall in Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah Governorate.

The first edition of the tournament was held in Cairo in 1998, with the participation of the teams of Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria, Palestine, Sudan and Somalia.

In 2005, the second edition was also held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and the national teams of Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Palestine and Morocco participated in it, where the Egyptian national team retained the title, and the Moroccan national team finished runner-up as well, followed by the Lebanese national team in third place and the Libyan national team in fourth place, while hosting Libya, the third edition in 2007, and the national teams of Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt and Iraq participated in it, as the Libyan national team won the title.

Then the championship returned to Egypt in 2008 in its fourth edition, and the teams of Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Iraq, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Libya participated in its competitions. Cairo, which hosted the fifth edition in 2021, participated in the competitions of the teams of Egypt, Mauritania, Bahrain, Kuwait, Morocco, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the Comoros, and the Moroccan team won the title.

The competitions for the sixth edition were held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of the teams of Morocco, Kuwait, Mauritania, Somalia, Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Libya, and ended with the Moroccan team winning the title, while the Iraqi team finished second.
