Gaza - "Jerusalem" dot com - Ahmed Al-Masharawi - Assistant Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Vice President of the Volleyball Association, Abdul Salam Haniyeh, one of the founders of the Palestinian volleyball game and President of the Game Association from 1978-1994, honored Hajj Abdul Hamid Ibrahim Shaheen, in the presence of An elite group of sports and volleyball leaders, led by Muammar Bseiso, Ali Abu Hassanein, Hosni Al-Mughni, Walid Ayoub, President of the Olympic Council, and Fathi Joudeh, former Secretary General of the Olympic Committee.

Abdul Salam Haniyeh praised the rich history of Hajj Shaheen in establishing the game and granting it international membership, and touched on bright stations in his life in arbitration, studies, training courses, and sports leadership outside the country in Kuwait and other countries, and conveyed the greetings of his father, Ismail Haniyeh, to the sports family. In turn, he thanked Shaheen Haniyeh for this gesture, in the presence of the sports leaders with whom he contributed to the establishment and development of volleyball, and expressed his pride in what he presented and wished success to all athletes in Palestine.

Hajj Al-Mughni, one of the founders of the volleyball game, talked about the memories that brought him together with Shaheen in Kuwait, the difficult conditions that accompanied Palestinian sports, and the Palestinian athletes standing at the forefront of the ranks to raise the flag of the homeland. Al-Mughni thanked Abdel Salam Haniyeh for appreciating the athletes and celebrating them on all occasions.
