Beit Hanoun girls outperform their peers in the Palestinian Al-Ahly


Gaza - On Monday evening, the "Jawwal" girls' softball league competitions opened. The meeting brought together the girls’ teams of the Beit Hanoun Al-Ahly Youth Club and the Palestinian Al-Ahly Club. It was held at the “Martyr Rafiq Al-Salmi” hall in Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, and ended with the victory of the girls of Beit Hanoun, with a score of 6/8.

The opening ceremony of the championship took place in the presence of the President of the Palestinian Federation of Baseball and Softball , Ahmed Tafesh, a representative of the “Jawwal” company, members of the federation, and a group of sports personalities.

In his speech, Tafesh thanked the "Jawwal" company, the sponsor of the championship, and the Palestinian sports, and praised the good care and thanked all the clubs participating in the championship, all the attendees, and the families of the players.

In the course of the match, the girls of the two teams showed a remarkable and remarkable level during the match. It started with the lead of the Al-Ahly girls, with a score of 1_0, in the first half, while the girls of Beit Hanoun tried to come back strongly during the second half, and achieved a wide victory 4_0, while the Al-Ahly girls achieved victory in the third round, with a score of 2_0.

Excitement returned to the meeting again, and the Beit Hanoun girls managed to win the fourth round with a big score of 4_0, while the victory of the Palestinian Al-Ahly girls during the fifth round, with a score of 3_0, did not help them achieve victory on the total sum of the match, which ended in favor of the girls of Beit Hanoun Al-Ahly with a score of 8_6.

The female players, Sana Tafesh of the Palestinian Al-Ahly team, emerged as the youngest player registered in the league, Israa Shabat, the team’s shooter, and the goalkeeper of Beit Hanoun, Nesma Naseer, and the Al-Ahly team’s goalkeeper: Heba Abu Marsa, and Al-Ahly player Dina Khadra scored a crushing blow, during which she scored a full round.

The match was led by arbitrators / Maryam Siam, main referee, assistant referee Muhammad Al-Adham, Ali Saleh, Ahmed Abu Odeh, match observer Ashraf Murad, and registered referee Rabab Tafesh.

The league competitions will continue with the holding of the second meeting between the girls of Rafah Services and the girls of Al-Zahraa Sports, next Thursday evening, at the martyr "Rafiq Al-Salmi" stadium.
