19 stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented the call to prayer 46 times in Al-Ibrahimi last month
The Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Hatem Al-Bakri, said, "The settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque 19 times, while the occupation prevented the call to prayer 46 times in the Ibrahimi Mosque during the month of June."
Al-Bakri stated, in a report issued by the Ministry, today, Wednesday, that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem was subjected to settler incursions daily, except for Saturday and Friday, in the morning and evening periods, in addition to continuing the repeated attacks on the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, in an attempt to impose the temporal and spatial division. .
He explained that the storming of hundreds of settlers during the aforementioned month, led by the extremist former member of the Knesset, Yehuda Gelik, and a number of extremist Jewish leaders, constitutes an explicit and clear attack on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is under fierce Israeli attack.
The ministry warned of the seriousness of the Judaization steps in Bab al-Rahma, where settlers hold biblical educational classes in front of the chapel.
Al-Bakri denounced the settlers' opening, in the presence of their leadership, of the electric elevator in the Haram, which is considered an infringement on its powers and on the history of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
He stressed that the reconstruction and reform of the Ibrahimi Mosque is the competence of the Ministry of Endowments according to international laws, noting that the endowments have faced these attacks and violations from the outset at all levels.
Dozens of settlers had stormed the Al-Ishaqiya area in the Ibrahimi Mosque, under the threat and force of arms and under the protection of the occupation forces, and assaulted the employees of the sanctuary.
With regard to Islamic and Christian sanctities and religious places, the report monitored the settlers' storming of Islamic shrines in the town of Kifl Haris, north of Salfit, where they performed Talmudic rituals during the storming process, and the movement of citizens and movement was prevented in several side roads inside the town.
The occupation forces attacked the Al-Assir Mosque in the Jabriyat area in Jenin, and the settlers attacked the Al-Rabat Mosque in the village of Orif in Nablus, and tore up the Qur’an.
The occupation municipality in Jerusalem, under pressure from the settlers, also forced the residents of the town of Beit Safafa to remove the dome of the Al-Rahman Mosque in the town to shorten its height, and change its color from golden to silver.
A year ago, the occupation municipality issued a decision to demolish the upper floor of the mosque and the dome under the pretext of building without a permit.
The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the Suleiman Pools tourist area, south of Bethlehem, where they stationed at the Three Pools area, amid strict military measures.
