A special force managed to thwart an attack that was scheduled to be carried out soon, as they arrested two people in the city of Nablus who were on their way to carry out a shooting operation.

The detainees are Ahmed Zakharna (21 years old) and Tariq Abu Zeid (25 years old), both residents of the town of Qabatiya, and they were identified by the Islamic Jihad organization.

The resistance fighters were stopped while they were traveling in their car, and two loaded M16 weapons were found in their possession, ready for immediate use, in addition to jackets, face masks, and large quantities of ammunition.

The initial investigation conducted by the Shin Bet showed that the two fighters had left the city of Jenin and were on their way to carry out the attack soon.

Investigations are still ongoing with them.
