Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Mustafa met today, Sunday, in his office in Ramallah, with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Rasmussen, and discussed with him efforts to stop the genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip, and to enhance relief efforts by opening the crossings with the Strip to bring in aid to meet the needs of our people there.
Mustafa stressed the necessity of implementing international legitimacy resolutions, most notably UN Security Council Resolution 2735, in order to stop the aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip, secure the entry and arrival of aid immediately and urgently, the Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, the State of Palestine assuming its full responsibilities in the Gaza Strip after the aggression stops, and preparations to begin reconstruction.
Mustafa discussed with Rasmussen strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of Denmark's recognition of the State of Palestine, appreciating the Danish support provided to Palestine and supporting our people's legitimate rights in international forums and through the European Union, especially during Denmark's presidency of the European Union Council in the second half of this year.
