The government media office of the Hamas movement reported today, Sunday, that about 5,000 Palestinians have been killed and have gone missing since the start of the Israeli military operation in northern Gaza 100 days ago, according to what was reported by the German News Agency.

The government media office said in a press statement, "During these 100 days, our Palestinian people in the northern Gaza Strip experienced the most horrific forms of killing, ethnic cleansing, destruction and displacement."

It explained that the Israeli army injured approximately 9,500 Palestinians, some of whom suffer from serious and chronic injuries, while the army arrested approximately 2,600 citizens, including women and children, “in flagrant violation of all international conventions and norms.”

It added, "The destruction of homes, hospitals, public facilities and infrastructure clearly exposes the Israeli occupation's intention to destroy the foundations of life in the Gaza Strip, in a deliberate and systematic manner, causing a deep humanitarian crisis that exacerbates the suffering of our noble Palestinian people."

The Government Media Office condemned the Israeli ground attack on the northern Gaza Strip governorate and all governorates of the Strip, which only targets civilians and vital civilian sectors.

It held Israel and the United States of America fully responsible for the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza, calling on them to stop what he described as "genocide and ethnic cleansing against civilians."

It called on the international community, international organizations and the United Nations to urgently intervene and take immediate action, and to play an effective role in pressuring Israel to stop the “genocide and ethnic cleansing” and their serious repercussions on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
