Within 100 days.. More than 5 thousand dead and missing and 2600 detainees in the northern Gaza Strip

The genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out by the Israeli army in the northern Gaza Strip over the past 100 days has resulted in the death and disappearance of 5,000 Palestinians, the injury of 9,500, and the arrest of more than 2,600 people, including women and children.

This came according to what the government media office in the Gaza Strip reported in a statement issued today, Sunday, coinciding with the 100th day since the Israeli army re-invaded the northern Gaza Strip on October 5.

The statement said, "During these 100 days, our Palestinian people in the northern Gaza Strip experienced the most horrific forms of killing, ethnic cleansing, destruction and displacement."

He continued, "The brutal aggression left 5,000 dead and missing, and 9,500 wounded, some of whom suffer from serious and chronic injuries, in addition to the arrest of 2,600 citizens, including women and children, in a flagrant violation of all international conventions and norms."

The statement pointed out that the destruction of homes, hospitals, public facilities and infrastructure "clearly exposes the Israeli occupation's intention to deliberately and systematically eliminate the foundations of life in the Gaza Strip, causing a deep humanitarian crisis that exacerbates the suffering of the Palestinian people."

The statement stressed that the Palestinian people "will remain steadfast in the face of this brutal aggression."

"The occupation will not succeed in displacing our people and depriving them of their rights and constants," he said, adding that "these crimes will only increase our Palestinian people's determination to obtain their legitimate rights and regain their usurped land." The office condemned "in the strongest terms the continued barbaric ground aggression on the northern Gaza Strip governorate and all governorates of the Strip, which only targets civilians and vital civilian sectors."

The government media office in Gaza held the Israeli occupation authorities "fully responsible for the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the northern Gaza Strip governorate, as well as the American administration and the countries that supported and participated in the genocide, such as Britain, Germany and France. We demand that they stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing against civilians."

The office called on "the international community and international and UN organizations to urgently intervene, take immediate action, and play an effective role in pressuring the Israeli occupation to stop the crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing, and to stop its serious repercussions on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip."

Earlier today, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 28 people were killed in the past 24 hours, while the total death toll from the Israeli war on Gaza rose to 46,565 dead and 109,660 wounded.

The ministry said in a statement that the Israeli army "committed two massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 28 dead arriving at hospitals in the past 24 hours," noting that "a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them."
