Israeli army withdraws from Jenin after two-day onslaught
Israeli occupation forces withdrew completely from Jenin on Tuesday night after a massive military operation that lasted for two days.
As occupation forces retreat from the city and the camp, resistance fighters fired toward them and set off explosive devices against military vehicles.
During the withdrawal, Israeli warplanes fired a missile at the cemetery of the eastern neighborhood of Jenin refuge causing several injuries.
Twelve Palestinians were killed and more than 100 were wounded in the military operation. Twenty of the injured are in a serious or critical condition. One Israeli soldier was also killed.
Israeli occupation forces destroyed a large number of homes and infrastructure in Jenin refugee camp, causing millions of dollars of economic damage.
After the withdrawal, Palestinians who had fled the camp over the course of the operation returned to inspect the damage.
During the aggression, the resistance was brave in the face of the occupation, and violent clashes broke out, during which ambushes were set up using improvised explosive devices, confirming that there were deaths and injuries.
The Israeli military claimed that it had found and destroyed weapons storehouses, explosive labs, and underground tunnels, as well as arresting dozens of Palestinians.
