Soldiers and officers of the Palestinian security services in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are subjected to great pressure and clear moral targeting. The pressures on the Palestinian security services are represented by the Israeli occupation forces' continuous incursions into Palestinian areas, as well as their systematic smear campaigns against the soldiers and officers of those agencies. In the same context, the moral targeting of the Palestinian security services is represented by the serious accusations that some make against them, for narrow partisan and factional purposes. These accusations come despite the honorable history of struggle written by the soldiers and officers of the security services, baptized with the blood of the martyrs, the groans of the prisoners, and the pain of the wounded.

The Palestinian security services suffer from the practices of the Israeli occupation, which is represented in the continuous storming of Palestinian areas and city centers. These incursions come in light of the great unlimited military capabilities possessed by the Israeli occupation, which is unfair to compare with the modest capabilities of the Palestinian security forces, which cannot confront and repel these incursions, and the deliberate targeting of the lives and bodies of the Palestinian people. and their freedoms. In addition, the practices of the occupation against the Palestinian security services are represented in the systematic smear campaigns against them, and the promotion of false news about them on the Internet and social media.

In the same direction, all workers in the Palestinian security services, without exception, suffer from the various accusations that are used for partisan, factional, ruthless, indiscriminate, and lacking logic, patriotic and moral sense. These accusations are based on treason, atonement, and failure to defend Palestinian citizens. These accusations are used continuously, but they increase in a systematic manner at specific times, especially when political differences escalate between the Palestinian factions and currents, and the security services are involved, as a settling of scores.

Anyone who wants the full, unbiased truth believes that the vast majority of the soldiers and officers of the Palestinian security forces are fighters, or freed prisoners. The Palestinian security forces were formed from the fighters who joined the Palestinian revolutionary forces with all its factions abroad, and returned after the Oslo agreement and its annexes to the Palestinian land. It was also formed from liberated prisoners in the first and second intifadas, who paid many years of their lives for the freedom of the homeland.

All those who make false and rejected accusations against the Palestinian security services also know that those who led the second intifada in 2000 were mostly soldiers and officers of those services, who at that time formed the mainstay of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. The Palestinian security forces were at the forefront of the confrontations when the Israeli occupation forces invaded the Palestinian cities, villages, and camps, and fought and valiantly defended the Palestinian people, and paid a heavy price, with the martyrdom, injury, and arrest of thousands of its cadres, and the destruction of its headquarters in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian security services offered hundreds of martyrs in the second intifada for the sake of Palestinian freedom. Among these martyrs, for example, but not limited to, are mentioned Ahmed Mufarrej “Abu Hamid”, Abd al-Muti al-Sabawi, Raed al-Karmi, Hussein and Atef Obayat, Youssef Rihan “Abu Jandal”, Nayef Abu Sharkh, Hussein al-Zubaidi, Marwan Zalloum, Muhannad Abu Halawa, and Fouad Adili. He also mentions Ahmed and Raed Al-Damisi, Ash’ab Galaita, Ziyad Al-Amer, Muhammad Abu Latifa, Amer Aida, Mazen Abu Al-Wafa, Maher Al-Shuaani, and hundreds of others whose sacrifices for the homeland cannot be forgotten, and their exploits cannot be denied.

In the same direction, the Palestinian security services provided thousands of prisoners during the second intifada, and those who lived in captivity cannot deny the role of the cadres of these agencies of various ranks in leading the captive movement, and in the permanent confrontation with the "interest of the Israeli occupation prisons." Among these prisoners, Fouad Al-Shobaki, Kifah Khattab, Iyad Samhan, Amir Abu Radaha, Hussam Shehadeh, Ramzi Obeid, Nasser Owais, Muhammad Zawahra, Khalil Al-Shilo, Omar Akkawi, Yahya Al-Nimr, Haitham Hamdan, Samer Abu Kwaik, Nasr and Sharif Abu Hamid are mentioned. , Muhammad al-Lamlih, Hassan Bizour, Bahaa al-Qassas, and Bassam Katie’.

Among the prisoners of the Palestinian security services are also mentioned Wael Samara, Amin Ziyad, Raed Al-Sheikh, Imad Al-Sarraj, Basil Arif, Mahmoud Abu Khousa, Muhammad Al-Zitawi, Falah Shehadeh, Imad and Tawfiq Rabaya, Muhammad Al-Ghul, Muhannad Abu Samra, Zaid Younes, and Abdul-Rahim Abu Holly, Yasser Abu Bakr, and Naji Arar. He also mentions Hani Khamaysa, Fares Al-Assar, Muhammad Al-Yadek, Bilal Ajarma, Jihad Al-Hindi, Ashraf Ammar, Dhafer Barham, Ayman Al-Awawdeh, and Majed Al-Masry.

In addition to the above, we cannot forget the martyrs of the security services who died in captivity, as a result of the deliberate medical negligence that the Prison Service pursued against them, such as Maysara Abu Hamdiyah, Kamal Abu Waar, Daoud Al-Khatib, and Shadi Al-Sa`idah. It is also impossible to forget the thousands of other prisoners working in the Palestinian security services, and from the various factions, some of whom are still in prison, and have spent more than two decades, and most of them are sentenced to life imprisonment, and some of them were released and returned to work in the various Palestinian security agencies, or affiliated with them.

In the same direction, sons, brothers, sisters, and wives of the martyrs, prisoners, and wounded who were involved in these services, and from all Palestinian factions, work in the Palestinian security services, and are proud of their role in preserving the path of their loved ones, despite all the complications, accusations, and pressures. They still continue to work with the Palestinian security forces as loyal soldiers, in order to carry out their sacred duty, and to serve their country and their people, with conviction and faith.

At the present stage, the Palestinian security forces are committed to the nature of the tasks entrusted to them, which are represented in maintaining security, pursuing outlaws, and maintaining civil peace. The Palestinian security forces are also committed to a declared political program, endorsed by the Palestine Liberation Organization and the government, and which obtained a consensual factional consensus, based on the need to focus on the method of comprehensive popular resistance, as a form of Palestinian national struggle, to confront the Israeli occupation.

It is certain that there are many observations and complaints about some individuals and leaders of the Palestinian security services, as well as mistakes and cases of infiltration, but this is common in security work, and does not give anyone the right to use excessive generalization, comprehensive accusation, and forgetting the patriotism of the entire security services, their sacrifices, and their services To the country, and to all citizens. Also, no one has the right to impose his partisan, factional, or personal visions on the national whole, and forbids and criminalizes according to the interest, and at the same time defends the same behavior if it emanates from those to whom he belongs, or supports him.

A reading of the results of the round of escalation between Israel and the Islamic Jihad movement: in the balance of profit and loss

Dr.. Mansour Abu Karim: Writer and political researcher

There is no doubt that the recent round of escalation that erupted between the Al-Quds Brigades - and behind it the national resistance factions - and the Israeli army was an extension of the idea of individual battles, which has become characteristic of the Gaza front during the past months, especially after the delinquency of the Hamas movement to political action, and its preference not to enter into military rounds of escalation. frequent Because of the constraints of reality and the poor humanitarian conditions in Gaza. In this article, we will shed light on the recent round of escalation and its repercussions on the parties to the relationship from a win-lose perspective, for Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Netanyahu.

The Islamic Jihad movement and the round of escalation from the perspective of profit and loss

Although the battle of May 2023 was imposed on the Jihad movement after Israel assassinated the leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades in a preemptive strike, so that the Jihad had no choice but to respond and enter the front line, even alone; However, the Islamic Jihad movement was able to strike qualitative strikes at the Israeli depth, which turned Israeli public opinion against Netanyahu, and made the opposition leaders talk about Netanyahu's goals from this battle.

During the days of escalation, the Jihad movement took the lead in the scene of the resistance action from Gaza, and became the spokesperson for the resistance project. It was also able to turn into a major negotiator on the truce efforts, after the movement had left these negotiations to Hamas as the spearhead of the resistance program in Palestine, and this contributed to Achieving significant political and popular gains for the movement, which will be reflected in the Palestinian opinion polls in the coming weeks.

This round of escalation and the previous rounds of escalation led to major political and security shifts in the Palestinian political scene, the most important of which was the widening of the political and popular gap between the Hamas-Jihad movements, as stated in the speech of the Secretary-General of the Jihad Movement, Mr. Ziyad al-Nakhala, when he said, "We endured a lot during this The tour is to preserve the unity of the Palestinian position," which gives an indication of the size of the gap and differences between the two movements.

Despite the size of the losses incurred by the Islamic Jihad Movement from the leaders of the Military Council, the movement won the respect and appreciation of the Palestinian street, after it was able to stand firm and obtain the minimum demands during the cease-fire negotiations. Jihad lost individuals and leaders, but it gained the support of the Palestinian street, after it became the first spokesman for the resistance program and project, which is the project and program through which Hamas gained the support of the Palestinian street during the 2006 legislative elections.

Hamas and the escalation tour from the perspective of profit and loss

Since the battle of May 2021, Hamas has not entered the confrontation line with Israel, preferring to focus on political action that serves the movement’s authority in Gaza, and allows the movement to obtain international and regional legitimacy, as a major political player in the internal Palestinian equation, which gives an indication of the magnitude of the political transformations that it is undergoing. In it, the movement, after presenting a document of general principles and policies in which Hamas expressed political realism, by hinting at the movement's conditional acceptance of the idea of a state on the 1967 borders, as a political framework through which the movement can overcome the international boycott and Israeli reluctance to deal with it as the top of the pyramid of the Palestinian political system. Especially in the post-President Abbas era.

Hamas did not participate in the response to the assassination of the martyr Baha Abu al-Ataa, and it did not participate in the battle of August 2022, nor did it participate in the response to the assassination of the captive Khader Adnan, nor did it participate in the last battle of May 2023; However, it provided the national and revolutionary cover for the Islamic Jihad movement by responding to the crime of assassinating the leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades, although the movement no longer sees the Gaza front as an arena for resistance action, as much as it now sees it as an arena for theorizing resistance action emanating from the West Bank, given the challenges posed by the resistance action. The starting point of Gaza is the infrastructure and the humanitarian situation, in light of the Israeli insistence on destroying the civilian and security infrastructure in any round of escalation.

Hamas' failure to enter the confrontation line with Israel during the recent rounds of escalation had political and popular repercussions. It also had international and regional political gains. During the round of escalation, the strong relationship between Hamas and Jihad began to be characterized by a lot of apathy and tension, due to the repeated abandonment by Hamas of participating in Jihad efforts to respond to the crimes of the occupation, the latest of which was the assassination of the prisoner Khader Adnan, and the leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades in Gaza.

Among the expected repercussions of this tour on the Hamas movement is the decline in popular support for the movement in the ranks of the Palestinian street, after the Jihad Movement and the Al-Quds Brigades led the resistance project from Gaza. The act of resistance and the leadership of jihad will affect the position of Hamas in the Palestinian street. The round of escalation could also affect the position of the movement in the axis of resistance (the Iranian axis), especially since this axis is going through a period of high tension with the United States and Israel in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, and the movement's repeated failure to enter the front line may reopen the talk about the movement's position in this regard. the hub?

Netanyahu and the round of escalation from the perspective of profit and loss

This round of escalation can be considered the Netanyahu round, or the round of extending the life of the Netanyahu government and his remaining in the presidency of the Israeli government for the coming months, in light of the emergence of many indications of the imminent cracking of this government, as a result of the differences that have emerged between him and his allies in the government coalition, on many issues, Especially the mechanism of dealing with the Gaza file.

Netanyahu entered this round forcefully by returning to the policy of assassinations in the hope of directing a qualitative and quick blow to jihad and a safe and quick exit through international and regional mediators, in an attempt to unify the Israeli home front, which was greatly fractured as a result of his attempt to change the judiciary and unify the ranks of his government, but prolonging the battle - For five days, he contributed to eroding the goals that Netanyahu achieved from the assassination operation, after the Al-Quds Brigades succeeded in striking the Israeli rear with force and reaching Tel Aviv and major cities.

In summary: Despite the great human losses in the ranks of the Al-Quds Brigades, the Jihad Movement was able to achieve a moral political and military victory through its steadfastness, the rallying of the Palestinian and Arab popular support around it, and striking the Israeli depth, while Hamas' failure to enter the front line contributed to Hamas' further exposure on the political level. And the media, and he recalled the strategic shifts that the movement is going through at the present time, through its preference for political action, as a result of the constraints of the local, regional and international reality, while Netanyahu did not achieve any internal political goals, whether by uniting the Israeli home front or restoring his government coalition, due to the prolongation of time The battle and the brigades' success in striking the Israeli depth force.

Israel's wars... hidden goals and objectives!!!

The prisoner Osama Al-Ashqar

The prisoner Osama Al-Ashqar

Israel's successive wars on the Gaza Strip may seem to have security goals and needs "for self-defense, to fight Palestinian terrorism, or to restore stability and calm to the southern region, the Gaza envelope," all of which are declared goals invoked by Israel when it launches any attack on the Gaza Strip. But are there goals and objectives more important and broader in scope that may serve the higher interests of the Jewish state and the vitality of its existence, development and growth!

A comprehensive and scrutinized view of the nature of these wars, the contexts that led to them, and the backgrounds and calculations that constituted a primary motive for them clearly show us the strategic goals that Israel has sought and seeks to achieve. In the beginning, it operates according to a formula with exact rhythm and calculated consequences without emotions, which is what makes it cumulative wars whose objectives expand beyond the battlefields and the barrels of cannons and aircraft missiles, and with each new round of conflict it works to transform tactical security challenges into strategic gains that include many long-term goals. The assassinations carried out by Israel of central leaders in the Palestinian factions are a process of attrition that has far-reaching repercussions. It targets the tried and tested solid core that is capable of combating the occupation and its security and intelligence services. These targets have long-term effects on the overall national struggle and its development. Certainly, it will have severe effects on the nature of the militant action, and these targets will take time to restore balance to these factions and the entire scene of resistance.
The recent confrontation shows how Israel played, and continues to play, to fragment the Palestinian home front. After achieving geographical and political separation, it worked to try to tear apart the remaining field unity between the resistance factions by claiming that the war targets a specific organization. What was known as the axis of resistance and kept it out of the battle.

As for the timing of the war, it was very suitable for the Zionist right-wing agenda, as the colonial society is suffering from a severe crisis that is almost ravaging its internal unity. The past months have shown the size of the divisions and the nature of the dilemma that the entire project suffers from. The war came as a golden opportunity for Netanyahu to try to score internal points and restore the extreme right’s control of the scene. The Zionist internal polls have shown this fact clearly.

And after the sounds of artillery and planes ceased, we can say that Israel was able to achieve many gains that were present from the first moment in the Zionist mentality before going to this battle. It opened the door for the entry of Israel as an important player in the Arab region and the region, whose pace of progress has declined due to the successive developments on the Palestinian land, so that it has re-established the central conflict of the regional and international political and media scene. This approach has worked through various political, media and security means to promote Israel's capabilities and progress.

Israel has already been able to achieve significant gains on the Arab and regional levels by selling its advanced security systems, which also comes within the general context of opening markets to Israeli military industries and expanding the area of benefiting from its wars and promoting its systems with a central declared goal for decades to expand the circle of alliances or what Ben-Gurion called it. The policy of the parties to transform Israel into a center with significant regional and international weight.

This is how "Gaza" stopped the Israeli security system on "a man and a text"!

The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz said, on Friday, that the state of high alert in the Israeli security system, throughout the events of “Jerusalem Unification Day” and the “flag march” yesterday, Thursday, indicates a contradiction with what is being declared about a resounding victory in the latest round of fighting in the Gaza Strip.

In an analytical report by its correspondent and military analyst, Amos Harel, the newspaper referred to the statements that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu boasted of after the end of the last round with Gaza, in which he said that "Israel struck the Islamic Jihad in a way that will not be forgotten, and changed the deterrence equation."

Harel considered that the security tension that appeared yesterday and the multiple consultations that were held before the flag march testified to the real situation, that "Israel was not at all sure of its victory, and feared a violent reaction from the Gaza Strip, which could lead to a military escalation again in the region." .

"The situation is more complicated," Harel said, "because the extremist ideological basis for this year's show comes from the heart of the government coalition... Itamar Ben Gvir is no longer a fringe member of the Knesset who somehow entered it thanks to Netanyahu's political stunts, but rather a senior minister in the government, who is officially charged with At least the national security portfolio... The behavior of Ben Gvir and his gang will dictate the strength of the Palestinian reaction."

Harel described the march of flags in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem yesterday, as it was, as in previous years, a disgusting display of nationalism and racism, especially videos of religious Zionist children rioting, destroying Palestinian property and singing hate songs, he said, noting that there were no injuries. On both sides, it did not affect the course of field conditions.

Harel believes that Israel and Hamas are mainly interested in continuing the status quo, while the Islamic Jihad movement needs time to recover after the last operation, indicating that intelligence estimates have been partially achieved so far, but the situation is still far from complete stability, as long as the attacks do not occur. On a large scale, as happened in previous periods, it seems that the security threat does not directly affect the political situation. as he says.

Harel refers to a televised report broadcast on Hebrew Channel 12 by workers from Gaza who came through the Erez checkpoint after the end of the round of fighting, who talked about Hamas not interfering with the Islamic Jihad in the last round, considering that this is confirmation that "the Jihad is preoccupied with the military struggle against Israel." while Hamas is busy consolidating its rule and accumulating money. According to him.

Harel believes that the improvement in the economic situation in Gaza enhances the relative stability on the border, and prevents Hamas from entering into the fighting rounds, as happened in the last 3 rounds that targeted the Islamic Jihad, especially with the continued entry of about 17 thousand workers from the Strip to the Green Line.

The military analyst told Haaretz, "This explanation is not necessarily accepted by everyone, and the fact that Hamas allows Jihad to launch thousands of rockets, pays no price, and only continues to build up its military force, disturbs many in Israel."

He added, "In the long run, Hamas strengthens itself at the expense of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, and encourages terrorist attacks against Israel, and there is no certainty that its activity will be limited to operating remotely only," noting that the Shin Bet thwarted attempts by activists from the movement in Gaza through Exploiting the entry of workers from Gaza to the Green Line.

He referred to the statements of Yossi Kuperwasser, the former head of the Intelligence Division, "Aman", who said that "Israel needs to change its policy and force Hamas to disarm its heavy weapons in the Gaza Strip," calling for the implementation of air strikes similar to those carried out against arms smuggling to Hezbollah in Syria, without requiring the use of ground forces.

According to Harel, after the latest round of fighting, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich spoke of similar thoughts, but Netanyahu thinks otherwise, but this is an argument that will soon be heard many times from the extremist wing of his government. Harel says.

CAF Champions League: Al-Ahly is an extraordinary candidate to reach the final and an arduous task for the title holder

Al-Ahly of Egypt appears to be an extraordinary candidate to reach the CAF Champions League final for the fourth time in a row when it hosts Tunisian Esperance in the second leg of the semi-final, while Moroccan Wydad is waiting for an arduous task to defend its title against its host Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.

At the Cairo International Stadium, Al-Ahly enters the match against Esperance with a great advantage after winning the first leg with 3 goals in Rades, which put it on the verge of the final round, seeking the eleventh title in its history in the most important continental competition at the club level.

The Egyptian team has made strong performances recently, as it was crowned with the local Super Cup title at the expense of Pyramids, and leads the local league, as its South African striker Percy Tau, who scored two goals in the first leg, Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba” and Hussein Al-Shahat, as well as Mali Aliou Diang and the Tunisian full back. Ali Maaloul and other stars of the "Pharaohs" team.

However, his Swiss coach, Marcel Koehler, who may miss some of his main cards due to injury, especially goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy, warned his players against complacency against the ancient Tunisian team, which witnessed a technical change after the resignation of its coach, Nabil Maaloul, after the great first-leg fall.

Kohler called on his players to focus closely and not be complacent or disrespectful to the opponent, because Al-Ahly did not guarantee qualification yet.

The "Sheikh of the Tunisian Clubs" will lead the temporary coach, Anas Al-Busaidi, at a difficult time, as the team will miss about ten players due to injury, most notably Ghilan Al-Shaalali, goalkeeper Moez Bin Sharifia, Algerian defender Riyad Bin Ayad and Libyan winger Hamdo Al-Huni, as well as the Tunisian youth team, Ghaith Al-Wahhabi, Malik. Al-Mahri, Zinedine Sassi and Raed Boushnibeh for their participation in the FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina.

Al-Busaidi will rely on those with experience, such as defender Muhammad bin Ali, Yassin Meriah, Algerian Muhammad Amin Togay, Muhammad Ali bin Ramadan, Moataz Zadam, Moroccan Saber Boukrine and Anis Al-Badri.

The head of the "Al-Makshakha" Hamdi Al-Madab expressed his full confidence in the young coach Al-Busaidi (41 years old). Numerous injuries to key players.

Wydad will face an arduous task in order to continue to retain its continental title, when it faces its difficult host Mamelodi Sundowns, who is looking for its second title after 2016, when they face off in Pretoria.

The two teams tied negatively in the first leg, as the Moroccan team failed to settle matters in front of its fans, and this time it will face a difficult team, especially when it plays between its supporters and at home.

The coach of the Belgian "Wydad of the Nation", Seven Vandenbroek, acknowledged the difficulty of his team's mission, stressing that he would work to correct many things in order to return to qualification.

Vandenbroek hinted at the possibility of the absence of his Senegalese team's top scorer, Pauly Sambo, after he was injured in the first leg, adding, "Things remain open to all possibilities. A negative tie is not a bad result, and the chances of the two teams remain equal."

He continued, "Many believe that the result of the match gives preference to Mamelodi, but the opposite is true. It seems to me a bomb result, and our chances still exist to reserve a seat for us in the final match."

The Wydad coach is fully aware that in order to reach the final, the Sundowns players must be prevented from reaching the net of goalkeeper Youssef Moti’, who is playing excellent matches in the absence of the injured league goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Al-Taknaouti, and therefore the weight will be on the defensive line, who will be absent from the Algerian Hussein Bin Ayada due to injury.

The coach will rely on the international fullbacks, Yahya Atiyatallah, Ayoub Al-Amoud, Amin Farhan, and the Democratic Congolese Arsene Zola, and the international midfielder, Yahya Gibran, is a defensive addition in the midfield.

And the most important weapon of quick counterattacks will be in the hands of Vandenbroek, with the presence of fast players such as Zouhair El Matraji, Mohamed Onajem and Hamid Haddad, in the event that Sambo is confirmed to be absent.

For his part, the coach of the South African team, Rolani Mokoena, saw that his team was under tremendous pressure in order to win the continental title.

He added, "I am lucky, and I understand the pressure placed on us, but I am very proud because I have the responsibility of leading a great team, so I have the luck that the players support me very much and this gives us more strength to be able to go far in the competition."

Mokoena has a homogeneous and strong squad, and the team has strong attacking elements, with the presence of Thabelo Morena, Namibian Peter Shaluleli and Themba Zwane, as well as star midfielder Teboho Mokoena and Uruguayan Gaston Sirino, whose participation increased mainly due to the suspension of New Mayema and Chilean Marcelo Ivan Allende, who were sent off in the first leg.

Europa League: Roma will meet the "king of the competition" Seville in the final

Italian Roma and Spanish “king” Seville set a date in the European Football League “Europa League” final, by eliminating German Bayer Leverkusen and Italian Juventus, respectively, from the semi-finals, Thursday.

Roma tied negatively with its host Leverkusen, second leg, after the first-leg match was decided in his favor 1-0, while the Spanish team eliminated Juventus 2-1 after extension, after the regular time ended 1-1, similar to the first-leg match.

Seville is considered the “king” of this competition with 6 titles, which prevented a 100 percent Italian final for the first time since Inter defeated Lazio 3-0 in 1998.

The final match will be held in Budapest at the Puskas Arena on the 31st of this month.

In the first match, Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho maintained his hopes of lifting the Continental Cup for the second season in a row by leading his team to the final after he was crowned champion of the Conference League last season.

"There are many things that Roma can and must improve, but as a real group, as a family, we have succeeded in this small feat," said Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.

For his part, Leverkusen player Kerim Demirbay said, "We missed a little bit of luck. But I am proud of the players and the club. The Roma team has a lot of experience with a very experienced coach as well."

"It's a shame that in a semi-final at such a high level this kind of play can be rewarded," he added, criticizing Roma's defensive style. "They made things so ugly in the end."

The goal of young Eduardo Bovi in the first leg decided Roma’s qualification, while Roma limited Leverkusen’s attack for the second time this season, as the latter started the first leg with 14 goals in 6 matches scored by nine different players.

Roma's defense, led by coach Mourinho, emerged in the last matches of the competition, conceding only two goals in seven games.
The capital team qualified for only its second final in the competition after 1991, when it lost to compatriot Inter.

His coach, Mourinho, has always described himself when he was coach of Chelsea, England, as a "distinguished coach." He has a distinguished record in Europe after winning the Champions League with Porto, Inter, Italy, and the Europa League (formerly the Federation Cup) with Porto, Manchester United, and the Conference League with Rome last season.

Leverkusen failed to open the scoring in the first half, despite 12 attempts, and hit the crossbar through young French striker Moussa Diaby 12 minutes after the first whistle, while Roma retreated to the defense without succeeding in threatening his opponent's goal.

Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio saved the capital's team from a ground shot by Karim Demirbay, to return to the Iranian Sardar Azmoun, but Gianluca Mancini advanced and sent it in a corner (67).

Azmoun missed an opportunity from the penalty mark after he followed up with a shot from Moroccan substitute Amin Adly (81).

At home, Ramon Sanchez Pisjuan, Seville imposed its supremacy, winning 17 times and drawing twice in the auxiliary continental competition, to reach the seventh final in its history, as it holds the record with six titles in 2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020.
In the first half, during which the two teams shared control, and despite a difficult start for the Torino team, Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou starred in the face of Argentine Angel Di Maria, who missed an important opportunity to open the scoring (27), and a shot by striker Moise Kean was blocked by the Moroccan goalkeeper with his foot and hit the right post (33).

The referee canceled the offside goal of Frenchman Adrien Rabiot (42).
In turn, the Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny blocked several chances, most notably two confrontations with Argentine Lucas Ocampos (24 and 36).

The substitute, Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, barely set foot on the field in the second half, until he scored the opening goal a minute later, after he found himself facing Bono, to raise the ball over him after the Moroccan left to meet him (65).
Sevilla equalized in his 23rd shot, thanks to substitute Suso, who fired a powerful ball into the net at the edge of the penalty area after he got rid of Manuel Locatelli (72).

Szczesny saved a new shot from Suso (83), and Moroccan Youssef Al-Nusairi almost decided the qualification of the Andalusian club, but the Polish goalkeeper was once again on the lookout for his header (90).

The two teams went into extra time, so Sevilla stunned its guest with the goal of advancing from a header by Argentine Eric Lamela (95), and substitute Federco Chiesa missed the equalizing opportunity (110), before the referee expelled the Argentine home team’s defender Marcos Acuna for receiving a second yellow card (114).

And “Bianconeri” must wait again to win the new competition title, after he had previously achieved this achievement three times in its old system, including two in the nineties, which also witnessed his arrival once again to the final.

In the Conference League competition, West Ham, England, qualified for the final after renewing its victory over its Dutch host AZ Alkmaar 1-0 on the return leg, after deciding the first leg in its favor 2-1, to meet Italian Fiorentina, the winner of its Swiss host Basel 3-1 after extension, making up for its loss 1-2 in the first leg. .

The final match will be held on June 7 at the Fortuna Arena in the Czech capital, Prague.

Escalation of differences in the Israeli government coalition

Disagreements escalated within the Israeli government coalition, after the presentation of the new budget file, which was prepared by the extremist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, angering his ally, the so-called National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, the Haredi parties and others.

This prompted Ben Gvir and his party members to be absent from the Knesset sessions to vote on bills submitted by the government coalition, which caused him to lose them, in addition to the success of the Israeli opposition in passing other bills.

Just before midnight, Netanyahu criticized those moves by Ben Gvir's party, accusing the latter and his party of trying to climb the tree.

Netanyahu said during his participation in a celebration of the so-called "Jerusalem Unification Day" at the religious school in Jerusalem, "I want to tell members of the coalition that we do not have and will not have a better government, a national and strong government that cares about Israel's heritage and its future... So it's time to stop threatening and boycotting." Climbing trees... Everyone needs to work together and pass the important budget for our people, the settlements and the Land of Israel."

Netanyahu echoed his words, at a time when he was participating in the celebration of Ben Gvir and Smotrich, whose relationship together was strained due to this crisis.

After midnight, Ben Gvir said, in a tweet on Twitter, in response to Netanyahu, by saying: "Judicial reforms... Settlement all over the West Bank... Evacuation of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar... Taking terrorists' phones in prisons... All of this and more does not mean that Climb on the tree, we can do it with our strength and our tenacity.. We have a right-wing government and we must not miss it.. This government must fulfill the great task of being a complete right-wing that provides security and protects our country, and protects Jerusalem.” according to his expression.

All eyes are on Al-Assad.. The Arab summit begins today amid complex circumstances

Today, Friday, in Jeddah, the regular Arab summit in its thirty-second session will kick off, amid an atmosphere of optimism, consensualness, and reliance that its results will be positively reflected on most of the hot issues.

The summit agenda will focus on Syria's return to the Arab League, in addition to Arab relations with neighboring countries, as well as the volatile situation in Sudan and the Palestinian cause.

Yesterday, the leaders of the Arab countries arrived successively in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is hosting the new summit.

The Arab and international media focused on the participation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, after an absence of 13 years.

Al-Assad arrived in the coastal city of Jeddah on the Red Sea on Thursday evening to attend the annual summit of the League of Arab States, in his first participation since Damascus was suspended in 2011 in response to its suppression of popular protests that took to the streets before turning into a bloody conflict that claimed the lives of more than half a million people. .

"We express our happiness with our presence in Saudi Arabia. This summit is very important," said Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad, after his arrival in Jeddah a few days ago. "We wish this summit every success."

The Sirte summit in Libya in March 2010 was the last summit that Assad attended.

However, efforts to reintegrate Assad into the Arab incubator are not welcomed at the regional and international levels.

Qatar, openly opposed to Assad, announced that it would not normalize relations with the Damascus government, but indicated that it would not be an "obstacle" to the step taken by the Arab League. On Thursday, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, announced in a statement that he would lead his country's delegation to the Arab summit.

For its part, Washington on Wednesday reaffirmed its position that it "does not believe that Syria deserves to be returned to the Arab League." "We will not work to normalize relations with the Assad regime and we certainly don't support others to do either," foreign ministry spokesman Vedant Patil said.

In addition to the normalization of relations with Damascus, two major crises are expected to top the agenda of the summit: the month-long conflict in Sudan between the army led by Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, and the ongoing conflict in Yemen for more than eight years. .

Saudi Arabia's hosting of the Arab summit comes as Riyadh displays its diplomatic influence in the Middle East and beyond, after a number of diplomatic initiatives sparked by the sudden announcement of the normalization of relations with Iran, mediated by China, in March.

Since then, Riyadh has restored its diplomatic relations with Syria and intensified its diplomatic efforts to push for peace in Yemen, where it leads a military coalition against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

Riyadh also played a central role in the evacuations of civilians from Sudan when fighting suddenly broke out last month, and is currently hosting representatives from both sides of the conflict in order to reach a truce.

The US State Department condemns calls for hate during the flag march

The US State Department condemned what it described as "disgraceful and unacceptable" violence and racist behavior at the "annual flag march" of Israeli right-wing forces in occupied Jerusalem on Thursday.

"The United States categorically opposes any racist language in any form," said State Department spokesman Matthew Miller. "We condemn hateful chants such as 'Death to the Arabs' during yesterday's rallies in Jerusalem."

The US State Department urged all parties to exercise restraint and refrain from provocative actions or rhetoric that exacerbate tensions.

Regarding what was attributed to the right-wing Israeli Minister of Finance, Smotrich, that he asked to prepare to receive 500,000 additional settlers in the West Bank, in the settlements, and in the outposts, and what measures the United States might take to deter that or discourage him from following his plan to double the number of settlers in the occupied West Bank, The Deputy Spokesperson of the US State Department, Vedant Patel, responded to the question of the correspondent of "Al-Quds" dot-com, saying, "We communicate regularly with Israeli officials on this issue and will continue to do so."

Patel added, "You've heard me say this before. Like most previous administrations, we view settlement expansion as an obstacle to peace that undermines the geographic viability of the two-state solution. We remain opposed to any unilateral steps that incite tension, damage trust between the parties, and undermine the viability of the two-state solution." .

Palestinian observers believe that the success of the Jeddah summit depends on its ability to dismantle tendencies and tensions in the Arab region

Palestinian observers believe that the chances of success of the 32nd Arab summit, which will be held tomorrow (Friday) in the Saudi city of Jeddah, in dissolving conflicts and ending tensions in the region, will be fraught with dangers.

On the agenda of the Jeddah summit are several thorny files, including cordoning off the military fighting that erupted in Sudan, ending the political and military division in Libya, the presidential vacancy and the grinding socio-economic crisis in Lebanon, in addition to confronting the explosive situation in the Palestinian territories.

It is incumbent upon the two communities to succeed in presenting a new vision for Arab-Arab relations, rebuilding regional and international relations, and discussing the issue of joining more Arab countries to the BRICS group, in the hope of saving the region from successive economic crises.

The last summit at the level of Arab leaders of the League was held in Algeria last November, and it was the first after a three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 disease.

The summit, which is the second to bring together Arab leaders within 6 months, comes one day before tens of thousands of Israelis organize the annual flag march that passes through the Old City of Jerusalem, which threatens to explode the situation in the Palestinian territories similar to what happened in May 2021.

High hopes and thorny files
Nevertheless, the former Palestinian diplomat for Asia and Africa, Mazen Shamieh, says that the Arab summit is being held at an appropriate time to deal with large files that are on the table, indicating that Saudi Arabia's weight in chairing the Arab summit will give impetus to joint Arab action in the coming period.

Shamieh added to Xinhua that everyone has high hopes for it, expressing optimism about the summit and its outcomes, given that Saudi Arabia, with its size and capabilities, is able to set an agenda and find solutions, especially in the various Arab files.

Shamieh believes that the most important thing is that a number of Arab countries have applied for membership in the BRICS group, in addition to the fact that Arab countries are talking about bilateral agreements for the use of currencies other than the US dollar in intra-trade, especially related to oil.

On the other hand, Shamieh believes that under the current US administration headed by Joe Biden, a number of Arab countries have become convinced that the United States is a capitalist regime "without morals and unfair terms regarding dealings with its partners and allies, and there is unacceptable superiority."

Shamieh believes that the world is in the midst of changes taking place and taking place in order to arrange and build the new international order, in light of the fact that the existing international order is no longer accepted by the countries of the world.

Shamieh believes that countries in the Middle East and the world look favorably on the role that China may play with its stature and capabilities, in addition to being a non-colonial country, and therefore any geopolitical interventions from China in the region will have a positive resonance.

A new vision and future partnerships
For his part, the Palestinian writer and political analyst, Dr. Ibrahim Rubaiya, believes that China follows diplomacy with its calm Confucian rules, and it does not take impulsive steps, but rather cumulative steps based on mutual benefit, and these steps are consistent with the Saudi and Arab position, and therefore this would help the Riyadh summit to dismantle crises and ending tensions in the region.

According to the quartet, the success of the Riyadh summit begins with dismantling the existing crises and the concomitant measures to build confidence and reconciliation at the regional level, and the subsequent transformation of regional relations from conflict and competition to cooperative relations.

He told Xinhua that the basis for the settlement that began between Iran and Saudi Arabia and the restoration of Arab relations with Turkey is a common ground for settling the explosive summit files, especially the Syrian, Sudanese and Palestinian issues.

He adds that the prices paid by the Arab countries individually, and the region in general, are very large since the events of the Arab Spring, which created a crisis in the Arab region, and therefore there is a desire to reproduce relations on the basis of mutual cooperation.

In response to the extent of the repercussions of Saudi Arabia hosting the Arab Summit again after only five years, the Quartet says that Saudi Arabia today is completely different, as it is free from any international pressures and obligations and has become a regional player that diversifies in its alliances, investments, and its regional and international relations.

He adds that Saudi Arabia, under its leadership, is establishing a new form for the region and will work during the Jeddah summit to present a new vision for Arab relations, which would reflect positively on the Arab region and its future partnerships.

Shamieh agrees with what the Quartet went to, pointing out that Saudi Arabia is fully aware that its approach to calming the situation in the region is through the file and the Palestinian issue first, arranging the internal situation, ending the division and restoring national unity.

Shamieh believes that many agree that the progress of the peace process or normalization with Israel will not be without costs, and therefore Saudi Arabia and other countries are able to impose their conditions for new arrangements and cool the situation in the Middle East, but this will not be without resolving the Palestinian issue and supporting it.

He points out that despite the normalization agreements concluded between Israel and some countries, the agreements for the Israelis are of no value in light of the absence of Saudi Arabia at the top of the list of priorities as it is the center of the Islamic world and the largest Gulf country.

Shamieh stresses Saudi Arabia's ability to end the internal division and conclude reconciliation between the Palestinian parties in accepting a settlement based on the Saudi initiative launched by the late Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in 2002.

Restoration of bridges and Arab reunification
Palestinian writer and political analyst Omar al-Ghoul believes that the Jeddah summit this year will be held in light of the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement, and the decision to return Syria to the Arab League after more than a decade of suspending its membership, in addition to the decline of the American role in the region.

Al-Ghoul believes that the restoration of Saudi-Iranian relations came in the interest of the two countries at the beginning and the joint Arab files related to the conflict, such as the file of Syria, Yemen and others, considering that the completion and sponsorship of the agreement represents a strategic weight for China in the Middle East.

Al-Ghoul told Xinhua that since the announcement of the resumption of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, mediated by China, the Middle East region has witnessed a trend of reconciliation, which hints at signs of strengthening cooperation, unity and diplomatic independence.

He noted the importance of the honest Chinese role in finding a solution to the Palestinian issue, and that this role be a strong competitor with great weight in support of the Palestinian people's struggle for independence and freedom, which is considered an essential constant in Chinese policy historically.

Al-Ghoul pointed out that the United States has historically lost its popularity in the Arab region and now finds that Arab public opinion is negative towards the various American administrations and the American decision-maker because it has simply become the greatest threat to world peace.

It is believed that the Jeddah Summit will be full of vitality, in light of the insistence of the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, to restore bridges with all Arab countries and to reunite Arabs according to relative standards without any disharmony among the Arab countries.

Abu Rudeineh: Our people are the ones who give legitimacy in Jerusalem

The official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said today, Thursday, that it is the Palestinian people who grant legitimacy in Jerusalem, not Israel or America.

Abu Rudeineh added that Jerusalem, with its Islamic and Christian sanctities, is the eternal capital of the State of Palestine, and the Palestinian people are the bearers of legitimacy and historical right to it.

He said that the so-called march of the flags is an Israeli provocation and escalation that is condemned and rejected, stressing that these actions do not give legitimacy to anyone, and only the Palestinian people are the owners of the land and the right.

Abu Rudeineh held the occupation government fully responsible for this escalation and its repercussions, which will lead to an explosive situation.

He added that all the resolutions of international legitimacy, the most important of which is Resolution 2334, declared in an uninterpreted manner that East Jerusalem is an integral part of the land of the State of Palestine occupied in 1967.

He said that the US administration does not give legitimacy to anyone, and its silent stance towards the Israeli attacks encouraged the occupation authorities to persist in their attacks and violations against the Palestinian people.

Abu Rudeineh praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their defense of their land and sanctities, despite all the occupation measures, adhering to their legitimate right to defend their eternal capital, Jerusalem.

Homes were shattered as well as lives and dreams in Gaza after the last round

Najwa Abu Aisha was on the roof of her house in northwest Gaza City when shrapnel penetrated her spine and left her paralyzed, joining dozens of Palestinian victims who were injured in the latest round of violence between Israel and the Palestinian factions.

The woman, lying on a bed in Al-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza City, recounts, "I was on the roof checking the water barrels, when suddenly I heard the sound of an explosion that led to the fall of a water barrel on me and I fell on the neighbor's house. After that, I did not feel anything until I woke up in the hospital."

Abu Aisha, 48, is one of 190 Palestinians injured, of varying degrees, in five days of violence, according to the Ministry of Health in the impoverished coastal enclave controlled by Hamas.

And the woman continues, surrounded by her family members in the hospital room, "I am paralyzed, and I suffer from unbearable pain in the rest of my body. I cannot move."
The woman does not remember how the explosion occurred, but a member of her family told AFP that her house is located next to an Islamic Jihad site.

Her son, who was with her at the time of the accident, still cannot talk about what happened. And his mother continues, "There are no capabilities in Gaza. I hope that there will be a treatment for my condition outside Gaza."

The Israeli army justified the fall of a number of civilian casualties by saying that it "conducted an assessment that showed that the expected collateral damage to civilians and civilian property would not be severe compared to the expected military results from the attacks."

The escalation erupted after Israel targeted three military leaders in the Islamic Jihad movement, which responded by firing dozens of rockets at towns in southern Israel. As a result of the escalation, 35 people were killed, including 33 Palestinians, in the Gaza Strip.

Among the Palestinian dead were six children and three women, while two people were killed in Israel, one of whom was a worker from Gaza.

The recent confrontations were the most violent between Gaza and Israel since August 2022. The United Nations stated, quoting local officials in the Gaza Strip, that the latest round of escalation completely destroyed about 103 homes, while 140 homes were severely damaged.

The doctor, Mutasem Al-Nono, who supervises Abu Aisha, explains that her health condition is "somewhat stable, but she suffers from hemiplegia in the lower extremities. The injury was so severe that she had no hope of regaining movement in her lower extremities."

Her injury also meant cutting off the financial income of the family that supported her through her work in a kindergarten.

Hazem Muhanna, 62, who collects antiques, says that the destruction of his house in an Israeli raid on Gaza City "destroyed our dreams and our future."

"If they had destroyed my house and five other houses, it would have been easier for me than destroying the artifacts and artifacts that I cherish," he says, holding old banknotes and a jug inscribed with ornaments found among the rubble.

The man, a retired security employee, bemoans the possessions he collected from his salary decades ago to turn his home into an "art museum."

His elderly mother sits on a plastic chair in the narrow alley, while members of the family try to search for more salvageable items from the rubble.
Muhanna says that his brother received a phone call from the Israeli army on the night of the bombing warning him of the need to evacuate the house before it was bombed. "I don't know why the house was targeted. My daughters and sons and 50 other people were in the house," he says denouncing.

The Israeli army said it sought to warn Gazans before each imminent bombardment, explaining in a statement that "the buildings were not bombed until after the civilian population was completely evacuated."

Muhammad Sarsour, 29, was weeks away from his wedding date, but his dreams were shattered when one of his neighbors told him of the need to vacate his house, which he had recently finished preparing for his married life.

He continues, referring to his apartment in the city of Deir al-Balah in the center of the Strip, whose floor was covered with broken glass and deep cracks appeared in its walls, "I returned home and did not find anything, not a window, nor a bedroom, nor a door."

The shocked young man says, "I am devastated. I have nothing left to do in my life. For seven years I have been struggling to prepare the house. I work from early morning until evening, with 1,000 shekels (nine dollars), which I collect shekels for building my future. It's all gone." something in a day and a night.

He still has to pay installments for the home furnishings, but he has given up hope despite reaching a truce between the Israeli and Palestinian sides. He says, "Every two months or a year there is a war. We do not live. Our life is difficult. There is no life."

Haniyeh: What is happening in Jerusalem illustrates the nature of the conflict

Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, said on Thursday evening that what is happening in occupied Jerusalem after the flags march illustrates the nature of the conflict, with its religious and national dimensions.

In a press statement, Haniyeh considered that the closure of the Old City in Jerusalem reflects the settlers' fear of the steadfastness of the people of occupied Jerusalem.

He added, "The seasons of confrontation with the enemy continue, and our people will close the account only by liberating the land and Jerusalem and returning." like he said.

He believed that the Israeli occupation's mobilization from north to south to provide protection for the march of flags reflects the security fragility in which it is living.

He said, "The flag of Palestine, which flies over our land, establishes the identity of the homeland and its legitimate owners."

A new colonial plan to expand the colony in Hebron

The Land Research Center of the Arab Studies Association revealed that the Israeli occupation forces have implemented a new settlement plan with the aim of expanding the Migdal Oz settlement, which is built on citizens’ lands, north of Hebron.

In a report, the Center stated that, on May 14, 2023, the Israeli occupation authorities announced a new colonial plan to expand the Migdal Oz settlement, which is built on lands confiscated from the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron Governorate, noting that the Settlement Secondary Committee of the Planning Council The highest in the so-called Civil Administration is a detailed organizational chart bearing the number (1/3/407), accompanied by an announcement stating that the plan has been submitted for filing (for objection) within 60 days from the date of its publication.

The land area covered by the plan is (290 dunums) from the lands of the northern town of Beit Ummar, located in Natural Basin No. 2, in the locations of (Jabal Abu Souda, Khirbet Barikot).

The announcement stated that the plan aims to transform land use from agricultural lands, a forest area, antiquities and a tourist area according to the previous plan (RJ-5), to open areas, engineering facilities, public institutions, buildings and recreation areas.

The Land Research Center indicated that the works to change the use capacity target the plot of land located at the western end of the settlement, along the bypass road (Road No. 60), and it comes on an area planted with forest trees.

In their declaration, the occupation authorities claimed that the owner of the lands subject to planning is responsible for the governmental and abandoned property in the occupation authorities, knowing that these lands belong to the citizens of the town of Beit Ummar, but the occupation authorities - according to what the landowners reported - had prevented them from using and benefiting from them for security reasons. , under the pretext of its proximity to the colony, and then confiscated it and expropriated it from its original owners without legal procedures, and without relying on inherited land laws in the occupied West Bank, but rather based on military orders issued in the Palestinian territories, which aimed at confiscating the lands and transferring them to the treasury of the occupying state to be used as a reserve settlement stock. Expand it whenever you want.

The occupation authorities had previously targeted the Barikot and Jabal Abu Souda areas, by preventing construction in these areas, demolishing agricultural facilities and uprooting fruit trees from them with the aim of limiting urban expansion and agricultural spread in them, under the pretext of preventing friction with the colonists, and today the process of legitimizing its seizure and annexation to the colony and its expansion is taking place. .

The Land Research Center believes that the occupation's manipulation of the laws and customs of Palestinian land use that prevailed since the Ottoman era, passing through British colonialism and the Jordanian era, confirms the illegality of all occupation measures aimed at stripping the rights of land possession and granting them to the colonizers who are not originally permitted to settle in it according to the Fourth Geneva Convention, and according to The Hague Treaty, and United Nations resolutions have considered that the transfer of citizens of the occupying state (Israel) to the occupied Palestinian territories is an illegal and unacceptable procedure for the international community. This also includes the illegality of annexing eastern Jerusalem and declaring it the capital of the occupying state, and moving the embassy American to it.

In addition, the spatial plan (RJ-5) may not be modified except with a new spatial plan carried out by the authority authorized to do so within the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967, which is the State of Palestine, and this will only be done by removing and dismantling the occupying settlements, removing the effects of the occupation and recognizing the sovereignty of the State of Palestine over the entirety of it. Its soil according to United Nations resolutions and international legitimacy.

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned the settler groups, extremists among them, ministers in the Israeli occupation government, and Knesset members, who stormed and desecrated the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces, and performed their racist rituals in its courtyards.

85 dead in clashes between cattle breeders and farmers in Nigeria

The death toll in clashes between herdsmen and farmers in Plateau state in central Nigeria has risen from 30 to 85, a local official announced Thursday.

The head of the Local Government Council, Minister Dabot Daniel, told AFP that after the attacks that took place on Monday in Mango district, "85 bodies have been recovered."

He added that a number of people were injured, without specifying their number, while "many homes were destroyed and a large number of people were displaced."

The government's Emergency Management Agency also stated that "thousands of people are on the roads looking for safe places to go" in the aftermath of the attacks.

The region straddles the dividing line between the predominantly Muslim north of Nigeria and the predominantly Christian south. It has been witnessing for years the acts of ethnic and religious nose.

It is not yet clear what caused the recent outbreak of violence, but mutual killings between cattle herders and farmers often end in attacks by heavily armed gangs on villages.

The agency's director of search and rescue operations, Johnny Bala, said the agency's team visited the area on Wednesday.

Ukraine announces the destruction of most of the missiles launched by Russian forces on Kiev

The Ukrainian Air Force announced Thursday that it shot down 29 of the thirty cruise missiles launched by Russia in a new night attack on Kiev and other Ukrainian regions, which resulted in at least one death in Odessa, in the latest example of this type of attack launched by Russian forces since the beginning of this month. .

This ninth series of Russian missile strikes targeting the capital, Kiev, especially since the beginning of May, comes at a time when Kiev says it is finalizing its preparations to launch a large-scale counterattack to remove Russian forces from Ukrainian territory.
During this latest "night attack", Ukrainian forces succeeded in destroying "33 air targets - 29 missiles and four drones," said the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk.

The Civil and Military Administration in Kiev said that the attacks launched by Russian forces since the beginning of May were "unprecedented in their strength, intensity and diversity."

It added that Russian strategic bombers fired cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea, while reconnaissance marches flew over the capital at a later time.

And the Civil and Military Administration in Kiev said that "all enemy targets were detected and destroyed in Kiev airspace."

And the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, announced that a fire broke out in a company after falling debris, without recording injuries.

In the Black Sea port of Odessa, one person was killed and two others wounded during an attack on an industrial site, according to a military spokesman.

The army spoke of "cruise missile" attacks in the Vinnytsia region in the center of the country, while local media reported explosions in Khmelnitsky, about 100 kilometers to the west.

These new attacks also come a day after Ukraine's grain export deal was extended by two months. This agreement is important for ensuring the maintenance of global food security.

On Thursday, the Russian authorities announced that a goods train carrying grain derailed in Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014, without causing casualties, at the height of a series of sabotage incidents that Moscow regularly attributes to Kiev.

For its part, the local railway authority announced in a statement that the accident was the result of "the actions of third parties," hinting at sabotage of a formula previously used when trains derailed in early May in a Russian region bordering Ukraine.

For his part, a Russian parliamentary official spoke of the explosion of an explosive device.

On the diplomatic level, the Chinese special envoy to Ukraine, Li Hui, concluded Thursday a two-day visit in Kiev to discuss a "solution" to the conflict.

"There is no magic solution to the crisis, and all parties (...) must build mutual trust and create conditions for stopping war and dialogue," Li said, according to a statement issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Li's visit to Kiev was part of a European tour to present Beijing's proposals to end the war.

In his talks with Ukrainian officials, including Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Li added that China "will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine within its capabilities."

Kuleba stressed that Ukraine would not accept any proposal "that would lead to the loss of its territory or the freezing of the conflict."

Li Hui will visit Poland on Friday, then Germany, France and Russia in the following days.

At the United Nations, the UN Security Council meets Thursday at 19:00 GMT to discuss the situation in Ukraine on the eve of the start of the G-7 summit in Japan, where tougher sanctions on the Russian economy will be proposed.

Jordan: Israel has no sovereignty over Jerusalem and the holy sites

Today, Thursday, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that Israel has no sovereignty over Jerusalem and the holy sites, rejecting all provocative actions practiced by the Israeli occupation state on the Temple Mount.

In a statement, the ministry condemned allowing a member of the Israeli government, members of the Knesset and extremists to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing its rejection of provocative actions under the protection of the Israeli police.

The Ministry warned of an exacerbation of the situation in light of allowing the provocative and escalatory march in occupied Jerusalem, stressing that Israel has no sovereignty over Jerusalem and the holy sites, and that East Jerusalem is an occupied Palestinian land.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sinan Majali, confirmed that the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by a member of the Israeli government and members of the Knesset, and the continued incursions of extremists and their provocative actions, which are carried out under the protection of the Israeli police, is a violation of the historical and legal status quo, and of international law.

He stressed that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, with its entire area of 144 dunums, is a pure place of worship for Muslims, and that the Jordanian Department of Endowments for Jerusalem and the Affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is the legal authority with exclusive jurisdiction to manage the affairs of the Haram and regulate entry to it.

The official spokesman for the Ministry called on Israel, in its capacity as the occupying power, to desist from all practices and violations against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to respect its sanctity, stressing the need to stop all measures aimed at changing the historical and legal status quo, and to respect the authority of the Jerusalem Endowment Administration and the affairs of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
