Escalation of differences in the Israeli government coalition

Disagreements escalated within the Israeli government coalition, after the presentation of the new budget file, which was prepared by the extremist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, angering his ally, the so-called National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, the Haredi parties and others.

This prompted Ben Gvir and his party members to be absent from the Knesset sessions to vote on bills submitted by the government coalition, which caused him to lose them, in addition to the success of the Israeli opposition in passing other bills.

Just before midnight, Netanyahu criticized those moves by Ben Gvir's party, accusing the latter and his party of trying to climb the tree.

Netanyahu said during his participation in a celebration of the so-called "Jerusalem Unification Day" at the religious school in Jerusalem, "I want to tell members of the coalition that we do not have and will not have a better government, a national and strong government that cares about Israel's heritage and its future... So it's time to stop threatening and boycotting." Climbing trees... Everyone needs to work together and pass the important budget for our people, the settlements and the Land of Israel."

Netanyahu echoed his words, at a time when he was participating in the celebration of Ben Gvir and Smotrich, whose relationship together was strained due to this crisis.

After midnight, Ben Gvir said, in a tweet on Twitter, in response to Netanyahu, by saying: "Judicial reforms... Settlement all over the West Bank... Evacuation of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar... Taking terrorists' phones in prisons... All of this and more does not mean that Climb on the tree, we can do it with our strength and our tenacity.. We have a right-wing government and we must not miss it.. This government must fulfill the great task of being a complete right-wing that provides security and protects our country, and protects Jerusalem.” according to his expression.
