She added that citizen Amira was surprised by a notice from the occupation municipality to demolish the house, giving him only hours to carry out the demolition.

It's worth noting that the occupation authorities are forcing Palestinian citizens, particularly in occupied Jerusalem, to demolish their homes on their own, claiming they lack permits. Those who refuse to do so are subjected to demolition by occupation bulldozers, imposing exorbitant costs on the homeowner.

The Israeli municipality in Jerusalem refuses to grant Palestinians building permits and demolishes or forces them to demolish their homes. This practice violates international law and humanitarian principles that guarantee the right to housing. This practice is part of the Israeli occupation's systematic practice of forcibly displacing Palestinians from Jerusalem in exchange for expanding settlements in and around the city.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday that Ronen Bar will not remain head of the Shin Bet security service, despite a Supreme Court decision to freeze his dismissal.

"Ronen Bar will no longer be head of the Shin Bet," Netanyahu said in a recorded speech released by his office.

He claimed that Israel "will remain a democratic state... and there will be no civil war."

He added, "The time is right to end the term of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, following his agency's reports on the failures of October 7."

He continued, "This is what also happened with former Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi," who left his post in early March and was succeeded by Eyal Zamir.

Since the Supreme Court froze Bar's dismissal, thousands of Israelis have been demonstrating, demanding that Netanyahu respect the court's decision and protesting the dismissal of the Shin Bet chief.

On Friday, the Netanyahu government decided to terminate Bar's duties on April 10 unless a permanent replacement is appointed before that date. The same day, the Israeli Supreme Court froze his dismissal pending consideration of petitions submitted against the decision.

The court did not specify when it would begin considering the petitions.

The opposition parties Yesh Atid, the State Camp, Yisrael Beiteinu, and the Democrats submitted a joint petition on Friday, and petitions were also submitted by organizations such as the Movement for Quality Government.

The petitions stated that the dismissal was based on external considerations related to the Shin Bet investigations into Netanyahu's office and the agency's recently published position, which holds the political leadership responsible for the October 7, 2023, disaster.

Netanyahu previously justified his decision to dismiss Bar by citing a "lack of confidence" in him, as part of the fallout from the events of October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked 22 settlements and 11 military bases near Gaza, killing and capturing Israelis, in response to "the daily crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and their holy sites."

Barr hinted that the prime minister's decision was politically motivated, and that it stemmed from his refusal to meet Netanyahu's demands for "personal loyalty."

In this context, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz quoted Carmi Gillon, the former head of the Shin Bet, as saying at a demonstration in West Jerusalem on Thursday, "Netanyahu is sacrificing the Shin Bet and the attorney general on Sunday, and later this week, by destroying the standing of the Supreme Court."

He explained that this demonstration may be "the last democratic protest in the State of Israel."

A citizen was killed and another was injured on Saturday evening in an Israeli airstrike on Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

According to local sources, Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Abu Hassanein family near the entrance to University Street in Rafah, killing one citizen and wounding another. Another home was also targeted in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

In Tulkarm refugee camp, occupation forces forced dozens of residents to evacuate their homes in the Muqata'a neighborhood adjacent to the eastern part of the city, in addition to a number of residents of the Raba'a neighborhood. They also seized the homes of Ibrahim and Sami al-Tawil, Abu Badi' Allariyeh, Jamal Abu Musa, and the Musleh family in the Qaqun neighborhood, turning them into military barracks after giving their residents a short period of time to leave.

Citizen Alaa Al-Tawil, one of the victims, said that he received a call at dawn today from the occupation army demanding that he and all the residents of the building in which he lives immediately evacuate his home. He noted that he left his home without taking anything with him except his official papers and a small bag of clothes.

Israeli bulldozers carried out extensive land-leveling operations in the Qaqun neighborhood of the camp, causing further damage to the infrastructure. They also blocked alleyways and entrances with rubble and earth mounds, while explosions were heard inside the camp.

The occupation forces also sent military reinforcements accompanied by water tankers to the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps.

In Nour Shams camp, the occupation army detained women as they attempted to enter their homes in the Jabal al-Salihin area to retrieve some essential items. The army also burned down the home of Mohammed Briki in the al-Manshiya neighborhood, as part of its systematic policy of destruction in the camp.

In the Aktaba suburb, occupation bulldozers destroyed infrastructure in the employee housing area opposite Nour Shams camp.

In the Dhnaba suburb, occupation forces raided the Khreisha Taxi office, completely destroying its contents before detaining young man Amjad Khreisha for a period of time before releasing him. They also raided the home of citizen Maan Yassin, destroying its contents and stealing a sum of money.

For the second time in 24 hours, Israeli occupation forces raided the "Fawal Al-Sham" restaurant on Nablus Street, detaining its employees before forcibly closing it. The raid was the same day that Israeli forces raided the restaurant and vandalized its contents.

During a protest in Tel Aviv, Lapid threatened to launch a general strike if Netanyahu's government did not comply with the Supreme Court's decision to freeze the dismissal of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar.

Early Friday morning, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that the government had unanimously approved Bar's dismissal.

The office said in a statement, "The government unanimously approved Netanyahu's proposal to end the term of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar."

He added: "Ronen Bar is scheduled to end his term as head of the Shin Bet on April 10, 2025, or when a permanent Shin Bet head is appointed - whichever comes first."

This is the first time in Israel's history that a Shin Bet chief has been dismissed, according to the Hebrew news website The Times of Israel.

The decision was taken despite protests from thousands of Israelis.

The cabinet meeting comes as Israel resumed its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip at dawn last Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of 634 Palestinians and the injury of 1,172 others, most of them women and children, as of Saturday, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

Thousands of Israelis demonstrated Saturday evening in several areas across the country, demanding an end to the war on the Gaza Strip to protect the lives of prisoners.

Private Hebrew media outlets, including Yedioth Ahronoth and Channel 12, reported that thousands of Israelis took to the streets in demonstrations across the country to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government to halt the war on Gaza, fearing for the fate of prisoners held there.

Protesters also demanded the reversal of the decision to dismiss Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, amid escalating internal tensions.

A Palestinian human rights center said that Israel is using "deprivation" as a weapon to turn the Gaza Strip into an uninhabitable place, and warned of an "unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe" threatening the lives of Palestinians by depriving them of clean and safe water sources.

This came in a statement issued by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights on Saturday, on the occasion of World Water Day, which falls on March 22 of each year.

The center added that it warns of "an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe threatening the lives of 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, who are living a horrific reality in which they are condemned to a slow death through deprivation of water and systematic deprivation of clean, safe water sources."

He explained that Israel continues to "use deprivation and water cuts as part of its genocide, coinciding with World Water Day."

He stated that "Gaza's water infrastructure, desalination facilities, and sewage treatment facilities have been massively destroyed as a result of the military offensive launched by the Israeli occupation on the Strip since October 7, 2023."

In addition to the destruction, the center said that the Israeli decision to cut off the limited electricity supply to the central desalination plant in the central Gaza Strip exacerbated the deteriorating humanitarian conditions and the water crisis.

On March 9, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority announced that Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen had decided to halt electricity supplies to Gaza "immediately." Israel had been supplying the Strip with limited power to operate the water station in the central Gaza Strip.

The center quoted a joint statement by the Water Authority and the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, stating that Israel had completely or partially destroyed more than 85 percent of water and sanitation facilities, putting them out of service.

Citing an assessment issued by Oxfam, he reported that the damaged facilities included 1,675 kilometers of water and sewage networks, 85 desalination plants, and 246 wells, in addition to the destruction of 40 large water reservoirs.

The Center called on the Special Rapporteur on the right to water and sanitation to declare Gaza an environmental disaster area due to the collapse of water and sanitation systems, which has led to the spread of infectious diseases and epidemics.

Local sources reported that an Israeli drone bombed a group of civilians in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood west of Rafah, killing four of them and wounding several others.

Two citizens were killed in an Israeli airstrike near the Star factory in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

US Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steven Witkoff, indicated that "normalization of relations between Lebanon, Syria, and Israel has become a real possibility." Speaking about Abu Mohammed al-Julani, who heads Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and currently heads the Syrian government, despite the group remaining on the US terrorist list, he said, "Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has changed from what he was."

I personally realize that at 68, I'm not the same person I was 30 years ago. Ahmed Shara, formerly known as Abu Mohammed al-Julani in Syria, is probably a different person now. They've kicked Iran out of there."

Witkoff emphasized that normalizing relations between Lebanon and Israel, and then Syria and Israel, could be part of a broader effort to achieve peace in the region. He added, "Imagine if Lebanon normalized relations with Israel, then Syria did the same, and Saudi Arabia signed a normalization agreement with Israel after achieving peace in Gaza. This would be a prerequisite for normalization with Saudi Arabia."

He stressed that such steps could lead to the formation of an alliance among the Gulf states to work together to ensure regional stability.

A woman was killed and five people were injured in a series of Israeli raids on villages in southern Lebanon.

Settlers chased shepherds in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, on Saturday.

Media activist Osama Makhamreh said that settlers stormed the Tel Ma'in area and chased shepherds from their pastures. This coincided with settlers releasing their livestock into agricultural crops in the Sha'b al-Batm area, Wadi Ma'in, and several villages and ruins in the Masafer Yatta area.

He pointed out that the colonists have intensified their attacks on pastures, livestock, and agricultural crops, and have attacked citizens' homes in Al-Masafir, with the aim of seizing citizens' lands for the benefit of colonial expansion.

Since the start of the aggression on the city and the camp, they have intensified their raids on towns and villages in Jenin Governorate, launching widespread arrest campaigns, conducting field investigations, and raiding and searching homes.

Last Wednesday, occupation forces notified the demolition of approximately 66 homes in the neighborhoods of Al-Hawashin, Al-Aloub, Azzam Mosque, Joura Al-Dhahab, and Al-Samran. Residents are demanding that they be allowed to access their homes and remove their essential belongings before the demolition.

Medical and specialist teams recovered the bodies of nine dead including five children and a woman, this Saturday morning, after Israeli occupation aircraft bombed a house east of Gaza City.

The official WAFA news agency reported that specialized crews were able to retrieve the bodies of 9 dead from under the rubble of the house that the occupation forces bombed at dawn in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the east, which belonged to the Al-Mashharawi family, and they were transferred to the Baptist Hospital in the city.

Who scored more goals? Of course, it is impossible to compare a country with the most powerful army, global support, and American authorization, with a resistance with limited capabilities, isolated from any support or assistance. It is also impossible to deny the extent of the heavy losses incurred by the resistance factions, whether in terms of weapons and military capabilities, or in terms of destruction, the number of martyrs, and humanitarian disasters. This means that raising expectations or demands from the resistance (under the pretext of wishes, desires, or defending dignity) to continue the war and endure further genocide seems illogical, immoral, and devoid of any political or humanitarian justification.

I know, very well, that many, including me, will invoke the state of the Arab regime that failed the resistance, and the coming fate of the region that will be decided by Israel and from which no one will escape. Perhaps others will invoke the crisis of Israel and its weaknesses, then the resistance as the only option to curb the project to liquidate the Palestinian cause. All of this is understandable and legitimate, but reality points to other facts that cannot be denied, the most important of which is: The Palestinian cause is no longer a priority, neither in the world nor for most Arab countries. Also, the divided Palestinian reality has become incapable of carrying it. Most importantly, the project of the great Israeli war that Trump is adopting has gone beyond Palestine to the entire region. Accordingly, the question “How do we survive” has become a title for many in the region, and it is a legitimate question in light of a crisis-ridden reality.

How does Hamas think about getting out of this war or stopping it, and does it have the necessary cards (other than 59 hostages) to negotiate? And how does Tel Aviv think about snatching a major victory that will restore its prestige and refute the notion that its prestige and power were broken on October 7? The answers are difficult and require a long discussion, but what is certain is that Hamas, along with the resistance, will continue to fight until its last breath, and will not give up its weapons unless they are stripped of them by force. Last night, the occupation forces escalated their military measures in the city of Tulkarm, forcing more residents of several residential buildings in the Da'irat al-Sir neighborhood in the northern part of the city adjacent to Nablus Street to evacuate them. These buildings are: al-Waha, al-Muhandis, Abu al-Foul, and the home of the Younis family. Dozens of families were forced to leave their apartments, giving them less than two hours to evacuate, turning them into closed military barracks.

This escalation comes as part of a series of measures implemented by the occupation forces in the city, including the seizure of homes and residential buildings, specifically on Nablus Street and the adjacent area of buildings in the northern neighborhood, and converting them into military sites.
