An Israeli army spokesman said that air raid sirens were activated after a missile was fired from Yemen.

Informed sources said on Friday that Israel is seeking to inform the United States that it cannot turn a blind eye to Iran's possession of nuclear weapons.

An Israeli military source stated that his country's goal "is to make Trump (US President Donald Trump) aware that Iran is on the verge of possessing a nuclear bomb, and we cannot turn a blind eye to that."

The ministry confirmed that the occupation forces used the hospital as a headquarters for their forces throughout their control of the so-called Netzarim axis, before proceeding to completely destroy it.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health considered this a continuation of the systematic destruction of the health system and a continuation of the genocide against Palestinians.

Israeli occupation forces stormed villages and towns west of Salfit on Friday evening.

The Israeli army claimed in a statement that it "carried out an assassination targeting the head of Hamas' military intelligence in southern Gaza yesterday, Thursday."

The statement claimed that the target was Osama Tabash, who was also the head of the movement's monitoring and targeting unit.

There was no immediate comment from Hamas on these allegations.

The Israeli occupation army announced on Thursday that it had assassinated Rashid Jahjouh, a Hamas leader in Gaza, as part of a series of targeted killings of Hamas leaders in recent days, coinciding with the occupation's resumption of airstrikes and ground operations in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee reported via the X platform that the army and the internal security service (Shabak) targeted "in recent days Rashid Jahjouh, who assumed his position after the assassination of his predecessor, Sami Odeh, in July 2024."

Adraee also claimed that the occupation forces assassinated Ismail Abdel Aal, whom he described as a prominent member of the Islamic Jihad movement, in a separate raid.

Israeli occupation bulldozers have begun excavation work around the old cemetery in Jenin camp and parts of the Al-Hadaf neighborhood in Jenin city.

According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers destroyed the area surrounding the old cemetery in Jenin camp, and began demolition and bulldozing operations in the Al-Hadaf neighborhood adjacent to the camp.

Israeli occupation forces continue to send reinforcements to the city of Jenin and its camp, as the aggression enters its 60th day. Two days ago, the Israeli army published a plan to demolish 66 buildings in four neighborhoods in Jenin camp.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres said on Friday that the continued expansion of Israeli settlements represents an "existential threat to the possibility of establishing an independent Palestinian state."

This was stated by the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (ad interim), Sigrid Kaag, during her briefing to the UN Security Council on the implementation of Resolution 2334, which called on Israel to immediately cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Kach explained that Guterres stressed that Palestinians are "increasingly confined to shrinking and disconnected areas, dramatically altering the landscape and demographic composition of the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem," according to the United Nations.

She said that Guterres believes that the continued expansion of Israeli settlements represents "an existential threat to the possibility of establishing a contiguous, independent, and viable Palestinian state."

Kach noted that between December 7, 2024, and March 13, 2025, settlement activity continued at a high rate, with Israel advancing or approving approximately 10,600 settlement units in the occupied West Bank, including 4,920 units in East Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities demolished, seized, sealed, or forced people to demolish 460 Palestinian structures, displacing 576 people, half of them children, according to the United Nations.

The Security Council adopted Resolution 2334 in 2016, which, among other things, calls for immediate steps to prevent violence against civilians, refrain from provocative actions and inflammatory rhetoric, and reverse negative trends that threaten the two-state solution.

Kach expressed her sorrow over the death of a UN employee in an attack on a UN site in Gaza two days ago, which also injured five other employees.

She also expressed "deep concern over the resumption of hostilities in Gaza this week, which has claimed the lives of hundreds of Palestinians, most of them women and children."

On Wednesday, the head of the United Nations Office for Project Services, Jorge Moreira da Silva, announced the death of a UN employee and the injury of five others in an airstrike on Gaza.

Hassan Malihat, general supervisor of the Al-Baidar organization for the defense of Bedouin rights, explained that settlers stormed the community and grazed their sheep among the residents' homes, under the protection of occupation forces. This is part of a plan to tighten the noose on Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley, with the aim of forcibly displacing the Bedouins and seizing their lands.

Implementation of Resolution 2334

The Security Council adopted Resolution 2334 in 2016, which calls for, among other things, immediate steps to prevent violence against civilians, refrain from provocative actions and inflammatory rhetoric, and reverse negative trends that threaten the two-state solution—all of which continued at an alarming rate during the reporting period.

Kaag affirmed that the Secretary-General "unequivocally condemns the widespread killing and injury of civilians, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure in Gaza," stressing that nothing can justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people.

Guterres also condemned indiscriminate attacks and the use of human shields, urging all parties to respect their obligations under international humanitarian law. He reiterated his call for a sustainable ceasefire and urged the parties to redouble efforts to end the humanitarian suffering.

The UN official said that the Secretary-General rejects the forced displacement of the Palestinian population from any part of the occupied Palestinian territory, "which constitutes a serious violation of human rights and international humanitarian law, and strongly rejects any form of ethnic cleansing."

Kaag said the Secretary-General was appalled by the "dire humanitarian situation," stressing that "humanitarian aid is non-negotiable."

The Secretary-General strongly condemned the Israeli occupying authorities' suspension of humanitarian aid to Gaza since 2 March, and urged the immediate resumption of humanitarian aid and commercial goods.

Alarming situation in the West Bank

Regarding the occupied West Bank, Kach expressed deep concern about the escalation of violence and the increasing displacement of Palestinians – several refugee camps have been nearly emptied of their residents – who remain denied the right to return to their homes.

She said the Secretary-General was deeply concerned about any long-term presence of Israeli occupation forces in the camps, a fact confirmed by the occupation authorities last month.

The Secretary-General also strongly condemned all acts of violence against civilians, including acts of terrorism, and expressed concern about deadly attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians, sometimes in close proximity to and with the support of the Israeli occupying forces.

He renewed his call to the concerned parties to respect and preserve the status quo at the holy sites in Jerusalem, while taking into account Jordan's special and historical role.

Guterres reiterated that there is no alternative to UNRWA and condemned the violation of the sanctity of UN premises, including the attempted forcible closure of UNRWA schools. Kaag said, "National legislation cannot alter Israel's obligations under international law."

The Secretary-General welcomed the ongoing efforts of countries in the region, international partners, and the Palestinian Authority, including the Gaza reconstruction plan endorsed by the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

He said that Gaza and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, should be treated as a single entity, politically, economically and administratively.

Kach said everyone must work together to establish a "political framework that sets out concrete, irreversible, and time-bound steps."

She added that the occupation must end as soon as possible, and that a viable two-state solution is "long overdue."

The Israeli occupation issued new "evacuation orders" to citizens in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday, demanding that they move immediately to the southern part of the Strip.

The "evacuation orders" included the Sultans, Karama, and Al-Awda areas in the northern Gaza Strip, and were accompanied by a threat from the occupation to bomb those areas.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that he had ordered his forces to occupy new areas in the Gaza Strip, evacuate them of Palestinians, and expand the surrounding "buffer zones," under the pretext of "protecting Israeli population centers."

Katz threatened to occupy more territory in the Gaza Strip and escalate his aggression against the territory until all Israeli detainees are released.

Last Tuesday morning, the Israeli occupation resumed its war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, resulting in approximately 600 martyrs and more than 1,000 wounded by Thursday evening, 70% of whom are children, women, and the elderly.

The occupation expanded its aggression through a ground invasion of the "Martyrs' Junction" area, reaching Salah al-Din Street, which connects the north and south of the Gaza Strip, in addition to the Shaboura refugee camp area in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, and the northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his "concern" on Friday over the resumption of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip, stressing Moscow's readiness to assist in "de-escalation."

The Kremlin said in a statement that the Russian president, during a phone call with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, expressed "concern over the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip," noting that both sides expressed "their willingness to work to de-escalate the situation," according to Agence France-Presse.

Israel resumed its military campaign early Tuesday morning with a wave of deadly strikes, breaking the relative calm that had prevailed in the devastated Palestinian enclave since a ceasefire took effect on January 19.

In response, Hamas announced the launch of several rockets at Tel Aviv on Thursday, its first military response to the rising civilian death toll. Israel said it had closed the main road between the north and south of the Gaza Strip, while its forces expanded ground operations, which it resumed on Wednesday.

The Trump administration is considering plans to sanction international financiers behind pro-Hamas protests, including prominent Qatari nationals with significant assets in the United States, according to the Free Beacon (a far-right newspaper with close ties to the Israel lobby and other right-wing forces), citing current and former US officials familiar with the internal discussions.

This move seeks to build on President Donald Trump's executive order issued last December, authorizing the deportation of international students involved in pro-Palestinian demonstrations and protests calling for an end to Israel's genocidal war on Gaza on college campuses across the United States.

The newspaper claims that instead of targeting protest participants, the administration will target their financiers.

It is noteworthy that during more than 17 decades of demonstrations, the US administration has been unable to produce a single piece of evidence, however flimsy, indicating that any of the protests were funded by foreign sources.

The administration could, for example, impose sanctions on foreign individuals it claims are supplying groups like Students for Justice in Palestine, and in cases where these individuals (the predators) hold US visas, it could revoke them.

The newspaper claimed that a senior US official, speaking at a secret hearing to discuss the ongoing deliberations, told it: "President Trump has made it a priority to ensure that Jewish students, indeed all students, feel safe and free from harassment on college campuses." He added: "To this end, his administration is taking a comprehensive approach, not only reviewing the visas and green cards of student instigators, but also, for example, pursuing the financiers of the protests wherever they may be."

These plans reflect the Trump administration's intent to clamp down on Palestinian students and their allies, whom the administration may accuse of being Hamas supporters, "by sanctioning their most prominent funders, including several former Qatari officials known for their ties to the Iran-backed group."

It's worth noting that former Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines claimed last summer, without any evidence, that Iranian government entities funded anti-Israel protests in the United States. Some Biden administration officials discussed similar plans to cut off foreign funding or protests, "according to a former US diplomat involved in the efforts then and now, who said the administration shelved the plans to avoid upsetting the Doha government, which was mediating peace talks between Israel and Hamas," according to the newspaper.

"This was on the table when I was there, but the previous administration was a bit reluctant to take extreme measures, like revoking visas," the diplomat said. "But that's not a problem for this administration, and we hear they're considering all options—from individual sanctions to revoking visas."

Those who advocate for banning all protests critical of Israel claim: "Anti-Semitism on campuses cannot be eradicated without eliminating its funding, and the funders are Qatar."

"The recent announcement closely mirrors policy proposals to target current and former foreign officials who fund Hamas in the United States, particularly those from Qatar, which continues to maintain close ties with Hamas and funds its operations," the newspaper reported.

According to the newspaper, one of the former officials who has drawn attention is Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, a prominent Qatari businessman and member of the royal family who served as Prime Minister of Qatar from 2007 to 2013.

Al Thani, along with former Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, owns the Maybourne Beverly Hills Hotel, a luxury hotel that has faced pro-Israel protests in recent months.

Some Republican members of Congress are working on parallel plans to target student groups such as Students for Justice in Palestine and other university organizations.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country has accelerated diplomatic contacts to restore a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stop the genocide, and end the injustice.

This came in a speech he delivered on Friday during an event marking Nowruz in Istanbul.

He added: "We will not allow the genocidal gang, who are becoming more reckless by the day, to turn our region into a sea of blood."

He stressed that "those who draw new maps for themselves will, God willing, not be able to achieve their dirty goals."

President Erdogan announced an increase in humanitarian aid to support Palestinians in Gaza ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

He pointed out that "the children, women, civilians and innocent people who were martyred in the renewed Israeli attacks on Gaza have broken everyone's hearts."

He stressed that Türkiye stands with the Palestinians in every way it can during these difficult days, as it has done in the past.

Referring to Israel, Erdogan said: "We have done and will do everything necessary to ensure that the terror state that feeds on the blood of children is condemned not only in the conscience of humanity but also before international courts."

He continued: "As nations that have lived side by side in brotherhood in this region for a thousand years, we will build our future of peace, tranquility and stability together."

A Palestinian was killed and another injured when the occupation forces bombed a house in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.

Israel's attorney general warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he would be barred from appointing a new Shin Bet chief, following a Supreme Court ruling suspending the dismissal of Ronen Bar.

"According to a Supreme Court ruling, it is forbidden to take any action that would undermine the status of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar," Gali Baharav-Miara wrote in a letter to Netanyahu.

She added, "It is prohibited to appoint a new head of the Shin Bet, and no interviews are allowed for this position."

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced on Friday that he had ordered his forces to occupy new areas in the Gaza Strip, evacuate them of Palestinians, and expand the surrounding "buffer zones," under the pretext of "protecting Israeli population centers."

Katz threatened to occupy more territory in the Gaza Strip and escalate his aggression against the Strip until all Israeli detainees are released.

He said, "Israel will use all available military and civilian pressure, including evacuating residents to the south and implementing the voluntary migration plan proposed by US President Donald Trump for the residents of the Strip."

The UN Security Council will hold its regular open session today, Friday, on the "situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question," followed by a closed consultation session.

Acting Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Sigrid Kaag, will present a quarterly update on the implementation of Resolution 2334 of 2016, which called on Israel to cease all its colonial activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.

The Council held a session on Thursday at the request of the United States and France regarding Gaza, preceded by a session on Wednesday at the request of Algeria and Somalia regarding the same issue, and another session on Tuesday.

Kaag is also expected to brief Council members on the situation in the West Bank, where Israel has been carrying out its aggression since January 21, displacing tens of thousands from refugee camps in the northern governorates and coinciding with an escalation in settler violence and the demolition of Palestinian structures, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The session will also address the dangers of the resumption of Israel's large-scale aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilians, most of them children and women, as well as UN staff, including five from UNRWA.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies' spokesman, Tommaso Della Longa, said on Friday that the water shortage in the Gaza Strip is leading to increased disease rates, especially among children.

At a weekly press conference at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Longa noted that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society had received hundreds of calls in the past 48 hours in Gaza, where Israel continues its genocide.

He added: "Our teams report that the impact of the chronic water shortage in Gaza has become increasingly severe over the past three days. This means that disease rates are on the rise, particularly among children."

He explained that doctors in Gaza are exhausted and that essential medical supplies are running out.

He pointed out that humanitarian aid has not reached Gaza for nearly three weeks due to Israel's closure of the crossings.

He stated that the Palestinian Red Crescent's ambulance service had been severely affected by the depletion of fuel supplies, with only 23 ambulances remaining out of the 53 operating before the crossings were closed due to the fuel shortage.

Longa called on the parties to protect civilians, humanitarian workers, and medical personnel, and to ensure safe and unhindered access for aid and essential services throughout the Strip.

He stressed the need to open all existing border crossings to ensure a sustainable and expanded flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza, including medical supplies, food, and fuel.

Egypt on Friday "categorically" denied media reports that Cairo was preparing to temporarily relocate half a million Palestinians to a designated city in North Sinai as part of a plan to rebuild the Gaza Strip.

This came in a statement issued by the Egyptian State Information Service in response to media allegations, without specifying the source, emphasizing Cairo's firm position of "absolute and absolute rejection of any attempt to displace our Palestinian brothers."

The authority said in a statement, "Egypt categorically and completely denies allegations circulated by some media outlets that it is prepared to temporarily relocate half a million residents of Gaza to a designated city in North Sinai as part of the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip."

In this context, the Authority noted that this firm and clear Egyptian position is the basis upon which and for which the plan presented by Egypt at the recent emergency Arab League summit in Cairo for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip was based, on March 4.

Reports have circulated in recent hours claiming that Egypt is preparing to transfer half a million Palestinians from Gaza to a city in North Sinai.

Israeli Supreme Court Justice Gila Knafi-Steinmetz issued a precautionary injunction on Friday, freezing the Israeli government's decision yesterday to dismiss Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar. The injunction was issued while she considered petitions against the dismissal filed by opposition groups and parties.

He added, "I must look at him with my own eyes and rely on him professionally and personally without reservation when approving sensitive operations."

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich wrote on the X platform that "the Supreme Court justices will not direct the war and will not decide its commanders."

Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi stated that the Supreme Court justice lacked legal authority to intervene in Bar's dismissal, stating, "This is the government's sole authority. Your decision is baseless. The story is over. Sovereignty belongs to the people."

For its part, the Business Forum, which includes approximately 200 business leaders, announced that "if the government does not respect the court order and leads Israel into a constitutional crisis, we will call on the entire Israeli public to cease respecting government decisions, with all that that entails, and we will shut down the economy. The heads of opposition parties and organizations filed petitions to the Supreme Court against the dismissal of the Shin Bet chief this morning. Opposition parties said the decision to dismiss the Shin Bet chief "was made in light of a severe conflict of interest on the part of the prime minister, based on subjective considerations related to Shin Bet investigations in his office, and the Shin Bet's position that the political echelon bears responsibility for the October 7 disaster."

The petitions noted that the Shin Bet chief's dismissal occurred "only after the Shin Bet investigation clearly pointed to the political echelon's responsibility for the October 7 disaster. This is all the more significant given that the prime minister is preventing the formation of an official commission of inquiry, and the entire government is openly and deliberately obstructing any steps that could have investigated responsibility for the disaster."

Thousands of Israelis demonstrated near Netanyahu's home yesterday and the day before. Police suppressed the demonstrators, spraying them with sewage water and assaulting some of them, including the leader of the Democratic Party, Yair Golan, who was violently pushed to the ground by a police officer.

White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt said Thursday that US President Donald Trump "fully supports" Israel's intensified bombing campaign and renewed ground incursion into Gaza, which have killed at least 200 children since Tuesday.

"The president made it clear to Hamas that if they did not release all the hostages, there would be a heavy price to pay," Levitt told reporters. "Unfortunately, Hamas chose to play with people's lives in the media."

The United States and Israel blame Hamas for the failure to maintain the ceasefire and release the hostages. Israel has repeatedly violated the agreement signed last January and refused to move to the second stage, which would have led to the release of all Israeli prisoners, a permanent truce, and a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

Levitt added that President Trump "fully supports Israel, the IDF, and the actions they have taken in recent days."

Witnesses reported that Israeli tanks advanced into the area, firing heavily and shelling the city, which has suffered extensive destruction during the ongoing war of extermination.

Today, Friday, settlers set up a hut near citizens' tents in Ein al-Hilweh in the northern Jordan Valley.

Local sources reported that a number of settlers have erected an iron awning near residents' tents in Ain al-Hilweh, amid fears of increased settler attacks against residents in the area.

The area frequently witnesses attacks by settlers against citizens, including physical assaults, preventing them from grazing their livestock, raiding their tents at night, and spreading terror among the population.

Eyewitnesses reported that occupation forces turned back dozens of elderly people at the Qalandia and Bethlehem checkpoints as they were on their way to Al-Aqsa Mosque, claiming they did not have the required permits to enter.

They added that the occupation forces closed the gates of the Qalandia military checkpoint and prevented anyone from entering for about half an hour before reopening them. They also detained a journalist and interrogated him on the spot after obstructing the work of the press crews at the site.

The occupation forces also imposed strict restrictions on the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, checked the IDs of young men at the entrances to the Old City and the gates of the mosque, and prevented a number of them from entering.

Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested two citizens from the city of Hebron, south of the West Bank .

Local sources said that the occupation forces raided several neighborhoods in the city of Hebron (the Ezon area, the suburb, the university neighborhood, the guards, Salam Street, and the Tafouh area) and arrested citizens Abdul Rahman Haroun Al-Sharbaty and Humam Bashar Al-Jabri, after raiding their homes and other homes and ransacking their contents.

He noted that only 100,000 of the two million displaced people in northwestern Syria have returned to their cities, largely due to "the lack of basic services, security risks, and the loss of legal documents."

The UN coordinator stated that "Syria stands at a critical juncture, with the start of a new era on December 8th, bringing with it hope for peace and stability. However, 14 years of conflict have left 16.5 million people in need of humanitarian assistance."

He added, "This is what made Syria one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world."

On the other hand, the UN coordinator stated that access to areas such as the Idlib countryside, Latakia, and eastern Aleppo has become easier, and that the number of aid convoys arriving from Turkey has reached 678 since the beginning of this year.

Abdul-Mawla added that funding for the 2024 Humanitarian Response Plan was extremely insufficient, with only about 35 percent of the $4.1 billion requested for the period from January to March of this year having been secured.

He pointed out that landmines and other explosive remnants pose a significant threat to the population in Syria, and that more than 600 people have lost their lives as a result of these explosives since last December, with nearly a third of these victims being children.

On December 8, 2024, Syrian factions took control of the country, ending 61 years of Baath Party rule and 53 years of Assad family rule.
