Britain, Germany and France call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

Britain, Germany, and France called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, demanding that Israel fully respect international law and allow the flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip.

This came in a joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of the three countries on Friday, in which they affirmed that "the resumption of Israeli attacks on Gaza is a tragic step backward for the people of Gaza, the prisoners and their families, and the entire region."

"We are horrified by the civilian casualties and call for an immediate return to the ceasefire," the statement added.

He pointed out that a return to fighting would only lead to the deaths of more Palestinian civilians and Israeli prisoners, emphasizing that further bloodshed is in no one's interest.

He stressed that Israel must fully respect international law and allow the immediate flow of aid.

He called on Israel to resume the delivery of humanitarian aid, including water and electricity, and to ensure access to medical care and temporary medical evacuation in accordance with international humanitarian law.

Since resuming its genocide in Gaza at dawn on Tuesday and continuing until Saturday, Israel has killed 634 Palestinians and injured 1,172 others, most of them women and children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

This escalation, which Tel Aviv said was taking place in full coordination with Washington, represents the most significant violation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, the second phase of which Israel refrained from implementing after the first phase expired in early March.

Despite Hamas's commitment to all terms of the agreement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to proceed with the second phase, yielding to pressure from extremists within his government.
