A citizen was killed and another was injured on Saturday evening in an Israeli airstrike on Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

According to local sources, Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Abu Hassanein family near the entrance to University Street in Rafah, killing one citizen and wounding another. Another home was also targeted in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying forces have launched an aggression against the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 49,747 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 113,213 others. This is a preliminary toll, with a number of victims still under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue teams.
