An Israeli government committee approves a series of steps after Operation Freedom Tunnel

An official Israeli committee announced, on Wednesday, a series of decisions and steps in the case of the escape of 6 Palestinian prisoners from Gilboa prison last September 2021, which was known as Operation Freedom Tunnel.

The most prominent decisions focused on isolating the commander of the northern region in the so-called Israeli Prison Service, "Arik Yaakov", while warnings were issued to the responsibility of the Prison Service, Katy Perry, and another group of officers about their responsibilities.

Other resolutions focused on security issues related to protection and security gaps in dealing with Palestinian prisoners.

The decisions affected Gilboa prison, and other prisons, to raise the level of security in them to prevent a recurrence of what happened.

The White House is under pressure not to adopt a definition of anti-Semitism that includes criticism of Israel

"The Biden administration is close to completing a national anti-Semitic strategy, but the question of how it defines anti-Semitism remains fluid," Jewish Insider revealed.

According to the site: "As the White House prepares to launch a national strategy to combat anti-Semitism in the coming weeks, the question of how the document defines anti-Semitism has become a major point of contention."

It is noteworthy that US President Joe Biden said, in remarks he delivered at a reception on the “American Jewish Heritage Month,” that the strategy will include more than 200 political plans and recommendations to combat anti-Semitism, while Jewish Insider stated that three sources familiar with the White House process said that “while Although the strategy is due to be released soon, the White House task force working on the project has not yet decided how to define anti-Semitism.

At issue is whether the strategy will adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism, which includes (in its definition) criticism of Israel's policy against the Palestinians, and which is already being used in multiple places in the federal government, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken wrote. In a 2021 letter to the “Zionist Movement of America,” the Biden administration “passionately embraces” the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism, including the full list of examples.

But the Biden administration now faces pressure to buck the IHRA's definition from progressive forces who argue that the IHRA's definition, which identifies some forms of anti-Zionism as anti-Semitism, leaves little room for criticism of Israel.

According to Jewish Insider, a person familiar with the process said that mainstream Jewish groups called for the IHRA definition to be included in the White House strategy, while progressive groups were urging for its exclusion from the strategy — but said they would accept inclusion if definitions were mentioned. Another alternative to anti-Semitism has been proposed by academics and activists (on the left) but it remains unclear what the final draft might include, but the White House considered excluding the IHRA entirely.

It was revealed that the White House had been consulting with a range of mainstream and progressive Jewish groups about how they would react to the inclusion or exclusion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition. They also said that Jewish groups had assured the White House that they would accept a delay in issuing the strategy, if necessary, to work on such issues.

The White House had aimed for it to be published before the end of the month — before the departure of Susan Rice, director of the Council for Domestic Policy, who leads antisemitism strategy.” Another source familiar with the process said one possibility on the table is for the document to refer to the IHRA definition. (IHRA) without being officially endorsed or endorsed".

Biden said Tuesday at a White House reception that the upcoming Antisemitism Strategy is "the most ambitious and comprehensive effort in our history to combat anti-Semitism in America," and noted that "the White House's efforts to prepare the report included conversations with more than 1,000 members of the American Jewish community." From diverse backgrounds and from all denominations, he highlighted the four pillars of the strategy: increasing awareness and understanding of anti-Semitism and America's Jewish heritage; keeping Jewish communities safe; de-normalizing anti-Semitism and building coalitions to fight hate.

In his speech Tuesday, Biden said, "As we work together to implement this report, we are sending a clear and powerful message. In America, evil will not prevail. Hate will not prevail. The poison and violence of anti-Semitism will not be the narrative of our era."

On April 24, more than 100 Israeli and international civil society organizations asked the United Nations to reject the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's (IHRA) controversial definition of anti-Semitism because it would be "misused" to shield Israel from legitimate criticism.

The groups wrote to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, saying he should resist pressure from Israel to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) a "working definition of anti-Semitism" that has been accepted by the US State Department and many European governments including Britain. Germany and EU bodies after strong pressure from pro-Israel groups and others.

The adoption of the definition by governments and institutions is often framed as an essential step in efforts to combat anti-Semitism. However, in practice, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition is often used to incorrectly characterize criticism of Israel as anti-Semitic, and thus to suppress non-violent protest, activism, and discourse critical of Israel and/or Zionism, including in the United States. and Europe.

Among the signatories to the petition sent to Antonio Guterres were B'Tselem, Israel's largest human rights group, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the American Civil Liberties Union, and Israeli and Palestinian civil society organizations.

Those who signed the letter said they were concerned that if Guterres formally adopted the IHRA definition, it would be used to curb criticism of Israeli policies by UN bodies including the Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Territories.

The letter noted that the application of the definition has been widely criticized, including by Ken Stern, as an anti-Semitism expert at the American Jewish Committee, who led its drafting two decades ago. Earlier this year, Stern successfully urged the American Bar Association not to adopt the definition because it was used "as a blunt device to label anyone an anti-Semite."

Sarkozy was sentenced to 3 years in prison in a corruption case

On Wednesday, an appeals court in Paris sentenced former French head of state Nicolas Sarkozy to three years in prison, one of which is suspended, during which he is placed under surveillance with an electronic bracelet, after he was convicted of corruption and influence-peddling, in an unprecedented step for a former French president.

The Paris Court of Appeal upheld the judgment of the Court of First Instance on March 1, 2021 against the former right-wing president, who heard the decision sitting on the defendants' bench.

Then his lawyer, Jacqueline Lavon, announced that the former president would appeal the decision to the Court of Cassation. "Nicolas Sarkozy is innocent of the charges against him," she said. "We will continue the legal path to the end," she added, speaking of an "amazing" decision.

The former president left the courtroom without making any statement.

Nicolas Sarkozy, 68, became the first former president to be sentenced to a suspended sentence, after his predecessor, Jacques Chirac, was sentenced to a two-year suspended prison term in 2011 in a fictitious work case in Paris.

Two similar rulings were issued against Tiare Herzog (67 years), his historical lawyer, and former Chief Justice Gilbert Azibir, who were convicted of a "corruption deal" with Nicolas Sarkozy in 2014 and were sentenced to the same penalty.

The Court of Appeal also issued two rulings depriving Sarkozy of his civil rights for three years, making him ineligible for any elections, and preventing Herzog from practicing his work for three years.

On December 13, the Public Prosecution Office requested that the three defendants be imprisoned for a suspended term of three years. The defendants have always denied any corruption.

Sarkozy, who held the position of president in his country from (2007-2012), objected "with the greatest severity" to these accusations during the appeal trial, assuring the court that he "did not corrupt anyone."

This decision was expected when Nicolas Sarkozy will be retried in the Court of Appeal in the fall in the case of illegal financing of his presidential campaign in 2012. He is threatened with a third resounding trial, as the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office requested Thursday that he be referred to the Criminal Court in the case of suspected Libyan financing of his campaign. The UAE receives a citizen from Jordan who has been sentenced to 15 years in prison

The UAE announced on Wednesday that it had received from Jordan an Emirati citizen with Turkish citizenship, who was sentenced in absentia ten years ago to 15 years in prison on charges of establishing an organization affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Emirates News Agency, WAM, said that the UAE had handed over from the Jordanian authorities “the terrorist Khalaf Abd al-Rahman Hamid al-Rumaithi,” who was among 69 people linked to the Muslim Brotherhood who were sentenced by the Federal Supreme Court in the Emirates in July 2013 to imprisonment between 7 and 15 years on charges of establishing an organization. Secret aims to overthrow the regime.

At the time, human rights organizations, including Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and the Gulf Center for Human Rights, considered their conviction "unfair", noting that they had only exercised their right to freely express themselves.

On May 7, Al-Rumaithi (58 years old) was stopped at Amman airport while trying to enter Jordan from Turkey, in exile since his conviction, using his Turkish passport, according to an arrest warrant issued by the Jordanian police at the request of the UAE. He was later released on bail and allowed to enter Jordan, according to his lawyers, Human Rights Watch.

The next day, four plainclothes police officers arrested Al-Rumaithi while he was sitting with a friend in an Amman café. The Jordanian police later raided his hotel room and confiscated his bags, clothes and electronic devices, according to his lawyer.

On May 9, during a session attended by lawyers with Al-Rumaithi, a Jordanian court canceled his bail, ordered his transfer to prison, and presented a copy of the extradition request to the UAE. His lawyers say that since then they have not seen him or contacted him.

In 2013, the UAE prosecuted 94 people who belong to or support the banned “Society for Reform and Social Guidance,” which is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood movement, which is classified as “terrorist” in the UAE, in a case known as the “UAE 94.” At the end of the trial, 69 defendants, including Al-Rumaithi, were convicted of "belonging to an illegal secret organization and plotting against the country's ruling system," while acquitting 25 other defendants in the same case, including 13 women.

And according to what was reported on the Emirates News Agency on Wednesday, “Al-Rumaithi will be re-tried again” in accordance with the provisions of UAE law.

The agency stated that the procedures for Al-Rumaithi's extradition took place in accordance with "the agreements concluded on legal and judicial cooperation of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers concerned with the prosecution of criminals fleeing criminal justice in Arab countries."

On the other hand, Human Rights Watch says that the Jordanian constitution prohibits the extradition of "political refugees" on the basis of "their political principles or their defense of freedom."

The Arab summit in Saudi Arabia returns Assad to the diplomatic front

It is likely that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will participate Friday in the Arab summit to be held in Jeddah, following diplomatic efforts that led to the return of Damascus to its Arab surroundings after isolation that lasted for more than 11 years against the background of the devastating conflict in this country.

Al-Assad's possible participation is a major step towards ending his Arab isolation, more than a decade after Damascus was suspended after its suppression of protests that turned into a bloody conflict that claimed the lives of more than half a million people.

Experts said that his invitation to participate in the Jeddah summit also shows the influence of Saudi Arabia, which is currently promoting itself as a peacemaker in the region, after it overcame the objections of a number of countries, including Qatar, to return Syria to the Arab League during talks in Cairo earlier this month.

In addition to the normalization of relations with the Assad regime, two major crises are expected to top the agenda of the summit: the month-long conflict in Sudan between the army commander, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, and the conflict in Yemen that has been going on for more than 8 years. .

The summit will be held in Jeddah, where representatives of the two Sudanese parties have been negotiating for about ten days, in talks sponsored by US and Saudi officials.

In Yemen, Saudi Arabia is pushing for a peace agreement with the Houthi rebels, eight years after it led a military coalition that was unable to defeat them on the battlefield.

The shuttle Saudi diplomatic efforts in the two files did not lead to a major breakthrough, but Saudi analysts and opinion writers are optimistic.

"The Jeddah summit is one of the most important summits for a long time, because it will rebuild the Arab region in a way that relies on interests and turns challenges into opportunities," Saudi analyst Suleiman al-Aqili told AFP.

He added, "If the summit is able to reintegrate Syria into the Arab system and take a strong stance on the conflict in Sudan and Yemen, it will be successful."

These recent diplomatic shifts have accelerated thanks to a surprising Chinese-brokered agreement to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran announced on March 10.

Less than two weeks later, Saudi Arabia announced that it had begun talks about resuming consular services with Syria, a close ally of Iran, before announcing the decision to reopen its missions in this country, in a move that witnessed the exchange of foreign ministers of the two countries for the first time in more than a decade.

However, the possible presence of Assad in Jeddah on Friday does not guarantee progress in resolving the brutal war in Syria.

Nor is it clear if the Arab League will succeed in its efforts on urgent issues such as the fate of Syrian refugees and the Captagon trade, which Damascus is accused of supporting.

"It is important to remember that Assad's return to the Arab League is a symbolic measure to begin the process of ending his regional isolation," said Anna Jacobs, senior Gulf analyst at the International Crisis Group.

And she continued, "In many ways, it is the beginning of political normalization, but it will be important to monitor if it will be accompanied by economic normalization, especially from the Gulf Arab countries."

Haid Hamdan, 44, a geography teacher in the capital, Damascus, said, "My family and I are interested in political news for the first time in years, and we follow the news of the summit first."

And he considered that his country's return to the Arab League represents "the beginning of a return to the world order," expecting it to result in "the reopening of embassies and companies and the return of movement and life to the country."

But others expressed less enthusiastic expectations.

"We are optimistic, but we know that the Arab summit will not be a magic wand to solve the Syrian problems," said Sawsan, a 29-year-old employee at a car sales company.

"It may be the beginning, but the road towards détente will be long and will not be easy," she added.

The same can be said about the situation in Sudan and Yemen.

Last week, the two parties to the conflict in Sudan reached a "humanitarian" agreement to pass humanitarian aid and ensure the exit of civilians from conflict areas, but they were unable to reach a truce in negotiations, which a US official described as "very difficult."

Regarding Yemen, the Saudi ambassador said in an interview with AFP that the parties to the conflict in Yemen are "serious" about ending the devastating war, but it is difficult to predict when direct talks will take place with the Houthi rebels.

Torbjorn Soltvedt of consultancy Versk Maplecroft said there was little doubt about Saudi Arabia's diplomatic approach to the summit and its aftermath.

"There are clear signs that Saudi Arabia is moving away from its previously adventurous foreign policy and is seeking to reinvent itself as a major diplomatic mediator in the region," Soltvedt said.

But he added that "the verdict is still out" on whether this mission will succeed.

The occupation turns Jerusalem into a military barracks

Today, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation authorities turned the occupied city of Jerusalem and its old town into a military barracks, under the pretext of securing the provocative "flag march", which settlement associations intend to organize tomorrow, Thursday.

The occupation authorities sent more than 3,000 policemen to occupied Jerusalem, and set up military checkpoints on the main roads, while announcing that they would close major axes and push more policemen into the city, on the eve of the so-called "media march", which will pass through the old neighborhoods of Jerusalem to land in Al-Buraq Square.

Ministers and Knesset members from the government coalition, led by the extremist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, are participating in the provocative march.

The so-called "Temple" organizations and settlement groups called for the largest storming of Al-Aqsa on Thursday morning, and sought to recruit more than 5,000 settlers in the process of storming the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which precedes the provocative march of flags.

The occupation government insists on directing the settlement's so-called "flag march" according to its plan, by passing through Damascus Gate and the Old City, which confirms its intention to escalate.

Development in Gaza: 459 families became homeless after the Israeli aggression

The Ministry of Social Development in the Gaza Strip said, on Wednesday, that the number of families that have become homeless as a result of the recent Israeli aggression has reached (459) families, in which more than (2,516) people live, including (1,180) children and (688) women, in addition to (97) of the elderly and (3) persons with disabilities.

During a press conference held today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the government media office, the ministry confirmed that the children in this aggression were a direct target of the occupation, in addition to terrifying them with the sound of planes, bombs and explosions, which left deep psychological effects on children, resulting in a number of them losing their lives due to fear.

She noted that the occupation army practiced the most heinous forms of extortion and sadism towards safe families in general, by bombing homes without prior warning, knowing the presence of its residents, which created a state of panic, fear and terror among children, women, the elderly and people with disabilities.

The Ministry stated that it worked from the first moment of the aggression by standing by the families whose homes were destroyed by the occupation, noting that it was able to reach every family that lost its home, and provided them with initial relief through aid that varied between cash and in-kind, which amounted to about half a million dollars.

She explained that this aggression increased the suffering of families in the Gaza Strip, who are already living in difficult living conditions under a continuous blockade for more than 16 years, with a poverty rate that reached 60%, and more than 64% of the population of the Gaza Strip suffers from food insecurity and an unemployment rate that exceeds about 44%.

The ministry indicated that economic life stopped during the days of the aggression. This deprived tens of thousands of families who depend on daily wages from their source of income, making them unable to provide for their families' basic needs.

She expressed her astonishment at the silence of the international and human rights institutions, the Secretary-General of the United Nations and his affiliated institutions, regarding the occupation’s crimes against children in the Gaza Strip, calling for the need to work towards protecting children from the continuous aggression of the occupation in accordance with international laws and relevant international agreements.

It called on all international, regional, Arab and Islamic institutions to work to support the affected and poor families in the Gaza Strip, calling on the European Union, the World Bank and the National Authority to regularly disburse cash aid to poor families.

The ministry renewed its call to the World Food Program to reverse its decision to deprive poor families of foodstuffs, to be implemented on the first of June of this year, according to what the program announced.

Ukraine announces the recovery of 20 square kilometers from the Russians in the vicinity of Bakhmut

Ukraine confirmed on Tuesday evening that it had recovered 20 square kilometers from the Russian forces in the vicinity of Bakhmut, where battles have been taking place for months and where Moscow is facing difficulties.

And Kiev, which repelled at night a barrage of Russian missiles, received support from London in terms of its endeavor to obtain the F-16 fighters that it has been demanding for months to enhance its capabilities to repel Russia.

The British government presidency indicated on Tuesday that London intends to build an "international coalition" to help Ukraine obtain F-16 fighter jets, following a meeting between Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte.

A statement from the British government's presidency indicated that the two men agreed, at the meeting held on the occasion of a summit of the Council of Europe in Iceland, to "work together to build an international coalition to provide Ukraine with air combat capabilities (...) starting with training and ending with the delivery of F-16 fighters."

This comes in the midst of the battles taking place in Bakhmut, where the clashes have been concentrated for weeks, and where the Ukrainian army was able to regain lands in the north and south of the city, and to break the semi-tight seal on the city, of which the Russians control more than 90 percent.

"In recent days, our forces have liberated about 20 square kilometers north and south of the outskirts of Bakhmut," Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Gana Malyar said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky played down the expectations, stressing that it was not the expected large-scale counterattack that Kiev had been preparing for months and that its army needed "more time" to accomplish it.

Malyar stated that Russian forces continue to advance inside the city itself, besieging the last pockets of Ukrainian resistance in the west, "and completely destroying the city with artillery bombardment."

And the head of the Russian Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced in an audio recording that, "Today, Wagner units advanced 200 meters and now occupy 113,000 square meters. The enemy controls only 1.46 km in Bakhmut."

And on the night of Tuesday-Wednesday, Ukraine confirmed that it had repelled a barrage of Russian missiles and shot down six Russian hypersonic missiles of the Kinjal model, which Russia claims are impossible to intercept, and 12 missiles, including Kalibr, S-400 anti-aircraft and ballistic Iskander, as well as Iranian-made drones.

On the other hand, Moscow confirmed that the missiles "hit all its targets", including points of "deployment of the Ukrainian armed forces" and stores of ammunition and Western weapons.

AFP journalists in Kiev watched as Ukrainian air defenses were launched, lighting up the sky to destroy Russian missiles targeting the capital.

The Russian military confirmed that it also destroyed the US Patriot system in Kiev and intercepted seven long-range British Storm Shadow missiles, which London announced its delivery last week.

According to Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko, three people were injured in the attack, which took place hours before the arrival of Chinese envoy Li Hui to Ukraine for a two-day visit.

Li Hui, the special representative for Eurasian affairs in charge of discussing a settlement to the conflict in Ukraine, and the former Chinese ambassador to Moscow will discuss a "political settlement" of the war in Ukraine. He will also visit Poland, France, Germany and Russia.

China, Russia's close ally, has not publicly condemned Russia's military intervention in Ukraine, unlike most of the world's major powers.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Tuesday that a peace mission led by six African leaders would go "as soon as possible" to Ukraine and Russia, adding that Kiev and Moscow had "agreed to receive it".

This new Russian night attack also comes the day after Zelensky returned to Kiev after a European tour, during which he visited Italy, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.

"I am returning to my country with (...) new powerful weapons for the front," Zelensky said in a video message. The Ukrainian President's tour lasted one day in the United Kingdom, where he received pledges to supply his country with air defense missiles.

On the diplomatic front, the 46 member states of the Council of Europe meet Tuesday in Iceland to confirm unity in the face of Moscow.

This meeting, only the fourth of the 75-year-old European organization, aims to increase ways of holding Russia criminally responsible for the devastation and crimes caused by its invasion of Ukraine.

On Tuesday, the Council of Europe launched a "damage record" resulting from the Russian invasion of Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron announced at the opening of the summit.

Macron has proposed building hundreds of mental health centers in Ukraine to treat trauma from the war.

Another important issue is that the extension of the agreement on Ukrainian grain exports was still uncertain Tuesday, while the Kremlin said Tuesday that "many questions" still need to be addressed.

Ever since then, the Palestinian people have been on an arduous journey of pursuing their legitimate rights and interests. For more than half a century, the tragedy of Palestine-Israel conflict keeps repeating itself, causing longstanding antagonism between the Arab and Jewish peoples, plunging the region into flames of war time and again, and seriously jeopardizing world peace and stability. Until this day, the legitimate demand of the Palestinian people for an independent state is still not yet met, calling international fairness and justice into question. The Palestinian question is at the heart of the Middle East issue and bears on enduring peace, stability and security in the Middle East region. To deescalate the Palestine-Israel conflict and resolve the Palestinian question, the fundamental way out lies in resuming the peace talks, enforcing the two-state solution, and establishing an independent Palestinian state. The recent escalation of the Palestine-Israel conflict once again highlights the urgency of resolving the Palestinian question. The international community must put it high on the international agenda, stay committed to the two-state solution, push for early resumption of the Palestine-Israel peace talks, and address the legitimate and reasonable aspirations of the Palestinian people, so that they can fulfil their dream of establishing an independent Palestinian state at an early date.

China upholds fairness and justice on the Palestinian question. It has all along firmly supported the Palestinian people’s just cause of restoring their legitimate national rights, and supported the establishment of an independent State of Palestine based on the 1967 border and with east Jerusalem as its capital. For ten consecutive years, Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent congratulatory messages to the special commemorative meeting in observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. More than once he put forward China’s proposals for resolving the Palestinian question, stressing the need to resolutely advance a political settlement based on the two-state solution and intensify international efforts for peace. Jenin horse neighs in Jerusalem, Gaza and Galilee

Issa Qaraqe

Issa Qaraqe

Opinion Writer

At the eastern entrance to the Jenin camp, an iron horse stands with its head raised and directed towards the city of Haifa, from which thousands of refugees descend from the camp’s residents, who were expelled from their villages in the Nakba 1948 by Zionist gangs and the massacres and crimes committed against our Palestinian people.

The horse stands in that place where a massacre was committed in April 2002 against the camp's residents, in which 58 martyrs died and entire neighborhoods were wiped off the face of the earth. Hundreds were arrested and wounded, and families were displaced by the Israeli machine of oppression.

The horse was made by the German artist, Thomas Kepler, to be a witness to the crime against the camp and its inhabitants, where the Nakba is repeated and expanding and getting more bloody and horrible. The horse, standing tall and proud, was built from the many bullets that were collected from the streets and alleys of the camp, and from the remains of the destroyed houses that were demolished over the heads of their residents.

Jenin's horse is a witness to the heroism and courage of the camp, which refused to submit and surrender to the occupation army and its barbaric invasion of killing, destruction and brutality.

Jenin's horse breathes, shakes the dust, stands on its feet, and the graves of martyrs and resistance fighters surround it. Still in the arena, it neighs with the voice of the Jenin Battalion, the voice of the refugees returning from their blood to their homeland free and safe. New generations ride the horse and resist, a generation that wakes up from the chambers of death and interrogation, waking up waking up.

A fetus horse neighs 75 years after the Nakba in our minds to get out of the wall, silence and astonishment. The name no longer suits us when they called us refugees. We became fighters. UN Resolution No. 194 did not open the door to our bleeding dreams. It did not give us the key to return to Haifa, Acre and Nazareth. The horse rejects everything. These noisy celebrations that bear nothing but false wooden keys, our name as refugees no longer rejoices in ceremonies and formalities and engraving our homes on decorations.

The knights disembarked from the horse's belly, armed and faithful. They closed the borders of exile and departure. Here we remain. We shape our destiny ourselves, carry our destinies like our homes, and continue our epic steadfastness project with our blood and our history that extends in our consciousness, and our awareness that extends into our history. We complete the life of the novel and build the house.

The horse of Jenin neighs in Jerusalem, Gaza, and Galilee. The West Bank and the five voices twitch. It is the legitimacy of worship, belonging, and existence on this earth. Protecting our human, cultural, and civilizational content from emptying, obliteration, and annihilation. In Jenin, all names fall from the coffins to build barricades, ascend on the horse's back, and ignite lightning in refugee darkness.

The horse is moving, life is spreading on the ground that is covered with blood and martyrs. There is no white flag after today. The era of defeats, flight and uncertainty has ended. Here are the survivors of the Nakba, their children, grandchildren, ages, trees and dreams. Here are the ghosts of the executed at the borders or in the camps and cells. A people who complete their first and second lives. He depicts a free life between chains and chains, barrier and barrier, and between settlement and settlement. Zakariya al-Zubaidi emerges from the cracks in the wall, demolishes the prison and succeeds in the miracle test. Here is Mahmoud Tawalbeh and Abu Jandal's gun, here is Jenin's horse.

A fetus's horse neighs in Jerusalem, Gaza, and the Galilee. International platforms, resolutions, and meetings did not stop the policy of ethnic cleansing and massacres against our Palestinian people. They did not stop the demolition of a house, the plundering of land, or the killing of a child chasing his dreams stuck over the fence. Secrecy and cold refrigerators, which determine self-determination, half of our people are in prisons, i.e. international legitimacy with dual languages, standards and masks, infiltrate our victims to reshape the conflict, engineer the occupation and extinguish the sun of dreamers.

A fetus horse gathers its pieces again, rises from under the rubble and rubble and neighs in both worlds. Why did we sleep fully? Death is in two halves. Heading forward, we went out and came back walking with our travels and loads to our land with our blood, our stones, our memory and what the voice of the will says in terms of languages and words, the horse neighs and then neighs and the darkness dissipates.

The occupiers and their army are chasing the Jenin horse, killing, storming and building walls and towers between time and space, missiles and snipers, the occupation of physical, air, visual, natural and beauty space, the horse runs, jumps, strikes and neighs and summons the past, present and future, it does not stumble and death does not bridle it too much, Hazem Raad comes out of the horse's belly and excites Terror in the heart of Tel Aviv, the captive Zakariya Zubeidi breaks through the wall and performs the dawn prayer in Nazareth, Uday al-Tamimi never falls in Jerusalem, Ibrahim al-Nabulsi and the lions' den, the moons of Jericho and Mount Gerizim.

A fetus's horse neighs while the riders are still in the squares and in prisons. The horse does not carry a microphone and does not ascend a pulpit. The horse is in the streets, alleys and alleys. It is the guardian of the free and proud life of those who build with their lives a state, a school and a garden, and release into our space the cooing of pigeons.

An embryonic horse neighs in Jerusalem, the capital, the mosque rings the church bells, and the church announces the voice of the monk, the sheikh, and the stationed: We are returning.

75 years since the Nakba

Hamada Pharaohs

Hamada Pharaohs

75 years have passed since the Nakba of the Palestinian Arab people, since 1948, which led to the establishment of the Israeli colony on part and then the occupation of the entire map of Palestine, the displacement of half of the Palestinians outside their homeland, the dissipation of their national identity, and the transfer of their rights recognized by the United Nations with the two resolutions: 1- The Partition Resolution 181, 2- Resolution of the Right of Return of Refugees 194, converting it into Resolution 302 regarding the formation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees. Thus, the colony and its European and American colonial allies and masters were able to transform the issue of the Palestinian people from a political issue to a humanitarian one, people who are oppressors, boycotters, They beg for a living in refugee camps and homelessness.

Thus, the Zionist movement succeeded in occupying Palestine, and extracting the legitimacy of its existence and its colonial project on the land of Palestine, but it failed to expel all the Palestinian people from their homeland, which has no homeland other than it, and thus Zionism and its colony recorded a strategic failure in its endeavor, goal and program to end the people of Palestine from their land. As half of it remained steadfast, clinging to its cities and villages, despite all manifestations of harassment, discrimination, persecution, killing and arrest, as more than seven million Palestinian Arabs remained steadfast to this day on the entire map of Palestine, and they are a people, and not a community, a minority, its oppressors, begging for life, but rather a people who snatch their right In life, through struggle, stubbornness, and perseverance, they disturb the colony, because they will be the instrument of its defeat, defeat, and the failure of its entire project.

The Israeli expansionist colonial project succeeded in occupying the entire map of Palestine, but it failed to expel all the Palestinian people from their homeland, and this is the visible abstraction that exists on the ground, in the field, and within the pores of the land of Palestine. Palestinian National Democratic Party.

What about the future?? This is the fundamental question whose answers must be sought from the Palestinians, because the success of the colony did not depend only on the initiatives of the Zionist movement, the support of the colonial countries for it, and the complicity of regional parties with it, but rather is due to the imbalance in the Palestinian performance, whether by the traditional Palestinian leadership, Before 1948 and its extensions and what was left of it after 1948, and the last record of the Palestinian leaderships in terms of fragmentation, fragmentation, and partisan and personal selfishness, offering their services to their colonial enemy free of charge, through the continuation of the division, the most prominent title that engulfs the Palestinian political forces, whether in Areas 67 between the Fatah and Hamas authorities, between Ramallah and Gaza, between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and in areas 48 between the two parliamentary lists: 1- The left-wing nationalist Joint List, 2- The Islamic United List.

It is not a coincidence, it is not innocent, and it is not intelligence, who works to preserve the survival of the division, in the 48 areas, and in the 67 areas, it is an organized, malicious intelligence subterranean programming fed by the colony’s devices and tools, so that the Palestinian division remains a useful title for the benefit of the colony, so is there any recovery, from vigilance , Palestinian??.

March flags and legitimacy of the fait accompli

Attorney Ziad Abu Ziad

Attorney Ziad Abu Ziad

Opinion Writer

The march of flags carried out by the Israelis in occupied Arab Jerusalem coincides with the day of celebration of the occupation of Jerusalem and its unilateral annexation to Israel, the day they called Jerusalem Day. What is new this year is that the flags march that will take place in Jerusalem tomorrow, if it takes place as planned without disturbance, will constitute the first Palestinian and Arab legitimization of this march de facto.

And so that no one gets angry with what I say, I would like to clarify the following: This march began years ago, and its path was from the Hebron Gate, or what is known as the Jaffa Gate, to the Western / Wailing Wall. Then its path changed to the Damascus Gate, and a change took place in it, so that the flags dance was introduced to it in the Damascus Gate Square, which in recent years has turned into a symbol of Palestinian resistance due to the occurrence of many stabbings against it by some young people, and because it has become a gathering place for Palestinian youth on national and religious occasions. There is no doubt that diverting the path of the flag march to Damascus Gate Square and provocative dancing in it with Israeli flags is nothing more than an attempt to imprint the place with the Jewish character and distort the Palestinian national image that has taken root in the minds of the Palestinian symbolism of the place.

The flag march is not just a festive march, but is characterized by demagoguery, provocative chants, songs and dances, anti-Arab calls and slogans such as saying "Death to the Arabs" and attacks on Arab shops and stores in the street and the market in which they march, bearing in mind that the Israeli police, instead of controlling the mob and curbing their attacks on Arabs, By forcing the Arabs to close their shops under the pretext of protecting them!

In the past, entering the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque was not on the agenda of this march. When this march was disrupted two years ago and rockets were fired at the Jerusalem area, this was a rejection of the march's passage through Damascus Gate and the Arab neighborhoods and the attack on Arabs.
What is new this year is that some extreme right-wing voices started talking about a request to enter the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In other words, the rejection and protest shifted from being against entering the Damascus Gate and the Arab neighborhoods to protesting against entering Al-Aqsa squares. That is, as if the mouthpiece was saying: There is no harm if you entered through the Damascus Gate and walked through the market and the Arab neighborhoods and carried out attacks and provocations against the Arabs who pass in front of their shops and homes, but do not enter the squares of Al-Aqsa!

And if one allows one’s imagination to travel towards the coming years, then one can imagine extremist Jewish voices calling for the march of flags to enter the mosque, and then there may be those who will threaten to fire missiles if they enter the mosque, and turn a blind eye to entering the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, as is happening now. To consider entering through the column gate and walking through the Arab neighborhoods, provided that they do not enter the courtyards of the mosque. It is not surprising if one of them came to us a few days later and boasted of victory because he prevented the march from entering Al-Aqsa squares.

Is this not the cauterization of awareness and the normalization of the continuation of the violation of sacred sanctities?

The responsibility of the Arab regimes for the plight of the people

Ibrahim Abrash

Ibrahim Abrash

Opinion Writer

75 years after the farce of the 1948 war, in which 7 Arab armies were defeated by Zionist gangs and led to the catastrophe of the Palestinian people by displacing the majority of them from their land, many questions still impose themselves about: the truth and nature of the relationship between the emergence of the Palestinian cause after the Balfour Declaration and the emerging Arab national movement at that time led by Sharif Hussein and his son Faisal, who are allied with Britain, and how can seven Arab armies be defeated by Zionist militias or gangs? Were the Arab regimes really serious about the war? If the Arab armies did not intervene and the Palestinians were left in a state of conflict with the Jews, would the Nakba have taken place and the majority of the Palestinian people had been displaced and the State of Israel established? How did this Nakba not end the Palestinian cause and did not put an end to the conflict while the Palestinians are still steadfast and defending their land?

Before addressing the course of the Nakba, we will discuss the historically ambiguous relationship between the Arab leaders, even before independence, with the Palestinian cause. In a letter sent by Sharif Hussein bin Ali (the Sheriff of Mecca) in 1918 after his talks with Henry McMahon, representative of Great Britain, he agreed to the British opinion that Palestine was not included in Britain’s promise to him to establish an Arab state, and this was later confirmed in the document or agreement between Prince Faisal bin Sharif Hussein With the Zionist leader Weizmann on the sidelines of the Paris Peace Conference 1919, where the first agreed that some Arab regions, including Palestine, do not fall within the Arab state promised to the Arabs. The British and the Zionist movement used these two documents to support their efforts to confirm the Balfour Declaration in the League of Nations.

The indolence and complicity of the Arab leaders did not stop at this point, as they continued their complicity even after Britain had failed the Arabs by signing the Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916, in which the British and the French agreed to share the Arab region between them, an agreement that was later revealed by Tsarist Russia, during the great strike that It lasted for six months and the comprehensive revolution that followed it 1936-1939, rejecting the immigration of the Jews and the continuation of their settlement projects with the support of the British Mandate Army, which led to paralysis in the British military and civil facilities and the fall of losses among the Jews and the British army, for fear of the repercussions of this revolution on the Arab masses and that they would rise up In defense of Palestine, especially since many Arab volunteers began flocking to Palestine under the leadership of the Iraqi Fawzi Al-Qawuqji. To avoid that, Britain asked the ruling Arab leaders in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Transjordan and Yemen to intervene with the Palestinian leaders to stop the revolution and strike. Unfortunately, instead of standing by the revolution, they sent a message. A reassurance to the Palestinians, asking them: "To find peace in order to stop bloodshed, relying on the good intentions of our friend the British government, and its declared desire to achieve justice, and trust that we will continue to seek your assistance." The result of this intervention, which the traditional Palestinian right-wing leaders dealt with, was that the revolution was aborted, which enabled the Jews to expand their immigration and settlement projects, and then there was the Second World War, which the Zionists ably employed in their favor.

With the continuation of the confrontations between the Palestinians and the Zionist gangs supported militarily and politically by Britain, Resolution 181 was passed by the General Assembly on November 15, 1947, stipulating the division of Palestine between Jews and Arabs, 55% for Jews and 44% for Arabs, and Jerusalem would be placed under international trusteeship, and on May 15, 1948 Britain declared On the termination of its mandate over Palestine, and between the partition decision and the declaration of the end of the British mandate and the Jews’ declaration of the independence of their state and the beginning of the Arab-Israeli war, the plot threads were woven against Palestine in which the Arab leaders participated, as they did previously.

The partition resolution issued by the United Nations was non-binding because it was issued by the General Assembly, so how will the State of Israel be established? At that time, the population of Palestine was 2,065,000 people, of whom 1,415,000 were Arabs and 650,000 were Jews, or 31.5% of the total population. He possesses lands that do not exceed 19% of the lands of Mandatory Palestine, and the Palestinians continue their fight in defense of their land, just as the Arab volunteers in the Salvation Army and others constitute a threat and danger to the Jews, the British, and the Arab leaders themselves?

It was necessary to wage a major war that would lead to geographic and demographic changes through which the largest number of Palestinians could be displaced and the Jews would be able to leave vast areas on which to establish their promised state, and this was confirmed by former Knesset member Yeshayahu Ben Fort when he touched on the events of that stage by saying: “There is no Jewish state without evacuation.” Arabs from Palestine and the confiscation and fencing of their lands.

The plot threads began by instigating Britain's Arab leaders to reject the partition decision and supervised the formation of Arab battalions that would fight the war under the pretext of refusing partition and preventing the establishment of the Jewish state. English officers!!

The farce did not stop at this point, but rather went beyond that by controlling the number of soldiers, the quality of their weapons, and the course of the battle. According to the official documents that were announced at the time, the total number of soldiers of the five Arab armies that fought the war was around 26,000 soldiers and increased slightly after the start of the battles, without combat experience and modest weapons and without prior coordination between them or a real will to fight for most of them, which pushed the Zionist movement into the battlefield About 100,000 fighters equipped with the latest weapons and combat experience gained through their participation in World War II on the side of the Allies.

All of the above are facts confirmed by eyewitnesses and those who participated in the war, such as Commander Abdullah Al-Tal, Aref Al-Aref, Fawzi Al-Qawuqji, and Izzat Darwaza. Gamal Abdel Nasser also touched in his memoirs about the Palestine war and the betrayals that accompanied it, where he says: (It was not reasonable that this was a war.. No. Forces mobilizing, no preparations in arms and ammunition, no plans, no explorations, no information! However, they are here in a battlefield..so it is a political war..it is war and no war; progress without victory, and retreat without defeat..it is war. political only...)

Some should not be surprised by these facts, because with reason and logic, it is inconceivable that Britain, which made the Balfour Declaration and provided the Zionist movement with all forms of political and military support, even left the Zionists its airports and ports in Palestine, while at the same time it supervises the Arab armies and controls their arming and financing... It is unreasonable for it to allow its officers to lead a war against an entity that it created and pledged until the last moment, unless it is a war whose outcome is guaranteed in favor of its protégé and protégé, the Jewish state.

Immediately when the Arab armies entered Palestine, the cities of Lod and Ramla fell into the hands of the Zionists, and the Jordanian army was responsible for defending these two important cities. The British army command and completely dispensing with Lieutenant-General Glubb (known as Glubb Pasha), and the English officers who were with him, because they are undoubtedly working to enable the Zionist forces to cross the borders of the division.” But the king, according to the hill, could not agree to such a proposal, because he He knows that Britain will not accept the idea of dispensing with Globe.

And in the midst of the war, after the Jews achieved great victories and crossed the boundaries of partition, seizing 78% of the area of Palestine, displacing the majority of the Palestinians and destroying 500 villages, the allies of the Zionist movement moved and resorted to the Security Council to issue a resolution to stop the battles and impose a truce on both sides, and the Security Council’s decision to impose the second truce came to consecrate victory. The Jew over the Arab armies The Zionist forces succeeded in expelling all the Arab military forces from Palestine, with the exception of the Jordanian army, which retained the West Bank, and Egypt, which continued its military presence in the Gaza Strip, and thus the United Nations project for partition and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state was eliminated.

Abdullah Al-Tal talks about the repercussions of the war and the state of Arab popular anger over what happened, saying: "What prompted the League of Arab States to participate in the artificial war and to hide its complicity to ask King Abdullah, after the defeat, to dispense with the English officers, headed by Klopp Pasha, or remove them from command The Jordanian Arab Army at least, considering that they are the military responsible for the defeat, of course to create a condemnation upon which they comment before their people their exposed crime, and come up with some face water, and acquit themselves before their people of participating in the crime / defeat, King Abdullah refused that, although their request could be a deed of innocence His and theirs, if it were used, and engineered as the war of defeat was engineered, with the same malice, cunning and deceit, and King Abdullah's answer, in a public session at Raghadan Palace: "I cannot change my saddle in the battle, given that his battle is not over, for the chapter remains." The last, which is separating, annexing, and annexing (the West Bank) to his Hashemite throne, and this last chapter is alone incapable of implementing it. In this case, his saddle and horses must be preserved, even if they drink from the blood of the Jordanian and Palestinian people alike.

And Abdullah Al-Tal goes on to say: "The truth that does not accept any doubt is that the soldiers and officers of the Jordanian army entered Palestine honestly to liberate it and hand it over to its people and owners. They fought the defensive battles with honor, and according to the statements of the army command, they presented (363) martyrs, including (11) officers. The rest are of different military ranks."

You did not find the state of Arab popular anger over what happened, even the coups and revolutions that took place in more than one Arab country against the regimes that were the cause of the defeat did not change much in the tragedy of the Palestinian people, and the greatest catastrophe was when the state of the Zionist entity was established, after only 19 years of its establishment, in an aggressive war It occupied the rest of Palestine - the West Bank and the Gaza Strip - which were in the custody of Jordan and Egypt, in addition to other Arab lands, until the October 1973 war. Between Egypt and Israel and Egypt's exit from the conflict equation with Israel in return for its restoration of Sinai.

We conclude from all that happened that the claims of some non-Palestinian rebels that the Palestinians sold their land and that the Arabs fought several wars and thousands fell for them in defense of Palestine and the Palestinians, is not true. The truth is that the intervention of the Arab regimes was a disaster for the Palestinian people. The setback second, then normalization finally, and all the Palestinian people until now would have been fighting the Zionists on the land of Palestine, and there would have been no immigration and diaspora.

In the bud, since more than a century has passed since the Balfour Declaration, 75 years since the Nakba, and 56 years after the setback, the Palestinian people, led by the refugees whom the enemy believed had vanished and forgotten their national cause, continues its struggle alone with its capabilities and no longer bets on an Arab military intervention or Islamic, even if it is still betting on the Arab peoples and world public opinion, which is increasingly convinced of the justice of the Palestinian cause and its right to an independent state.

School discipline “Learning is lighting a flame, not filling a pot.” Socrates

Beautiful Hassan Ghoul

Beautiful Hassan Ghoul

Opinion Writer

introduction
The loss of school discipline in schools is one of the most important problems that impede the progress of the educational process, and some researchers define it as "every behavior that prevents the teacher from teaching and prevents the students from learning". Despite the interest of schools in adopting new and modern educational methods to reduce the phenomenon of lack of discipline in schools, studies and scientific research indicate that these behaviors are still continuing and increasing day after day, which made schools and the educational system in general facing great challenges, and many questions, the most important of which are:

- What are the causes that lead to the problem of the loss of school discipline?

- What are the appropriate solutions to the problem of the loss of school discipline?
In this contemplative paper, an attempt was presented to answer the previous questions by taking advantage of the book Democracy and Education (1916) by the thinker and philosopher John Dewey, who developed an educational philosophy that calls for unity between theory and practice, and has many contributions in the field of education. With the same method that we used yesterday, we will steal from them tomorrow.”

- What are the reasons that lead to the problem of the loss of school discipline?
John Dewey mentioned the reasons that lead to the problem of losing discipline in the school by saying (p. 146) that teachers usually consider students acquiring knowledge, so the mind is separated from the bodily work members, which entails that the mind is thinking and perceiving only, the rest of the body members are an extraneous material element There is no place for it, so the close unity between the mind and the body is separated from what results in the problem of school discipline. As a result of this separation between the mind and the body, the students are exposed to a real crisis in controlling the movement of their bodies, which has not been well invested, but has become a major problem for the student and the teacher.

We see through the above that the main source of the problem of discipline in schools is the lack of interest in the movement of the body and the training of the rest of the senses among the students. It distracts the mind from the material of the lesson, and to reward the students for physical calmness and silence or stereotypical rigid movement, and for their automatic demonstration of longing and understanding, and it becomes the task of the teachers to strengthen the students who are calm and committed, whom Dewey called (with consciences) with the laws of the class, and curb their inclinations and instincts instead of constructive thinking and planning , without releasing their creativity, talents, and ideas for innovation, and physically active students, they are punished for their lack of commitment and control over the movement of their bodies.

These stereotypical methods in traditional education that separate the body from the educational process and view the body as an extraneous and distracting element of the mind that must be combated, which focus on thinking, remembering and memorizing, and on the student remaining sitting on the study bench to fill his mind with information, without any interaction between the body And thinking (the mind), which leads to more suffering for the student and effort and exhaustion for the teacher.

Dewey referred to the results of these traditional methods of education on the student and the teacher, including "the student's indifference, fatigue of the neglected body, and the lack of appropriate and productive situations in which the student can get rid of this stress and movement, which is presented as inappropriate movement, class rebellion, clowning, Or meaningless behavior. Dewey explains that "physically active children become restless and rebellious," that is, they are unable to integrate with the class and the rest of the students. Or they create chaos in the classroom, and this leads to obstruction of the course and stresses the teacher, and the teacher requires him to pass the class class effectively, and he is committed to a specific time to pass the curriculum, and it is his responsibility to control the class, and therefore any student who obstructs this control makes the teacher in a state of anxiety and tension and loss Control, so that the foundations of effective communication with the student fade away, resulting in a strong struggle between the teacher's authority and the student's need.

- What are the appropriate solutions to the problem of the loss of school discipline?
John Dewey, through his teaching and educational experience, proposed methods and methods to reduce the loss of school discipline, including the development of teaching methods commensurate with the students' environment, experiences, and experiences, and looking at the educational-learning environment as participatory practices between the teacher and the student, and creating a stimulating and encouraging educational environment for students in which they test their abilities in To deal with different situations with education and to leave an imprint in their lives. For John Dewey, education is not preparation for life, but rather life. And Dewey relied on the method of passing the school class, which is part of the educational trinity, which consists of (substance, methods, and administration). For Dewey, the method is the best way in which the material of the subject is presented to the mind and imprinted in it. Among the examples he put forward to pass a study class are the following steps:

First: A sense of the problem, i.e. placing the student in a state of doubt and confusion regarding a particular educational situation
Second: What can be expected based on the student's intuition.
Third: Examination, inspection, detection and full briefing on the educational situation to determine the problem.
Fourth: Finding suitable hypotheses.
Fifth: Take the appropriate measures to test the hypotheses and build a plan to implement them.
Through the above, Doyi explains to us the importance of learning through trial and error, reflecting on experience, and the reflection of experience on the learning process, which helps students integrate and benefit from their experiences and refine their personalities in a way that suits educational situations and manages them well, and if they encounter similar situations in their lives. Practical and social, which supports students, especially students who are unable to control their physical movement, so they become more balanced and calm, and their movement is positively utilized to acquire knowledge.
Through these progressive practices, we arouse students' curiosity, interest, and motivation for education, and we build with them new plans that are able to meet their needs and suit their abilities and reality.

Finally
John Dewey is considered one of the most important philosophers and educators and developed his ideas to serve education, and through writing Democracy and Education (1916) he laid the foundations for democratic education. At the present time, this problem still exists, and it is due to many reasons, the most important of which is the traditional teaching methods that separate the mind from the body in the educational and educational process, and together they constitute an important source of information acquisition. Perceiving the meaning of something without the interaction of knowledge with the movement of the body in order to internalize it in the mind of the student through his senses. And the process of integrating knowledge and the mind with the body in the educational workspace, which takes place under the supervision of an expert teacher, who ignites the student’s passion for science and makes him love knowledge and discovery, and provides an interactive classroom learning environment to help students (all students at all levels, whether they are nervous about their body movement or students who are calm and committed to the rules of the class, and students The weakest abilities in memorizing and remembering) in acquiring skills and knowledge, and giving them an opportunity to participate and be present effectively in school classes, which leads to strengthening their status and belonging to the teacher, and they form positive roles in the school and in society as well. Through providing opportunities for creative originality and acquiring positive behaviors towards society and societal values and morals that we have lost in our current time.

Many years ago, Abu Ammar delivered an important speech before the General Assembly of the United Nations. Dozens of delegation heads came to exchange peace and greetings with Abu Ammar.

Long years passed and nothing of what Abu Ammar demanded was achieved, until President Abu Mazen came to deliver a speech at the United Nations on May 15, the anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, and he also demanded recognition of our right to self-determination for our people so that peace and security can be achieved in the region. With phrases and terminology that will remain in memory, including his saying, “O people, O world, protect us,” and singled out Britain and the United States for bearing direct political and moral responsibility for the plight of our people, and Britain since it issued the Balfour Declaration and America has been since the establishment of Israel until today and is the supporter and supporter of everything that a state requires Occupation.

Abu Ammar had announced on November 15, 1988, during the meeting of the National Council in the Pine Palace in the Algerian capital, the establishment of the State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital, but the occupation still exists and is constantly expanding. The gates of the Old City of Jerusalem, as confirmed by their Prime Minister Netanyahu, after there were possibilities to cancel it.
President Abu Mazen said in his last speech that there are 70 UN resolutions and not one of them has been implemented, which confirms what is known that UN resolutions are mere ink on paper in most cases and are of no value if those concerned do not have effective military and political power. implement it.

In any case, the resolutions and positions of the United Nations have moral importance, as they raise our issue with world public opinion, but the most important of all is our internal strength and positions, and the most important thing that has been required and known for several years is the restoration of national unity between the West Bank and Gaza and standing together. In this case, it may seem necessary to hold presidential and legislative elections so that the restoration of unity is a popular and deep-rooted decision.. Is anyone listening?!

Elon Musk defends his Twitter decisions

Elon Musk has defended his decisions related to Twitter and indicated that he will devote more time to managing Tesla, promising once again to manufacture fully self-driving cars by next year.

"I say what I want, and if I lose money as a result, no problem," Musk said in an interview with CNBC after a general meeting of Tesla.

The journalist he was interviewing asked him why his tweets contained provocative messages, similar to those in which he recently accused Jewish businessman George Soros of "hating people."

Since the billionaire's acquisition of the social platform six months ago, a large number of advertisers have left it, following Musk's decisions to tolerate controversial content and reactivate the accounts of previously banned personalities on the social network, such as Donald Trump.

Musk said that the former US president has not yet resumed tweeting, but if he once again indicates that fraud occurred in the election results, his tweet will be corrected thanks to contributors who add “notes” to potentially misleading tweets.

The billionaire also defended the collective dismissal of his employees, considering this step necessary to "achieve balance", and his refusal to work remotely.

He said, "They want everyone to go to work: the worker to the factory and the cook to the restaurant to prepare dishes for them, but they don't want to go to the offices! This is nonsense!", before confirming that he himself only takes two or three days off from work. annually.

Elon Musk recently appointed Linda Iaccarino, director of advertising at NBC Universal, to take over the presidency of Twitter to succeed him.

Musk will continue to pay attention to social network technology, but above all he intends to devote additional time to managing Tesla, especially in terms of developing artificial intelligence in electric cars.

"I think Tesla will have an artificial intelligence program similar to ChatGBT, if not this year, next year at the latest," he said.

Disclosure of the indictment against the former deputy aggression

The Public Prosecutor of the Jordanian State Security Court charged the Jordanian MP, Imad Al-Adwan, who had his immunity lifted, with attempting to smuggle weapons from Jordan to the occupied West Bank, according to his lawyer, Ali Al-Mobaideen.

"MP Imad Al-Adwan appeared today (Tuesday) before the State Security Court and was interrogated by its public prosecutor on the grounds that the Israeli security forces caught him in possession of firearms and went to a border crossing last month," al-Moubaideen told AFP.

Al-Moubaideen said, "The court's prosecutor charged the aggression with two counts of exporting weapons with the intent to use them illegally, repeated four times, and carrying out acts that would disturb public order and threaten community security."

The aggression, if convicted of these two charges, faces a penalty of up to 15 years in prison, according to the Anti-Terrorism Law.
Israel handed over the aggression to the Jordanian authorities on the seventh of this month.

The Jordanian Parliament lifted his immunity based on the request of the Public Prosecution of the State Security Court.

And the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on April 23 that the Israeli authorities had stopped the aggression against the backdrop of its attempt to smuggle quantities of weapons and gold from Jordan to the occupied West Bank.

Imad Al-Adwan is 35 years old, and he is one of the youngest deputies, and he comes from one of the most famous tribes in Jordan.

He is a lawyer and a member of the Palestine Committee in the Jordanian Parliament and has political positions opposing the government.

Israeli media reported at the time that the Hebrew state authorities had stopped the aggression on the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby) and seized quantities of weapons and gold in his car while he was on his way to the West Bank occupied by Israel since 1967, without specifying its final destination or the purpose of smuggling it.

The Israelis transmitted on social media at the time a video clip that could not be verified showing the weapons that were said to have been seized in the deputy's car, including pistols and automatic rifles.

Jordan and Israel concluded a peace treaty in 1994.

Relations between the two countries were repeatedly described as "cold peace", and they were tense for many years under the rule of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and they have increased since his return to the prime minister recently.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns Israel's continued attempts to gradually annex

Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the occupation’s defiance of the occupied Palestinian land, including East Jerusalem, and the perpetration of more violations and crimes against our people, their land, property, and sanctities, in an official Israeli race against time to annex and Judaize the largest possible area of the land of the State of Palestine and drown it in a settlement perimeter. It is huge and turns it into scattered, unconnected islands, which leads to striking the geographical contiguity in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and replacing it, at best, with transportation contiguity.

The ministry said in a statement that the so-called provocative media march in Jerusalem under the slogan (unification of the two parts of the city) and settlers' escalation of their attacks and writing hostile racist slogans, as happened in Beit Iksa, storming the city of Nablus under the pretext of securing the visit of extremist settlers, and setting fires in areas in the Jordan Valley. Northern Territory as a result of fabricated military exercises, and other violations all fall within the framework of the occupying state's attempts to change the historical, political and legal reality in the occupied Palestinian territory and impose new facts on the ground that are difficult to bypass in any future negotiations, in line with the fictitious occupation narratives that are based on fabricating lies and reversing facts. History, geography, and the use of political and religious concepts, events, and holidays for colonial purposes to deepen the absorption of the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, so that talk of implementing the principle of the two-state solution becomes imaginary, unrealistic, and irrational. as she said.

The Ministry expressed its strong condemnation of the absence of international reactions towards these provocative violations and attacks in general, and also expresses its rejection of some international positions that equate the executioner with the victim and direct its speech and appeals to both parties, which leads to shuffling the papers to escape holding the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for the results and repercussions of its war and attacks. open to the Palestinian people and their just and legitimate national rights.

The ministry called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities in implementing the resolutions of international legitimacy and to take the necessary measures to stop the current Israeli escalation, in order to preserve what remains of its credibility.

Champions League: Ancelotti "Madrid summit with City is a confrontation between the two best teams in Europe"

The Italian coach of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, believes that the two best teams in Europe will compete head-to-head for a place in the final match of the Champions League in football on Wednesday, when the Spanish giants visit Manchester City, England.

The two teams tied 1-1 in the first leg last Tuesday in Madrid, and City seeks to exploit the ground workers and the public on Wednesday to take revenge on the Royal Club, which ousted it from the same round last year, on its way to the fourteenth title in its history in the competition and the fifth in the last nine seasons.

Ancelotti said Tuesday in his press conference on the eve of the match at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, "Madrid and City at this moment are the two best teams in Europe and for sure it will be an exciting match as it was in the first leg."

City did not lose in 22 matches in various competitions and is close to achieving a rare triple, as it leads the English Premier League and reached the final match of the FA Cup competition and seeks its first title in its history in the Champions League competition.

"Our plan will be the same as always: to get the most out of the players, individually and collectively," said Ancelotti. "But it is clear that it will be a very difficult match."

He continued, "I think we can do better than the first leg, but they will do that too .. Maybe we think we can do better (...) We are full of hope and we are very motivated. We know that the task will be very difficult, but sometimes it helps us It's hard to do our best."

Ancelotti will play Wednesday's match with his full squad after French international midfielder Eduardo Camavinga recovered from a knee injury that forced him not to complete the Getafe match (1-0) on Saturday in the domestic league.

The Brazilian international defense pole, Eder Militao, returns after being absent from the first leg due to suspension, where he was replaced by German Antonio Rudiger.

Ancelotti refused to confirm who would start in the center of defence, after his comments at the weekend hinted that Rudiger would start the first leg, having shone in marking City's lethal Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who scored 52 goals in various competitions that season.

Ancelotti spoke of Haaland again, "When we analyze a team, we don't analyze one player. It's not about Haaland, we have to evaluate all the players. We should not only watch Haaland, but all the players."

For his part, said the veteran Croatian international midfielder Luka Modric, "We played a lot of these matches .. the semi-finals and the final."

He added, "We have confidence and calm because we believe in our personality and our qualifications, and this is what I see day after day."

UEFA Champions League: Exciting duels on all sides between Madrid and City

The second leg match in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals between English Manchester City and Real Madrid, Spain, on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium, which the press dubbed the "Match of the Year", will witness exciting bilateral confrontations in various lines.

The Brazilian goalkeeper is distinguished by the use of his feet and his strong reaction, but he sometimes takes unnecessary risks, as he did against German Leipzig in the final price. But his Spanish coach, Pep Guardiola, always defended him by saying, "I have no doubts about him." "His performances over the years have contributed to our successes. Ederson is an exceptional goalkeeper."
Ederson saved two dangerous attempts at the end of the first leg, so he sent a header to Frenchman Karim Benzema and another strong shot to the other Frenchman, Aurelien Chouamini.

As for the Belgian Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, he was praised by his Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti, by saying, “I repeat that any goalkeeper must use his hands more than his feet, but Courtois does these two things very well. Courtois has huge potential, and we are fortunate to have a goalkeeper like him with us.”

In a complicated season for Kyle Walker due to the new tactical inspiration for Guardiola, who decided to use John Stones in the right-back defensive position, to be stationed in the midfield when the ball was in his possession. But the Spanish coach had to seek the help of Walker to tackle the fast Brazilian wing, Vinicius Junior.

Walker had succeeded in observing France striker Kylian Mbappe during the two teams' meeting in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar. The battle between him and Vinicius was exciting and despite the latter's success in scoring, the warm embrace between them at the end of the match proves the mutual respect between them.
Once again, Vinicius will be the most dangerous weapon in the ranks of Real Madrid, and his coach praised him by saying, "He is not injured at all. At the present time, he contributes greatly and his way of playing is show-stopping. He is the future of this club, and the future is now."
The Brazilian is shining remarkably this season, as evidenced by his scoring 23 goals and passing 21 decisive balls in various competitions.

After he was criticized directly by his coach last March, Belgian Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne raised his level in the final meters of the current season, forming a dangerous duo with the giant Norwegian striker Erling Haaland.

Guardiola said at the time, "He has an amazing ability to make assists, score goals, and see passes that no one else sees. But I am sure that things will improve when he does the easy things in a better way."

De Bruyne scored five goals and succeeded in 7 assists in the last 9 matches, including a brace against Arsenal in an important confrontation that ended with his team's 4-1 victory in the domestic league, and the equalizer against Real Madrid in the first leg.

On the other hand, German Toni Kroos plays in a late position this season, more inclined to protect the four-line defense.

Kroos said in this regard, "I have always said that I can occupy the position of player number 8 or 6. When you play in the position of number 8, there is always someone behind you. As for the position of number 6, your thinking is different, you are more careful."

It is noteworthy that if Real crowns the title for the fifteenth time, Van Croos, Benzema, Modric, Carvajal and Nacho will equal the record of six titles registered in the name of Real Madrid legend Paco Gento in the continental championship.
