Palestinian families who lost their homes count the devastation of five days of fighting in the Gaza Strip

Najah Nabhan is concerned about the future of her and dozens of her relatives who were forced to leave their homes due to the heavy Israeli bombardment during the five days of exchange of fire between Israel and armed Palestinian factions in the besieged Gaza Strip.

"The house was bombed as soon as I reached the street," Nabhan says, standing next to cement blocks and concrete slabs that are what remains of the apartment building in which she and 45 other people lived.

The most violent recent confrontations between Gaza and Israel began last week with air strikes that killed three military commanders in the Islamic Jihad Movement, and continued for five days.

The latest round of escalation caused the destruction of dozens of homes, while the United Nations quoted officials in the sector as saying that 103 homes were completely destroyed, while 140 others were severely damaged.

Neighbors helped Nabhan, 56, evacuate five of her daughters, who have special needs and are unable to walk, from the building before it was bombed.
Today, Najah and her family are homeless.

"I hope that my dream of providing a home will come true for my sons and daughters... I will now take them to the neighbors' house to take a shower and borrow clothes from people," she says. "I didn't take anything with me," she added.

Her son Bilal, who lives in the same building, says that his brother received a phone call from the Israeli side asking them to leave.

But Bilal confirms that the house was not bombed with a warning missile, which is usually small and precedes the bombing of the building completely.

The army did not respond to an AFP inquiry about the reason for targeting the house.
Bilal asserts that he is "still traumatized".

"We sell parsley in the market for ten shekels ($2.70) per day," the young man added.

He continues, "We are 45 people in this house... People were screaming, I am asking for shelter for 45 people."

Bilal points to the rubble. "Now they sleep here (beside the rubble)."
Israel and armed factions in the Gaza Strip, which is run by the Islamist Hamas movement, have fought several wars in recent years.

The latest escalation resulted in the death of 35 people, including 33 Palestinians, in the Gaza Strip.
In August 2022, three days of clashes between Israel and Islamic Jihad left 49 Palestinians dead, including 12 Islamic Jihad members, according to the movement, and at least 19 children, according to the United Nations.

Only a few of those whose homes were destroyed in Gaza can rebuild them in the Strip, where the poverty rate has reached about 53 percent, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics.

Israel besieges the Gaza Strip, home to 2.3 million people, by air, land and sea.
In Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, children climbed huge piles of concrete left over from the Israeli bombing.

In one of the overcrowded residential neighborhoods, Muhammad Zaidan's house escaped direct bombing, but the force of the bombing was sufficient to destroy its walls.

"When you want to target one person, there is no need to destroy an entire residential complex," Zaidan, 29, said.

He added, "I am a young man who lives in my home with my children. I focus mostly on my work. What is my fault that you make me pay the bill?"

He wonders, "Why? Do you write me a catastrophe for the rest of my life because I am a Palestinian?"
As Zeidan walked over the remains of his bedroom on Monday, Palestinians in other cities were marking the 75th anniversary of the 1948 Nakba, when more than 760,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes during the war that followed the declaration of Israel's creation.

Zidan, who has been sleeping in the street behind the building for four days, explains, "It reminds me that the Palestinian people are afflicted and are subjected to violations here, in the West Bank or Jerusalem.... All Western and Arab countries deal with you as a terrorist criminal."

The Israeli army did not immediately respond to AFP's inquiry about targeting the neighborhood.
When she found out about the destruction of her house, Haneen Nabhan, daughter of Najah, fainted.
"All the pain was inside me," says Hanin, who uses a wheelchair, and notes that her dreams were "shattered."

She adds, "The medicine I need is in the middle of the rubble. All my dreams were at home, and now they are gone."

Shtayyeh calls in front of an American delegation to preserve the two-state solution

Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh briefed an American delegation on the situation and developments in the Palestinian territories, and the escalation of occupation violations against our people.

During the meeting, which was held in his office in Ramallah, the Prime Minister said, "The conflict over Palestine is based on the zero-sum game, meaning that every meter of land that Israel seizes, Palestine loses, and every liter of water that Israel steals is a liter of water that we lose, and our people face it daily." A painful reality of raids, arrests and killings.

Shtayyeh added, "The entire international community, even the United States, calls for and believes in a two-state solution, but Israel does not want this solution and works to destroy it systematically daily through its unilateral measures, and wants to continue imposing irreversible facts."

And the Prime Minister continued, "The two-state solution must be preserved, and if it is missed, the facts on the ground indicate a tendency and a slide towards a single state that will be an apartheid state in reality and legislation, which was indicated by recent reports issued by many international and Israeli human rights organizations."

Shtayyeh called on the American administration to put pressure on Israel to stop all its unilateral measures towards our people, to allow Palestinian elections to be held in Jerusalem, as stipulated in the signed agreements, and to ensure that our people participate in them as candidates and elections.

Washington denies responsibility for the Palestinian Nakba

The Deputy Spokesperson for the US State Department, Vedant Patel, denied on Monday that the United States and Britain bear responsibility for the occurrence and sustainability of the Palestinian Nakba, which falls on May 15, 2023, its seventy-fifth anniversary, and which the United Nations was commemorating for the first time on the same day.

Commenting on a question asked by the Jerusalem correspondent, Patel said that he does not agree with what Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said in a special session of the United Nations (Monday 15/5/2023) that Britain and the United States in particular bear direct political and moral responsibility for the plight of our people, as they are The two participated in making our people a victim when they decided to establish and plant another entity in our historical homeland, for their own colonial goals.

President Abbas officially demanded that Israel be compelled to respect Resolutions 181 of 1947 and 194, or to suspend its membership in the United Nations, especially since it did not fulfill its obligations to accept its membership in the UN organization.

The United Nations officially celebrated for the first time on Monday the anniversary of the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the war waged by the Zionist armed gangs, before they became an army, to establish the State of Israel on the ruins of the Palestinians 75 years ago, which sparked sharp reactions from Israel and its supporters.

The event was attended by the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, on the occasion of the Nakba, or "disaster," and many member states from Asia, Africa, Central and South America, and the Middle East; And the representatives of the African Union and the Arab League who delivered the speeches. The United States and Britain did not attend.

Abbas said, "This decision represents recognition by your organizations of the continuing historical injustice that befell the Palestinian people in 1948 and before that date, and continues thereafter." He added that it was also a refutation "for the first time by you of the Israeli Zionist narrative that denies this Nakba."

The Palestinian President stressed that the most important condition for achieving peace and security in our region lies in recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, the independence of their sovereign Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, resolving the issue of Palestinian refugees on the basis of Resolution 194, and the release of All Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

US envoy Nate Evans, deputy US ambassador to the United Nations, refused to attend the Nakba commemoration event, saying he was not involved in anti-Israel activities.

When Al-Quds correspondent raised the issue of the refusal of the US envoy to the United Nations, Nate Evans, with Spokesman Patel on Monday at his press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Patel said, "The American presence or representation in any event does not reflect our commitment to the Palestinian people. We are still aware of the painful plight of the Palestinian refugees. We will I also note that this administration has prioritized our support for the Palestinian people and has provided more than $940 million to the Palestinians, including $730 million in humanitarian assistance for Palestinian refugees."

We also remain committed to a negotiated and mutually agreed-upon two-state solution that resolves all final status issues, including refugees. And you will remember that President Biden, who was standing next to President Abbas last June, said that the Palestinian people deserve a state of their own to be Independent, sovereign, viable and connected. That remains our view."

More than a million dollars losses in the agricultural sector as a result of the aggression on Gaza

The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed today, Tuesday, that the value of the initial damages incurred in the agricultural sector during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip amounted to 1,300,275 US dollars.

The ministry's spokesperson, Adham Al-Basiouni, said in a press conference, "This aggression resulted in the destruction of many acres planted with vegetables and trees, as a result of the direct targeting of these lands, or as a result of the interruption of irrigation water on agricultural crops during the period of the Israeli aggression, as farmers were unable to reach to their lands."

And he indicated that the livestock suffered great losses, represented by the death of numbers of birds and animals as a result of direct targeting by the occupation aircraft and artillery, stressing that the direct targeting of the agricultural sector caused severe damage to agricultural facilities, wells, main and secondary conveyor lines, agricultural ponds, stores of agricultural equipment, pesticides and bee farms.

Al-Basiouni said: "The occupation's targeting of the agricultural sector has led to weakness and lack of marketing capacity in some cases for many plant and animal agricultural products as a result of movement restrictions and difficulty in accessing agricultural lands and animal facilities, as well as market disruption, in addition to the absence of an export opportunity for many agricultural products." And fish, which caused a sharp drop in prices for many agricultural products, causing huge losses to producers.

He added, "All these factors and others led to the unemployment of a large number of workers in the agricultural, plant and animal sectors, including fishermen, which led to a deterioration in their economic situation, and the creation of a difficult humanitarian situation among workers in the agricultural sector."

Al-Basiouni stressed that the Palestinian farmer will remain the owner of his land, continuing to cultivate it without tirelessness or hesitation, regardless of the targeting and aggression committed by the occupation against him. To stand and support the Palestinian farmer in all stages and fields, and will continue to work to strengthen his steadfastness on his land.

He called on the international community and all human rights and specialized institutions to unify efforts by pressing the occupation in order to lift the siege on the Gaza Strip and to work on rebuilding what was destroyed by the occupation, and to compensate farmers for what they incurred as a result of this aggression.

UEFA Champions League: Manchester City to take advantage of its "house" and untie Real Madrid in the semi-finals

Manchester City, England, is looking to take advantage of the ground factor to break its knot in the semi-finals of the European Champions League in football against Real Madrid, when it hosts it on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium in the second leg of the semi-final, after they drew 1-1 in the first leg.

The Emirati-owned team tasted the bitterness of defeat last season, when it was on its way to the final by winning 4-3 at home, then advancing 1-0 in the royal home, before Brazilian Rodrigo scored a double in the fatal time, then French Karim Benzema booked the final card in Overtime penalty (3-1), on the way to a record fourteenth title.

Also in the 2016 semi-finals, the two teams drew 0-0 in Manchester before Real reached the final with a home goal.

But this time, Spanish coach Pep Guardiola's team has the necessary equipment to confront the stubborn Real in an ancient competition that it is panting behind. His best achievement was his coming second in 2021 behind his compatriot Chelsea, although he was ahead by a wide margin in the domestic league.

City also has the land advantage, especially since it won all 14 of its home matches in 2023.

City is fighting on more than one front, as it is very close to winning its fifth title in six years in the English Premier League at the expense of Arsenal, it will meet its arch-neighbor Manchester United in the final of the local cup and continues to strive for a continental title. "Citizens" also dreams of repeating United's feat, which scored a historic hat-trick in 1999.

Guardiola rested Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who scored the equalizer in the first leg, during the outright 3-0 win at Everton on Sunday. But he pushed his scoring machine, the Norwegian Erling Haaland, who scored 52 goals in various competitions.

Former French striker Thierry Henry says about De Bruyne (31 years), who played under his supervision when he was an assistant coach for the Belgium national team, "I knew a lot of players, played with many, saw many, faced great players. I think Kevin's intelligence is the best I've ever seen in my life." ".

Follow up on the player who won ten titles with City under the supervision of Guardiola and third last season in the Golden Ball award ranking for the best player in the world. "I've watched him for six years with the Belgium national team. You love him more because you see him in training and matches. It's unbelievable. His intelligence, I'm still thinking With the things I've seen, he's on a different planet."

Despite the focus on Haaland breaking one record after another, De Bruyne's contributions with City were pivotal in the past years, before the arrival of the Norwegian giants last summer. Before his goal at the Santiago Bernabeu, he scored a brace against Arsenal, which paved the way for a third consecutive title in the Premier League.

However, the red-haired Belgian is more distinguished by his assists, which amounted to 27 in 43 matches this season, becoming the fastest player to pass 100 decisive balls in the Premier League.

“He needs to play quickly,” Guardiola says of him. “It is rare to find a player who moves so quickly and has a greater ability to see passes when he is in the acceleration phase than when he is stopped.”

"Ordinary players see everything while walking. But when you run at high speed, you can't see what's happening. It's the exact opposite. That's why he's an exceptional player," Pep continued, panting after the Champions League title since 2011 when he was coach of Barcelona.

On the other hand, Real has enjoyed a terrible sway over this competition since its inception, when it was crowned five times between 1956 and 1960, and then in the third millennium, when it won the title seven times, the last of which was last season at the expense of Liverpool, England, with a goal.

His fans breathed a sigh of relief when his Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti, announced that his young French left-back, Eduardo Camavinga, had a good knee injury, as suggested by the scenes against Getafe in La Liga last Saturday.

Camavinga, 20, played an important role in the Brazilian Vinicius Jr.’s goal in the first leg, before he made a mistake that cost City a draw, knowing that the player who became a key element in Ancelotti’s plan and coming in 2021 for $44 million from Rennes, played 54 matches in various competitions. this season.

And while Real Madrid lost its title in the domestic league in favor of its historical rival Barcelona, it partially compensated by winning the King’s Cup title at the expense of Osasuna (2-1) and hopes to continue its way to the continental final to meet the qualifier between Milan and Inter of the Italians (0-2 in the first leg).

Ancelotti is again counting on Vinicius Junior, veteran Benzema and Croatian playmaker Luka Modric to dedicate the royal knot in the semi-final against Manchester Blue and his coach Guardiola, who is willing to respond to criticisms that have always dealt with his strategy in major continental events.

England Championship: Liverpool continues to knock on the door of the Champions League

Liverpool V continued its pressure on Newcastle III and Manchester United IV by defeating the injured Leicester City 3-0 at the end of the thirty-sixth stage of the England Football Championship, in a match in which the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah starred through three assists.

Liverpool raised its tally to 65 points, one point behind Newcastle and United, but the latter two played a lesser match. On the other hand, Leicester's balance froze at 30 points in the penultimate position, to remain in actual danger of falling.

And the victory is the seventh in a row for Liverpool, so it breaks, thus knocking on the door of the Champions League, hoping to stumble for the third and fourth place holders, as it remains for it to play two matches, the first at home against Aston Villa next Saturday, then ends its season by visiting Southampton, who fell to the “Championship” league on the current 28.

Leicester, who turned the tables on everyone in 2016 when it was crowned champion, but is currently threatened with bidding farewell to the Premier League, started the match well and hit between the three woods twice. But Liverpool was the first to score when Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah lifted a perfect ball at the far post, which was easily followed by the unmarked Curtis Jones into the net (33).

Leicester did not recover from the shock until Curtis added himself the second three minutes later, with another pass from Salah, to break the offside trap and deposit the ball into the net.

Liverpool continued its advantage in the second half and succeeded in adding the third goal when Salaj moved a direct free kick towards Trent Alexander-Arnold, who fired it into the roof of the Leicester City net, finally deciding the result in favor of his team (71).

Salah almost crowned his brilliant efforts by scoring the fourth goal, but he strangely shot outside the three sticks after being alone with the Leicester City goalkeeper (77).

The Algerian Federation of the Capital is looking for a second continental final in its history, when it faces its guest Asec Mimosas Ivory Coast in the second leg of the semi-finals of the African Football Confederation Cup, Wednesday, at the “5 July” stadium in Algeria.
The first final for the “Soustara” team was in 2015 in the Champions League final, when it lost to TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The Algerian team achieved a goalless draw in the first leg that was held in the city of Bouaké, as it withstood the continuous pressure of Ivory Coast throughout the match. And he looks forward to exploiting the ground workers and the public to reach the final and chase the first continental title in its 85-year history.

The coach of the Algerian team, Abdelhak Ben Sheikha, confirmed the readiness of his players to reach the “dream final”, led by Abdelrahman Meziane, who returned from injury, which gives him additional attacking options, along with Botswana Tomisang Oriboni, Ayman Mahyous and Khaled Bosilio.

Ben Sheikha warned his players against the consequences of being lenient with ASEC, and called on them to take matters seriously from the start, adding, "They should focus until the final whistle."

He continued, "The visiting team has nothing to lose, and therefore it will throw all its weight to achieve a positive result, and then reach the final."
The Ivorian team is seeking to come out with a positive result to cut off the transit visa to the final for the first time in its history as well, noting that it won the 1998 African Champions League and the 1999 African Super Cup.

In the second semi-final, Marumo Gallants of South Africa needs double efforts that transcend the factors of the land and the audience to overcome the obstacle of his guest, Young Africans of Tanzania, when they face off in Polokwane.

Young Africans had won the first leg with two clean goals in Dar es Salaam, to advance to the first final in its history.

The South African team, led by English coach Dylan Kerr, is seeking to turn the score around, based on his knowledge of Tanzanian football, as he was previously a coach for Simba Club, in addition to possessing distinguished elements, most notably the top scorer Ranga Shivaferu, who is a requirement for many of the continent's giants.

Announcing the results of the residential real estate price index - the first quarter of 2023

The Palestinian Monetary Authority issued the results of the residential real estate price index in Palestine for the first quarter of the year 2023[1], which indicated that the index stabilized at its level in the previous quarter, reaching 113.7 points, in light of slight changes in the sub-indices. The house price index increased by 0.4% to settle at 119.2 points, while the apartment price index decreased by 0.7% to reach 105.5 points. At the level, the index rose slightly by 0.4%, as a result of the changes that occurred in the prices of apartments (a decrease of about 1.40%) and houses (an increase of about 1.45%).

Figure (1) shows relative stability in the value of the index since the beginning of the year 2022, which indicates a kind of weakness in the interest of individuals in the real estate market, amid the exacerbation of uncertainty locally and globally, and its repercussions on the confidence of consumers and investors together, in addition to the suffering of Palestinian cities. Among the policies of deliberate closure by the occupation, the rise in price levels in general and the decline in the purchasing power of individuals and families.

In general, the specifications of the property to be sold play a major role in determining its price. During the months of this quarter, the apartments offered for sale in Palestine were characterized by more than half of them being new apartments, and that their average area was about 160 square meters, close to the number recorded in the previous quarter of 156 square meters, and mostly contain three bedrooms, less than three bathrooms, in addition to a balcony. As for homes, the data showed an increase in the average building area of homes offered for sale during the quarter to about 316 square metres. Most of them were new homes, consisting of more than three bedrooms and at least three bathrooms. Real estate is also affected by other specifications, the most important of which is related to the price of the land on which the property is built, in addition to the geographical location and the residential neighborhood.

It is noteworthy that this index is issued on a quarterly basis, with the aim of monitoring the movement of the residential real estate market, and potential fluctuations in prices in order to avoid price bubbles. In addition to using it as an input of economic policies, especially macro-prudential policies, because of its essential role in consumption, saving and investment decisions.

An important historical event and speech

Jerusalem Hadith

Opinion Writer

There is no doubt that the commemoration by the United Nations yesterday of the anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba at its headquarters in New York, in the presence of many delegates of countries, led by the countries that support our people and their just cause, is a historic event in every sense of the word, especially since it takes place for the first time in the history of the Nakba 75 years ago. President Mahmoud Abbas, with this important event, is of particular importance as well, to remind the world of the cause of our people and the Nakba that has passed for seven and a half decades without finding a solution to it. On the contrary, more than half of our people are still displaced and live in refugee camps because of this Nakba and because of the massacres committed The Zionist gangs have righted him and forced him to leave his land in order to establish their artificial entity on the ruins of our people and their land.

And we said that what happened in the United Nations hall in commemoration of the Nakba is an important historical event due to several reasons, the most prominent of which is that it means that the United Nations recognizes the calamity of our people as a result of the occupation state replacing our people according to a major international conspiracy that stood and still stands at the head of the United States of America and with it Britain, which made a fundamental contribution to the establishment of the occupying state on our land and the displacement of our people, and they are still with the colonial western countries that provide this occupying entity with all the elements of its existence on the Palestinian land.

Commemorating the anniversary at the United Nations headquarters is an acknowledgment of the Nakba and a strong blow to the United States, Britain and other countries that support the Zionist entity, which inflicted this important event on it is not only a painful blow, but rather a refutation of its narrative that it fabricated and created, that Palestine was devoid of its people and that it was a land without a people For a people without a land, and it became clear through the displacement of our people and their continuous and continuous struggle to expel the occupation and restore their inalienable national rights, that the occupation narrative was false to replace it, and that it was late in the real Palestinian narrative that the world began to realize the reality of the brutal occupation and what it inflicted on the Palestinian people in terms of massacres, plundering of their country’s resources and settlement of their land After uprooting the bulk of this people from their land.

President Abbas's speech came to put points on the letters regarding the occupation state's falsification of historical facts that affirm that our people have been on their land Palestine since eternity and will remain until God inherits the land and what is on it.

The United Nations, which commemorated the Nakba, must continue to commemorate it annually until the return of our people to their country and the implementation of its decisions to return, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and to work by all means to hold the occupying state accountable for its crimes against our people, our land, and our sanctities.

Without that, the conflict will remain and threaten global peace and security, as a result of this occupation that gets away with punishment due to the support of America, Britain and many Western colonial countries for it, but our people will not be satisfied until the full realization of their inalienable national rights.

The victory of jihad is the victory of blood over the sword

I would not have gone to participate in lighting the seventy-fifth “Flame of Return” that Ibdaa called for in its arena, had the aggression against Gaza continued, which Netanyahu declared was an assault on the jihad movement, killing twice as many children, women, and innocents as those killed in jihad. (11-33).

During the five days of the aggression, I was haunted by anxiety, sadness, and fear that what happened with Khader Adnan would happen with the jihad movement. He would be singled out for three months and nights of hunger and thirst until his soul spilled over into its walls. Before him, he would be singled out for the heroes of the Freedom Tunnel who dug reinforced concrete with their spoons. And their fingers, and when they went out into the light and embraced freedom, they did not find a single hand reaching out to them with a crumb of bread or a drink of water.

in the three singularities; The heroes of the tunnel and the hero of relying on hunger to break the prison and the jailer, and the elimination of the heroes of the Jihad Brigades, we decided as a national group to leave them to face their fate alone with premeditation and premeditation, relying on our tongue alone to pray for them and nothing else but supplication, (supplicate more for them) Until I felt that we are the only nation in the world that adopts this procedure, moving the tongue only, this is assuming that we were all truthful in our prayers, and our tongues spoke contrary to what our hearts harbored.

And far from the lengthening, and the great achievement achieved by the jihad by preventing Israel from achieving its goals, I decided to participate in lighting the flame of the seventy-fifth return, as a victory for the jihad, its brigades, its martyrs, its fighters, and their steadfastness, and not because I believe that lighting the flame will lead to achieving the return, because this flame is being lit For 75 years, we have not advanced one inch towards the return. Rather, many of those who take the lead on the local, Arab and international platforms do not believe in this return. right and this back . I am not afraid of anyone that the Oslo agreement dropped this return, although it kept it as a word without content, as happened with the issues of the permanent solution that all of them were thrown into the trash bin, such as the issue of Jerusalem, which in its two parts became the unified eternal capital of the usurping entity, and yet you see some people revolting For the sake of a neighborhood, a mosque, or a church in Jerusalem, forgetting that all of Jerusalem, with the exception of its residents, has become outside the discussion, and the postponement of the Palestinian elections that were agreed upon to be held, has been invalidated by this pretext, the pretext that Israel refuses to grant Jerusalemites the right to vote and run. And the deportation of Jerusalemite lawyer Salah Al-Hamouri to Paris on the claim of his French nationality. That was about six months ago, i.e. in Lapid’s peaceful government, i.e. before the advent of Ben Ghafir and his likes from the fascist right. The same thing applies to not handing over the body of the symbolic prisoner Nasser Hamid after a quarter of a century of families.

With the steadfastness of the legendary jihad, and its evolution from a small movement to a giant that occupies the hearts of people, I felt for the first time that return is closer than ever.

To stop the crimes of the occupation against education and educational facilities in the Palestinian territories

Attorney Ali Abu Hilal

Attorney Ali Abu Hilal

Opinion Writer

The Israeli occupation continues to demolish Palestinian homes and facilities throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, without discrimination, within the framework of the policy of deportation, ethnic cleansing, and racial discrimination that it practices against the Palestinian people, which contradicts international humanitarian law and the International Bill of Human Rights.

Within the framework of this aggressive colonial policy, the occupation government is demolishing schools and educational facilities, aiming to ignore the Palestinian people and undermine the right of students to education, in contravention of the right to education, which is considered a basic human right, and which was affirmed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, And the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, as the Israeli occupation forces demolished, last Wednesday evening, 11/5/2023, the Al-Tahadi School 5 in the “Jib al-Dhib” area in Beit Ta’mar, east of Bethlehem, for the second time this week and the third since its establishment. A force of the occupation army, accompanied by a large truck, stormed the Jubb Al-Dib area, and surrounded the Al-Tahadi 5 School, which was rebuilt with two tents, and closed the place tightly, and prevented citizens from reaching the school, before demolishing it.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces demolished this school, in which 60 students are studying, earlier, before the Wall Resistance Commission and the people of Beit Tamar rebuilt it. It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation authorities demolished 11 schools, since 2016, and the last one was a school more than two weeks ago. "Challenge 5" mixed basic in the "Jub Al Dheeb" area. After the occupation demolished it when it was established in 2017, claiming that it was built without a permit.

It is noteworthy that the occupation's demolition of Al-Tahadi schools, which was established by the Ministry of Education in Area C, began in 2016 with the demolition of the Berain Elementary Mixed School, north of Hebron. In 2018, the occupation demolished four schools under the pretext of building without a permit, and they are: Abu Nuwara Mixed Elementary School in the outskirts of Jerusalem, Zanouta Mixed Elementary School in southern Hebron, Al-Semia Mixed Elementary School in southern Hebron, and Ibziq Mixed Elementary School in Tubas.

In 2021, the occupation also demolished a school under construction in the town of Beit Hanina in the Jerusalem Governorate, and the Al-Maleh Basic Mixed School in the Tubas Governorate, and last year the occupation demolished the Umm Qassah and Isfi schools in Masafer Yatta in the Hebron Governorate. It is reported that all 32 challenge schools are threatened demolition, in addition to the fact that the total number of schools threatened with demolition is 58, all of which are located in Area C. The “Challenge Schools” were named by this name, to emphasize the continuity of providing education to children in marginalized areas and those classified as “C”, in which they are not allowed. The occupation authorities, building schools in. The occupation authorities prevent any change or construction in Area C, which includes 61% of the area of the West Bank, without a permit, and it is almost impossible to obtain it.

It is clear that the occupation government is committing a massacre of demolitions against the “Al-Tahaddi” schools with the aim of fighting education and obstructing the access of children and students to their schools and depriving them of receiving their education in a safe and stable educational environment, especially in communities where students need to travel long distances on foot to reach their school.

These crimes committed by the occupation against education are considered war crimes and crimes against humanity, and they must be stopped immediately, but the occupation finds in the silence of the international community on them an encouragement for it to continue this policy that has no deterrent or punishment for it, and that it is sufficient to condemn these crimes by society and organizations Despite its importance, it is not enough to stop these crimes, as expressed by many regional and international organizations, including what was expressed by the European Union spokesperson in Palestine, Shadi Othman, about the Union’s shock at the Israeli authorities’ demolition of the school funded by it because more than 60 Palestinian children They will be affected by that, and Othman stressed that the demolitions are illegal under international law, stressing that children's right to education must be respected, stressing the need for the occupation government to stop all demolitions and evictions that will lead to an increase in the suffering of the Palestinian population, and to an escalation of the situation in an already tense environment.

Stopping these crimes committed by the occupation requires strong, effective and effective Palestinian, Arab and international action that would deter the occupation, prevent it from continuing these crimes, and prosecute those who commit them before the international criminal courts, especially before the International Criminal Court, which must assume its legal responsibility and deal with credibility and integrity. With the cases referred to it, far from double standards, as was evident in its handling of the Russian-Ukrainian war claims.

The camp will remain a symbol of the Palestinian people's adherence to the sacred right of return

Muhammad Al-Nubani

Muhammad Al-Nubani

Since the Nakba that befell the Palestinian Arab people on the fifteenth of May 1948, which resulted in the establishment of what became known as Israel on (78%) of historical Palestine and the displacement of nearly 800,000 Palestinians from their homes and the occupation of most of their cities and villages, passing through the setback of 1967 that led to the occurrence of the rest From Palestine under Israeli occupation to the 2020 Deal of the Century through which they sought to achieve the remaining goals of the Zionist project, the central goal that the reactionary Zionist-American Arab coalition seeks to achieve is still the deprivation of the Palestinian refugees who were displaced from their homes by force of arms and whose number today exceeds (6) Millions of refugees have the sacred right to return to the land of their fathers and grandfathers, according to the international resolution (194).

In this context, it was noticed that all the political settlement projects put forward by the enemies of the Palestinian people to liquidate the Palestinian cause focused on exploiting the difficult conditions in which the Palestinian refugees live in the camps specifically to push them to agree to give up the right of return in exchange for crumbs of financial aid and resettlement projects that end their attachment With a dream and the right to return.

But they were refusing, resisting and offering their lives cheaply in order for this sacred right to remain at the forefront of the Palestinian scene.

The founding leaders of Israel were betting that the old generation of the Palestinian Nakba would die and the young ones who would come after them would forget (the old ones die and the young ones forget). Living in it reminds them of their country from which they were expelled unjustly and aggressively.

And because the camps have played and continue to play a pivotal role in the course of the Palestinian struggle, we found that the level of Israeli-American hatred and the Arab reactionary Zionists against them was and still is very high.

Perhaps the Sabra and Shatila massacre committed by the Lebanese isolationists with the help of the Israeli army during the invasion of Lebanon in the summer of 1982 is the clearest proof of what we are saying.

And as long as there is talk of liquidating the refugee issue, it must be pointed out to an important fact, which is that all the forces hostile to the Palestinian people, foremost among them the United States of America and the reactionary Arab regimes, are participating in the conspiracy aimed at liquidating the Palestinian camp, considering it a title for adhering to the right of return by making life in it hell. Unbearable and reduced aid to the UNRWA to a minimum.

In this context, we all mention how former US President Donald Trump, coinciding with his proposal for the deal of the century, stopped his country's contribution to the agency's budget, and how current President Joe Biden kept the contribution to the minimum limits.

And publicly, I will not add anything new if I say that the conspiracy against the Palestinian refugees is not limited to reducing the services provided to them below the minimum level, but rather goes beyond that to adopting the Zionist narrative about the real number of Palestinian refugees.

While the historical facts confirm that their number is about (6) million people, the Zionists and their protectors in Washington insist, as stated in the liquidation deal of the century put forward by former US President Donald Trump, that their number ranges between (30-60) thousand only.

It goes without saying that the aim of this obvious lie is to divert the eyes of the peoples of the world from the most heinous crime of ethnic cleansing committed by the Zionists with American and Western assistance.

But no matter how much they lied, misled and distorted the historical facts, the Palestinian camp will remain a symbol of the Palestinian people's adherence to the right to return to their homeland, until they return.

Caveats of exclusivity and division

Hamada Pharaohs

Hamada Pharaohs

General Giora Eiland, former head of the Israeli National Security Council from 2004-2006, summarized the lessons of the colony's "shield and spear" campaign against the Islamic Jihad movement and the people of Gaza in an article published by the Hebrew Yedioth Ahronoth on 5/14/2023 under the title "Eight Lessons from the Campaign":

The most important of which is the distinction between two types of military campaigns, the first with a limited goal in order to preserve the status quo, and the second aimed at changing the status quo.

The campaign of aggression against Gaza was of the first kind, limited in purpose, which is to harm the capabilities of the jihad movement, reduce its militant initiatives, and reduce its level of danger, which is what it has already done with Hamas several times with the aim of trimming its nails and pulling out its fangs, but not to harm its unilateral authority and control over the Gaza Strip. As long as it adheres to the truce agreements, which it is, and it proved that in the August 2022 campaign, and here it is renewing its credibility and commitment to the truce in the May 2023 campaign, at the lowest Israeli human and material cost.

Hamas is begging to maintain its authority in the Gaza Strip, through two factors:

1- Continuing to open the doors of the 48 areas for Palestinian labor from the people of Gaza, who are about twenty thousand workers who go daily to work in the workshops and factories of the colony in the 48 areas.

2- Continuing to pass Qatari financial aid on a monthly basis, through Ambassador Al-Emadi.

In the two cases and through them: 1- Working in Areas 48, 2- Qatari cash assistance, there are opportunities to improve the economic living situation, as possible for the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip under the authority of Hamas, in the face of impoverishment and starvation as a result of the cruel and unjust siege by the colony against the people of the Strip.

Giora Eiland calls on the colonial government to recognize Hamas, and to open negotiations with it, so that it will be the title of the Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip.

The Hamas movement has three titles:
First, it has sole authority in the Gaza Strip and has full control.

Secondly, it has credibility in the decision, and it has proven that when a truce agreement is reached with it through the Egyptian mediator, it is absolutely committed to that.

Thirdly, it is an extension of the largest and most important cross-border political movement in the Arab world, which is the Muslim Brotherhood movement, and reaching any agreement with it that includes this and is reflected in the Muslim Brotherhood factions with multiple geographical locations.

The scrutinizing observer cannot but take this into consideration, towards scrutinizing the future programs and plans of the colony that deepen the gap between the Palestinian factions and parties, and between the Palestinian West Bank and the Gaza Strip. At the expense of the entire Palestinian title: Return, Freedom and Independence.

The Hamas movement is a basic militant faction, as are Fatah, Jihad, the People's Party, Democracy, the People's Party, and the rest of the factions. Therefore, without the partnership being inclusive of all within the framework of the PLO, its institutions, and the Palestinian Authority and its tools, anxiety resides in the depths of those who bear a sense of responsibility, and avoid every Israeli programming and scheme aimed at the survival of Division and fragmentation and its continuity, as it is currently prevalent.
