A young man came from Germany to Afghanistan on a motorcycle...to attend a wedding

Islamabad - (dpa) - Afghan officials told the German News Agency (dpa) today, Sunday, that a person with dual citizenship arrived in the country after a 12-day journey, coming from Germany, on his motorcycle. .


And Afghan sources confirmed that the person, an Afghan believed to have a German passport, arrived in Ghazni province in central Afghanistan yesterday.


The man explained that he was living in the Afghan province of Paktia, and stated that he entered Herat province after passing through many countries, including Turkey and Iran, in order to attend a wedding.


Hafiz Omar, a spokesman for the governor of Ghazni province, said the man was met by Taliban officials at a security checkpoint after he was arrested.


The Taliban sports affairs official in the province, Bilal Mujahid, hurried to visit the cyclist and take souvenir photos with him.


Mujahid said: "When we heard about him, we went to meet him. But he was in a hurry. He told me that he needed to get to Kabul to attend a wedding."


The local official explained that he had permits to enter Iran and other countries, but entered Afghanistan without informing the officials about it.


Mujahid said: "I asked him about his goal, and he said / I want to show the world that Afghanistan is safe, and that before that people used to flee, but now you can travel by bicycle or motorbike."
