Poll: 68% of Israelis do not believe that Netanyahu will achieve victory in Gaza

If elections were held today without changes in the composition of the existing parties in the political system, the National Camp party led by Benny Gantz would win 30 seats and become the largest party in the Knesset.


While Likud gets 20 seats, while the Yesh Atid party, headed by opposition leader Yair Lapid, gets 15 seats, according to the Israeli Channel 13 poll.


In addition, a large majority of the public (68%) does not believe that Netanyahu is one step away from winning the war in Gaza.


Also according to the poll, the number of seats for the Yisrael Our Home Party, led by Avigdor Lieberman, increased to 11 seats, while the Otzma Yehudit Party, led by Itamar Ben Gvir, gained 9 seats.


While Shas, led by Aryeh Deri, would win 8 seats if the elections were held today, Religious Zionism, led by Bezalel Smotrich, and the Torah Judaism Party, led by Yitzhak Goldknopf, would win 7 seats each.


The results of the poll showed that the alliance of the Front with the Arab League for Change won 5 seats, while the Unified List got 4 seats, and the Labor Party got 4 parliamentary seats in elections taking place today, while the “Meretz” movement failed to exceed the electoral threshold (3.25% of the voters’ votes). This is in contrast to previous polls that showed the fall of Labor and the victory of Meretz with 4 seats.



Regarding the political map and opportunities to form a government, Netanyahu’s camp gets 51 seats out of 120 and fails to form a government coalition.


The poll also addressed what is the best time to hold elections in the eyes of Israelis. 33% of the sample believe that elections should be held at the end of 2024, while 30% believe that elections should be held immediately. Overall, 63% of Israelis believe that elections should be held before their scheduled date in October 2026. And 33% believe that elections should be held on time.
