While most Americans disapprove of President Donald Trump's handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the conflict doesn't affect his public image as much as it did President Joe Biden, according to a new poll.

This is due to the strong support Trump enjoys from his base on this issue. A poll of American adults, conducted by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, found that about 8 in 10 Republicans approve of Trump's handling of the conflict. In June, only about 4 in 10 Democrats approved of former President Joe Biden's handling of Israel's war on Gaza, shortly before Biden dropped out of the presidential race.

According to the poll, a significant number of Republicans indicate that during the first Trump administration, he "did not actively start any wars." A doctoral student at the prestigious Cornell University in New York State, Momodou Tal, announced that he has chosen to voluntarily leave the United States. Momodou Tall, a British and Gambian citizen, had asked a federal court to halt his detention. But he posted on X late Monday that he did not believe a court ruling in his favor would guarantee his safety or ability to express his opinion.

“I have lost confidence in my ability to walk the streets without being kidnapped,” Momodou Tall wrote from an unknown location. “After considering these options, I have made the decision to leave on my own terms.”

The government says it revoked Tal's student visa last March because he participated in "disruptive protests, disregarded university policies, and created a hostile environment for Jewish students," charges that eyewitnesses say are trumped up.

The Trump administration has attempted to deport noncitizens from the country for participating in university protests deemed anti-Semitic, sympathetic to Hamas, or for expressing Palestinian slogans denouncing Israel's war of genocide. Since March 8, Internal Security agents have arrested dozens of students who participated in demonstrations against the Israeli war of extermination, at various universities. Perhaps the most prominent of these students was the Palestinian student at Columbia University, Mahmoud Khalil, an immigrant residing in the United States, who was arrested in front of his American wife and sent to a deportation camp in Louisiana. The Turkish student, Rumeysa Oztuk, a doctoral student at Tufts University, in Massachusetts, was arrested last Tuesday, March 25, and was forcibly taken to Louisiana, in preparation for deportation because of her participation in an article in the university newspaper, in which she expressed her support for the Palestinian boycott movement.

Saudi Arabia condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem by extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on Wednesday.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation in the strongest terms of the Israeli Minister of National Security's storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation police, and the expulsion of worshippers from it."

She continued: "The Kingdom reiterates its condemnation of the continued blatant Israeli attacks on the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque."

The Ministry also expressed the Kingdom's condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces' targeting of a clinic affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, denouncing the Israeli occupation forces' continued targeting of UN and relief organizations and their workers.

In the statement, Saudi Arabia affirmed its categorical rejection of anything that would undermine the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its holy sites, emphasizing the need to protect UN and relief organizations and their staff.

It called on the international community to "put an end to the Israeli war machine, which disregards any humanitarian values, international laws, or norms, and to hold the Israeli occupation authorities accountable for all their violations."

She warned that "the international community's failure to deter such serious and ongoing violations will diminish the chances of achieving the desired peace, contribute to the decline in the credibility and legitimacy of international law, and negatively impact regional and international security and stability."

Earlier on Wednesday, Ben-Gvir stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem under heavy guard.

In a statement to Anadolu Agency, an official at the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Department, who declined to be named, said that the far-right extremist Ben Gvir stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque accompanied by more than 24 Israeli settlers.

Ben-Gvir's intention to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque today, just days before the Jewish Passover holiday, which begins on April 12 and lasts for 10 days, was not announced in advance.

This is the fifth time Ben-Gvir has stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, and the eighth time since he assumed his position as minister at the end of 2022.

The association explained that its crews also dealt with a 46-year-old citizen from Deheishe camp who was assaulted as a result of the ongoing raid, and he was transferred to the hospital.

The occupation forces stormed the Deheishe refugee camp from its southern entrance (Al-Nashash), arrested citizen Mustafa Atiya Al-Hasanat (26 years old), detained more than 20 citizens, and interrogated them in the field.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk condemned on Wednesday the recent Israeli military attack on a medical and humanitarian convoy in Rafah, southern Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of 15 humanitarian workers.

In a statement on his X account, Turk said, "I condemn the Israeli army's attack on a medical and humanitarian convoy on March 23, which resulted in the deaths of 15 medical and humanitarian workers in Gaza."

He added that finding the bodies of the martyrs in Rafah eight days later, buried next to their clearly marked destroyed vehicles, "is deeply disturbing and raises fundamental questions about the Israeli military's conduct during and after the incident."

The UN Commissioner called for the protection of medical personnel and humanitarian and emergency workers, in accordance with international humanitarian law.

Meanwhile, heavy machinery and bulldozers stormed the area, vandalized and burned homes, and destroyed the infrastructure.

The occupation forces continue their siege of Tulkarm camp, deploying throughout its neighborhoods, despite the fact that the majority of its residents have been forcibly displaced. This followed the complete destruction of the camp's infrastructure, and the sabotage, demolition, and burning of dozens of homes and facilities.

In the same context, the occupation forces set up several surprise military checkpoints in and around the city, stopped citizens' vehicles, and subjected them to inspection.

From time to time, the occupation forces set up military checkpoints on Nablus Street as part of a policy of restricting movement of citizens, especially after they closed sections of the street with earth mounds in both directions. At least 19 civilians, including nine children, were killed and others wounded in a new massacre perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against a clinic affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the northern Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on a UNRWA clinic housing displaced persons in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip. The raids resulted in the deaths of 19 civilians, including 9 children, the injury of dozens, and the outbreak of a fire in the building.

Videos from the clinic showed the mutilated and charred bodies of the martyrs, including children. One of the victims was an infant whose head had been severed from her body. Residents struggled to identify the victims. The bombing caused extensive damage to the building, with flames rising from it.

Two citizens were also killed and others wounded when the occupation forces bombed a house belonging to the Daragham family in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, while artillery shelled agricultural lands in the town of Al-Fakhari, east of Khan Yunis, in the south.

Two civilians were killed, one of them after being shot by an Israeli drone in the Musbah area, and the other in Khirbet al-Adas, north of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical and civil defense teams in Khan Yunis recovered the bodies of 12 martyrs, including children and women, from under the rubble of the Abdel Bari family home, which was targeted by the occupation forces. The bombing also targeted other homes belonging to the Al-Qaoud and Abu Talib families, near the Rafah garage in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that the death toll has risen to 41 as a result of Israeli airstrikes on various parts of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Wednesday.

In turn, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced on Wednesday a significant expansion of the military operation in Gaza, stating that large areas of the Strip are planned to be captured and incorporated into Israeli security zones.

This comes as dozens of besieged families have appealed to the international community to evacuate them from Khirbet al-Adas, north of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, as the Israeli military intensifies air and ground attacks targeting various locations across the Strip.

On the 16th day of the resumption of the war of extermination in Gaza, all bakeries in the southern Gaza Strip closed their doors due to a shortage of fuel and essential supplies, amid warnings that the Strip is entering a new phase of famine.

The UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food, Michael Fakhri, condemned Israel's starvation campaign against civilians in the Gaza Strip and urged states to exert pressure and impose sanctions on Israel to compel it to cease its practices that contravene international humanitarian law.

During the early hours of Tuesday morning, 10 civilians, including a journalist and his entire family, were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The Gaza Strip consumes 450 tons of flour daily, according to the Gaza Bakeries Association. Bakeries used to cover 50% of citizens' needs.

There are 140 bakeries operating in the Gaza Strip, including 70 automated bakeries. A large proportion of these were destroyed by Israeli occupation forces, particularly those in the northern Gaza Strip. Losses are estimated to be in the millions of dollars.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying forces have launched an aggression against the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 50,399 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 114,583 others. In response, Trump announced in mid-March that he had ordered the US military to launch a "major attack" on Houthi positions in Yemen, a new escalation in a series of growing tensions in the region.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club condemned statements made by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, which it viewed as an admission of systematic crimes against Palestinian prisoners.

On Monday, Ben-Gvir posted on his Twitter account the punitive measures he has taken against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

He wrote: "There are no possessions (for the prisoners), no canteens, showers for 15 minutes (instead of 8 hours for the section that houses dozens of prisoners), one hour for the yard (the break), no large refrigerators, no representation for the prisoners, no education, no dental treatment, no cosmetic treatments."

Commenting on this, Palestinian Prisoners Club spokesman Amjad al-Najjar said in a statement, "The recent statements by the fascist minister Ben-Gvir constitute a new admission of his crimes, all of which fall under the category of torture, which have led to the deaths of dozens of prisoners and detainees. They constitute sufficient evidence to bring him before international courts."

Al-Najjar added that Ben-Gvir's statement "is an explicit admission of the commission of organized and systematic crimes against prisoners, in addition to dozens of statements in which he incited against prisoners and ordered their killing, both before and after the genocide."

He continued, "The Israeli minister's continued boasting about the crimes being perpetrated against thousands of prisoners in full view of the world reflects the ongoing inability of the international human rights system, which has collapsed in the face of the ongoing genocide, one of the manifestations of which are the ongoing crimes against prisoners and detainees, which are escalating with the passage of time."

On more than one occasion, Ben-Gvir has boasted about his actions against prisoners, appearing in video clips while they are being abused and calling for their execution.

On February 24, he boasted about forcing Palestinian prisoners at gunpoint to kneel and spray-paint walls with phrases including "Arab Jerusalem," and posted a video documenting the incident while Israeli guards held their weapons pointed at them.

At the end of July 2024, Ben-Gvir said in a video clip circulated on social media: "Palestinian prisoners should be shot in the head instead of being given more food."

He affirmed his support for the bill proposed by his right-wing Otzma Yehudit party, which calls for the execution of Palestinian prisoners.

According to data published by the Palestinian Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, the number of prisoners in Israeli jails exceeds 9,500, including more than 350 children, 22 female prisoners, and 3,405 administrative detainees.

Administrative detention is a detention order issued by an Israeli military order, based on the pretext of a security threat, without indictment. It lasts for six months, subject to extension. The intelligence service presents a so-called secret file to the court, which the lawyer and/or the detainee are prohibited from reviewing.

According to the two organizations, prisoners "face organized and systematic crimes in Israeli occupation prisons, which have reached their peak since the beginning of the genocide, leading to the martyrdom of dozens of prisoners and detainees. The identities of 63 martyred prisoners and detainees have been announced, including 40 from Gaza, while many of the martyrs among the Gaza detainees remain subject to enforced disappearance."

Coinciding with the war of extermination in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of more than 940 Palestinians and the injury of nearly 7,000 others, according to official Palestinian data.

The Israeli Peace Now movement said that the Supreme Planning Council will discuss, on Wednesday, a plan to build 2,545 new settlement units in the Ma'ale Adumim and Beitar Illit settlements near occupied Jerusalem.

The rights movement said in a statement published on its website: "The Supreme Planning Council will discuss on Wednesday the construction of 2,545 new housing units in the settlements of Ma'ale Adumim and Beitar Illit."

On Saturday, the Israeli security cabinet approved the construction of a settlement road around occupied East Jerusalem.

The approved road will connect Palestinian towns but isolate them from the rest of the West Bank, separating Palestinian traffic from the main roads connecting Jerusalem to the Ma'ale Adumim settlement, restricting the use of these roads to Israelis.

Peace Now stated in its statement that the Higher Planning Council, which approves settlement plans, holds weekly meetings to advance plans for housing units in the settlements.

She added, warning: "This shift toward approving plans on a weekly basis not only legitimizes construction in the occupied territories, but also strengthens it."

She noted that "since the beginning of 2025, and including the plans expected to be approved next week, the council has advanced the construction of 14,392 housing units" in the settlements.

In June 2023, the Israeli government made a fundamental change to settlement planning procedures, eliminating the need for the Minister of Defense's approval at every stage of advancing construction plans in settlements, according to Peace Now.

The movement added: "Before this amendment, any progress in settlement construction plans required prior approval from the Minister of Defense, which led to the Supreme Planning Council meeting being scheduled approximately four times a year, with each session seeing the approval of thousands of units at once."

She continued: "In recent weeks, we have witnessed a change in the form of the council meeting approximately every two weeks, with several hundred housing units being approved in each session."

She stressed that "in this manner, the government seeks to normalize planning in the settlements and reduce the amount of public and international attention and criticism directed at them."

According to Palestinian reports, "the number of settlers in the West Bank reached approximately 770,000 by the end of 2024, distributed across 180 settlements and 256 outposts, including 138 outposts classified as pastoral and agricultural."

On July 20, 2024, the International Court of Justice ruled that "the continued presence of the State of Israel in the occupied Palestinian territory is illegal," stressing that Palestinians have "the right to self-determination" and that "Israeli settlements in the occupied territories must be evacuated."

The Lebanese army announced on Tuesday that it had come under fire from the Israeli army while removing earthen barriers erected by the latter in the town of Adaisseh in the Marjayoun district in the south of the country.

It explained via the "X" platform that this shooting occurred despite his coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to remove these earthen barriers.

On October 8, 2023, Israel launched an attack on Lebanon, which escalated into a full-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in more than 4,000 deaths and approximately 17,000 injuries, in addition to the displacement of approximately 1.4 million people.

Despite a ceasefire agreement in effect since November 27, 2024, Israel continues to target southern Lebanon under the pretext of attacking Hezbollah targets. Israel has committed 1,362 violations of the agreement, leaving at least 117 dead and 362 wounded, according to an Anadolu Agency tally based on official data.

Israel has reneged on its commitment to complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by February 18, contrary to the agreement. Instead, it has implemented a partial withdrawal and continues to occupy five major Lebanese hills, within the areas it occupied during the last war.

It has also recently begun establishing a border strip extending one or two kilometers inside Lebanese territory.

Footage documented settlers attacking a Palestinian family with stones while they were out for an Eid al-Fitr holiday north of Jericho in the West Bank.

This campaign comes within the framework of the ongoing policy pursued by the occupation to displace residents of the northern Jordan Valley and deprive them of the necessities of life, in an attempt to impose a new reality that serves settlement expansion.

The US Treasury Department announced on its website on Tuesday that the United States has issued new Iran-related sanctions targeting six entities and two individuals, according to Reuters news agency.

The sanctioned entities included Iran and companies based in the UAE and China.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich admitted that 2024 saw the highest number of Palestinian building demolitions ever in the West Bank.

"In order to win this battle, we must use additional strategic tools," he continued, referring to settlement expansion and the construction of new settlements, as he put it.

The occupation government claims that the Palestinian buildings are unlicensed.

The number of Palestinian dead journalists  has risen to 209 since the start of the war waged by Israel on October 7, 2023, according to what the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday.

The government office said in a statement: "The number of killed journalists has risen to 209 since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, following the announcement of the martyrdom of journalist Mohammed Saleh al-Bardawil, a broadcaster for the Voice of Al-Aqsa Radio."

The office condemned "Israel's targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists," and called on human rights organizations and journalistic bodies around the world to "condemn these systematic crimes against journalists in Gaza."

It held "Israel, the US administration, and countries complicit in the crime of genocide, such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, fully responsible for committing this brutal crime."

He called on the international community and international organizations to exert "effective pressure to stop the genocide and protect journalists and media professionals in Gaza."

On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to escalate the war on the Gaza Strip and implement US President Donald Trump's plan to displace Palestinians.

Four citizens were injured on Tuesday when settlers attacked two hikers in the Auja Spring, north of Jericho.

Local sources reported that settlers, under the protection of the occupation army, attacked citizens who were out for a picnic at the Auja Spring on the third day of Eid al-Fitr. They sprayed them with pepper spray and assaulted others, resulting in four citizens sustaining varying degrees of injuries and burns.

She added that the settlers took a herd of sheep with them and set them free to graze in the area, forcing the residents who had come for a walk to leave.

The Red Crescent Society explained that its crews in Jericho responded to a young man injured in a physical assault by settlers in the Auja Falls area. He was then transferred to the hospital, noting that the occupation army was refusing to release other injuries to the crews.

The Auja Spring has been the target of repeated attacks by settlers who have established several outposts in its vicinity over the past several years in an attempt to impose control over the area's land and waters and prevent residents from accessing them.

The US State Department on Monday blamed Hamas in response to a question about Israel's execution of 15 Palestinian medics and rescue workers who were exhumed from a mass grave in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

The 15 workers included eight from the Palestinian Red Crescent, five from the Civil Defense, and one UN staff member. Jonathan Whittall, head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Palestine, said evidence suggests that the first responders were shot dead by Israeli forces "one by one" and buried with ambulances and other vehicles.

"We bring them out in their uniforms and gloves. They were here to save lives. Instead, they ended up in a mass grave," Whittall said. "These ambulances were buried in the sand. There's a UN vehicle here, buried in the sand. It was buried by a bulldozer—an Israeli military bulldozer."

When asked about the UN statements at her press conference, US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce immediately blamed Hamas. She said, "I can tell you that Hamas has abused civilian infrastructure for far too long, cynically using it to protect itself. Hamas's actions have put humanitarian workers in the line of fire."

Asked whether the United States would assess the situation given the possibility of Israeli forces using American weapons, Bruce said, "Everything that happens in Gaza is because of Hamas. Every dynamic."

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, each body recovered had been hit by approximately 20 bullets. "The Israeli occupation forces executed the civil defense teams in a brutal manner," said Palestinian Red Crescent Society spokesman Mahmoud Basal.

The Israeli military admitted that its forces fired on ambulances in Rafah, but claimed it was a mistake. The Israeli military claimed that its forces killed Hamas militants during the incident, including a Hamas operative named Mohammed Amin al-Shoubaki. However, the Israeli military provided no evidence, and no other bodies were found at the scene.
