Escalation of Violence in Berlin Against Supporters of Gaza and Widespread Arrests During Pro-Palestinian Protests

The German capital, Berlin, witnessed an escalation in the use of force by police against demonstrators supporting the Palestinian cause, as a large number of participants were arrested during protests organized on Kurfürstendamm Street near Breitscheidplatz. These protests came in condemnation of the genocide and starvation campaign being carried out by Israel against the Gaza Strip, where hundreds of supporters of the Palestinian cause gathered to demand an end to military operations and the opening of humanitarian aid.

The demonstrators raised anti-Israel slogans and banged empty pots and pans to express the hunger crisis faced by the residents of Gaza due to the blockade on humanitarian aid. Shortly after the protest began, the police asked participants to disperse, but the protesters continued their chants, and some refused to leave, sitting on the ground in protest, which led to violent intervention by security forces who dispersed them and arrested several.

In a related context, another solidarity demonstration with Palestine took place in Wittenberg Square in Berlin, where demonstrators held signs reading "Stop the genocide in Gaza," "Send food to Gaza now," and "Stop the hunger in Gaza, and bring bread." They also raised other signs accusing Israel of being "terrorist" and "child killers," demanding an end to military operations and the opening of humanitarian crossings.

During this demonstration, the police arrested at least four protesters, while the situation showed continued tension in the city. Earlier on Saturday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll of civilians suffering from hunger and starvation had reached 1,422 martyrs, with more than 10,000 injured since the beginning of the aggression on May 27.

Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has been experiencing a genocide war waged by Israel with the support of the United States, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and judicial orders to cease operations. This war has left more than 209,000 Palestinians dead or injured, with over 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine claiming the lives of many innocents, especially children and women.

Former Israeli official: Tel Aviv is exhausted in Gaza and Hamas is reorganizing its ranks.

Former Israeli Official: Tel Aviv is Exhausted in Gaza and Hamas is Reorganizing

The former head of the Israeli Military Intelligence (Aman), Amos Yadlin, stated that Tel Aviv has become exhausted and isolated after failing to achieve its objectives in the Gaza Strip, considering that Hamas has effectively reorganized its ranks. This was mentioned in an article published on the website of Channel 12 in Israel.

Yadlin pointed out that Israel, nearly two years after the October 7, 2023 attack, is approaching another disaster that goes beyond military defeat, encompassing long-term political and strategic losses. He added that Hamas, which attacked settlements and military sites, killing and injuring Israelis, continues to strengthen and reorganize despite Israel's attempts to eliminate it.

He emphasized that the goals set by the Israeli government, such as eliminating Hamas, releasing prisoners, and ensuring the security of Gaza, have not been achieved, and that Israel no longer appears victorious but is increasingly retreating and fragmenting politically and militarily. He clarified that the international community is pointing fingers at Israel, and the issue of prisoners has become sidelined.

Regarding the American stance, Yadlin said that U.S. support for Israel has begun to wane, even as hostile camps against it are gaining strength, and global support is changing negatively, with increasing recognition of the State of Palestine, especially with the escalation of the war on Gaza, which has left hundreds of thousands dead and injured, leading to widespread displacement and famine.

Concerning prisoner exchange negotiations, he noted that Israel refuses to enter into direct negotiations, while Hamas is reorganizing its ranks and offering to release prisoners in exchange for ending the war, yet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists on impossible conditions, including disarming Palestinian factions and demanding the reoccupation of Gaza.

He mentioned that Hamas sees the international community, especially Europeans and friends in the West, opposing Israel and preparing to recognize a Palestinian state, which raises concerns for Israel, which believes the world is moving towards supporting unilateral initiatives for recognizing the Palestinian state, turning Israel into a "punching bag" in the face of this escalation.

Israel continues to target civilians in Gaza and destroy homes and humanitarian facilities.

Israel continues to target civilians in Gaza and destroy homes and humanitarian headquarters

Three Palestinians were killed and others injured early Sunday due to an Israeli bombardment that targeted the "Hope" school, which shelters displaced persons, and a building belonging to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. A medical source reported that the casualties resulted from the bombardment that hit the school located in the Japanese neighborhood in the west of the city, while eyewitnesses confirmed that the bombardment targeted the building belonging to the society, leading to a fire on the first floor of the building and serious injuries to staff members.

In an official statement, the Red Crescent Society announced that one of its staff members was martyred and three others were injured due to the targeting of its headquarters in Khan Younis by the occupation forces, which led to a fire in the building and partial destruction. The society confirmed that the targeting resulted in loss of life and injuries to several staff members, as Israeli military operations continue in the area.

In the context of the escalation, the Israeli army carried out destruction operations of Palestinian homes in various areas east of Khan Younis during the night hours, causing shrapnel to scatter and reach western areas of the city, resulting in injuries among the displaced who sought refuge in safe areas. The Israeli army also continued its operations of detonating and demolishing residential buildings and facilities in the area east of the Tuffah neighborhood in the northeastern part of Gaza City, according to eyewitnesses.

Since the start of the Israeli military operations on October 7, 2023, the campaign of genocide against the Gaza Strip has continued, as Israel tightened its siege and imposed harsh measures, including closing all crossings to humanitarian, relief, and medical aid since March 2. This has led to a famine outbreak, with indicators reaching "catastrophic" levels, as the humanitarian situation deteriorates unprecedentedly.

The Israeli operations since the beginning of the aggression have left more than 209,000 Palestinians dead or injured, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 9,000 missing, and hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, with the humanitarian crisis continuing to worsen. During this period, Palestinians received limited support due to the imposed siege, which increased the suffering of the civilian population in the sector.

Israeli protests demand the release of hostages held in Gaza.

Israeli Protests Demand Release of Hostages Held in Gaza

Thousands of Israelis organized massive protests in various cities, especially in Tel Aviv, demanding the immediate release of all hostages held in the Gaza Strip. The demonstrators raised banners and pictures showing the hostages, urging the Israeli government and world leaders to intervene urgently to end the suffering of those detained.

In the context of the protests, a promotional video was released showing young Evtar David, who was martyred in October 2023 during a Hamas attack, suffering from severe emaciation and being forced to dig "his own grave," in an attempt to increase pressure on the government to find a quick solution. His brother Eli said that Hamas uses the prisoners "as live starvation experiments."

The Forum of Families of Hostages and Missing Persons reported that about 60,000 people protested in Tel Aviv, demanding an end to the nightmare that has lasted for more than 666 days, and reaching a comprehensive agreement to return all 50 hostages and end the fighting. Sources confirmed that 50 hostages are still held, at least 20 of whom are alive, by Hamas and other Palestinian groups.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid called for an end to the war in Gaza, pointing out that the majority of the Israeli people no longer support the continuation of military operations, demanding a political decision that ensures the return of the hostages and halts the escalation. Lapid stated on the "X" platform that "Israel cannot wage a war without the support of the people, and it is time to end it."

In official statements, former Israeli Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot criticized the current government, considering that Netanyahu and his ministers are responsible for the failure in managing the war and poor planning, which led to a tragic situation, as he published videos showing Israeli prisoners in the grip of Hamas, which increased international and local pressure on the government to make urgent decisions.

Estimates indicate that indirect negotiation efforts with Hamas for the release of hostages have so far failed, amid significant military escalation by Israel in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the deaths of more than 60,000 Palestinians, mostly women, children, and the elderly, since the war began in October 2023, which erupted after a Hamas attack on Israeli areas that resulted in the deaths of more than 1,200 Israelis and the detention of 250 others in Gaza.

A massive international march in solidarity with Gaza in Sydney and calls for delivering aid.

Massive International March in Solidarity with Gaza in Sydney and Calls for Aid Delivery

Thousands of protesters gathered in Sydney, Australia, today, Sunday, in a massive march across the famous Harbour Bridge, to express their solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis due to the ongoing war for more than two years. Despite heavy rain, participants insisted on demonstrating, demanding an end to the violence and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged territory.

This march comes amid increasing international pressure on Israel, as France and Canada announced their recognition of the State of Palestine, while Britain confirmed its intention to follow the same step if Israel does not seriously address the humanitarian crisis and ceasefire. Israel described these plans as a reward for Hamas, which governs the territory, accusing it of carrying out attacks that led to the destruction of the area and many civilian casualties.

Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, participated in the march, expressing his support for international calls to end the war and deliver aid. Local authorities attempted last week to prevent the march from crossing the bridge, claiming it could pose security risks and disrupt transportation, but the state Supreme Court ruled to allow it to proceed.

The New South Wales Police deployed hundreds of officers in the area and urged protesters to remain peaceful, while Melbourne witnessed a similar protest march. This movement comes at a time when diplomatic pressures on Israel are increasing, with rising international calls for a ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors for the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from severe shortages of food and medicine.

In a related context, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese reaffirmed support for a two-state solution, expressing his discontent with Israel's refusal to allow aid and its role in civilian deaths, considering it indefensible and impossible to ignore, despite not officially recognizing the State of Palestine.

An Israeli researcher describes what is happening in Gaza as genocide.

Israeli Researcher Describes What is Happening in Gaza as Genocide

Accusations against the Israeli occupation of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip have escalated, while Israel continues to deny these charges. Increasing testimonies and studies confirm that military operations go beyond mere combat operations, systematically targeting the destruction of Palestinian society.

In an interview with Euronews, Professor Omar Bartov, an Israeli researcher specializing in Holocaust and genocide studies, confirmed that what is happening in Gaza amounts to genocide, emphasizing that statements made by the head of the occupying government, Benjamin Netanyahu, and several of his ministers, who described Palestinians as "human animals" and declared their intention to turn Gaza into "rubble," represent clear evidence of the intent to destroy the Palestinian people and make life in the enclave impossible.

Bartov pointed out that the military campaign launched by the occupation army since October 7, 2023, which included the destruction of the city of Rafah and leveling parts of it to the ground, and forcing residents to flee to coastal areas lacking shelter and services, aligns with the definition of genocide in the 1948 Convention. The "intent to destroy a national, ethnic, or religious group in whole or in part" is considered sufficient evidence of the crime.

In May 2024, the researcher changed his assessment of the military operations and began to describe them as genocide, based on increasing evidence indicating a premeditated intent by the occupation to carry out these acts. He confirmed that targeting hospitals, mosques, and cultural centers reflects a policy aimed at dismantling Palestinian society and preventing its reformation.

Despite the occupation's attempts to justify its operations as targeting "the eradication of Hamas," Bartov believes that the statements and actions of the occupation leaders show that the real goal is much broader, which is to destroy the Palestinians' ability to survive in Gaza. Estimates suggest that between 60,000 to 100,000 Palestinians have been killed, with another 140,000 injured, in addition to many chronic disease patients dying due to the collapse of the health system, as well as famine and lack of basic resources.

In a related context, the occupying government rejects the accusations against it before the International Court of Justice, after South Africa filed a lawsuit in December 2023 accusing the occupation of committing genocide against the Palestinians. However, Bartov believes that the length of international judicial procedures, which may last for decades as seen in Bosnia cases, does not exempt the international community from the responsibility to intervene immediately to stop these ongoing crimes.

Criticism of the agenda for the upcoming session of the occupying government and its focus on protecting Netanyahu.

Criticism of the Upcoming Occupation Government Session Agenda and Its Focus on Protecting Netanyahu

Israeli media criticized the focus of the upcoming government session on discussing threats to the life of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while there are still about fifty Israeli prisoners held by the resistance in Gaza, two of whom recently appeared in recordings in a state of severe weakness.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the session originally scheduled for Sunday will instead be held on Monday, coinciding with the fast of "Tisha B'Av," and will address the issue of "incitement and threats to the lives of Netanyahu and his family, and the need to enhance protection for them."

This issue was raised by ministers from the Likud party, including Yariv Levin, Orit Struck, Yoav Kish, and Miki Zohar, following the arrest of Tamar Gershoni (73 years old), who is accused of planning to assassinate Netanyahu using an RPG.

In contrast, opposition leader Yair Lapid criticized this approach, saying: "On the government's agenda on Monday, for the seventh consecutive time, is a discussion about threats to Netanyahu's life, even though he is the most guarded person in Israel." He added: "I suggest replacing this discussion with a discussion about the more realistic threats to the life of prisoner Aviv David."

Additionally, the government will discuss the issue of dismissing the government’s legal advisor, Gali Baharav-Miara, which has drawn criticism from occupation president Isaac Herzog, who said: "I read that the decision to postpone the discussion on her dismissal was aimed at not increasing division before Tisha B'Av, but there is no justification for increasing it afterward."

Herzog added: "This day should be a time for reflection and demonstrating restraint throughout the year." He continued: "I have previously announced my opposition to the dismissal of the advisor, and I affirm that those who threaten that there is a 'Tisha B'Av' for everything have learned nothing from historical lessons."

He also emphasized the importance of learning from the mistakes that led to a wide segment of the public feeling unheard in their suffering, especially with the passage of 20 years since the withdrawal from Gaza. He called for a pause before making decisions that could disrupt unity and the necessity to avoid hate speech and threats that could lead to violence, while also stressing the need for responsibility and maintaining common ground.

Malaysia calls for an international investigation into the killing of 1,300 Palestinians seeking aid in Gaza.

Malaysia Calls for International Investigation into the Killing of Over 1,300 Palestinians in Gaza

Malaysia has expressed its strong condemnation of the massacre that took place in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of over 1,300 Palestinians who were seeking humanitarian aid, considering these events to be a heinous crime that requires an urgent international investigation and accountability for those responsible.

In a statement issued by the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministry expressed its deep concern over the rising number of casualties due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, where the death toll has exceeded 60,000 Palestinians, and around 150,000 have been injured, while approximately 1.9 million Palestinians have been forced to flee due to the ongoing violence.

The statement confirmed that the tightened Israeli blockade significantly hinders the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, leading to a severe shortage of food, clean water, medical supplies, and fuel, which exacerbates the humanitarian crisis and threatens the lives of the civilian population, especially children.

The statement warned that these serious developments have led to heightened fears of an imminent famine, as the effects of hunger and malnutrition have become clearly visible among thousands of civilians, with the health condition of children deteriorating in particular, increasing the suffering of the population in the Strip.

In a related context, Malaysia welcomed the results of the international conference on Palestine held at the United Nations from July 28 to 30, emphasizing the importance of enhancing international support to end the suffering of the Palestinian people and achieve justice, calling on the international community to take immediate action to stop the aggression and lift the blockade on Gaza.

Israel is accused of committing genocide in Gaza since the beginning of the aggression in October, as its operations have left over 209,000 Palestinians dead or injured, with more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, amid fears of worsening the humanitarian crisis and famine that has claimed the lives of many civilians, especially children and women.

The Gaza famine in global newspapers.. "Fathers watching their children die of hunger"

The Gaza Famine Tops Global Headlines Amid Deteriorating Humanitarian Conditions

The famine crisis in the Gaza Strip is making headlines in global newspapers, as the suffering of the population facing severe food shortages continues amid the ongoing Israeli blockade and restrictions on aid entry. The Washington Post revealed that the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump announced $60 million in aid for Gaza, but only half of this amount was pledged, and only a small portion of it was disbursed, while the U.S. State Department announced its approval of $30 million in funding for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, despite international criticism.

In the context of the deteriorating humanitarian situation, The New York Times discussed the feasibility of air-dropping aid, as images from the aircraft crew showed that these operations are ineffective, with the quantities being insufficient, buildings suffering damage, in addition to the risks posed to the population. Aid experts confirmed that trucks can carry much larger quantities of food and deliver them more safely and effectively to the areas in need.

The British newspaper "The Guardian" highlighted the suffering of the population, noting that hunger has become deadly, and families are watching their children suffer from malnutrition due to Israeli restrictions on aid entry. One resident was quoted saying, "We can go two weeks without flour, and sometimes we only have one meal of lentils, and sometimes we find nothing to eat, so we drink water just to feel full." Residents appealed to the international community to intervene to save them from slow death, warning of a significant increase in human losses as the famine continues.

In the context of international criticism, writer Jonathan Freedland criticized Israel's policy of starving the residents of Gaza, considering that the horrific images and the movement of Western countries to recognize Palestine threaten its strategy based on defiance. While calls to end the war are increasing, Israel continues to ignore international demands, with the blockade and destruction in the sector ongoing.

In a related context, the British newspaper "Financial Times" considered that international recognition of the State of Palestine reflects the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, but if it is not translated into real actions to end the occupation, it may lose its meaning. The newspaper called on Britain and Europe to take a firmer stance by imposing sanctions on those who violate international law, especially in light of the ongoing famine and deepening occupation in Gaza.

Borrell criticizes Europe's complicity in Israeli occupation crimes.

Borrell Criticizes Europe's Complicity in Israeli Occupation Crimes

Josep Borrell, the former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, criticized Europe's silence regarding the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation army against Palestinians, considering that this silence has allowed the continuation of genocidal operations without the old continent taking any deterrent measures, which threatens its credibility and undermines the principles it claims to defend.

In an article published in the British newspaper The Guardian, Borrell confirmed that international courts will not issue their final rulings for years, despite the fact that the occupation government is committing genocide in Gaza, where civilians are subjected to starvation and destruction after the systematic destruction of their infrastructure. He pointed out that settlers and the occupation army continue their grave and repeated violations of international law and international humanitarian law in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which constitutes a flagrant violation of human rights and international legitimacy decisions.

Borrell explained that those who do not act to stop this genocide and violations, despite having the ability to do so, are indirectly participating in the responsibility for it and are complicit in the crimes of the occupation. He emphasized that the European Union has powerful tools it can use to influence the occupation government, as it is its largest trading partner, a key partner in investment and trade exchange, in addition to being one of its main arms suppliers.

He noted that the partnership agreement between the European Union and the occupation grants the latter many privileges, but its second article stipulates respect for international law and fundamental human rights, making non-compliance with it a serious violation of this agreement, harming the EU's geopolitical standing at both the regional and international levels. He confirmed that the EU's continued failure to suspend the agreement, despite Israel's violations, tarnishes the continent's reputation and undermines the multilateral system it is supposed to defend.

Borrell also pointed out that the European Union continues to ship weapons to Israel, despite the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza, and its refusal to ban imports from illegal settlements despite decisions from the International Court of Justice. He indicated that the failure to impose sanctions on Israeli ministers and leaders who make genocidal statements, and the failure to prevent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from using European airspace despite the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court, reflects clear complicity with the crimes of the occupation.

Jewish voters in New York prefer Mamdani over the other candidates for mayor.

New York State Assembly member Zahran Mamdani is leading by 17 points among Jewish voters in the upcoming New York City mayoral race, according to recently published polls.

The poll conducted by "Zenith Research Company" and the "Public Advance Solutions" Foundation showed that Mamdani's support among Jewish voters surpassed all other candidates, reflecting a complex realignment following his decisive victory over former Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary.

New York City is home to the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, and political analysts have long considered this demographic crucial in mayoral races.

Mamdani's support among Jewish voters comes despite repeated accusations from opponents and some community leaders that his criticism of Israel represents anti-Semitism.

His performance indicates a growing acceptance among segments of Jewish voters—particularly younger and less religious voters—of candidates who hold critical views of Israeli policy, which may signal a shift in the priorities of one of the city's most influential voting blocs.

The poll conducted by Zenith Research and Public Advance Solutions included 1,453 New York City residents between July 16 and 24. Among Jewish participants likely to vote in the mayoral election in November, 43% supported Mamdani, compared to 26% for Cuomo, his closest competitor who is now running as an independent after losing in the Democratic primary.

Despite his outspoken criticism of Israel and refusal to disavow phrases associated with Palestinian activism, Mamdani outperformed pro-Israel candidates, including Mayor Eric Adams—who chose to run for re-election as an independent before the Democratic primary—and Republican Curtis Sliwa, among both Jewish and non-Jewish voters.

Mamdani's strong performance follows his victory in the Democratic primary, where he received 56% of the total citywide vote, while Cuomo trailed with 44%. Rabbi Shimon Hecht of the Bnei Yaakov congregation in Brooklyn said last month after the Democratic primary in a statement to Newsweek: "I think, as is the case in every election that stirs up unrest, it serves as a wake-up call for people... I firmly believe that [Mamdani] will not be elected our next mayor, but it will take a lot of unity among Jews and others who care about these issues. We need to unite."

Ayana Leung Kanour, a 35-year-old Jewish waitress in Brooklyn who supported Mamdani, told the same magazine: "The primary elections are New Yorkers, many of whom are Jewish, saying we care about providing affordable prices for the city more than stirring division... Many of us feel deeply offended by the use of our history as a weapon against us... Jews around the world have legitimate concerns for their safety, but Jews in New York are generally safe." Zahran Mamdani stated in a statement following his primary victory: "I am humbled by the support of over 545,000 New Yorkers in last week's primary. This is just the beginning of our expanding coalition to make New York City accessible to all. We will achieve this together."

The general election for the New York City mayoral position is scheduled for November 4, 2025.

Both Cuomo and Adams could influence the final outcome if they continue in the race, while Sliwa (the Republican candidate) hopes for a surprising, albeit slim, victory amid fierce competition.

Jewish New Yorkers support Zahran Mamdani more than any other candidate for mayor, but they strongly disagree among themselves about how his election (as mayor) would affect them, according to a new poll conducted by a pro-Israel nonprofit organization.

Mamdani has the highest percentage of Jewish voters at 37%, while the remainder is divided among his competitors, Mayor Eric Adams (25%), former Governor Andrew Cuomo (21%), and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa (14%), according to the poll conducted by the New York Solidarity Network and carried out by the GQR firm close to Israel.

The results largely align with a poll conducted by Zenith Research and Public Advance Solutions earlier this week, which showed Cuomo leading Adams, but still indicated a significant lead for Mamdani without a majority of Jewish support.

Among the 800 people surveyed, 74% expressed concern about anti-Semitism. However, they disagreed on the source of this threat—about half said they believe Mamdani is anti-Semitic, while nearly all of his Jewish supporters opposed this view.

Witkoff visited Gaza at an event organized by the Israeli army for propaganda purposes.

Steve Witkoff, the U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy for peace and war, made a brief visit to the Gaza Strip on Friday and visited a distribution site for aid run by the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation GHF" under the control of the occupying army and American mercenaries amid the worsening hunger crisis in the region.

More than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza over the past two months while trying to obtain aid, leading to increased international pressure on Israel to alleviate the humanitarian situation.

Witkoff posted a picture on social media of himself and Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, at an aid site overseen by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, or G.H.F. This Israel-backed group, managed by American security contractors and facing severe criticism, has controlled a large part of the aid distribution system in Gaza since May.

Witkoff stated in a post on X: "We spent over five hours inside Gaza - clarifying the facts on the ground, assessing the conditions, and meeting with @GHFUpdates and other agencies." The purpose of the visit was to give the President of the United States (@POTUS) a clear understanding of the humanitarian situation and to help devise a plan to deliver food and medical aid to the residents of Gaza, while Huckabee, known for his blind support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that he and Witkoff received a briefing from the Israeli army and spoke to "people on the ground." It was not immediately clear who he meant.

The Netanyahu government and the Trump administration claim that Hamas is stealing aid, but Israeli military officials recently confirmed to The New York Times that the army has found no evidence that Hamas systematically stole aid from the United Nations, which has provided most of the assistance to Gaza since the war began there nearly two years ago.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces fired on several occasions at crowds of desperate Palestinians as they approached new aid centers in search of food. The Israeli occupation army has repeatedly stated that its forces fired "warning shots" when people approached them in a threatening manner.

Hamas considered Witkoff's visit, along with Huckabee's, who is close to Netanyahu, to Gaza as nothing more than a "publicity stunt" amid global outrage over the Israeli starvation policy supported by the Trump administration.

As anticipated by Hamas official Ezzat al-Rishq (on social media), Witkoff saw in Gaza only what the occupying authorities wanted him to see.

In an unusual break with Israeli leaders, Trump acknowledged this week the existence of famine in Gaza after largely distorting the subject, stating that there is an urgent need for more food, but in other remarks, he showed that his relationship with Netanyahu is solid and will not change.

The United Nations Office of Human Rights announced that at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while seeking food in Gaza since May 27. This includes 859 people killed in areas surrounding G.H.F. sites and 514 others on the roads used by aid trucks.

It added that the Israeli army is responsible for the deaths of most of the individuals.

While the Human Rights Office acknowledged the presence of "other armed elements" in the same areas where the killings occurred, it stated that it has no knowledge of their involvement in acts of violence.

Israeli officials claimed that G.H.F. would largely replace the UN-led aid system, but the group has only managed four distribution sites, mostly in southern Gaza. Earlier in the war, hundreds of aid distribution points were active under the UN-led system.

However, the UN and other international organizations have provided some aid since the humanitarian relief foundation began its operations, bringing supplies by truck to both northern and southern Gaza.

But these efforts have also turned into utter chaos. Most trucks have failed to reach their destinations in Gaza in recent weeks, as they were intercepted by the hungry on their way, often just minutes after entering the region, and seized any aid they could get.

Eyewitnesses reported horrific scenes near the trucks, including people trampling over others and threatening each other with knives.

One UN official who toured Gaza in recent days described a worsening situation, especially for children. Ted Chaiban, UNICEF's Deputy Executive Director, told the newspaper on Friday, after

Calls for Participation in Massive Demonstrations in Tel Aviv Demanding the Release of Detained Prisoners

The families of prisoners held in the Gaza Strip have called for participation in a massive demonstration to be held on Saturday evening in Tel Aviv, aimed at pressuring the Israeli authorities to release their detained sons.

In a related context, Nimrod Cohen, the father of a soldier captured in Gaza, confirmed that the Israeli occupation's stance is not neutral, pointing out that Hamas is not seeking to reach a genuine exchange deal and does not want to end the crisis peacefully.

In another context, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff visited the area and informed the families that the United States and Israel are working on a joint plan to return all detained prisoners, emphasizing that efforts are ongoing to achieve this goal.

The families expressed their hope that the release of the prisoners would be the fundamental condition for achieving any victory or revival in Tel Aviv, asserting that the liberation of all detainees from the Gaza Strip is the key to peace and stability in the region.

In their statements, they affirmed that "there is no victory or revival for Tel Aviv without the return of all detainees from the Gaza Strip," emphasizing the importance of unity and solidarity in addressing this urgent humanitarian issue.

The death toll from the occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip rises to 60,430 dead

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today, Saturday, that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 60,430, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.

It added that the number of injuries has risen to 148,722 since the onset of the aggression, while several victims remain under the rubble, and rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.

It indicated that 98 dead (15 of whom were retrieved) and 1,079 injured individuals have arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, while the total number of dead and injuries since March 18, following the occupation's breach of the ceasefire agreement, has reached 9,246 dead and 36,681 injured.

It clarified that the number of dead from aid workers who reached hospitals in the past 24 hours is 39 dead and 849 injuries, bringing the total number of dead from those who earn a living and reached hospitals to 1,422, and the injuries to 10,067.

It pointed out that there are still a number of victims under the rubble and in the streets, and rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.

A British surgeon describes the situation in Gaza as horrific and confirms that the famine is intentional.

British Surgeon Describes Conditions in Gaza as Horrific and Confirms That Famine is Deliberate

British surgeon Graeme Groom, who returned from a volunteer mission in the Gaza Strip, shared his testimony about the horrific humanitarian conditions that the residents are experiencing, especially the children who are forced to sleep with their stomachs filled with water and salt due to the ongoing blockade and the prevention of food and medicine from entering.

Groom, who worked with a medical team affiliated with the British organizations "Islamic Relief" and "Ideal," pointed out that the famine is not natural but deliberate, leading to the deaths of dozens of infants and the deterioration of the conditions of injured civilians, with the crossings remaining closed since March 2, 2025, which has significantly exacerbated the food crisis.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the number of martyrs due to hunger and malnutrition reached 154 Palestinians by Wednesday, including 89 children, amid a severe shortage of food and medicine.

Groom explained that hunger does not only affect the patients but also extends to the medical staff, citing his Palestinian colleague, anesthesiologist Nizar Abu Daqa, who told him that his family cannot find anything to eat, and that his six children resorted to drinking water and licking salt to be able to sleep, after he bought 8 kilograms of flour for 300 dollars, which is all he has.

He confirmed that hunger hinders the recovery of the injured and increases the likelihood of infection and death, leaving lasting health and developmental effects on children, as medical clinics diagnose 12 cases of acute malnutrition among children daily, while mothers suffer from physical weakness that prevents them from breastfeeding their children.

In a related context, American doctor Ambreen Salimi, who works with the "Bayt Al-Mal" organization, stated that the lack of food and medicine forced her to perform early cesarean sections for Palestinian women suffering from serious complications, noting that many children are born small and prematurely.

Groom also spoke about the young Palestinian Muhammad Hameem, who sent him video clips documenting the occupation army shooting at civilians while they were waiting for aid near the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," which operates under American-Israeli coordination, where the clips show the sounds of gunfire and the blood of martyrs, amid an organized campaign to suppress Palestinians during their attempts to obtain food.

Palestinians confirmed that the distribution of aid through this dubious foundation aims to gather the hungry and pressure them to force them to leave their land, paving the way for the implementation of a forced displacement project under the guise of "humanitarian." Since the start of this mechanism on May 27 until Friday, the Ministry of Health recorded 1,330 martyrs and more than 8,818 injuries among those waiting for aid.

In a call to world leaders, the British surgeon stated that what is happening in Gaza is barbarism that dates back to the Middle Ages, demanding an immediate halt to the bombing and allowing food to enter, warning of a humanitarian catastrophe unfolding day by day before the eyes of the world.

Le Monde Reveals Unprecedented Pressures on the International Criminal Court to Protect Israel

The French newspaper Le Monde revealed that the International Criminal Court has faced unprecedented pressures and threats over the past year, aimed at preventing the issuance or execution of arrest warrants against senior Israeli officials, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The investigation clarified that these pressures included imposing sanctions on four judges and Prosecutor Karim Khan, amid political and intelligence maneuvers led by Washington, aimed at thwarting any attempt to hold Israel accountable for potential crimes in the Palestinian territories.

British lawyer Andrew Cayley, responsible for the Palestinian file at the court, stated that he experienced the worst months of his life, receiving direct threats that he was an "enemy of Israel," along with warnings not to cooperate with the court following Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. elections, which prompted him to resign and return to Britain out of fear of potential U.S. sanctions. Pressures on Prosecutor Karim Khan also increased after he announced in March 2024 his intention to bring charges against Netanyahu and Gallant for committing war crimes.

In response, Israel rallied its allies against the court, and Khan received an angry call from then British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, who threatened that Britain would withdraw from the Rome Statute if Khan continued his pursuit. According to the investigation, Western pressures continued through American and European officials, as Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, and several European officials contacted Khan to dissuade him from his decision, accusing him of undermining peace and threatening the lives of detained Israelis.

The United States attempted to activate the "complementarity" clause to enhance cooperation between Israel and national courts, but a Dutch report released in July 2024 indicated that the court had become a target for espionage and disruptive influence from several countries, particularly the United States and Israel. Khan's relationship with one of his American advisors also became strained, especially as suspicions grew regarding external influence on some advisors, leading to a deterioration of trust between him and his aides at a sensitive stage of the Palestinian case.

In May 2024, a meeting took place in The Hague between Karim Khan and Israeli lawyer Nicholas Kaufman, who suggested to Khan changing the classification of the arrest warrant for Netanyahu from "secret" to "top secret" to allow Israel to officially access it, urging him to withdraw the warrants, warning that continuing could lead to his personal destruction and the destruction of the court. Subsequently, The Wall Street Journal published a report accusing Khan of sexual assault against an employee, which he denied, but the court's president requested Khan to temporarily step down, leading to the suspension of his work.

His deputies took over the management of the Palestinian file, amid fears that the file would remain stagnant due to American pressures, and that investigations into Khan's conduct were referred to the United Nations, with results expected in September, and if his violations were confirmed, the issue of his dismissal could be put to a vote. Leaks indicate that the West is considering appointing a woman from a relatively weak country to take the position, aiming to maintain maneuvering room and prevent the issuance of additional arrest warrants against Israeli officials.

A secret report exposes the crimes of the occupation in Gaza and ongoing international neglect.

A Secret Report Exposes Occupation Crimes in Gaza and Ongoing International Neglect

The British site "Declassified" revealed a secret internal report discussing the crimes of the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, confirming that the occupation army is carrying out bombing operations on hospitals and ambulances, in a blatant violation of the Geneva Conventions, something that did not even occur during World War II.

The report indicates that among the documented violations are the targeting of healthcare facilities and direct killings of Palestinians while they wait to receive humanitarian aid, despite the public statements from the British government affirming its cooperation with the occupation in military and security fields.

Despite these admissions, military relations between Britain and "Israel" continue, with an Israeli officer of the rank of colonel graduating from a British military academy, and the Israeli Air Force commander visiting a British airbase, while the British Air Force continues to conduct reconnaissance flights over Gaza since 2023.

Moreover, exports of components for the F-35 fighter jet to the occupation continue through third countries, amid official British silence regarding the documented violations and complete disregard for the crimes committed within British military institutions themselves.

In the context of field developments, the occupation has renounced the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas since the beginning of March, which began on January 19, and has resumed its aggression intensively, rejecting all international initiatives to halt the escalation.

Amid warnings from the United Nations and Palestinians of an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, the occupation continues to close the crossings of the Gaza Strip to humanitarian and medical aid, using starvation as a means of pressure against the Palestinians.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupation has been waging a campaign of genocide against Gaza, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop the aggression.

This war, directly supported by the United States, has resulted in the death and injury of more than 204,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and hundreds of missing persons, amid a famine that has led to the death of many Palestinians.

Weitkov's Visit to Gaza Misleads the World About Famine.. Where Are the 100 Million Meals?

Palestinians in Gaza criticized the visit of U.S. envoy Steve Weitkov to a aid distribution center in Rafah, asserting that it was an attempt to mislead global public opinion about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the sector. Palestinian Mohammed Al-Najjar, a displaced person in the Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, expressed his discontent with the scene that emerged during the visit, describing it as a "farce" aimed at absolving the Israeli occupation of the blood of the martyrs who fell to the bullets of the occupation forces at the gates of aid centers.

Al-Najjar pointed out that a sign placed by the American center claimed to distribute 100 million meals to the displaced, but he confirmed that this was merely American and Israeli misinformation, sponsored by Weitkov and Netanyahu, aimed at alleviating international anger towards what is happening in Gaza. He said: "I am a displaced person close to the distribution center, and I went twice under the sound of bullets to try to obtain aid, and upon my arrival, I found the supplies had run out. Did they really distribute a hundred million meals?"

In a related context, the head of the Euro-Mediterranean Observatory, Rami Abdu, described Weitkov's visit as a fabricated scene aimed at a promotional display, directly accusing the American envoy of being a "war criminal." Abdu mentioned on the X platform that Weitkov attended a camp that simulates Nazi concentration camps, where groups of civilians from an area controlled by Yasser Abu Shabab's gangs were brought in to produce a promotional display for aid distribution, considering Weitkov's descent to this level as disgusting.

For his part, Munir Al-Barsh, the director general of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, confirmed that Weitkov's visit is not a rescue but a filmed complicity, as behind the cameras thousands of residents suffer from hunger, while a cold play is presented to beautify the crime. He said on Facebook: "Aid is behind the wires, and death is everywhere, and anyone who sees this line of hungry people and remains silent is an accomplice in the crime."

In a related context, Hamas political bureau member Ezzat Al-Rashq considered Weitkov's visit merely a promotional display aimed at containing the rising anger from the American-Israeli partnership in starving Gaza. He pointed out that Weitkov sees only what the occupation wants him to see, witnessing the tragedy through misleading Israeli eyes, and that he will not address the practices of the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," which prepares the stage for the Israeli war machine.

Al-Rashq also confirmed that the White House's acknowledgment of the "famine in Gaza" after denying it, without condemning the occupation, is an absolution of the perpetrator and provides a political cover for the continuation of the tragedy. On social media, Palestinians condemned the visit, considering it a cover for Israeli starvation policies and support for the killing at the gates of distribution centers that have become "death traps."

Injury of Palestinians by occupation bullets in confrontations in the West Bank

Escalation of confrontations and Israeli arrests in the West Bank and assaults on Palestinians

Two Palestinians were injured on Friday evening by Israeli occupation forces during confrontations that erupted in various areas of the West Bank, with one injured in the town of Beit Daqou northwest of occupied Jerusalem, and the other in the town of Deir Jarir east of Ramallah. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams dealt with the injury of a 21-year-old young man who was shot with live ammunition in his leg, after being shot by occupation forces in Beit Daqou, where confrontations erupted following the incursion of Israeli vehicles into the town and the firing of tear gas and live ammunition at the demonstrators.

In Deir Jarir, settlers stormed the western entrance of the town last night and set fire to agricultural lands on its outskirts, leading to confrontations with the locals who resisted the attack. The occupation forces used live ammunition and tear gas to disperse the demonstrators, resulting in minor injuries to a young man. This assault comes a day after a similar incursion in the town, which included assaults on locals and the burning of private property, as part of the escalation of the occupation's military operations in the area.

Simultaneously, occupation forces stormed the Kafr Aqab area north of Jerusalem, amid heavy military presence and the hovering of reconnaissance aircraft in the skies, continuing their operations in the neighboring city of Al-Bireh, including the Al-Balou area, through raids on Palestinian homes and arrests of several citizens, including Palestinians from various areas of the West Bank.

In the city of Tamoun south of Tubas, occupation forces raided homes in the Al-Rafid area and arrested four Palestinians, including the wife of one of the wanted individuals, in an attempt to pressure their families to surrender. They also carried out raids and arrests in Nablus, where occupation forces stormed the eastern and central areas of the city and arrested a Palestinian from the Al-Tawoun neighborhood after raiding one of the residential buildings, in addition to arresting a Palestinian boy from his home in Qalqilya in the northern West Bank.

In Hebron, occupation forces continued their operations, storming the Wadi Al-Hariya neighborhood and began searching citizens' homes, as well as raiding several homes in the town of Samu' south of the governorate. These assaults come amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli army and settlers have killed more than a thousand Palestinians since the beginning of the escalation, injured about seven thousand others, and arrested more than 18 thousand Palestinians, according to official Palestinian data.

Medical source: 12 Palestinians killed in an occupation airstrike early Saturday targeting aid seekers in Gaza.

New massacre in Gaza claims the lives of 12 civilians while waiting for aid

A medical source in the Gaza Strip reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out an airstrike targeting a group of civilians while they were waiting to receive humanitarian aid near the Netzarim junction, resulting in the death of 12 people and serious injuries to others.

The martyrs were transported to the hospital after sustaining direct injuries, amidst chaos and shock that prevailed in the area, especially since the region was crowded with civilians who were waiting for aid under difficult humanitarian conditions.

The Netzarim junction is considered one of the main areas through which humanitarian aid passes into the Gaza Strip, and the region has witnessed several similar incidents since the beginning of the military escalation, raising widespread international condemnation and outrage over the targeting of civilians and aid seekers.

Israeli military operations continue in the Gaza Strip, amid a deterioration of humanitarian conditions, with a severe shortage of food and medicine, and warnings from human rights organizations of an impending humanitarian disaster in the region.

Time magazine encapsulates the tragedy of Gaza in a cover... "The hungry await food while the world looks on" - Arabi21

Time Magazine Highlights the Tragedy of Gaza on Its Cover Amid Escalating Humanitarian Crisis

The famous American magazine "Time" chose a photo taken by Anadolu Agency photographer Ali Jadallah to be the cover of its weekly issue, with a prominent title "The Tragedy of Gaza," referring to the catastrophic humanitarian situation faced by more than two million Palestinians trapped in the enclave. Images of famine in Gaza dominate the pages of global newspapers, documenting the ongoing humanitarian crisis since October 7, 2023, as a result of the Israeli aggression and the tightened blockade.

The American newspaper "Politico" published a photo of its correspondent Ahmed Al-Areeni showing crowds of Palestinians carrying empty containers behind barriers, in a scene that expresses human despair. The British network "BBC" also displayed a photo of a Palestinian father carrying the body of his child who died of hunger, alongside an image of a child holding a bag of flour, showing signs of need and defeat on his face.

In a report by the British newspaper "Daily Mirror" titled "The Gaza Catastrophe," a photo was published of women and children crying while holding empty food containers waiting for aid. Other European media outlets, such as the Spanish "El País," "The Guardian," and "Financial Times," showcased a series of images documenting deprivation and famine in the neighborhoods of Gaza, especially in the north and displacement camps.

In a related context, the United Nations warned on July 27 that a third of Gaza's population had not eaten for days, with the spread of malnutrition and diseases due to the closure of crossings since last March. The organization confirmed that the enclave needs 600 trucks daily to supply the population, while Israel is accused of facilitating the theft of aid and protecting the chaos surrounding it. Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, more than 208,000 Palestinians have been martyred and injured, with over 9,000 missing under the rubble, amid the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of families.

This humanitarian catastrophe comes amid absolute American support for the Israeli occupation and international complicity that has allowed the continuation of massacres and starvation, in a scene reminiscent of historical atrocities not witnessed by the world for decades. The lenses of cameras become living witnesses to the crime of the century, and a warning bell ringing in the consciences of the world to take urgent action to save what can be saved in Gaza.

The Continuation of Israeli Massacres in Gaza and the Destruction of Families and Neighborhoods

The Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out their aggressive operations in the Gaza Strip, where attacks have repeatedly led to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of Palestinians, amidst a clear escalation in the pace of bombing and destruction targeting residential and civilian areas directly.

In the latest toll, 17 Palestinians were martyred, including an entire family, and others were injured in airstrikes targeting various areas of the Strip, as part of a genocide campaign that has been ongoing for more than 21 months, according to Palestinian medical sources.

The attacks focused on homes, displacement tents, and civilian gatherings in the cities of Gaza and the southern and central regions of the Strip, directly targeting areas where civilians have sought refuge, resulting in heavy human and material losses.

In a new development, five Palestinians waiting for American aid were martyred, and others were injured due to Israeli gunfire targeting gatherings in various areas, including near distribution centers on Al-Tina Street south of Khan Younis, and the "Netzarim" axis in the central region.

Earlier attacks had resulted in the deaths of 12 Palestinians in scattered assaults on the Strip, where homes, displacement tents, and residential neighborhoods were randomly targeted.

In the central region of the Strip, the occupation army killed the Al-Qurinaawi family, consisting of five members, including a man, his wife, and their three children, after targeting their home in the town of Al-Zawayda in the southern Strip, reflecting the escalation of random killings and systematic destruction.

A Palestinian was also martyred and others were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted a gathering of civilians in the same town, while other areas witnessed direct targeting of displacement tents, where a mother and her daughter were martyred during the targeting of a displacement tent near the "Asda'a Prison" gate west of Khan Younis.

In the northern Strip, several Palestinians were injured due to Israeli bombing targeting an apartment belonging to the Al-Yazji family near Al-Aidiya Street, in a clear attempt to expand the scope of targeting and destruction.

In the southern Strip, three Palestinians were martyred and others were injured during attacks carried out by occupation aircraft on displacement tents near the industrial intersection north of Khan Younis, where operations focused on areas where civilians and displaced persons gather.

In Rafah, a Palestinian was martyred and 25 others were injured due to gunfire from the occupation army targeting those waiting for aid near a center belonging to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, west of the city, in a serious escalation that directly threatens the lives of civilians.

In the northern Strip, several Palestinians were injured due to bombing targeting an apartment belonging to the Al-Yazji family, reflecting the continuation of random bombing operations that disregard civilian lives and systematically destroy infrastructure.

Reports confirm that the occupying state, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 2023, including killing, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and judicial orders to stop the aggression.

These destructive operations have left more than 208,000 Palestinians among martyrs and injured, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 9,000 missing persons, and hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals, with the situation of famine deteriorating dangerously, leading to the deaths of many civilians.

British doctor: Water and salt are the sustenance of the children of Gaza

British Doctor: Children in Gaza Are Forced to Drink Water and Salt Due to Famine and Health Deterioration

British surgeon Graeme Groom, returning from a volunteer mission in the Gaza Strip, stated that children there are trying to sleep with their stomachs filled with water and salt, amid a severe humanitarian crisis caused by Israel through the closure of crossings and the prevention of food and medical aid since March 2, 2025. He explained that the famine has led to the death of dozens of infants and the deterioration of the health of the injured, with ongoing malnutrition threatening the lives of many.

According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the number of deaths from famine and malnutrition reached about 154 Palestinians, including 89 children, as of Wednesday, since the beginning of the blockade in October 2023. Groom pointed out that hunger directly affects the injured and hinders their recovery, in addition to increasing infection rates and the risk of death, emphasizing that the crisis is not natural but fabricated.

On May 27, Groom visited a clinic specializing in malnutrition, where a pediatrician informed him of the death of 60 infants due to hunger since the start of the blockade, some of whom suffer from lactose intolerance, and there was no special milk for them. He added that 12 children are diagnosed daily with acute malnutrition, and some mothers are suffering from hunger to the extent that it affects their ability to breastfeed their children.

He also noted that the famine has affected health sector workers, as anesthesiologist Nizar Abu Daqa said that his family could not find food, and his six children filled their stomachs with water and salt to be able to sleep. He mentioned that the price of flour has risen significantly, as he bought 8 kilograms for 300 dollars, an amount beyond his purchasing ability, which is enough for them for only a few days.

Groom spoke about the case of Palestinian youth Mohammed Hameem, who sent clips showing gunfire on civilians waiting for aid, with bodies and blood present, warning that malnutrition leaves lasting health and developmental effects on children. He explained that Israel has been implementing a plan to distribute aid through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, supported by Israel and the U.S., which Palestinians see as an attempt to force the population into displacement and reoccupy Gaza.

Since the start of this mechanism, more than 1,330 martyrs and 8,818 injured have reached hospitals as a result of gunfire on those waiting for aid, according to the Ministry of Health. Groom called on the international community to intervene, emphasizing that what is happening in Gaza is a barbaric act that must be stopped, and there is an urgent need to allow food and humanitarian aid to enter.

Groom works as part of a volunteer medical team affiliated with the Islamic Relief and Ideals organizations, which have been implementing medical programs since December 2023, including performing surgeries and providing immediate treatment for the injured, in addition to supplying hospitals with essential medical supplies. The two organizations are launching awareness campaigns to raise funds and support the Palestinian health system amid the ongoing blockade.

UNICEF describes the child mortality rate in Gaza as "unprecedented."

UNICEF describes the child mortality rate in Gaza as unprecedented and calls for urgent intervention

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) confirmed that the child mortality rate in the Gaza Strip has reached unprecedented levels due to famine and the ongoing deterioration of humanitarian conditions since the beginning of the aggression against the strip on October 7, 2023.

In a media briefing delivered by the organization's Deputy Executive Director, Ted Chaiban, during his recent visit to the region, he noted that children in Gaza are showing clear signs of hunger and suffering on their faces, and that the choices made now will determine the fate of tens of thousands of them, either to survive or to die.

Chaiban stated that "more than 18,000 children have been martyred since the beginning of the war," warning that Gaza is now facing the threat of famine, with one in three people going days without food, and that the rate of acute malnutrition has exceeded the global threshold, reaching 16.5 percent.

He added that the situation requires urgent intervention, by allowing at least 500 trucks daily into the strip through all routes, to provide the necessary humanitarian and commercial aid to save lives and alleviate suffering.

The UN official emphasized that the humanitarian situation in Gaza requires an urgent response from the international community, especially with the ongoing aggression and worsening humanitarian crisis, stressing that current choices will decisively determine the future of children in the strip.

A survey reveals a significant change in the map of Israeli parties

A New Survey Reveals Significant Changes in the Israeli Political Landscape

The results of an opinion poll conducted by Maariv newspaper in collaboration with the "Lazar Research Center" indicate that the "Blue and White" party continues to decline, and its leader Benny Gantz is no longer in the running for parliamentary seats. The poll indicated that the ruling coalition retains 49 seats, while the opposition secures 61 seats, reflecting a delicate balance in the Israeli political landscape.

The survey was conducted on July 30 and 31, with the participation of 511 individuals representing a representative sample of the adult population, with a margin of error of 4.4 percent. The results showed that the distribution of seats would be as follows: the Likud party receives 25 seats, a new party led by Naftali Bennett gets 23, while the Democratic party secures 10 seats. The Yisrael Beiteinu and Shas parties will each receive 9 seats, with the "United Torah Judaism" party following with seats, while a new party led by Eizenkot is expected to receive 8 seats.

In another context, the Yesh Atid party is expected to receive 7 seats, the Otzma Yehudit party 7, in addition to 6 seats for the Ra'am party. The Blue and White party and Hadash-Ta'al will only receive 4 seats each, while the National Democratic Assembly and the Religious Zionism parties failed to surpass the electoral threshold, weakening their chances for parliamentary representation.

In another scenario, a new party representing the "burdened public" is expected to emerge, expressing the increasing exhaustion of fighters and demands for a fairer distribution of military service. In this scenario, the party would receive 13 seats, becoming the third largest party after Likud and Naftali Bennett, attracting votes from the opposition and undecided voters, as well as some votes from Likud.

According to the results, this scenario could lead to an increase in the number of opposition seats to 66, while the coalition would decline to only 44 seats, reflecting potential changes in the balance of political power within Israel.

Regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, the survey showed that 47 percent of Israelis believe that the famine in the sector is a "Hamas deception," while 41 percent see it as a real humanitarian crisis, with 23 percent expressing concern about the crisis, while 18 percent do not care. These results come amid rising tensions and international disputes over the situation in Gaza.

On the subject of anti-Semitism, the survey indicated that 61 percent of Israelis fear being harmed when traveling to Europe, compared to 31 percent who do not feel afraid, and 8 percent who do not know their reaction. This reflects growing fears of rising manifestations of hatred and hostility against Jews abroad, especially amid ongoing international tensions.

This survey comes amid a stalemate in negotiations for a prisoner exchange deal, increasing international criticism of Israel, in addition to the field developments in the Gaza Strip, complicating the political and party landscape within the Jewish state. It is noted that the current Knesset term, which lasts four years, will end at the end of next year, with no clear intention for early elections, despite internal and external political pressures.

Abbas stipulates adherence to international legitimacy for participation in the Palestinian elections

Abbas Sets Conditions for Participation in Palestinian Elections and Affirms the Necessity of Adhering to International Legitimacy

The President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, confirmed that preparations for the general elections in Palestine will not include political forces and individuals who do not adhere to the program and commitments of the Palestine Liberation Organization and international legitimacy, in order to ensure a committed and transparent participation that aligns with international principles.

Abbas clarified during his meeting with German Foreign Minister, Johan Wadephol, that the elections will not include those who do not adhere to the principle of a single state, a single law, and a single legitimate weapon, emphasizing the importance of implementing the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative, as stated in the international peace conference in New York.

He pointed out that the goal is to establish an unarmed Palestinian state, including the Gaza Strip, with the necessity of adhering to the principles of international law and international legitimacy decisions, and working to end the Palestinian division and achieve national unity.

Abbas also briefed the German minister on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, emphasizing that the priority now is for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, the introduction of humanitarian aid to stop the war of starvation, in addition to the release of detained Palestinian prisoners.

He stressed the full responsibility of the State of Palestine in the Gaza Strip, with Arab and international support, demanding a complete Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories, halting settlement activities and annexation attempts, settler terrorism, and the release of Palestinian funds held by Israel.

In a related context, the agency reported the German minister as saying that the administration of the Gaza Strip after the war is the responsibility of the only legitimate State of Palestine that represents the Palestinians, affirming the importance of his country's contribution to the reconstruction of the sector and providing the necessary support to the national authority.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the war has resulted in more than 203,000 martyrs and wounded, including many children and women, with over 9,000 missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced, amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions and famine that have claimed many lives.

Abbas called on the international community for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the introduction of food and medical supplies, and the release of withheld tax funds, and urged U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene to allow United Nations organizations to deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged sector.

He also urged the international community to find immediate means to deliver humanitarian aid estimated at hundreds of thousands of tons, which are currently located around Gaza, to address the escalating humanitarian crisis.

Since October 2023, the number of victims of famine and malnutrition in Gaza has exceeded 100 Palestinians, including more than 80 children, according to the Ministry of Health in the sector, amid ongoing Israeli escalation and unprecedented deterioration of humanitarian conditions.

Pessimism in "Israel" about the return of negotiations.. What about the military operation?

Expectations of Escalation in Military Operations in Gaza Amid Deteriorating Chances of Reaching an Agreement

Channel 12 reported from a responsible source that Hamas has cut all communications with Israel, and that expanding military operations in the Gaza Strip has become inevitable, with a feeling that talks are on the verge of exploding. The source clarified that Israel sees the continuation of military operations as the only remaining option, especially after the dialogue with Hamas has ceased.

The source indicated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, for nearly three hours last Thursday. The meeting, which included Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, and other senior officials, discussed extensive steps against Hamas, emphasizing Israel's coordination with the U.S. administration regarding potential escalation.

In a related context, the American network "CNN" reported from informed sources that Hamas has completely stopped participating in any negotiations related to a ceasefire or the release of hostages, which enhances the sense of pessimism regarding the possibility of reaching an agreement. The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth also mentioned that the prevailing atmosphere in Israel indicates the difficulty of changing Hamas's position, and that reaching an agreement requires more time and patience that is currently unavailable from Israel's perspective.

A political source told the newspaper that the United States fully supports the Israeli position, despite the hardline stance of some Western countries and their calls for an immediate end to the war in Gaza. The newspaper confirmed that there are trends towards expanding military operations in the sector, despite the Israeli occupation army announcing the end of the 98th division's operations in Gaza today, which is an indicator of the intention for continued escalation.

According to political sources, there is a breakdown in communication with Hamas, which refuses to return to negotiations, making decisive decisions imminent in the coming days, especially with the weak chances of making progress in the negotiations. The sources clarified that the continued presence of U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff in Israel until Saturday prevents any decisive decisions from being made, as his presence is respected and Israeli officials do not wish to make decisions while he is there.

Supported the two-state solution.. Israeli writer: What is happening in Gaza is genocide.

Israeli Writer Describes the War on Gaza as Genocide and Supports the Two-State Solution

Israeli writer David Grossman described the war that Israel is waging on the Gaza Strip as "genocide," expressing his acknowledgment of what is happening there after previously refusing to use this term. Grossman stated in an interview published on Friday in the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica" that he can no longer deny the truth, referring to the images and news he has seen, in addition to his conversations with people who were in Gaza.

Grossman confirmed that what is happening is genocide, expressing his deep sorrow and intense pain for the tragedies he sees in the strip. He explained that this description reflects the magnitude of the humanitarian disaster that is worsening day by day, and that the international community must act quickly to stop these massacres.

In another context, Grossman renewed his support for the two-state solution, considering it the only viable option for the international community to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He praised French President Emmanuel Macron's determination to recognize a Palestinian state next September, expressing his astonishment at the "hysterical" reaction that this stance received in Israel.

Grossman stated that the recognition of a Palestinian state should be conditional on the absence of weapons and ensuring transparent elections, excluding any party that considers using violence against Israel. He noted that France and 14 other countries, including Canada and Australia, have called for announcing their intention to recognize the state of Palestine, and that the Portuguese government will consult with parliament and the president on this matter next September.

In a related context, France and Saudi Arabia held parallel meetings in Paris and New York to prepare for the two-state solution conference scheduled to be hosted by the United Nations from June 17 to 20. This comes amid rising international calls to end the occupation and achieve a just and comprehensive peace.

In a notable development, the British newspaper "The Guardian" published a report last Tuesday, in which more than 400 researchers in genocide studies accused Israel of carrying out systematic genocide in the Gaza Strip. The report criticized the Western silence and the moral complicity of institutions that claim to defend human rights, calling for immediate action to stop the fire, ban arms sales to Israel, and protect the concept of international justice.

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas revealed details of the meeting held between a leadership delegation from the movement, headed by Mohammed Darwish, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Istanbul, where both sides discussed the latest political developments and efforts to stop the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

The meeting addressed the ongoing crime of starvation in the Gaza Strip, which is considered part of the continuous aggression against the region, in addition to attempts at displacement in Gaza and the West Bank, issues of settlement, land confiscation, and the Judaization of Jerusalem, within the framework of the ongoing Israeli escalation against Palestinian territories.

Hamas's statement indicated that the movement's delegation reviewed during the meeting the actions taken by the Israeli occupation in Gaza, through ethnic cleansing and starvation by preventing food, medicine, and other means of life, considering these policies as a crime of genocide against the Palestinian people.

Darwish emphasized during the meeting that Hamas is ready to return to negotiations as soon as the humanitarian crisis ends, stressing the necessity of allowing sufficient aid to alleviate the suffering of the population in Gaza, and asserting that the Palestinian resistance continues to defend the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom and dignity, and to work towards establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

For his part, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan confirmed Turkey's ongoing efforts to stop the Israeli aggression and to work on delivering humanitarian aid urgently and effectively, reaffirming his country's continued support for the Palestinian cause.

Fidan pointed out that "Gaza is witnessing a genocide that brings shame to the international community," reiterating Turkey's firm rejection of the Israeli occupation's steps aimed at displacing Palestinians from Gaza and annexing the West Bank, expressing his concern over the escalation of Israeli aggression against Palestinian territories.

Fidan added that "Israel" aims, by prolonging the ceasefire negotiations, to break the resistance of Palestinians in Gaza and force them to leave their homes, emphasizing that the international community must act to stop these crimes and end the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Hamas responds to Trump's statements regarding aid: His accusations are baseless and unfounded.

Hamas Responds to Trump's Statements on Aid: His Accusations Are Unfounded and Lack Evidence

The Hamas movement issued a strongly worded statement condemning the remarks made by former U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he claimed that the movement is stealing and selling humanitarian aid provided to Gaza. The movement confirmed that these allegations are unfounded and lack any reliable evidence.

Hamas clarified that Trump's claims were justified only by reports and testimonies from international organizations, including the United Nations, in addition to an internal investigation by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which confirmed that there are no reports indicating that the movement has stolen aid. It emphasized that these accusations come in the context of an ongoing smear campaign against it.

The movement stressed that what is happening in the Gaza Strip in terms of famine and genocide is a direct result of Israeli occupation policies supported by the United States, which uses food and medicine as weapons of war against more than two million people living in the sector. It confirmed that the occupation imposes a comprehensive siege on Gaza, aimed at starving the population and weakening their resistance.

Hamas called on the U.S. administration to stop viewing the situation solely from an Israeli perspective and to take its moral and legal responsibilities regarding what is happening in Gaza. It urged the international community to condemn the starvation and siege policies imposed by the occupation and to work on supporting efforts to deliver humanitarian aid safely and fully through the United Nations, while rejecting dealings with what it described as the "Gaza Humanitarian Institution," which it considered a trap to kill the hungry and those in need of assistance.
