Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced the martyrdom of eight Palestinian martyrs since Wednesday morning, as a result of a series of attacks and violations carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in various areas of the Strip. These field developments come amid the occupation's continued disregard for ceasefire understandings, leading to civilian casualties in shelters and residential areas.
In details of the field massacres, an occupation drone targeted a tent housing displaced people near the Turkish slaughterhouse area south of Khan Yunis city, resulting in the martyrdom of four members of one family and varying injuries to others. Gaza City also witnessed similar attacks, where a child was martyred in the Zeitoun neighborhood by machine gun fire mounted on a military crane east of the city, while another young man was martyred in an airstrike that directly targeted him in Al-Oyoun Street in the western part.
These deadly targeting incidents indicate a de facto collapse of the guarantees associated with the ceasefire agreement signed in the Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh under international and Arab auspices on October 10, 2025. Despite the agreement officially entering into force, Israeli military operations have not ceased, putting the agreement, which aimed to end the war, at risk amidst the escalating daily killing.
According to the latest data issued by the Ministry of Health, the number of martyrs who have fallen since the presumed truce came into effect on October 11 has jumped to 1,084 martyrs, in addition to approximately 3,491 injured. Rescue and ambulance teams also managed to recover 799 bodies from under the rubble and in border areas during the same period, reflecting the extent of the destruction and violations committed.
Regarding the comprehensive statistics of the ongoing aggression since October 7, 2023, the total number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,110 martyrs, while the number of wounded and injured has exceeded 173,599 people. These horrific figures confirm the continuation of the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip, amidst human rights and international demands for the occupation to be compelled to stop its comprehensive aggression and provide protection for civilians.
