A medical source in the Gaza Strip reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out an airstrike targeting a group of civilians while they were waiting to receive humanitarian aid near the Netzarim junction, resulting in the death of 12 people and serious injuries to others.

The martyrs were transported to the hospital after sustaining direct injuries, amidst chaos and shock that prevailed in the area, especially since the region was crowded with civilians who were waiting for aid under difficult humanitarian conditions.

The Netzarim junction is considered one of the main areas through which humanitarian aid passes into the Gaza Strip, and the region has witnessed several similar incidents since the beginning of the military escalation, raising widespread international condemnation and outrage over the targeting of civilians and aid seekers.

Israeli military operations continue in the Gaza Strip, amid a deterioration of humanitarian conditions, with a severe shortage of food and medicine, and warnings from human rights organizations of an impending humanitarian disaster in the region.
