Refineries strike continues in France and Total-Energies

Paris, (AFP) - The strike continues in oil refineries in France , Thursday, in "Esso-ExxonMobil", whose workers were first targeted by an order to resume work, while "Total-Energies" announced, as the strikers are still preventing the transfer of fuel to gas stations that suffer from Scarce, for an Exceptional Bonus in December.

In this strike atmosphere, Total-Energies announced an "extraordinary" bonus to be distributed to "all its employees in the world" equal to one month's salary in December, with a cap on "large salaries".

The strikers in this group on Wednesday night vehemently rejected a proposal by management to rescind the ban on dawn deliveries as a precondition for starting wage negotiations.

"It's a broad categorical refusal," Thierry Deversen of the General Trade Union (CGT) and a member of the trade union committee of Total-Energies Europe told AFP after a night meeting at the group's headquarters. He added that the employees "do not want to negotiate this requirement."

He continued, "We wasted a long time and we are now negotiating without conditions," considering that the group's "request" to "release the product," that is, fuel, is synonymous with a "soft" order to resume work.

For its part, the group confirmed to France Press "the negative result of the night's discussions."

The dialogue had apparently resumed earlier in the day, with the administration's agreement to receive the trade union committee.

Until then, the administration was calling, in a precondition, to lift the obstacles to transporting fuel to receive the second union in it.

The conflict entered a new phase on Wednesday with the implementation of the threat to issue orders to return to workplaces waved by the government and currently includes four employees of the fuel depot of the Exxon Mobil refinery in Port Jerome / Notre Dame de Gravenchon in the Seine-Maritime region (northwest).

These employees are required to re-inject the fuel.

One of the leaders of the General Labor Union, Felipe Martinez, who came to support the Exxon Mobil employees, protested against the "scandalous decision" and announced an appeal against it Thursday.

The administration of the Seine-Maritime region said on Wednesday evening that "the pumping has begun and the fuel has reached the pipeline designated to supply the Paris region."

Will it get better? President Emmanuel Macron expected, in an interview with "France 2" channel, on Wednesday evening, that the situation will return to normal regarding the distribution of fuel "during the next week."

Currently, the shortage continues to anger motorists.

And at 17:00 on Wednesday, 30.8 percent of gas stations lacked one or more of their types, compared to 31.3 percent on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Energy Transition.

However, this ratio is worse in the north, in the Paris region, and in the centre.

For their part, employers expressed this week their concern about the repercussions of this strike on the country's economic life.

Everywhere motorists talk about long queues at gas stations.

"I spent an hour and a half looking for a diesel station (...) on my day off," said Albertine Moret, a nurse in Clichy-la-Garenne, on the outskirts of Paris. "I have to do the same thing in two days," she added.

"I feel terrified," she continued.

The strike includes six of France's seven refineries - four for Total-Energies and two for ExxonMobil. Only the Lavera refinery (Petronius Group) is not included in the strike.

In addition, the "Total-Energies" depots in Lamede (southeast) and the Flanders depots that feed the north of the country are all closed.

In the Esso Group, he signed an agreement with two major unions, but not with the General Confederation of Labor. So the strike continues in Msfatha.

A fourth union, the "Force Ouvriere" of refining employees at Total-Energies, joined the strike.

In this group, the strike has been ongoing since September 27, and includes the Normandy refinery (northwest), the Flanders depot, the Lamed Biorefinery, the Vizin refinery (central east) and the Dong refinery (west).

The reason for the dispute is wages. The General Trade Union, which launched the strike on September 27 at Total-Energies, is demanding a 10 percent increase in 2022, compared to 3.5 percent granted at the beginning of the year, in order to compensate for inflation and take advantage of the group's exceptional profits.

The American report on Abu Aqelah is disappointing.. Al-Sheikh to "Al-Quds": 6 major issues that will be discussed with Biden

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - Muhammad Abu Khdeir - Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Al-Sheikh , said that US President Joe Biden's visit to Bethlehem in the middle of this month is a test of the seriousness of the US administration, warning of its failure to find a political horizon and forcing Israel to abide by international legitimacy.

In an exclusive interview with Al-Quds.com, on the sidelines of his meeting with a group of Palestinian journalists in his office yesterday, Al-Sheikh revealed 6 main issues that will be addressed in the meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas and US President Joe Biden in Bethlehem, centering on the implementation of the mandates. The United States stands for the promises it made, which are represented by a two-state solution, settlements, stopping the displacement of Jerusalemites, preserving the status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy places in Jerusalem, Islamic and Christian, stopping all unilateral measures taken by Israel and opening the US embassy in East Jerusalem.

Al-Sheikh said: We view the meeting with President Biden as a pivotal meeting, and we hope that there will be serious outcomes from the meeting, foremost of which is launching a political horizon and forcing Israel to respect and implement the decisions of international legitimacy, stressing the need for Israel and the United States to adhere to the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy.
.
He warned that there would be no serious outputs from President Biden's meeting that would give hope to the Palestinian people for a political horizon that would achieve the requirements they want and aspire to for our people who are under occupation, settlements and Israeli violations.

And the sheikh’s chapter on the political horizon: “We want to implement the decisions of the legitimacy that is indispensable and has no alternative, and the international contradiction has emerged in the Russian-Ukrainian war. How does this international legitimacy implement its decisions and why the double standards? We have more than 100 Security Council resolutions, none of which Israel has implemented."

He added, "What is required is that Israel be held accountable and that there be an international will that compels and pushes Israel to abide by the legitimacy decisions related to the Palestinian cause."

Sheikh described the US administration's statement regarding the assassination of Sherine Abu Aqleh as disappointing.

He added, "The Israeli occupation government bears responsibility for the assassination of Sherine Abu Aqelah, and we will complete our procedures before international courts."

Regarding American financial support, the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the PLO confirmed that it has been suspended for years under justifications and pretexts for which we do not know the reason, and he said: “We hope that the US President’s visit to Bethlehem will be a prelude to the return of things to normal and the waters to their normal course, and that President Biden will take clear decisions.” The return of financial support to the authority.

He added: "In the event that President Biden's visit does not fulfill its pledges, foremost of which is the political horizon and the visit fails, we will all go to an uncomfortable square, the loss of hope among the Palestinians and the continuation of this Israeli policy, escalation, abuse, settlements and invasions can no longer be tolerated, and therefore we call on the international community to take control of its responsibilities." .

Regarding going to the United Nations and withdrawing recognition of Israel, Al-Sheikh said: “There are a set of measures approved by the leadership, and they were postponed at the request of our friends and the American administration until after President Joe Biden’s visit, and I hope that we will not have to go to that .. We hope that there will be a serious breakthrough.” But if the visit comes out with nostalgia, I think there is no longer any way out and no choice for the Palestinian leadership."

In response to a question about presenting a group of American economic projects, Sheikh said: "Our issue is political and we want a political horizon. We do not talk about economic projects and economic peace."

He added: "The Palestinian people want freedom and independence, an end to this settlement, invasions and violations, and an end to the occupation, not cosmetic solutions that reproduce the occupation and perpetuate it on the ground and on the chests of our people."

Al-Sheikh stressed that the Palestinian issue cannot be ignored and its solution postponed, and he said: "They have repeatedly tried to marginalize the Palestinian issue, but it was and still is strongly present at all levels."

Al-Sheikh considered that restoring the political horizon is a Palestinian priority, pointing out that the US President has pledged to reopen the US Consulate in Jerusalem, and we are waiting for him to fulfill his promise.

The previous US administration headed by Donald Trump worked to close the US consulate in Jerusalem and close the office of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Washington, while the current US administration pledged to reopen the consulate in Jerusalem without specifying any date for that, but Israel rejected the matter, and proposed opening a consulate in Ramallah. Instead, the US administration proposed appointing an American official to handle the Palestinian file, but the Palestinian leadership insisted and insists on opening the consulate.

Sheikh said: Among the Palestinian demands to be submitted to Biden, the removal of the PLO from the list of "terrorist" organizations, in addition to reopening the office of its diplomatic mission in Washington.

When asked about the position of the Palestinian leadership regarding Yair Lapid assuming the presidency of the Israeli government, Al-Sheikh said: "We will judge him by his actions. Will he continue the Bennett government's settlement policy, demolishing homes, invading cities, arrests and violations? Will Lapid stop that? We will see in the next four days and months."

Al-Sheikh drew attention to the tendency of Israeli society towards the right and settlement, and said that there is no partner in Israel now, and I do not expect it to be in the next few years.

During the meeting, Sheikh reviewed many internal Palestinian issues such as division, dialogue and reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas movements, and expressed his belief in the importance of holding Palestinian elections, especially legislative ones, in East Jerusalem.

The sheikh also dealt with Palestinian-Arab relations and their weaknesses and strengths, stressing the Palestinian leadership's keenness on good relations with all Arab countries and refusing to interfere in their internal affairs, criticizing normalization.

He confirmed to Al-Quds.com that the Fatah movement is working to prepare for the eighth conference before the end of this year to bring together the Fatah ranks, which he described as broad.

He also described the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the PLO in the form of his recent visit to Moscow at the invitation of the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, stressing the importance of that visit and the meeting, which he described as strategic and extremely important.

Al-Sheikh dealt with the overall Palestinian relations, meetings with the leaders of the occupation, and issues with a political dimension, indicating that today there is no partner on the Israeli side ready to talk about the implementation of the agreements or the two-state solution.

He affirmed that he is with the Palestinian discourse that is far from slogans and grandiloquent rhetoric, and said: The next stage is difficult, and requires solid and stable stances, and to achieve the goals of our people by ending the occupation and establishing the state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in the shortest way and the lowest costs.

Nine wounded, including four children, in Russian bombing of southern Ukraine

Kiev ( Ukraine ) (AFP) - Nine Ukrainians, including four children, were injured Saturday in Russian bombing of the city of Voznesensk, near a nuclear power plant in the southern region of Mykolaiv, according to the region's governor, Vitaly Kim.

Kim wrote on the Telegram application that the children ranged from three to seventeen years old, "and all of them are in critical condition," stressing that a girl lost an eye in the attack.

Voznesensk is located about twenty kilometers from Ukraine's Prevdinokrainsk nuclear power plant and about 70 kilometers from Mykolaiv.

The bombing affected a residential building and a number of houses in Voznesensk, which includes about 30,000 people, according to what the State Emergency Service said on Facebook, publishing pictures of a destroyed building.

Heavy and continuous Russian bombardment targets the Mykolaiv region near Kherson, which has been almost completely captured by Russian forces since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

Andrei Yermak, director of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, condemned the attack, saying, "Voznesensk is a terrorist area, which prompted Russia to strike a residential building."

"Our goal is to make not only the current generation of Russians take responsibility, but also their children and grandchildren. Russia will pay the price," he added.

The Ukrainian army confirmed in the morning, on Telegram, that four Russian Kalibr cruise missiles had been shot down near the city of Dnipro (center-east), launched across the Black Sea, by an S-300 air defense system.

Ivan Federov, the mayor of Melitopol in the Kherson region, who lives in exile, confirmed on Telegram that Ukraine had bombed a Russian military base in this occupied city.

On the ground, the Ukrainian army reported Russian attack attempts, especially in the Donetsk region near Bakhmut, Zaitseve and Kudima. And the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed in a statement this morning that "the battles are continuing."

Tunisian politicians and trade unionists launch an initiative to support the path of President Kais Saied

TUNIS - (Xinhua) - A Tunisian group of politicians, trade unionists and civil society activists launched today (Sunday) an initiative to support President Kais Saied's path, which he announced on July 25, 2021, under the name "Let the people win."

This initiative comes at a time when events are accelerating in Tunisia amid increasing partisan alignments and political alliances, opposing the legislative elections scheduled for December 17th.

In a statement signed by 25 political, trade union and community figures, a copy of which was received by Xinhua News Agency, those concerned with this initiative described their initiative as a "national, popular, horizontal struggle framework".

Among the signatories to this statement are Zuhair Hamdi, Secretary General of the Popular Current Party, Haikal Belkacem of the Popular Front Movement, former Parliamentarian Mubaraka Brahmi, Mohamed Ali Boughdiri and Mohamed Saad (former general secretaries of the Tunisian General Labor Union), in addition to Ibrahim Bouderbala, dean of lawyers. the previous.

The owners of this initiative emphasized that their initiative "is open to the general Tunisian people, and to all its diverse forces that deeply believe in the path of December 17-July 25, and completely boycott the pre-2010 and pre-2021 system to achieve political, social and economic change."

This initiative includes 15 points, including an emphasis on basic human rights and other public and individual rights and freedoms, the independence of the judiciary, and the dedication of fair and efficient judicial accountability, in addition to their call for justice between individuals, marginalized parties, and vulnerable groups.

They considered that their initiative is "an intense expression of an integrated national project in various fields that aspires to the unity of destiny with the general people."

On the economic level, it stipulated that "a diversified, balanced, fair and integrated economy based on parity and partnership between the public and private sectors and taking care of the social, solidarity, mutual and civil economy as a basis for progress and development."

The initiative stressed the "enlightened Arab-Islamic, African and international civilizational and cultural affiliation with the necessity of turning to all countries and opening up to emerging global horizons on the basis of gradual liberation from dependence, building respect and cooperation, and adopting a policy of non-alignment."

Despite the assertion of the owners of this initiative that their initiative "is not just an electoral tool, but rather a fusion of struggle on the basis of a very important interim mission," observers linked the timing of its launch to the elections that Tunisia is preparing for on December 17, and to the increase of fronts, alliances, and party coalitions opposing President Kais Saied.

Over the past few months, the Tunisian opposition has sought to try to unify its work within the framework of party fronts and coalitions, and this effort has intensified with the approaching legislative elections, which it said it would boycott.

Among the most prominent of these opposition alliances and coalitions, we find the National Salvation Front, which was founded on May 31, headed by Ahmed Najib al-Shabi.

Tunisia's trade deficit rose to $5.88 billion

Tunisia - (Xinhua) - Tunisia's trade deficit rose during the past nine months to 18.8 billion dinars ($5.88 billion), compared to 11.9 billion dinars ($3.71 billion) during the same period of 2021, according to official statistical data published this evening (Thursday). Tunisian National Institute of Statistics.

According to these statistical data, which came in a report on Tunisia's foreign trade, excerpts from which were published by the official Tunisian News Agency this evening, this rise coincided with "the expansion of Tunisia's energy deficit."

She explained that Tunisia's energy balance deficit represents 36.6% of Tunisia's total trade deficit, and pointed out that the value of Tunisian exports during the aforementioned period amounted to 42.2 billion dinars ($13.18 billion), an increase of 25.8% compared to the results recorded during the same period of the year 2021.

Will the president carry out his threats? and when?!

Written by: Dr. Ibrahim Abrash

In his speech at the United Nations General Assembly last September, President Abu Mazen acknowledged, albeit belatedly and vaguely, that the political settlement process entitled the Oslo Accords and the two-state solution had reached a dead end. It was an acknowledgment due to Israeli practices and international inaction, and he repeated that in his speech on the eleventh of November. On the seventeenth anniversary of the martyrdom of Abu Ammar, and he talked about the issue during the funeral of Shirin Abu Aqleh, and finally after the march of the Jewish flags and the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which has become almost daily, calling on the international community to intervene and the Israeli occupation authorities to return to negotiations and abide by the signed agreements and resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution within a year One, and as a veiled threat, he hinted at abandoning the Oslo Accords and all associated obligations if Israel did not abide by that.

Someone might say that Abu Mazen, with this statement, wants to calm the state of popular anger and absolve himself of responsibility for what happened, and that he is still betting on the international system and the political settlement, and that his threats have no value because the political system and the entire Palestinian situation are not qualified for the options that the president is talking about. .... .

However, if we assume the existence of good intentions and the will to change the approach, then the president's words include, as we mentioned previously, an admission of the failure of the previous policies and strategies of the political system and a preparation for a strategic review, even if Hamas and its affiliated parties also admitted their mistakes and the failure of their policies and stopped arrogance and obstinacy, which is a failure Make sure, after 15 lean years of its rule over the Gaza Strip, that it has become possible to return to a national dialogue that is not limited to the existing parties, but includes all Palestinians, including parties, civil society institutions, and independents, because those outside the parties are more numerous than those inside the parties, a dialogue that establishes a new national strategy that rebuilds The entire political system, and accordingly, the one-year deadline set by the president is not only directed at Israel and the international community, but also at the components of the entire political and societal system. This deadline will lead to a further deterioration of the situation and the consolidation of the division, and we may be attacked by new divisions that are no less dangerous than the current one.

After three-quarters of the presidential deadline/ultimatum has passed, and under an Israeli government headed by Naftali Bennett and an Israeli society that is no less Zionist and extremist than it, there is no chance for Israel to change its policy and adhere to the resolutions of international legitimacy or the two-state solution. The Israeli government has intensified its settlement projects and the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jenin, Nablus, Hebron and other areas. The provocation reached the government's adoption of the media march in Jerusalem and its implementation under the protection of the army. It also does not appear on the horizon that Hamas and other factions will pick up the president's initiative and reconsider their policy and take a step towards ending division and the achievement of national reconciliation. Indeed, all its policies and measures in the Gaza Strip confirm that it will not back down from its control over the Strip.

So what will the president do after next September and the expiry of the specified deadline, even though what happened of Zionist practices after the president's speech in September required a response without waiting for the specified deadline?

It may be understandable that Israel is indifferent to the president's speeches and threats, and it has become accustomed to such threats from all Palestinian factions. It is also possible to understand the negativity of Hamas' position, and the Palestinian factions did not take the president's threats seriously, and it seems that the majority of the Palestinian people and all countries of the world do not take the president's threats seriously. Seriously, the reason is simply that all of these parties did not see a movement on the ground by the official institution, which suggests that a change is being prepared for.

Yes, there are no indications that the Palestinian leadership is preparing for a new approach by implementing the decisions of the Central Council or returning to the people through general elections so that the people can say their word. Neither the National Council nor the Central Council nor the Executive Committee of the PLO met to discuss the matter until the eighth general conference of the Fatah movement. Postponing it, and as the popular proverb says (if it needs distraction, it will be clouded), and that some say there is still plenty of time until September, this is an underestimation of minds because the implementation of the president’s threats or what he declared requires a comprehensive national strategy to confront the Israeli reactions to the president’s implementation of his threat. Even without the President's reprieve and his threat, and as previously mentioned, what is happening requires such a move and such a strategy as soon as possible.

And we say it frankly, and after we tracked what happened in the march of the Jewish flags and the settlers’ storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque without valuable reactions from the political class and from the official and partisan institutions, after what happened, we do not believe that what happened after last September will be different from what came before it, rather things will be worse. Even if the president issued a decision to implement the Central Council's decisions, the official institutions would not be able or willing to implement it.

Tattooing the tumor site for breast cancer patients

Bordeaux - (AFP) - This month, French women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer will be able to turn the page on their suffering with a free artistic tattoo, with the aim of erasing stigma, as part of the "October Rose" initiative to raise awareness of this disease.

"Look at my tattoo," says Nathalie Sogan, 55, admiring her tattoo in the mirror.

The scars from Sugan's surgical removal of both breasts are no longer visible. Those on the left are covered by a painting showing an Asian landscape that includes a waterfall, stones for their "hardness," two koi fish, a species known for its tough conditions, and Mount Fuji in the background.

It took about seven hours of work to complete this tattoo, as a result of which Sugan turned a page from her life that lasted seven years of suffering from cancer. Sugan was diagnosed for the first time with this disease in May 2015, when doctors told her that the infection affected her right breast.

"Cancer is like a tsunami that we face," she says. She underwent her first mastectomy two months after her condition was diagnosed. To hide the effects of the operation, in 2018 she received a tattoo of a tree and a Buddha statue.

Her second breast developed cancer in 2019, and she became angry at having to undergo a second mastectomy and then chemotherapy.

The drawing of the tree and the Buddha statue are now in harmony with the tattoo of the waterfall and Mount Fuji, while the body of the fifty-year-old woman is characterized by this "work of art", which refused a reconstruction of her breasts because she had suffered enough.

As for the tattoo artist, Yale, she believes that tattoos carry many meanings, and she says, "We do not contribute to saving lives on a daily basis, but we help in healing."

Breast cancer is the most common and deadly type of cancer among women worldwide, with 54,000 new infections and more than 12,000 deaths annually recorded in France.

During the first weekend of October, about twenty women decided to undergo a tattoo in a hotel hall in Bordeaux, the first for most of them, Pascal Murray, 67.

"I did not initially support the idea of tattooing. But the October Rose initiative is taking place in my area, and when I learned about Rose Tattoo, I was convinced," she says.

Doctors told Murray when she was 41 years old that she was in the pre-cancerous stage, that is, the stage of detecting cells growing abnormally. The woman underwent a reconstruction operation using her latissimus dorsi muscle, which left scars at the operation site.

And these wounds disappeared under a tattoo of beautiful roses. "This painting adorned a place that was not beautiful," says the sixty-year-old woman.
"I've been told a lot that getting a tattoo is an end to suffering," says Natalie Cade, president of the Sur Danker association behind the initiative. Other tattoo sessions are scheduled to take place in Paris.

Kaede remembers the first time she launched this initiative in 2016, saying, "There were seven tattoo artists for nine women," noting that this low turnout shocked her.

The demand for tattoos has increased annually since 2016. A woman wishing to receive a tattoo must wait “at least one year” after the last surgery she underwent, in addition to submitting a medical statement that she does not object to resorting to this procedure, provided that it does not exceed the date of the three months preceding the day of the initiative.

The tattoo artists, for their part, undergo training to obtain the necessary “technical and medical information” from a specialized surgeon, and thus become familiar with the physical and psychological consequences of cancer.

Sur Danker's goal is to make tattoo art become a healing tool in itself.

Sandrine, who received a tattoo three years ago and came to accompany her close friend, confirms that she no longer sees the effects of cancer, and says, "I no longer talk about what I went through, but only about tattoos."

Turkish resentment and an ambiguous Qatari position... Will the Syrian regime refrain from meeting the leadership of Hamas?!

Beirut - Exclusive "Al-Quds" dot com - Well-informed Palestinian sources revealed today, Thursday, that the Syrian regime has not yet responded to attempts by mediators to bridge views between it and Hamas , in light of the movement's decision taken several months ago to restore relations with the regime in Damascus. For his part, he achieves an improvement in his control over many lands, as well as in his relations with Arab, Islamic and other countries.

According to the sources that spoke to Al-Quds.com , several parties intervened and made contacts, some formally and others informally, with some officials in the Syrian regime, with the knowledge of the Hamas leadership. However, these efforts have not yet achieved any breakthrough, and there is a state of apathy. It prevails by the leadership in Damascus towards the movement after its position on the events that began in the country in 2012.

The sources said that the restoration of relations between Hamas and the Syrian regime will require more time, and years may pass until they return again, indicating that the movement is interested in opening up relations again with the Syrian regime and other countries and parties in the context of its attempt to confront the changes taking place in the region and the alliances that are being built to try to serve Normalization and the Israeli occupation.

According to the sources, Hamas' decision to restore its relationship with the Syrian regime in particular aroused the anger and resentment of the Turkish leadership, which in turn did not talk to the movement about the issue, but it is an issue that is expected to be discussed in any official or unofficial meetings between the two sides.

It is remarkable that he did not know Qatar's position on Hamas' decision, especially since Doha is one of the countries that most opposes the return of the Syrian regime to the Arab League and the official system in the region.

While the Muslim Brotherhood did not show any position on Hamas' decision, some clerics and scholars conveyed a message advising the movement's leadership to reconsider its decision.

The scholars said in their message: The decision has "great corruptions, and it is not consistent with the principles, values, and legal controls, and this, in the view of those present, requires that the movement review and re-study it in the light of what the scholars mentioned."

The scholars pointed out that Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, promised to present the issue again to the leadership of the movement.

Hamas did not comment on that message, but confirmed, through the words of leaders Musa Abu Marzouk and Khalil al-Hayya, that there are contacts to restore relations with the Syrian regime and other parties.

Sources told Al-Quds.com , on the twenty-first of this month, that there are no developments in the file of restoring relations with Syria, which was taken months after the election of the new political bureau in August of last year.

At the time, the sources indicated that the political bureau of Hamas took the decision within the framework of opening up to all sides and improving relations with all Arab and international parties, noting that some Palestinian factions played a role in trying to bridge points of view, especially in light of the development of relations between the Palestinian resistance and the axis of resistance in the region. .

Reuters had quoted sources in Hamas as saying that the movement had decided to resume its relations with Syria ten years after its leadership boycotted Damascus because of its opposition to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's campaign against his rule.

According to "Reuters", an official in the movement, who requested anonymity, said that "the two parties held meetings at higher leadership levels to achieve this."

Reconnecting the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant to the electricity grid

Vienna, (AFP) - Ukraine's Zaporizhia nuclear power plant has been reconnected to the electricity grid, the International Atomic Energy Agency said Sunday, describing it as a "temporary respite in the face of an unsustainable situation".

The Agency had announced on Saturday that this nuclear facility in southern Ukraine, the largest in Europe, had lost its last external source of electricity due to the renewed bombing, and had now relied on emergency generators in order to secure the current it needed to perform some safety functions, including cooling all six of its suspended reactors.

"Our teams in Zaporizhia confirm that the external feeder line that was lost yesterday (Saturday) has been restored, and that (the station) has been reconnected to the grid, which constitutes a temporary respite in the face of an untenable situation," IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi wrote on his Twitter account. bear it."

The director of the UN agency added, "We need a protection zone" around the station, pointing out that he intends to go to Russia, and that he will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky soon, "with the aim of establishing this zone."

In March, Russian forces took control of the Zaporizhia station, located in southern Ukraine, on the banks of the Dnieper River.

Russia officially announced on Wednesday the acquisition of the station, after it annexed four Ukrainian regions in one of which the facility is located, based on "referendums" for self-determination that were not recognized by the international community.

Hezbollah turns its first training camp into a "landmark for jihadist tourism"

Janta (Lebanon) - (AFP) - Hezbollah on Friday laid the foundation stone for a "jihadist tourism landmark" in the first camp established by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Lebanon to train fighters from the party in the Janta region in the east of the country.

"The first training camp for the Islamic resistance in Lebanon, and the first military course for training and graduating fighters for the Islamic resistance in Lebanon," said Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in a speech he delivered during the foundation stone-laying ceremony.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard took over the camp in 1982 and worked to expand it after it had been used for years by the Amal Movement, which is today led by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.

And he participated in the first sessions of the Janta training camp, the former Secretary General of Hezbollah, Abbas al-Musawi, who was assassinated by Israel in 1992.

According to Nasrallah, the camp was subjected to Israeli bombing several times, claiming the lives of Lebanese fighters and Iranian trainers.

Hezbollah no longer relied on this camp, which expanded gradually and witnessed many training courses, and opened several training camps in other regions.

At the Janta site, located in the eastern outskirts of the Lebanese Bekaa, Friday, military vehicles were placed and Hezbollah members deployed in the surrounding hills, with the participation of a few hundred people, including party officials.

Hezbollah broadcast a video showing its fighters during military exercises in the camp.

The laying of the foundation stone for the Janta landmark comes at the end of two months, during which Hezbollah held several activities on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of its founding.

Hezbollah was founded in 1982 in the wake of the Israeli invasion with the support of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and joined leftist groups that confronted the Israeli forces, and became the most prominent force that contributed to the liberation of the south after nearly 22 years of occupation.

The landmark of Janta is the second "tourist" site set up by Hezbollah.

In 2010, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the liberation of southern Lebanon from the Israeli occupation, Hezbollah opened the "Mleeta Museum for Jihadi Tourism" in Iqlim al-Tuffah (south), in a military site that its fighters used as a base to launch operations against the Israeli army.

Lebanon and Israel are officially at war. In July 2006, Israel launched a devastating 33-day assault on Lebanon, after Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. The war killed 1,200 people in Lebanon, most of them civilians, and 160 Israelis, most of them soldiers.

Recently, Nasrallah warned of the outbreak of a war that he considered might subject Israel to Lebanon's conditions in the event that it is prevented from extracting oil and gas from its waters, at a time when the US mediation continues in the file of demarcating the maritime borders.

Are we facing a Lebanese-Israeli naval Oslo, or a devastating regional war?!

Written by: Muhammad Al-Nubani

I firmly believe that Israel would not have ventured to rent a huge British ship specialized in extracting oil and gas from the depths of the sea and bring it to the disputed Karish marine area between Lebanon and the Israeli entity in order to start its work in extracting oil and gas from the aforementioned field if it did not have assurances that reach the level of certainty , by its allies in Lebanon that this ship will not be exposed to any harm from Hezbollah specifically.

This party participating in the Lebanese government and allied with Lebanese President Michel Aoun and his party, the Free Patriotic Movement, which is currently headed by Gebran Bassil, has repeatedly declared that the decision of war and peace in Lebanon is in the hands of the Lebanese state and not in his hand.

This was reaffirmed by Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, in his exclusive interview with Reuters on Monday, specifically when he said that his party would not use force to deter Israel because of what is happening in Karish unless the Lebanese government declares that what is happening is an Israeli attack on Lebanon's oil and gas rights in the sea.

It goes without saying that Aoun, who did not even dare to sign Decree 6422 regarding the amendment of the navy, and Najib Mikati, who obeys Saudi orders, will not dare to say that, because resorting to resistance as an option to restore rights is not included in their dictionary and contradicts their interests.

The choice of Aoun and Mikati is negotiations on the rule laid down by Anwar Sadat, according to which 99% of the solution cards are in the hands of America.

Therefore, Aoun and Miqati asked the American envoy for negotiations to demarcate the maritime borders between Lebanon and Israel, Amos Hochstein, who, by the way, is an American Jew born in Tel Aviv and served in the Israeli army and holds both American and Israeli citizenships, to come to Beirut to initiate indirect negotiations with Israel regarding the Karish field and demarcation. Maritime borders between Lebanon and the Israeli entity.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz immediately agreed with this call, who made press statements on Monday confirming that the dispute with Lebanon over gas will be resolved through diplomatic means and with American mediation.

In order not to get bogged down in the details, the concrete analysis of the tangible reality and the benefit from the Palestinian-Israeli negotiation experience, in particular, know that whoever bets on American mediation to resolve a dispute with Israel over an issue is necessarily a loser.

America is the main enemy of all the Arab and Islamic peoples and all peoples yearning for liberation from the domination of capitalist brutality, and it is a partner with Israel in all the crimes it commits against the Palestinian people.

Any talk of an honest American mediator when it comes to Israel is nonsense and a fantasy, even if this mediator is not a Zionist-Israeli who holds American citizenship like Amos Forkstein, who served in the Israeli army and considers Israel's security at the forefront of his priorities.

Accordingly, if the Lebanese resistance does not enter the line and deter Israel at sea, as it is deterred on land, then Lebanon, whose people suffer from poverty, deprivation and hardship, will remain a failed state forever and ever, and with time it will join the ranks of the normalizers with Israel.

It remains to say that Israel's medic to speed up the theft of Lebanese oil and gas is done in coordination with the Biden administration, which has an interest in exporting the gas extracted from the "Karish" field to Europe as an alternative to Russian gas and to hit the Russian economy.

Will the Lebanese resistance allow this satanic project to see the light?!

This is what the coming hours, days and weeks will answer.

Norrigan Air Shuttle intends to buy 50 Boeing aircraft

Oslo (AFP) - Low-cost Norwegian airline Norwegian Air Shuttle announced Monday that it plans to buy 50 Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes, in an extra dose of support for the US planemaker, which has been in crisis since two of its planes crashed.

And a statement from the Norwegian company stated that the fifty aircraft will be delivered between the years 2025 and 2028, which is approximately the same period in which its lease contracts expire, noting that the deal includes an option to purchase 30 additional aircraft.

The order brings relief to Boeing, especially to the department involved in developing the 737 Max 8, which was grounded for 20 months after 346 people were killed in two crashes of this type.

"Norwegian" and "Boeing" have been involved in a legal dispute for years, and the Norwegian company is asking the American manufacturer for compensation due to problems related to the 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner aircraft for long distances.

Norwegian did not disclose on Monday if the order was part of the dispute settlement.

The Norwegian company said that the deal is subject to "several conditions of completion", hoping to be completed by the end of June.

Currently, "Norwegian" operates 61 aircraft, and is seeking to increase its fleet to 70 aircraft this summer and to 85 aircraft next summer.

Struggled by overly optimistic expansion plans, technical issues and the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company narrowly avoided bankruptcy last year through an extensive restructuring process that led to several results including the abandonment of long-haul flights, the reduction of its fleet and the cancellation of several orders.

On the other hand, the "Norwegian" order reinforces the recovery path of the 737 MAX model, of which the "International Airlines Group", which owns British Airways "British Airways", requested the purchase of 50 aircraft of it, with the possibility of increasing the number to 150.

Hocus pocus fall, and others await

Written by: Hamdi Farrag

On this day in history, the memory of the assassination of Ghassan Kanafani fifty years ago jumps every time, coinciding this year with the stand of Arafat and Eid al-Adha, during which - the fifty years - witnessed the fall of many superstitions attributed once to customs and once to religion; The blue bead that hangs at the entrance of the house or on the necks of the children and sometimes on the necks of the sheep for fear of envy, mothers walk barefoot and sometimes they travel to the shrine of the green guardian in fulfillment of a vow be his vow, adjusting the inverted shoe inside the house, not sweeping the house at night for fear of disturbing the jinn, if it The mother was forced to pour water at night to associate it with the Basmala, to enter the bathroom with the right foot, to read whatever supplications were available before going to sleep for fear of the sudden raid of "Azrael", to indoctrinate the deceased before his burial by the sheikh "O Abdullah" so that it would become clear after that that it was a "fad". Stopping it, Al-Fatah who was roaming the streets of the country in search of prey in order to cure diseases and read the horoscope, so he would have dinner and find him a place to stay and get some money and old clothes, pick up any crumb of bread from the ground, kiss it and put it on a high place.

Many are "hogs" that have fallen and disappeared, and most of them are hoaxes that are still common and valid among people, and Ghassan Kanafani is present here strongly, in his unfinished novel "The Blind and the Deaf" who, despite their disabilities, agree to go and examine one of these hoaxes, the tree of the ruler Abdel Ati Atrash lifts his blind friend on his shoulders and feels the "head" and discovers that it is just a fungus that has grown inside the branches of the tree.

Ghassan does not stop at this point in exposing the "khazala" by the "atrash" who works as an employee in the distribution of supplies in the UNRWA, as he sees people but does not hear them and does not understand their screams, and the "blind man" who works in an oven that sells bread, does not see them, but he does not see them. He hears them, his fingers feel the loaves of bread is his way of seeing. However, their victory over the governor Abd al-Ati opened the way for them towards the superstitions of the revolution in the person of the usurper "Mustafa", who seeks prestige, wealth and power, and for which he may be forced to participate in the fighting; He displays his revolver, carries a metal emblem on his chest, puts a bloody map of Palestine on the wall of his office, and lectures about patriotism and sacrifice for the sake of the homeland.

In their decisions, Al-Atrash and Al-Ama realize that after discovering the falsity and delusion of the saint's miracle, Abd Al-Ati, and freeing people from his power over them, they are more powerful than the opportunist "Mustafa" despite their disability.

In Ghassan's fifties, which coincides with Eid al-Adha, we acknowledge that we are still facing many other superstitions. We may need another fifty years to knock them out and uproot them with sacrifices, sufferings and struggles that increase the opening of more of our graves. "The graves of the revolution are without culture, and culture is without revolution." Happy new year to our revolution and our people.

Who killed Ryan?

Written by: Dr. Ramzi Odeh

The Israeli army did not kill Rayan!, With this result, the Israeli occupation army’s investigation report concluded that the seven-year-old Palestinian child, Rayan Suleiman, from the occupied town of Tuqu’ was killed.

Rayan was martyred as a result of the fear he felt when the Israeli forces stormed his house while they were looking for suspected children who threw stones at the settler cars moving in abundance on the main road of the town of Tuqu' in the south of Bethlehem. This fear occurred as a result of the occupation army’s terror and intimidation of civilians, and it not only affected Rayan, but also affected the children of Mrs. Hana Abu Haikal in Tel Rumeida in the Old City of Hebron, who submitted more than 30 complaints, to no avail, against the Israeli police and groups of settlers who stormed her house With their sniffer dogs, they terrorize her children almost every night.

This fear also afflicted 1,300 children who were arrested by the occupation forces in the previous year 2021. This fear is the same that afflicted the families and children of families whose homes were raided by the occupation forces, whose number this year exceeded more than 2,128 cases of raids, according to the OCHA report. .

Unfortunately, everyone in Palestine lives in an environment of fear, at the Israeli checkpoints, and on the roads that connect cities and are dotted with army and settler cars, and during the repeated incursions of the army and settlers. On the other hand, the occupation army systematically and planned to spread everywhere in the West Bank, to frequent house raids, to open fire, to interrogate children and women, to kill civilians, with the aim of spreading fear among Palestinian civilians, imposing domination on them, and preventing them from From thinking of doing any activity against the occupation!

It is clear that the Israeli investigation reports do not recognize the fear resulting from the presence of the occupation and its crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories, as a crime attached to the existence of the crime of occupation! Also, these reports do not recognize international law or the Geneva Conventions, which guarantee the necessity of respecting the dignity of civilians in times of war, preventing them from being intimidated, and preventing raids on their homes, schools, and places of worship in their areas. Not only that, but the results of the Israeli Occupation Army's report on the killing of the child, Rayan, did not mention the word "fear", nor the word "breaking into Rayan's house" because it realizes that the existence of such words would hold its army criminally responsible. In addition, the report tried to hide the fact that the father "Abu Rayan" and his children were interrogated in a humiliating manner. The report stated that the interrogation was outside the house and gently!. Yes, it is true, they are very kind!, they are armed to the teeth, they scream, they shoot, they arrest and beat them, they drive police dogs, they break into homes, they are really kind.. and certainly there is no logical justification for the death of the child Ryan because of fear!

In fact, I did not seek in this article to refute the occupation army's report on Rayan's death, simply because it was a weak report and did not provide any evidence of its findings. However, I wanted from this article to clarify the policy of double standards pursued by Western countries.

We all remember the laws adopted by some European courts, especially the French, to ban the veil in public places because the veil "scares children and exposes them to nightly obsessions." Here, I am not talking about the morality or immorality of the niqab, but I propose, on the other hand, an approach for these Western countries to address those fears, obsessions, terror and anxiety among the children of Palestine, resulting from the presence of the occupation army and its repeated crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories. If the children of Europe are afraid of seeing a woman wearing the niqab, how about the children of Palestine when they see an army armed to the teeth violating their right to a decent life and security?

Churches call on London not to transfer its embassy to Jerusalem

Jerusalem - (AFP) - Today, Monday, the churches of Jerusalem expressed their "grave concern" about the United Kingdom's declared intention to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to the city of Jerusalem, as the United States did.

Last month, British Prime Minister Liz Terrace told her Israeli counterpart, Yair Lapid, of her intention to "review the current location of the British Embassy in Israel," a declaration welcomed by Israel and condemned by the Palestinians.

Such a decision would follow in the footsteps of former President Donald Trump's controversial decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem in 2018, a measure left behind by Joe Biden.

Jerusalem church leaders on Monday expressed their "grave concern" that Britain would follow the example of the United States, according to a joint statement.

The churches consider Israel's occupation and annexation of East Jerusalem, which the Palestinians aspire to make as the capital of their future state, "unacceptable," and called on the UK to "redouble its diplomatic efforts" to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict instead of moving the embassy.

For the United Nations, the status of Jerusalem must be the subject of agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and in the meantime, countries should not open their embassies in Israel there.

The churches said that "the current religious situation in Jerusalem is necessary to maintain harmony in the Holy City and good relations between religious communities around the world."

His daughter wishes her wedding in his presence.. Tariq Qaadan's family suffers in his constant absence

Jenin - "Quds" dot com - Ali Samoudi - The family of the captive Islamic Jihad leader, Sheikh Tariq Hussein Qa'dan (50 years old), expressed their denunciation and anger at the occupation's decision to transfer him to administrative detention for a period of 4 months, under the pretext of the secret file, which he is missing again. His family, especially his daughter, who was preparing for her wedding before his last abduction from his home in the town of Arraba.

His wife, Umm Khaled, told Al-Quds.com that the intelligence rejected the court’s decision to release him on bail, and decided to grant him administrative detention as part of its continuous targeting of him, despite his suffering from several chronic diseases, thus joining his captive sister, Mona Qa’dan, who has been detained since April of last year. And sentenced to imprisonment for 18 months.

She mentioned that the occupation forces stormed her home in the town of Arraba, southwest of Jenin, at dawn on the 30th of last June, and after searching and arresting him, after about two weeks without an indictment being filed against him, the intelligence services transferred him to administrative detention for a period of four months, despite a previous court decision to release him on bail.

Qadan faces administrative detention again in the Israeli occupation prisons. He is a former prisoner who has been arrested 18 times since 1989, 14 of which were administrative detentions.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that what the detainee Qa’dan is exposed to is a continuous process of revenge against him, as he spent 12 years in the occupation prisons, most of which were under administrative detention, and he is one of the detainees targeted by the occupation through this crime, by arresting him under the pretext of having a “secret file.” .
