Rayan and Awadeh continue their hunger strike
Ramallah - "Al Quds" dot com - The two detainees , Raed Rayan and Khalil Awadeh , continue their open hunger strike in rejection of their administrative detention, and the occupation refuses to this day to respond to their demand to end their administrative detention.
The Captive Club confirmed in a statement that they are facing serious health conditions, which are exacerbating with the passage of time, in addition to a number of systematic abusive policies aimed at undermining and putting pressure on them, as they remain to this day in "Ramla" prison.
The detainee, Raed Rayan (28 years old), from the town of Beit Duqqu / Jerusalem, has been on hunger strike for 101 days, and has been in administrative detention since 3/11/2021, when an administrative detention order was issued against him for a period of six months, and the order was renewed for the second time for a period of 6 months. Note that he is a former detainee who spent nearly 21 months under administrative detention.
While the detainee Khalil Awawda (40 years old) from the town of Ithna / Hebron resumed his hunger strike on 7/2/2022, after he suspended it earlier after 111 days of the strike, based on promises to release him, but the occupation reneged on his promise, and issued a A new administrative detention order is issued against him for a period of four months, noting that he has been detained since 27/12/2021, when the occupation issued an administrative detention order against him for a period of six months, and his detention order was renewed for the second time for a period of four months, and he is married and the father of four children, and a former prisoner who spent years in occupation prisons.
