Police in Gaza: Two dead in an anti-drug mission
Gaza - "Jerusalem" dot com - The General Directorate of Police in the Gaza Strip announced, on Tuesday evening, the killing of a drug dealer and one of the criminals, during a mission to arrest the first.
According to the statement, the first victim was Wassim Kamal Al-Aqraa (37 years old), one of the most dangerous drug dealers and wanted in several cases, and he injured two members of the police by gunfire during a mission to arrest him on (August 19, 2022).
While the second victim was Nasr Samir Al-Aqra' (33 years old), who had previous criminal records.
It indicated that the mission was carried out based on information and investigations stating that the aforementioned wanted man was in the Zawaida area in the central Gaza Strip to bring a quantity of narcotic substances, as a police force from the Drug Enforcement Administration ambushed the aforementioned wanted man this evening in that area to arrest him.
She said: When the vehicle in which the aforementioned person was traveling approached the ambush area, the police force asked him to stop, but he refused to do so.
She pointed out that all the injured were taken to the hospital to receive treatment, but he died later, noting that the competent police agencies have taken legal procedures in the case.
The police confirmed that it continues with full force and firmness to pursue dealers and promoters of poisons and narcotic substances. In order to protect the Palestinian society from its deadly dangers, stressing that it will continue to strike with an iron fist on anyone who begged himself to break the law and shoot at police or security personnel who are doing their duty to maintain security and stability.
