Al-Quds Brigades: The new leaders are the ones who led the battle

The military spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades, "Abu Hamza," said, "New leaders succeeded the martyred leaders and concluded the battle for the revenge of the free men with a missile strike in the rear as a message and salutation to the martyrs, and they carried out their tasks to the fullest."

Abu Hamza confirmed in a statement, Sunday evening, that the occupation’s approach to assassinating the leaders as a policy to end the resistance project has become useless, pointing out that the military apparatus is at its best.

He said: "The criminal Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to go to an image of victory through the blood of our brave leaders, so the response from the field was with a new tactic, during which the Zionist depth became the closest place to the Gaza Strip."

He added: "5 days ago, it was like angry thunder over the heads of the Zionist bastards. It began with a Zionist treachery that only expresses a defeated army and a government in crisis."

And he continued: "We have rammed Tel Aviv and its entire surroundings, Jerusalem and the cities of the depth with hundreds of missiles, and we have introduced new targets into the range of fire."

And he continued: "We proved, with our revenge for the free people, our total commitment to defending our sanctity, the blood of our fighters and our people, and we will remain so, carrying the commandments of the martyrs until freedom and all of Palestine."

Life in the Gaza Strip returns to normal after a bloody wave of tension with "Israel"

Life returned to normal in the coastal Gaza Strip, home to more than two million people, this morning (Sunday), thanks to an agreement brokered by Egypt that ended a bloody wave of tension between the Islamic Jihad movement and Israel.

With the rising of the morning sun, the movement of public and private vehicles resumed, while banks, government and private institutions, and shops opened their doors in preparation to receive their customers after 5 days of complete closure.

Muhammad Saada, owner of clothes in the center of Gaza City, expressed his happiness at the return of life in Gaza to normal, after days of military confrontation between the Palestinian armed factions and Israel over a period of 5 days.

Saada told Xinhua that the residents of the Gaza Strip experienced "difficult and bitter days during the confrontation, the markets were closed, and the streets were empty of pedestrians," expressing his hope to live in peace and quiet away from any confrontation.

Simultaneously, thousands of fishermen in the Strip, who work on more than 700 boats, returned to practice their work inside the sea again in an effort to earn a living, provided that the educational process resumes in universities, schools and kindergartens tomorrow.

The Israeli authorities reopened the Kerem Shalom/Kerem Shalom commercial crossings, the only commercial crossing for goods and fuel in the south of the Strip, and Beit Hanoun/Erez, designated for individuals, patients and workers in the north, after they were closed with the onset of the current wave of tension.

A statement from the Presidential Committee for the Coordination of Goods in the Palestinian Authority said that the Israeli authorities began to enter fuel for the only power plant in Gaza through the crossing as scheduled, and trucks loaded with fodder, grain and humanitarian aid.

Officials in the Gaza Electricity Company considered that the entry of fuel to the power plant will have a positive impact on the work of the station, which was to stop tomorrow due to a lack of fuel due to the closure of the Kerem Shalom crossing.

The sector needs 550 megawatts per day, and all that is available does not exceed 150 megawatts produced by the only power plant in the sector or through transmission lines from the Israeli side.

In addition, the civil defense teams and the electricity and water crews were busy repairing faults in the networks as a result of the Israeli air strikes, while the Ministry of Interior called on citizens not to approach the destroyed buildings for fear of the presence of unexploded Israeli shells.

On the other hand, the owners of the destroyed houses were sad and angry, who were preoccupied with checking their properties and searching for any belongings that were not affected by the Israeli attacks that carry the beautiful memories they lived through.

And on the ruins of a 4-storey house housing 8 families comprising about 40 individuals, including 7 people with special needs, in the northern Gaza Strip, Najah Nabhan was standing screaming about the guilt they committed for destroying her house.

Najah Nabhan told Xinhua that the families were forced to leave the house quickly after receiving a call from the Israeli intelligence that it had been bombed, noting that the people who were there left and their memories and necessities remained buried under the rubble.

Najah, while she was crying, called for providing housing for family members until a suitable solution is found and the house is rebuilt again, in addition to providing treatment for people with special needs, which was buried under the rubble of the house.

Sometimes the Israeli intelligence informs the residents of the house a short time ago, quickly evacuating it within minutes, because it will be bombed by Israeli warplanes, and at other times it is targeted without prior warning in the event that wanted persons are present in it, which leads to deaths and injuries.

There was no official Israeli comment on the bombing of apartments and residential homes, except for what was issued by the Israeli army spokesman, Avichai Adraei, in separate statements indicating that warplanes and drones attacked military sites and headquarters of the Islamic Jihad Army.

Islamic Jihad announced last night that an agreement had been reached between the movement and Israel, mediated by Egypt, on a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip within the framework of a new formula that includes stopping the killing of civilians and the bombing of their homes.

The agreement entered into force at 10:00 pm local time.

A prominent leader in the movement, Khaled al-Batsh, said in a statement that the commitment of his movement and the factions to the truce "depends on the extent of the occupation's commitment to it and the extent of its respect for the pledges it made to the mediators during the efforts to stop the aggression."

The Hebrew public radio quoted "a senior political source as saying that the implementation of the ceasefire will be tested in practice, warning that Israel will respond to any violation of the ceasefire agreement."

In a press statement distributed to journalists, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas praised the great efforts made by Egypt to reach a truce agreement and stop "the aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip."

Abbas said that the active Egyptian role in reaching the truce agreement and stopping "the aggression on the Gaza Strip reflects the strength and specificity of the Egyptian-Palestinian relations and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's keenness and personal interest in the Palestinian cause and the rights of our people."

In turn, the Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, considered that the Israeli practices "will not discourage our people from continuing their legitimate struggle in order to obtain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is their right to self-determination, obtaining their freedom, establishing their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and guaranteeing the right of return for refugees."

Shtayyeh instructed, according to a statement issued by him, a copy of which Xinhua received, to the Ministry of Health and all relevant ministries, to provide medical supplies and immediate relief aid to the residents of the Strip.

In a statement, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) expressed its thanks to Egypt for its efforts to reach and sponsor a cease-fire agreement, and to Qatar and the United Nations for their efforts to help reach this agreement.

In the context, the United Nations envoy for the peace process in the Middle East, Tor Winsland, welcomed the announcement of the cease-fire in Gaza and Israel, expressing his deep sorrow over the loss of life and injuries, including children and women.

In a statement he issued, he commended Egypt for its efforts to help restore calm, calling on all parties to respect the ceasefire and immediately restore access to humanitarian aid and all social and economic measures to support livelihoods in Gaza.

The latest round of tension began after Israel targeted 3 leaders of the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, inside their homes and apartments in the Strip at dawn last Tuesday, killing them and a number of their families in an operation the Israeli army called "The Defensive Arrow."

After about 35 hours of silence, the joint operations room of the armed Palestinian factions, to which the Islamic Jihad and Hamas groups belong, responded by launching a barrage of rockets at Israel in an operation called "Revenge of the Free."

Later, the Israeli army responded by targeting new leaders, Islamic Jihad military sites, houses, apartments, and agricultural lands in various areas of the Strip, while the armed factions continued to fire rockets at southern and central Israel.

As a result, 33 Palestinians were killed, including 5 children, 4 women, two elderly people, and 6 leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades, in exchange for the killing of two people in a missile strike, one of them Israeli and another Palestinian from Gaza working in Israel, according to Palestinian and Israeli statistics.

The Israeli army stated in a statement that 1,469 rockets were fired from Gaza during the round of fighting, 1,139 of which crossed the separation fence, while the "Iron Dome" system intercepted 439 rockets, while 291 exploded inside the Strip and 39 fell into the sea, pointing to the bombing of 422 targets in Gaza by Islamic Jihad.

This is the worst wave of tension in the Gaza Strip since August last year, when about 49 Palestinians, including 19 children, were killed in Israeli raids that lasted for three days.

Israel waged 4 wars against the Hamas-controlled Strip from 2008 to 2021, in addition to a large number of rounds of tension, which left thousands of Palestinian dead and massive destruction of homes and infrastructure.

Haniyeh: Our people fought a battle of steadfastness in the face of the occupation

The head of the political bureau of the "Hamas" movement, Ismail Haniyeh, said on Sunday that the Palestinian people have fought, over the past few days, one of the battles of steadfastness and resistance against the Israeli occupation, which carried out the treacherous assassination of three leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, and their families and children.

Haniyeh added in a press statement, "The enemy thought that its crime could be passed without deterrence from our people and our valiant resistance, but the resistance forces, through the Joint Operations Room, took the initiative and managed the (Revenge of the Free) operation, and proved, as in every confrontation with the abominable occupier, their ability and determination." ".

And he continued: "The resistance responded harshly to this arrogance, and thwarted the enemy's attempt to impose new equations, whether by singling out the Al-Quds Brigades, or putting a wedge between the resistance forces that realized its goals, and worked unified, in harmony and integration among its components to defend our people and achieve the goals it set and implement." Appropriate field tactics of decisions and strikes. like he said.

He stressed that the resistance was aware and able to control the rhythm of the battle and miss the opportunity for the enemy and prevent it from achieving its goals, and even forced it to deport its settlers from the cover of the sector and take harsh measures in every place that the resistance bursts into, and this was accompanied by a leadership movement that formed the political cover for the steadfastness of our people and their blessed resistance.

Haniyeh conveyed greetings and high appreciation to the Joint Operations Room, which ably embraced and managed the battle of (Revenge of the Free), especially the Al-Quds Brigades, for the pioneering role it played within the framework of the joint resistance room, which confirmed the unity of the resistance in the field and in politics, and this is one of the most important factors in thwarting the plans of the occupation. . According to him.

The head of the political bureau of Hamas added, "First, by the grace of God, and then by our great people's embrace of their victorious and unified resistance, we succeeded in confusing the occupation's accounts and striking its security systems, especially the so-called Iron Dome or David's Sling, and the resistance has established its ability to strike every place in the entity despite its boasts of military and technical capabilities.

Haniyeh mourned the martyrs who died during this open battle with the occupation, whether the heroes of the resistance or the children, women and civilians who were treacherously killed.

And he stressed that this pure blood, which mixed at the same time with the blood of the martyrs in the rebellious West Bank, will not be in vain, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded. like he said.

Turkish voters cast their ballots in pursuit of a "revolution" and "unity"

Even before voting began, long lines stretched Sunday in front of polling stations in major cities in Turkey and among the voters, 19-year-old Sela, who said, "They have been there since I was born, I want change!"

Sirin, 19, who is attending university exams, takes selfies with her electoral card and says of her first vote, "I am very excited, so I came so early."

A number of people opposed to the regime refuse to mention their last names in a country where they fear reprisals.

There are five million voters like these two young women, voting for the first time in these presidential and legislative elections.

The number of registered voters in Turkey reaches 64 million in about 200,000 polling stations, some of whom are determined to "restore their dignity" and others to "move forward" between boredom, hope and fear of tomorrow.

Nurka Sauer, wearing a headscarf, casts her vote in the conservative Uskudar neighborhood that supports the outgoing president on the Asian side of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, explaining, "I say + continue + with Erdogan."

In this neighborhood, Recep Tayyip Erdogan voted at noon, amid tight police protection.

"We were under good governance and things will get better," she said, despite the economic crisis.

For his part, Recep Turktan, 67, said, "What matters is that Turkey not be divided," which has a population of 85 million and is deeply divided.
On the other side of the Bosphorus, on the streets of the European district of Sisli, there is also a desire for unity. "Whether we are religious, secular, communist or otherwise, we should all live together in harmony," says Handi Teekay, 55.

The campaign, which was dominated by the issue of inflation, ended on Saturday at 18:00 (15:00 GMT) without any indications to reveal whether the results were in favor of Erdogan or Kemal Kilicdaroglu, head of the Republican People's Party (Social-Democratic), a candidate of a broad coalition of opposition.

"The economy is not a priority. We must start with the basic issues: restoring human rights, democracy and restoring our dignity," Handi Teekay said.

Next to her, Alfie Amenchi, wearing jeans and a tattoo on his hand, says, "To put it simply, we want the French Revolution: 'equality, freedom, fraternity', because all this has been lost in the past twenty years."

Erdogan has been in power since 2003, first as prime minister until 2014 and then as president.

Alvi Aminci is one of thousands of observers dispatched by the CHP to monitor the smooth running of the elections. The volunteer, who has been trained for three months and is assisted by a lawyer, monitors elections in a small Armenian school in Istanbul.

There, in the hall, a bronze statue of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, was erected a hundred years ago.

So far everything is going without a hitch. The controllers share coffee and pastries, and on the sidewalk three policemen talk to a pensioner who has just cast his vote. Nearby, flower sellers spread their bouquets on the sidewalks on Mother's Day in Turkey.

However, some fear that these conditions will deteriorate after the expected results are announced in the evening, after the polls close at 14:00 GMT.

"We will not celebrate in the street tonight even if the CHP wins. We have been asked to stay at home because there is a risk of violence. Fake news or not, I will wait for the results at home," Handi Teekay said.

The repercussions of Sheikh Khader Adnan's martyrdom between Palestinian Parkinson's and Israeli incitement

Attorney Ziad Abu Ziad

Attorney Ziad Abu Ziad

Opinion Writer

There is no doubt that what is happening today in the Gaza Strip is one of the repercussions of the martyrdom of the late Sheikh Khader Adnan, who constituted a phenomenon that must be stopped and studied, whether when studying the struggles of the captive movement in general, or administrative detention in particular. There is no doubt that the martyr Khader Adnan was a distinguished model for understanding the meaning of freedom and insisting on paying the price for it, even if it was his life. He was transparent and honest and did not maneuver or represent and knew the result he could reach, so he did not hesitate to write his will in advance before he surrendered his soul to God.

Looking back, I say that everyone, individually and collectively, was negligent towards the martyred sheikh with the same degree of negligence towards the suffering of the prisoners in general, as the overwhelming majority of us do not live the pain of the prisoners and the pain of their families. The reality of the matter is that there is a segment of people that pays the heavy price for resisting the occupation, and it is the minority, and a segment that lives its normal life as if public affairs do not concern them and it is the majority, with the realization that there is a segment that varies in color between the two segments.

A strike, i.e. a strike, whether it is an individual strike or a collective strike, must have the means of pressure on public opinion in order for public opinion to move and put pressure on the party against which the strike is taking place to force it to meet the demands of the strikers. In the case of Sheikh Adnan, we did not notice any real move by public opinion or the faction to which he belongs to support him or pressure to meet his demand.

Betting on the Israelis

Some have contented themselves with believing that Israel must understand that if something bad happens to Sheikh Adnan, there will be a violent reaction from the Islamic Jihad Movement. As if they were betting that the Israeli side did not wish to escalate, and that it would rectify the situation and release Sheikh Adnan before he was harmed. It has been proven that those who bet on the Israeli side miscalculated and did not take into account that those who are today in the decision-making position in Israel are racist extremists who wish death so that I would be captured, if not for every Palestinian, and that unlike what was happening in the previous times in which the sheikh practiced this The method of protesting and snatching his freedom while he was in his last breath, they will not release him.

As for after the sheikh was martyred, we were faced with two options, either to use his case and his testimony while he was practicing the highest form of peaceful resistance by going on a hunger strike, to launch a large-scale local and international campaign against the administrative detentions, which Shmuel Tamir, Minister of Justice in the first government formed by Menachem Begin in 1977, described as A model for the Nazi laws, and exposing the brutality of the occupation that abolished the application of these laws inside Israel and kept them in the occupied territories, and demanded their abolition, or an emotional response and response to the expectations of the street.

Unfortunately, the Islamic Jihad Movement found itself facing a high ceiling of public expectations and was forced not to disappoint these expectations, so it launched barrages of missiles towards Israel to "revenge" the martyr sheikh. Although these bursts did not cause harm in Israel or injuries to lives, they constituted a lifeboat for Netanyahu, whose government was suffering from a real crisis resulting from the growing popular protest movement against the legal changes it intends to make, and from the ban on Ben Jubeir and his Otzmeh Yehudit party from the government sessions. And about the vote in the Knesset, and its decline by about seven seats in world opinion polls due to its poor performance, it initiated the assassination of three leaders of the Islamic Jihad and thus tickled the emotions of the extremists, so Ben Jubeir returned to the fold and Netanyahu’s shares rose again, and he began to brag about restoring the Israeli deterrence force against the Palestinians.

It is as though I speak of the state of the Islamic Jihad, despite attempts to persuade it to restrain itself and not to respond. It says: We praise God, and He is the best disposer of affairs.” Surah Al-Imran 173.

Getting into a vicious circle

The Jihad movement retaliated in retaliation for the martyr Adnan and for the killing of its leaders, and it entered with Israel into a vicious circle of action and reaction. As time passed, Israel's achievements eroded and the crisis of its population worsened as a result of the paralysis imposed on it by the missile attacks. Israel became in a dilemma from which only reckless escalation could get it out. The most likely option, or to respond to reason and logic and rein in its extremists, which is the least likely.

As for the jihad, it proved its ability to withstand and absorb blows, and the chances of the possibility of expanding the circle of conflict and joining other parties to it increased, especially in response to any foolishness that Israel could commit in order to hasten to impose a cease-fire on the jihad.

There is no doubt that we are standing in these hours at the most dangerous crossroads, either a cease-fire and an Israeli commitment to prevent any provocations on the day of the media march next Thursday, or an escalation that opens its doors to all possibilities.

This is the seventeenth time that we have watched this movie, and it is the seventeenth, if not the millionth, evidence that Israeli leaders do the same work, expect different results, and are surprised by their stupidity, according to Einstein. The bombing of the Gaza Strip or even its occupation will not bring security to the Israelis, as it may achieve some calm for a while, but soon a new round of fighting will follow as long as the occupation still exists and as long as there are right-wing elements in Israel seeking to perpetuate the occupation and settlement and persist in their attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Christian sanctities and Islamic.

The picture is bleak on both sides. On the Palestinian side, the simplest thing to say about the matter is that it is "a bowl and a waste", or that we live in "the neighborhood of everyone whose hand is a god."

Palestinian Parkinson's... "a bowl and a waste"

There is no single leadership for the Palestinian people. Rather, the Palestinian body politic is afflicted with Parkinson's disease and every member vibrates and works on its own. The absence of a unified leadership and a body that is in harmony with itself and disciplined in its movements leads to the absence of a national strategy and unified action, which makes each member capable of confusing or harming other members or exposing them to unaccounted risks without having a trick or an opinion.

On the Israeli side, there is a government that is under the control of a person who has his own personal program to escape the grip of the judiciary, and it is hostage to the extreme right and is subject to blackmail on its part and lacks the ability to take any political initiative that takes it out of the cycle of action and reaction.

If we assume that Israel will succeed in assassinating a number of resistance leaders, killing tens or perhaps hundreds of unarmed Palestinian citizens, and destroying tens or even hundreds of homes, it will not be able to break the will of the Palestinian people.

Reaching any cease-fire agreement, if not within the framework of a political initiative to end the occupation, will be just a temporary halt, after which things will explode again, more violently than before.

The only way out of this cycle is Israel's admission of its failure to end the conflict by force, and to undertake a political initiative based on recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and self-determination, and to engage with them in a political process to end the occupation through a neutral international mechanism that recognizes their rights and believes that peace can only be achieved through equality and justice. And the realization of the inalienable or bargaining rights of the Palestinian people. Without that we will still get out of a round to stop and wait for the next round.

Iranian messaging applications are proliferating in light of the blocking of the Internet

With WhatsApp and Instagram blocked in Iran under the strict restrictions imposed on the internet, millions of Iranians have turned to local messaging apps such as Ita and Robeca to stay connected on social networks.

In recent months, Iranians have had to adapt to the measures taken by the authorities while preventing them from accessing the two most used applications in the Islamic Republic, after the outbreak of the protest movement following the killing of Mahsa Amini in mid-September after she was arrested for violating the dress code in the Islamic Republic.

Millions of people commented at the time on the girl's death on social networks, and the authorities responded by placing a series of unprecedented barriers and restrictions on the network, condemning "movements by the counter-revolutionaries through social sites."

Authorities have suspended indefinitely access to virtual private networks used by tens of millions of people and many companies.

On the other hand, the authorities encouraged Internet users to switch to Iranian applications supported by the state.

According to figures released by Communications Minister Isa Zarepour at the end of April, about 89 million people use one of the four main applications, Eta, Robeca, Soroush and Bella.

Zaripur, who does not have an account on any of the foreign platforms, warned that WhatsApp and Instagram will not be allowed to resume work unless they have a legal representative in the country.

But Mita, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, said it had no plans to set up an office in Iran.

In an effort to attract Internet users, the government has moved some electronic administrative services to national platforms.

New York-based digital security expert Amir Rashidi explained that "users have needs" that push them to use it despite their security and confidentiality concerns.

"If you are Iranian, what do you do if you can only enroll in a university through one of these applications?" he asked.

Kikhchro Heidari Nejad, a 23-year-old developer, explained that he downloaded these platforms "in order to use the services provided by the state and only work on them," but he added, "I only downloaded them on the mobile phone that I do not use daily," noting that they do not involve "a clear policy in terms of secrecy.”

For his part, Mansour Roghani, 65, a retired municipal employee, said that he does not need Iranian applications, explaining, "The topics that interest me and the friends I communicate with are not on Iranian platforms," and therefore, "I rather use Telegram and WhatsApp, and browse Instagram, as my virtual private network allowed me to do so."

In an effort to speed up the transition to local applications, the Ministry of Communications linked four national platforms to allow their users to communicate with each other.

Amir Rashidi said, "The government is trying to link these applications to achieve the maximum possible number of users," noting that the applications will thus receive "financial and technical support."

The authorities are seeking to complete the development of the "Iranian National Information Network" to be a local Internet network that allows national platforms to operate even when access to the global Internet is cut off, according to Zare Pour.

Ali Rashidi believes that the completion of the development of this network will allow the government to "suspend the Internet at the lowest possible cost."

The government's goals are not limited to controlling the Internet, but rather it seeks to protect itself from electronic attacks coming from abroad after being subjected to a number of such attacks in recent decades.

The operation is a message to the "axis". Here are the highlights of what the Hebrew newspapers reported about the round of fighting in Gaza

On Sunday, the Hebrew newspapers focused on the end of the military round of fighting on the front of the Gaza Strip, after 5 days, which was called "Shield and Arrow" by the Israelis, while the Palestinians called it "Revenge of the Free."

The Hebrew newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, indicated that the Islamic Jihad Movement succeeded in continuing to fire rockets even after the time when the cease-fire entered into force, pointing to the reopening of the Gaza Strip crossings and the return to normal life in the Gaza Strip, and the settlements surrounding the Strip.

The newspaper quoted the mayor of Sderot, Alon Davidi, as saying that the operation was good, especially after the targeted assassinations, which indicate a change in Israeli policy, expressing his hope that it will continue.

The newspaper says that after the completion of the operation in Gaza, attention is now turned to the march of flags that will be organized in Jerusalem on Thursday, which Islamic Jihad tried to link with what is happening in the Strip.

According to the newspaper, the Israeli police, at this stage, do not intend to change their course by passing through Damascus Gate in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

In another report in the newspaper, its military correspondent, Yossi Yehoshua, described the operation as one of the most successful operations of the Israeli army and the Shin Bet security service in the Gaza Strip, claiming that the Islamic Jihad had received a severe blow that may be the most severe it has suffered so far at the hands of Israel, especially after losing most of its elite in a precise liquidation process. From the first strike until the last moment.

Yehoshua claimed that the Islamic Jihad had encountered difficulties in directing a large barrage of missiles towards Israel, pointing out that the most severe strike was the fall of the missile in Rohovot, which the Israeli army is investigating the circumstances of its fall and the failure of the dome to intercept it.

He claimed that the Israeli army is satisfied with the defense system after it recorded a success rate of about 95%, according to the interception policy followed.

And he considered that the manner in which the operation ended could be considered a partial Israeli achievement, especially since the army was planning for it to end as soon as possible, noting that the political level benefited from Egyptian pressure as well as from Hamas in order to reach a cease-fire, at a time when it was pressing Iran attacked Islamic Jihad for not agreeing to it, but the movement agreed under those pressures to a cease-fire.

He believed that the Islamic Jihad and its sponsors in Tehran had suffered a blow, which came from Israel's point of view at an appropriate time, given their recent audacity.

For his part, Ron Ben-Yishai, a security and military commentator in Yedioth Ahronoth, says that the operation was primarily aimed at making the Islamic Jihad leadership sitting in Beirut think twice and three times before ordering their men in Gaza to fire rockets at Israel, whether because of the situation in Al-Aqsa. Or because of a prisoner's hunger strike, or simply to harm Israelis.

Ben Yishai believes that the operation achieved this goal, but it achieved much more than that with regard to field activists in Islamic Jihad, and conveyed a clear message to their counterparts in Hezbollah and Hamas, how the Israeli intelligence locates and senior field activists and can attack them one by one during the fighting on the battlefield. Although they moved from one hideout to another, and all this at a time when Israel was maintaining international legitimacy to continue the operation.

And he saw that the achievements in Gaza - according to him - are also being absorbed in Iran, Nasrallah in Beirut, and even in Yemen, saying: "The enemies of the State of Israel and its friends have learned a useful lesson in the civil flexibility and internal cohesion that Israel shows, even when It is in the midst of a social and political division that has not been the same since its birth,” considering that this has tremendous psychological significance at this time precisely because the Iranians and their proxies, as well as the Gulf states, erred in believing that “Israel was weakened by internal conflict, and that it collapsed spontaneously from within.” as he says.

He added, "It will not force the Islamic Jihad alone to recalculate its path, but also its sponsors in Iran, as well as Hamas and Hezbollah," noting at the same time that the operation will not change the intentions of the Jihad and Hamas, but it may give us a relatively long period of calm, especially if it becomes known. The Israeli army and the Shin Bet, how to act with operational wisdom and precision in the West Bank, which appeared in conjunction with the Gaza operation.

He believed that the main problem stems from the West Bank, not the Gaza Strip, and that the Israeli right-wing government must formulate a strategy to calm the region, because the peak of its explosion may be after Mahmoud Abbas's term in power.

And he believed that there was another advantage that emerged from the operation in Gaza, which was the very significant improvement in the ability to collect intelligence information to carry out assassinations and close the circle very quickly with the operational component that carries out and supervises the attacks, referring to the development of the Shin Bet Operations Unit, whose capabilities in recent years have been Less than now, and the Air Force has proven its ability to plan and execute with the utmost precision, it is claimed.

He referred to what he said about the success of the Gaza Division in the Israeli army, which was working to catch cells firing anti-missile and mortar shells and hit them with greater success than in previous operations, which deprived the Islamic Jihad of succeeding in carrying out the launching of these rockets.

He pointed out that despite Iron Dome's success in stopping more than 90% of the missiles, according to the interception policy, the mortar shells still cause losses, pointing out that in light of the conflict with Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran, there will be a greater number of victims than in this case. This time, especially since the Islamic Jihad is less capable than others, and perhaps in this round it was less capable than before.

He says that the "unity of squares" that were being warned about, proved once again that Hamas, Hezbollah and even Iran are reluctant to enter into a conflict with Israel to help each other, and that what is promoted in the media remains there without an actual truth when one of them has to pay the price.

He pointed out that Hamas in this round did not participate explicitly in the action, but provided some operational assistance, but not on a large scale, and this was something that was noticed by the military and political echelons, but for correct tactical and strategic considerations, they chose to focus on Islamic Jihad, which suffered severe blows, and therefore Restoring deterrence in the entire region without paying a price more expensive than what was paid, and the partial differentiation between the Jihad and Hamas, allowed Israel to obtain a rehabilitation of deterrence at a relatively low economic cost and without incurring many casualties, with that the army, the Shin Bet, and the Mossad must have the same ability and the same competence Operational and intelligence operations to confront a battle on several fronts in which Iran participates.

For its part, Haaretz newspaper said in an analytical report by its correspondent and military analyst, Amos Harel, that Israel throughout the tour pinned its hopes on the Egyptian intelligence to succeed in a cease-fire, noting that the assassinations that were carried out were the ones that made it difficult to reach a quick agreement, at a time when the Jihad leadership was The Islamic in Beirut is looking for the completion of my operations before the end of the operation, and was not keen to stop the fighting.

Harel believed that the current operation showed once again that Israel has the ability to start any round, but it is difficult for it to end it, and that despite its military success and the damage it caused to the Islamic Jihad movement, it had difficulty dictating the exit strategy from the operation, at the time and circumstances in which It also does not have much to gain from continuing the operation, and the longer it lasts, the more difficult it is to locate and hit targets in Gaza, which prompted the army leadership and the Shin Bet last Thursday to recommend the political echelon to seek a cease-fire, while the continuation of The shooting would have endangered the political echelon, given the Israeli public's loss of patience.

He pointed out that the Islamic Jihad benefited from the lessons of the previous operations, especially Al-Fajr, which lasted for 3 days last August, and wanted the conflict to continue for a longer period even if it did not achieve major casualties among the Israelis, and that it viewed the ability to continue and to withstand the confrontation as an achievement in itself. .

And he considered that the Islamic Jihad had failed to draw the other factions, even the other hours, into the round, and that Hamas was comfortable to a certain extent, and preferred to stay away from the round, just as the other fronts remained watching, and the international arena did not care much about what was happening in light of the events in Ukraine and others.

He pointed out that the Israeli security establishment built hopes on the relationship between Ziyad al-Nakhala, Secretary General of Islamic Jihad, and the head of Egyptian intelligence, Abbas Kamel, but that did not lead to quick results, but the pressure exerted from Egypt yesterday, especially on the leadership of the Jihad in Gaza, as well as Abbas Kamel's pressure on Al-Nakhala and his deputy, Akram Al-Ajouri, bore fruit to reach a cease-fire agreement.

In another report by the Palestinian affairs reporter, Jackie Khoury, the newspaper said that, since 2019, Israel has focused its attacks against Islamic Jihad, at a time when Hamas has remained far from the forefront, something that Israel prefers to remain on and has no interest in finding a solution to the Gaza problem. Ensuring the continuation of the political separation with the West Bank, and providing humanitarian and economic aid to the Strip as long as there is no real strategic threat.

Accusations of "Tik Tok" of illegal practices

A former manager of “ByteDance” in the United States is suing the company that owns the “Tik Tok” application, accusing it of firing him because he gave a warning about its illegal practices.

Many US officials are calling for TikTok to be banned in the United States, stressing that the popular platform allows Beijing to collect user data without their knowledge and influence their opinions, which the application constantly denies.

According to the lawsuit filed in the San Francisco court on May 1, shortly after his appointment to his position in California in the summer of 2017, Yintao Yu discovered that ByteDance was "stealing" videos posted on rival networks Instagram and Snapchat to put on their platforms.

Yu, who was heading the engineering department at ByteDance in the US, alerted his bosses in the company, but to no avail, "The intellectual property theft continued without a hitch." Yu was dismissed from his position in November 2018.

On Friday, the plaintiff filed an amended lawsuit accusing ByteDance of "acting as a propaganda tool for the Chinese Communist Party."
Yu said he saw ByteDance highlight content that "expresses hatred of Japan," while excluding content that "expresses support for pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong."

According to the former employee, the CCP had "continuously superior access to all company data, including data stored in the United States".

Contacted by Agence France-Presse, a spokesman for the company said that ByteDance intends to "vigorously confront" these baseless allegations and accusations.

He added, "Yo worked for ByteDance for less than a year (...) He was interested in an application called Flipagram that was withdrawn from the market years ago for commercial reasons."

The plaintiff is seeking an injunction to force the company to stop the practices described in the complaint, and to obtain damages, of which it intends to pay "a substantial portion" to Asian-American civil rights organizations.

"My client is the most senior ByteDance official speaking out" about illegal practices attributed to the company, his lawyer, Charles Jung, told AFP on Saturday.

"It is concerned about the data protection of users in the United States, the ethical conduct of the application and the welfare of ByteDance employees," it added.

The issue of access to personal information of American users has been raising tension for years between the US authorities and the company, which has taken measures to ensure that this data is stored on servers in the United States.

At the end of March, during a congressional hearing, the head of TikTok Xu Qiu again denied that China had access to this data. However, a number of members of Congress questioned the validity of this claim.

The White House recently encouraged an American company to acquire TikTok so that it could continue its activities in the United States.

If Israel did not defeat the “jihad,” what would the matter be like in the future?!

Jerusalem Hadith

Jerusalem Hadith

Opinion Writer

What is remarkable is that the occupying state announced, before the aggression on the Gaza Strip, that its army is conducting training and maneuvers to be ready to fight on several fronts, if these fronts are opened simultaneously against it, which are the fronts of Syria, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, and perhaps other fronts.

If the occupying state relied in all its wars on fragmenting the fronts and isolating each front separately, and was able in many of these wars of aggression to achieve victories, then the situation now differs from the past, especially since Israel transfers the battles outside it to the inside of the lands of the targeted Arab countries.

Now there are missiles that are launched from a distance and fall inside the occupying state, and neither the Iron Dome nor anything else hinders them, and this new matter can say that it neutralized to some degree the Israeli warplanes on which the occupying state was still relying on in its attacks, whether on the Strip and the West Bank or on Arab and Islamic countries.

The thing that we would like to mention is that the occupying state, despite its sudden aggression against the Gaza Strip, thinking that it could curb the Islamic Jihad movement, and make it beg to stop the aggression, as well as the attempts of the occupying state behind this aggression to restore the eroding Israeli deterrence force, but it is clear The occupying power is concerned with stopping the aggression and agreeing with the Islamic Jihad through mediators, especially through Egypt, even though it claims otherwise.

The missiles of the Islamic Jihad and other armed resistance factions were not neutralized by the occupying state, and these missiles are still, despite their primitiveness and that they are incomparable to the military arsenal of the occupying state, supported by the United States and the Western colonial countries, led by Britain, that rain down on the towns, cities and occupation settlements.

Here we come to the saying, what one of the Israelis commented on the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu about the aggression, when he said to Netanyahu: If the Islamic Jihad movement possesses all of this from missiles and ground anti-aircraft, then what about the strength of the Hamas movement, which is many times more than what the Jihad movement possesses.

This proves that the occupying state, which is unable to neutralize the Palestinian resistance despite its attempts to fragment the factions and fronts, how can it confront several fronts at the same time?!

The occupying power must draw lessons and lessons, instead of continuing its arrogance and aggression, because the fate of these attacks will be a disaster for it, because our people, as well as the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nation, will not surrender, and will not raise the white flag despite the crimes and violations of the occupation, which mainly affect children, women, the elderly, as well as the youth.

Netanyahu and other leaders of the entity have no choice but to recognize the inalienable national rights of the Palestinian people, if they want to stop the aggression, and to recognize the facts, the most prominent of which is that our people have not and will not be defeated as long as there are Arab and Islamic peoples who form an extension of its struggle.

Will the occupying state understand this, or will it continue its crimes, which will be a disaster for its future in the region?!

The strength of the Jews is our weakness.. but the future is definitely ours
For the thousandth time I repeat that all the Jews of the world are approximately as large as the population of Cairo, and yet they control and have very great international influence. And if money is the source of their strength, then we have much more money than them, and we have oil and its derivatives equivalent to tens of times what they have in money, and we, with oil and the strategic location of the Arab world that has no equal, can control, control and impose what we want and what we see as our interest.

Despite this, and despite everything, the international Zionist influence controls many international issues and matters, and our issues come first, especially we Palestinians, who control the occupation in our land and continue its arrogance and extend its influence. Dominant and controlling the land and to some extent, in the near future.

And so that speech is not mere words in general, it is necessary to refer to our land and our future, we Palestinians in particular, and the whole land from the sea to the river was under our control and sovereignty until we reached what we are today and what we see of arrogance, tyranny, occupation of the land, and an attempt to control the future on The hands of racist Zionism and its international influence.
Tomorrow will be the 15th of May, the anniversary of the Nakba and the establishment of the occupying state, and the painful conditions we have reached today. On this occasion, President Abu Mazen went to New York to deliver a speech at the United Nations, in which he talks about what we are suffering from occupation, displacement, displacement, and land theft. He responded to any international decision or statement.

The big and crucial question is where are we going and what are the actual future possibilities? The practical answer is clear and strong, which is that the future is definitely ours, and that the occupation will end, whether the time is long or short, and various and many occupying foreign forces passed through our country, but they passed and left no trace except what history wrote, and we stayed on our land that remained ours and returned to us after it was defeated The invaders left forever.

The steadfast Gaza
The Gaza Strip, with its dense population, is subject to massive and barbaric Israeli aggression. The occupation forces have carried out assassinations of a number of senior Palestinian leaders, and they thought that they would eliminate the resistance, but they were surprised by the violent missile response and the cohesion and unity of the forces behind their national goals and their defense of their land and their future. And we will certainly have the last word, and the land will remain for its owners, and the future for its children and defenders. The Gaza Strip is a strong example of this situation, because despite the aggression and paralysis that hangs over all its neighborhoods, the future is definitely ours.

The memory of Shirin's assassination... will remain immortal in our history
A year after the assassination of the activist and journalist, the role model Sherine Abu Aqleh, the United States decided to follow the Israeli position that contradicts all laws and rights in this case and close the file on holding the killers accountable. An official American spokesman claimed that there was no intention in this case, which he described as tragic, although the video scenes that were broadcast by more than one media site confirm the intentional killing, and there were multiple possibilities to arrest her, and she only had a camera covering what she saw of the practices she saw, and she was not pose any danger or threat to anyone.

In any case, Sherine Abu Aqelah will remain a flag raised and lofty, characterized by all humanity and search for the truth, and her memory will remain immortal in hearts and minds.

Will Israel change the existing equation in the Gaza Strip?

Ibrahim Abrash

Ibrahim Abrash

Opinion Writer

For the current round of aggression on the Gaza front, it may be the seventh since 2008 between war and escalation, and in each round there is talk of a truce or calm, and Israel says that it has achieved its goals despite being subjected to dozens and sometimes hundreds of missiles being fired at the towns surrounding Gaza and its main cities, and the same thing. As for the resistance factions, which always talk about their victory, even though more than four thousand martyrs and thousands of wounded fell during these confrontations, and destruction and destruction of the infrastructure without liberating even one inch of Palestine or lifting the siege on Gaza. They also continue to develop their missile capabilities and officially declare their hostility to Israel and their rejection of the peace process. .

Despite the passage of years of this situation, Israel deals with a long-term policy with the factions in Gaza and is patient with the missiles it is exposed to that harm its deterrence force. It justifies this by saying that the continuation of Hamas rule in Gaza serves Israel strategically by perpetuating the division and separation between Gaza and the West Bank and making it legitimate A Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza, with Jerusalem as its capital, is impossible to achieve, and this is what Netanyahu repeated more than once in his response to his opponents in the government, such as Ben Gvir. Also, this situation in Gaza diverts attention from its real battle over the West Bank and Jerusalem to complete its settlement projects.

The question that comes to mind: How long will the next equation in Gaza last after the peace process stops and the majority of the West Bank and Jerusalem are under Israeli control? And if Israel is betting on neutralizing Hamas from the arena of confrontation with the economic and financial facilities it has enabled it to do, is there any guarantee that the situation will continue as it is, especially after the departure/expulsion of the majority of Hamas leaders from the Muslim Brotherhood who participated in creating division from the Gaza Strip? And how long will the racist Zionist entity, led by a right-wing, racist, terrorist, extremist government, be patient with the development of the resistance factions in Gaza, especially the Jihad movement for its missile capabilities and the absence of security and safety, at a time when this entity threatens to strike Iran and seeks a Jewish state that extends from the Nile to the Euphrates and boasts that it is the greatest state in the East Middle? How long will Hamas rule remain stable and the power equation in Gaza not change?

We recall these questions while we are witnessing the current round of escalation. Although Israel knew that the Islamic Jihad would respond to the assassination of its three leaders at dawn on Tuesday, the ninth of May, by firing missiles, yet it did so and continues to carry out assassinations and rejects any truce, and this raises questions about Israel's goals. from this process?

We believe that Israel's goals are not only the assassination of the leaders of the jihad, and not only for internal calculations, whether to appease Ben Gvir and Smotrich, who want to deal harshly with Hamas and Gaza, or Netanyahu's attempt to divert attention from his internal crisis and accusations of corruption against him. Rather, it has long-term strategic goals, including: an attempt to create Sedition and civil war inside the Strip between the Jihad movement and Hamas, and the matter may come to the threat of Hamas to target its leaders if the Islamic Jihad does not stop firing rockets and end its armed presence in the Strip or absorb it under its authority, and perhaps Israel hopes for a discord between the Jihad movement and the people in betting that the people will revolt against the Jihad movement He holds her responsible for his suffering if the crossings continue to be closed and the normal course of life is disrupted.

However, because the success of Netanyahu's plan to create internal strife is uncertain, the enemy may seek to change the existing equation in the Gaza Strip by ending Hamas' functional role and creating a new reality in the Strip, especially if Hamas participates in the confrontation, and in this context, Hamas movement is in a difficult situation if it does not participate in the war. It will lose its credibility internally, as it will lose Iranian support and funding, and if it enters the war, its authority and leadership will be exposed to a strong reaction from Israel.

Away from the intimidation and exaggeration of some satellite channels and the political and security analysts they host and the strategists of the capabilities of the resistance and its achievement of a balance of deterrence and terror with Israel and what the resistance's missiles can achieve by forcing the enemy to submit to the conditions of resistance and the conditions of Islamic jihad as well, with our respect to the political analysts who aim to raise the morale of the people and the fighters And with our appreciation for the heroism of the fighters in the Jihad movement and all the resistance factions in all parts of Palestine....we have to recall the experience of previous wars, where thousands of rockets were fired at Israel and everyone knows the result, and therefore we wish the Islamic Jihad movement to stop firing rockets even without conditions because the battle It is not its battle alone with Israel, and it is not the battle of Gaza with Israel, but rather the battle of all Palestinians, even if those targeted for assassination are from the Jihad movement.

We hope that the confrontation will stop as soon as possible, because the Zionist enemy may resort to prolonging the war to call for international intervention and the stationing of international forces on the Gaza borders, and thus the borders of Gaza with Israel will be demarcated in preparation for declaring the Palestinian state within the framework of the two-state solution that the international community demands. Gaza to its final stage, and we do not want the Islamic Jihad movement to appear as part of this scheme.

Qatari diplomacy towards the Palestinian cause: support, endorsement and advocacy

Mofaz Ahmed Youssef

Mofaz Ahmed Youssef

A big question raised by some in the political arena: How did Qatar succeed in imposing its presence on the Palestinian scene, and becoming an important - and indispensable - player with regard to the reality of peace and war between the Palestinians and Israel? And how did it manage to be the safe haven for the leadership of Hamas, and the reference that cannot be bypassed in the movements for calm and stopping the aggression if the confrontations with the Gaza Strip raged, and the harbingers of war became imminent.

The other question: How did Qatar manage to build this level of trust with the Hamas leadership to the point where it is considered one of the most important countries with which opinions and advice are exchanged regarding mediation issues, as well as in the field of building and improving its Arab and international relations?

There is no doubt that the State of Qatar, despite its diminishing geography and limited population, has been able, through its wise and effective foreign policies and diplomacy, to achieve successes that other countries that were - historically - more ancient than it and the largest in the region, were able to accomplish. The oppressor on her behalf, and the mediation roles she played to resolve more than one conflict within the Arab region, have given her the confidence of many international players around the world.

Today, Qatar plays a pivotal role with regard to the conflict between the Palestinians - especially Hamas - and the Israelis, and its presence has become required for the success of any mediation between the two parties, in the context of strengthening the Egyptian efforts that follow up on this file, as it constitutes its national security.

Palestine and Qatar.. an early humanitarian gesture

The follower of the Qatari role with regard to the Palestinian cause will witness a distinguished presence, by providing all forms of political, material and moral support for many years, and this is what strengthened confidence in Qatar’s positions and foreign policy, even if the roots of the relationship with the Palestinians go back to the mid-fifties, when hundreds of them flocked to work In the education sector as teachers, and among them were prominent personalities from the Brotherhood organization, from whose mercy many Fatah movement leaders emerged.

The State of Qatar in the Palestinian imagination is one of the Gulf countries that granted a safe haven to the Palestinians after the Nakba of 1948, and this memory has been nourished by many aspects of the credit provided by Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and his son, His Highness Sheikh Tamim, from the mid-nineties to the present day.

As we tracked the Qatari positions towards the Palestinian cause in all international forums, we found the constant affirmation by its Emir that Qatar will not give up supporting its brothers in Palestine because of its belief in their just cause, and in fulfillment of its moral responsibility that necessitates standing with the right and supporting the oppressed.

In all of Sheikh Tamim's foreign tours and visits, the Palestinian cause and its support represent a constant item in his talks with all world leaders, just as Palestinian developments and the rights of the Palestinian people remain present without absence, and he puts the world and the international community before his responsibilities towards Palestine and its cause.

Hamas and Qatar... a historical view

When Hamas won the legislative elections in January 2006, and the tenth government was formed headed by Ismail Haniyeh, there were American objections and international rejection of it, and this matter was reflected in its relations with the authority and President Mahmoud Abbas, in addition to the financial distress that has become threatening its institutions. Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh’s contacts with His Highness Sheikh Hamad to inform him of the difficult financial conditions that the Gaza Strip is going through, especially the education and health sectors, found urgent Qatari calls for help, and this situation remained in place to alleviate the pressures of the unjust siege that Ismail Haniyeh’s government was subjected to, which intensified. After the tragic internal events that took place in June 2007, however, Qatar, represented by its Emir, acted as "merciful hands" and a "humanitarian and relief safety net" for the Palestinians, not only in the Gaza Strip but also in the West Bank, and this is what magnified the Palestinians' steadfastness and steadfastness on their land. and mobilize their valiant resistance to the occupation.

During the three major wars that the Gaza Strip was exposed to in the years (2008-2012-2014), and the resulting scale of tragedies, loss of life, and terrible destruction to the infrastructure in various sectors, Qatar was "the first relief and generous donor" for the reconstruction of what it destroyed. The war, and what helps the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to live at a level that preserves their human dignity for many of them.

This is on the part of aid, relief support and reconstruction, which exceeded one and a half billion dollars without aid or harm, much of which is supervised by the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, in addition to other charitable donations from Qatari non-governmental associations and institutions.

According to the reports of the Qatari Committee, there are more than 65 local companies working in relief projects, infrastructure and support for the energy and health sectors, and they have contributed to the employment of more than 100,000 professional and technical cadres directly and indirectly in Gaza, and today it is considered one of the most important pillars of stability. Also, part of the sources of income for many municipal institutions, hospitals and social affairs in the Gaza Strip belong to it.

The confidence of the Hamas leadership in the Qatari incubator did not come from a vacuum, but rather from the accumulation of positive attitudes and policies towards the movement, and the non-stop political, humanitarian and media support for our people and our Palestinian cause, as the Qatari position is considered one of the strongest and most stable Arab positions and is in harmony with international legitimacy and the rights of the Palestinian people. .

At a time when Qatar affirms that the Palestinian issue will remain the central issue of the Arab and Islamic nation and all honorable people in the world, and renews its supportive and steadfast stance towards the Palestinian people and their just cause, and stresses that it will spare no effort to work to alleviate the difficulties faced by the Palestinian people until they regain all their legitimate rights. It is inalienable, and it strongly announces its policy of rejecting Israeli policies, at a time when the Gulf region has turned - unfortunately - into an incubator for Israeli embassies and Zionist officials, and the flags of the occupying state are now being raised in Gulf countries neighboring Qatar!!

In conclusion, if we follow Qatar's positions and foreign policies on most regional and international issues, foremost of which is the issue of Palestine, we will find that it has placed itself on the right side of history. Wherever a place witnesses suffering, we notice that Qatar is strongly present on the side of those who need help and assistance. who are subjected to injustice and persecution.

In this context, he concluded with a final word of loyalty to Qatar, its Emir, its government, and its people, explaining that the World Cup sports scene last year saw Palestine as one of the most important witnesses in the presence of absence.

Zelensky is in Berlin to prepare the Kyiv counterattack

The Ukrainian president, who arrived in Berlin on Saturday night for his first visit since the start of the war in Ukraine, met with the German president, whose country wants, as a sign of solidarity, to deliver new weapons worth 2.7 billion euros to Kiev.

After Rome and the Vatican yesterday, Zelensky arrived in Germany, as he announced on his Twitter account, stressing that his visit will be devoted to the delivery of his country a "very important package" of arms shipments and the "reconstruction" of Ukraine.

According to AFP correspondents, Frank-Walter Steinmeier received Volodymyr Zelensky at Bellevue Palace, residence of the German president. Details of the Berlin visit were not immediately disclosed for security reasons.

But the German media reported that Zelensky will meet with Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the morning as well.

This step comes amid preparations for the Ukrainian army to launch a spring offensive, while Kiev and Moscow are announcing victories in and around Bakhmut.

According to Bild, Zelensky will travel to Aachen in the afternoon on a German state Airbus, protected by army fighters, to receive the Charlemagne Prize, which rewards commitment to the unification of Europe.

"For the first time in its long history, the Charlemagne Prize is rewarded for the duty to defend the basic principles of Europe, its freedom and, if necessary, by force," the director of the organizing committee of the prize, Jurgen Linden, told the Tagesspiegel newspaper.

Zelensky is currently trying to mobilize his supporters in Europe at a time when his army is preparing to launch a counter-attack in the east of the country against Russian forces, as announced weeks ago.

On the occasion of his visit, the German government announced Saturday that it is preparing a new plan to provide military aid to Ukraine worth 2.7 billion euros.

"We all want a quick end to this brutal war that Russia is waging against the Ukrainian people, but unfortunately it is not in sight. That is why Germany will provide all possible assistance as long as it is necessary," Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said.

This new aid includes dozens of tanks, armored vehicles, surveillance drones and four new Iris-T air defense systems.

A Ukrainian presidential advisor welcomed this support. But Ukraine's deputy foreign minister, Andrej Melnik, said it was not enough.

The former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany declared on "Welt TV" that "it is a pity that most of the promised defense systems are outdated (...) It is also disappointing that the German government insists on its refusal (...) to deliver fighters. This must be disposed of Ban quickly.

The United Kingdom has also just announced the supply of Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine, becoming the first country to provide this type of long-range weapon capable of hitting a target up to 250 kilometers away.

Relations between Kiev and Berlin have long been tense over military aid, with Germany criticized for being too indecisive and reticent. But it has consolidated its support in recent months.

On Thursday Zelensky announced on the BBC that he "still needs a little extra time" to launch the spring offensive to avoid heavy casualties and a breach of the Russian lines.

Kiev wants to recover lands in the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk (east), Kherson and Zaporizhia (south), and Moscow has announced its annexation.

On Saturday, the Ukrainian president met Pope Francis in the Vatican and thanked him for the "attention he gives" to the "tragedy of millions of Ukrainians".

He also met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who assured him of her "full and complete support to facilitate Kiev's gradual accession to the European Union."

On the ground, the Ukrainian army confirmed on Saturday "progress" in the vicinity of Bakhmut, where battles are taking place with Russian forces in eastern Ukraine, while Moscow confirmed its continuation of its progress in the city, which has come under its control mainly and which has been largely destroyed.

According to a Ukrainian judicial source, a Russian raid near Bakhmut on Saturday left two dead and ten wounded, including children.
The Battle of Bakhmut is the bloodiest and longest since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022.

Milan falls in front of Spezia and makes its journey towards the Champions League difficult

Milan suffered a setback in its endeavor to secure a qualifying position for the Champions League next season, by falling to its host Spezia, which is threatened with relegation, 0-2, on Saturday, in the thirty-fifth stage of the Italian Football League.

And Milan’s suffering continued this week after he entered the match in the wake of his 2-0 fall against his neighbor and “guest” Inter at the San Siro stadium in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, before the upcoming return match at the same stadium on Tuesday.

Spezia scored the first goal a quarter of an hour before the end, when Frenchman Kelvan Amiens' header bounced off the post, returning to Poland's Primislaw Visniewski, who followed it into the net.

Salvatore Esposito eliminated Milan's hopes of equalizing the score when he doubled his team's lead with a wonderful free kick and settled the ball in the top right corner (85).

The Rossoneri's balance froze at 61 points in fifth place, two points away from Inter, who will host Sassuolo later, and four from Lazio, who tied with Lecce 2-2 on Friday at the opening stage.

Roma (58 points) will be able to catch up with Milan in the event of its victory at Bologna on Sunday, while Atalanta failed to narrow the screws by falling to its host Salernitana 1-0 on Saturday, to freeze its score at 58 points.

The second Juventus (66) will have the opportunity to get closer to the Champions League when it hosts Cremonzie on Sunday.

As for Spezia, he kept his hopes of staying among the adults, raising his score to 30 points in the eighteenth place, equal with the seventeenth Verona, which hosts Turin on Sunday, and two points away from the sixteenth Lecce.

Milan played the meeting with several absences, most notably the Algerian international midfielder Ismail Ben Nasser, after his club announced Thursday that he had to undergo knee surgery, as a result of an injury he suffered during the loss against Inter.

Milan did not announce the period of Ben Nasser's absence, but he confirmed to AFP that he would not play again this season, while the newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" reported that the Algerian's absence period ranges between 3 and 4 months.

The Portuguese Rafael Leao also missed the match, similar to the Inter match, after he was injured last week during the victory at home to Lazio in his right thigh.

Liao is Milan's most powerful offensive weapon in the past two seasons, and led him to the Serie A league title last year.

And with its twelfth consecutive loss against Bayern since 2011, Schalke failed to provide services to its arch-neighbor Dortmund, and re-entered the calculations of falling to the second degree by temporarily falling to sixteenth place.

This is the third successive victory in the Bundesliga for Bayern under the supervision of its new coach, Thomas Tuchel, who replaced the dismissed Julian Nagelsmann.

Tuchel said that his team had taken "a step in the right direction. We are regaining our lost confidence," but he called for calm "because we will be tested again on Saturday" in front of his strong guest Leipzig before visiting Cologne, who guaranteed survival, while visiting Dortmund Augsburg the thirteenth before receiving the ninth Mainz.

And Mueller, 33, mocked Wednesday the rumors of his transfer when he published a picture of him with his horse, "King Davey", telling him, "If you could read the newspapers, King Davey," adding, "# All focus is on the league and # nothing but Bayern."

He confirmed this after the match, saying that the reports "sent me to fantasy land... I have a year out of my contract and my heart is red."

Regarding Mueller's performance, Tuchel said, "Thomas has the experience and the will to achieve his 12th league title... He is an important player, an example and proves that every day in training."

Bayern translated its dominance with a penalty kick that young midfielder Jamal Musiala obtained after a jab from Swiss Cedric Brunner, who coolly hit Joshua Kimmich with a second goal (30).

At the beginning of the second half, Gnabry registered his name on the list of scorers, manipulating the defense (50). And after a defensive error by substitute Japanese defender Maya Yoshida, Gnabry took advantage of it, rushing on his own, to score his second and fourth personal goal for "De Rutten" (65).

Young Frenchman Matthijs Tal (18 years old) took advantage of his opportunity to enter as a substitute to score the fifth goal (80), before Moroccan international full-back Naseer Mazraoui concluded the festival, scoring his first goal in the Bundesliga (90 + 2).

After the Bayern match ended, Dortmund players launched an early attack on their guest, Monchengladbach, which resulted in a quadruple in the first half that logically settled the match.

As usual, he took turns scoring goals for the yellow team, Dutch Donyell Mallen (5), young Englishman Jude Bellingham (18 from the penalty spot) and Ivory Coast's Sebastian Haller (20 and 32).

In the second half, Dortmund retreated slightly, so the guests narrowed the gap through Algerian Rami Ben Sebaini (75 from a penalty kick) and veteran Lars Steindl (86), before American substitute Giovanni Reina ended the festival with a fifth goal for Dortmund (90 + 4).

In a very important match to qualify for the Champions League, Union Berlin achieved its first victory in three matches, at the expense of its fifth guest, Freiburg 4-2, to temporarily rise to third place (59) instead of Leipzig (57), who receives Werder Bremen on Sunday, while it froze. 6.4 million refugees on the anniversary of the Nakba

The Central Bureau of Statistics said that the records of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) indicate that the number of refugees registered with it in December 2020 amounted to about 6.4 million Palestinian refugees, of whom about two million are in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

In a report issued today, Sunday, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, which falls on the fifteenth of May, the "Statistics" indicated that about 28.4% of the refugees registered with UNRWA live in 58 official camps affiliated with it, distributed among 10 camps in Jordan, and 9 Camps in Syria, 12 camps in Lebanon, 19 camps in the West Bank, and 8 camps in the Gaza Strip.

These estimates represent the minimum number of Palestinian refugees, given the presence of unregistered refugees, as this number does not include those Palestinians who were displaced after 1949 until the eve of the June 1967 war “according to the definition of UNRWA.” It also does not include the Palestinians who left or were deported in 1967 on the grounds of war and who were not refugees in the first place.

The Nakba: Ethnic Cleansing, Population Replacement, and Land Control:

The events of the Nakba of Palestine and the ensuing displacement constituted a great tragedy for the Palestinian people, as it represented and still is a process of ethnic cleansing, where an entire people was destroyed and expelled, groups and individuals from all over the world replaced it, and 957 thousand Palestinians were displaced from their villages and cities out of 1.4 million Palestinians who used to reside. In historical Palestine in 1948 in 1,300 Palestinian villages and cities, where the displacement ended with the majority of them to a number of neighboring Arab countries in addition to the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, in addition to the internal displacement of thousands of them inside the lands that were subjected to the control of the Israeli occupation in the year of the Nakba, and what followed after their expulsion from their homes and seize their land.

During the Nakba period, the Israeli occupation took control of 774 Palestinian villages and cities, of which 531 were completely destroyed, and the remainder were subjected to the occupation entity and its laws. Palestinian, and the massacres continue to this day.

The demographic reality: 75 years after the Nakba, the Palestinians have multiplied 10 times:

The population in historic Palestine in 1914 was about 690 thousand people, of whom the percentage of Jews was only 8%, and in 1948 the population reached more than two million, about 31.5% of whom were Jews, and between 1932 and 1939 the largest number of Jewish immigrants flowed in, and their number reached 225,000 Jews, and between 1940 and 1947, more than 93,000 Jews flocked to Palestine. Thus, between 1932 and 1947, Palestine received approximately 318,000 Jews, and from 1948 until 2022, more than 3.3 million Jews flocked.

Despite the displacement of about one million Palestinians in 1948 and more than 200 thousand Palestinians after the June 1967 war, the total number of Palestinians in the world reached 14.3 million at the end of 2022, which indicates that the number of Palestinians has increased about 10 times since the events of the 1948 Nakba, about half of them (7.1). million) people in historical Palestine (1.7 million in the territories occupied in 1948).

Population estimates indicate that the population reached 3.2 million people in the West Bank (including Jerusalem) at the end of 2022, and about 2.2 million people in the Gaza Strip. With regard to Jerusalem Governorate, the population reached about 487 thousand people at the end of 2022, of whom about 65 % (about 314 thousand people) reside in the areas of Jerusalem (J1), which the Israeli occupation annexed to it by force after its occupation of the West Bank in 1967.

Based on these data, the Palestinians constitute 50.1% of the population residing in historical Palestine, while the Jews constitute 49.9% of the total population and exploit more than 85% of the total area of historical Palestine (which amounts to 27,000 km2).

The Nakba of Palestine turned the Gaza Strip into the most densely populated part of the world:

The population density in the State of Palestine at the end of 2022 was about 899 individuals/km2, with 569 individuals/km2 in the West Bank and 6,019 individuals/km2 in the Gaza Strip, noting that 66% of the population of the Gaza Strip are refugees, which caused the influx of refugees to Transforming the Gaza Strip into the most densely populated part of the world.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation established a buffer zone along the border strip of the Gaza Strip, with a width of more than 1,500 meters along the eastern borders of the Strip. Thus, the Israeli occupation controls about 24% of the area of the Strip, which is 365 square kilometers, which contributed to a sharp rise in the unemployment rate in the Gaza Strip, which reached 47%, and it turns out that the prevailing unemployment rates were the highest among youth in the age group 15-24 years, at 69% for the year 2021. This, in turn, contributed to the worsening and weakness of the economic reality in the Gaza Strip, which turned more than half of the population in the Gaza Strip into poor, as it reached The poverty rate in 2017 in the Gaza Strip was 53%.

One hundred thousand martyrs since the Nakba of 1948:

The number of Palestinian and Arab martyrs since the Nakba in 1948 until today (inside and outside Palestine) reached about 100,000 martyrs, while the number of martyrs from the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Intifada until 12/31/2022 reached about 11,540 martyrs.

It is noteworthy that the year 2014 was the bloodiest year, during which 2,240 martyrs fell, of whom 2,181 were martyred in the Gaza Strip, the majority of whom were martyred during the aggression on the Gaza Strip. As for during the year 2022, the number of martyrs in Palestine reached 231 martyrs, of whom 56 were children and 17 were women. The number of wounded is about 10,000.

Over a million arrests since 1967:

The number of prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons reached 4,900 until April 2023 (of whom 160 are children, in addition to 31 female prisoners). As for the number of arrest cases, it reached during the year 2022, with the arrest of about 7,000 citizens throughout the Palestinian territories, including about 882 children and 172 women. While the number of administrative detention orders against citizens who have not been charged with any crime reached 850.

The data also indicates that there are 554 prisoners serving life sentences (for life), and 1,000 administrative detainees.

She adds that Israel detains more than 700 sick prisoners and four prisoners of the Legislative Council, in addition to the presence of 23 prisoners who were arrested before the Oslo Accords in 1993 and are still languishing in the occupation prisons.

It is clear from the data that the number of martyred prisoners has reached 237 since 1967 due to torture or willful killing after arrest or medical negligence against the prisoners. Seven prisoners were killed, five of them as a result of medical negligence.

Colonial expansion continues:

The number of Israeli colonial sites and military bases at the end of 2021 in the West Bank reached 483 sites, distributed among 151 settlements, 25 inhabited outposts that were considered as neighborhoods belonging to existing settlements, 163 colonial outposts, and 144 other classified sites, including (industrial, tourist, service areas, and camps for the occupation army). As for the number of settlers in the West Bank, it reached 719,452 settlers, at the end of 2021.

The data indicates that most settlers live in Jerusalem Governorate, with 326,523 settlers (constituting 45.4% of the total number of settlers), of whom 239,951 settlers live in J1 area (includes that part of Jerusalem Governorate that the Israeli occupation annexed to it by force after its occupation of the West Bank in 1967). Followed by Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, with 143,311 settlements, 95,279 settlements in Bethlehem governorate, and 50,067 settlements in Salfit governorate.

As for the lowest governorates in terms of the number of settlers, they are Tubas and the northern Jordan Valley, with 2,629 settlers. The ratio of settlers to Palestinians in the West Bank is about 23 settlers for every 100 Palestinians, while the highest in Jerusalem governorate was about 69 settlers for every 100 Palestinians, and the year 2022 witnessed a significant increase. In the pace of building and expanding Israeli settlements, the occupation authorities approved about 83 colonial plans to build more than 22 thousand colonial units throughout the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

Continuous appropriation of Palestinian lands:

The occupation exploited the classification of lands according to the Oslo Accords (A, B, and C) to tighten control over Palestinian lands, especially in areas classified (C), which are completely subject to the control of the Israeli occupation, as the occupation directly exploits 76% of the total classified area. (C), where the regional councils of the settlements control 63% of them, while the area of the areas of influence in the Israeli settlements in the West Bank (including the closed areas designated for the expansion of these settlements) amounted to about 537 square kilometers at the end of 2022, which represents about 10% of the area The West Bank, while the areas seized for the purposes of military bases and military training sites represent about 18% of the area of the West Bank at 1,016 km2, in addition to the annexation and expansion wall, which isolated more than 10% of the area of the West Bank, and more than 219 Palestinian communities were damaged as a result of the construction of the wall Which has a length of about 714 km. Since 1967, the Israeli occupation authorities have confiscated about 353 thousand dunums of Palestinian lands and classified them as natural reserves in preparation for their seizure.

Judaization of Jerusalem and the demolition of Palestinian real estate:

Within the policy of deportation and replacement, the occupation authorities are taking accelerated Judaization measures in Jerusalem in order to obliterate the Islamic and Christian monuments, displace the Palestinians from the city of Jerusalem, and replace them with Israelis coming from all over the world, as the Israeli occupation authorities approved, during the year 2022, about 70 colonial plans to build more than 10,000 units Colonial settlements in Jerusalem governorate and its environs, at a time when the Israeli occupation authorities demolished more than 258 buildings and issued demolition decisions for more than 220 buildings, including 100 residential buildings in the Al-Bustan neighborhood within the collective demolition policy, which leads to the displacement of 1,550 people, the majority of whom are children and women.

In addition, the frequency of targeting Palestinians increased, as 19 Jerusalemites were killed and about 2,486 were injured by the occupation bullets during 2022. The number of arrest cases launched by the occupation in Jerusalem governorate increased during 2022, as the number of arrest cases reached about 3,504 cases, compared to about 2,879 cases in in 2021, with an increase of about 22%.

More than 8,700 attacks in 2022:

The occupation authorities and colonizers carried out 8,724 attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property during the year 2022. These attacks were distributed by 1,515 attacks on religious property and places, 362 attacks on lands and natural resources, and 6,847 attacks on individuals. On the other hand, the year 2022 witnessed an attempt by settler groups on 63 occasions to establish outposts, most notably: the attempt of the right-wing Nahla movement to establish more than 10 outposts on 7/20/2022, and the occupation forces and settlers launched a total of 223 confiscation operations of about 294 Palestinian property, including 48 tractors. agricultural fields, and 53 citizens’ cars. These attacks also uprooted, damaged, and razed 10,291 olive trees, including 2,400 trees in Nablus governorate.

378 demolitions affected 953 facilities in the West Bank during 2022:

The policy of the occupation forces did not stop demolishing Palestinian-owned buildings and the resulting displacement of residents from their homes throughout the West Bank. Since 2009, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Territories (OCHA) documented that the occupation forces destroyed 9,353 homes or facilities since 2009. 2009, including 1,639 facilities funded by donors, which led to the displacement of 13,641 citizens.

The demolitions were distributed by 19% in East Jerusalem, 79% in areas classified (C), and about 2% of demolitions in areas classified (A) and (B). OCHA documented that about 953 facilities were demolished during 2022, of which 140 were demolished. A facility funded by donors, which led to the displacement of 1,031 citizens and affected 28,446 citizens, of which about 70% were inhabited and uninhabited agricultural and residential facilities.

While the occupation authorities carried out a total of 378 demolitions during the year 2022, affecting 953 establishments in the West Bank, including the city of Jerusalem. Most of the demolitions were concentrated in the Jerusalem governorate, with 118 demolitions, or 31%, leaving 178 demolished establishments in the city of Jerusalem, of which 98 were demolished. Self demolition.

The occupation authorities also issued 1,220 demolition notices, of which about 33% were in the Hebron governorate, 18% in the Bethlehem governorate, and 9% in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorates, in addition to the destruction of many infrastructure sites that serve the Palestinians, including roads, water and sanitation networks, and recreational places. ..etc.

Per capita share of water is less than the minimum due to occupation:

The average daily Palestinian per capita consumption of water reached 86.3 liters of water during the year 2021, when this average reached 89 liters per day in the West Bank, compared to 82.7 liters in the Gaza Strip, and if we take into account the high pollution rate of water in the Gaza Strip, and calculate the quantities of potable water For human use from the available quantities, the per capita share of fresh water would be reduced to only 21.3 liters per day.

When comparing this rate with the Israeli per capita consumption, we notice that the Israeli per capita consumption rate is three times higher than the Palestinian per capita, as the Israeli per capita share reached about 300 liters per day, and this rate doubles for the settlers to more than 7 times the Palestinian per capita consumption.

It is worth mentioning that the average Palestinian per capita water consumption is still less than the minimum recommended globally according to the standards of the World Health Organization, which is 100 liters per day, as a result of the Israeli occupation's control over more than 85% of Palestinian water resources.

Occupation control over the waters of the Jordan River and the Dead Sea:

Palestine depends mainly on water extracted from ground and surface sources, which amounts to 76.4% of the total available water. The amount of water pumped from the wells of the aquifers (the eastern basin, the western basin, and the northeastern basin) in the West Bank for the year 2021 amounted to about 105.3 million cubic meters.

The main reason for the weakness in the use of surface water is due to the Israeli occupation’s control over the waters of the Jordan River and the Dead Sea. It should be noted that the Israeli occupation has prevented Palestinians from accessing the waters of the Jordan River since 1967, which are estimated at about 250 million cubic meters.

While the amount of water extracted from the coastal basin in the Gaza Strip reached 192.5 million cubic meters during the year 2021, this amount is considered an unfair pumping due to the need for water and the lack of another water source, as the pumping exceeds the coastal basin’s storage capacity of renewable water, which is estimated at 50-60 million cubic meters. per year, which led to the depletion of water reserves and the decline of the groundwater level below 19 meters below sea level, which led to the overlapping of sea water and the filtration of sewage into the reservoir, which made more than 97% of the coastal basin water Not compatible with WHO standards.

The revenge of the free and the impossibility of defeating the people

We will need thousands of pages and dozens of serious studies to cover the various aspects of the battle for the revenge of the free, in order to draw lessons and discover the shortcomings and gaps that marred the Palestinian performance, while showing the elements of strength to develop and strengthen it. It suffices to point out here that, after the Battle of Saif al-Quds in May 2021, Israel formed 14 official investigative committees to study the failures that accompanied the Israeli performance in that battle, including intelligence failure, the performance of Iron Dome, the home front, media, propaganda and new media, and coordination between official bodies. Including the military and security arms, and diplomatic performance. Some committees needed several months to come up with their results and recommendations, most of which remained confidential and were restricted to the concerned official authorities. The foregoing confirms that objective evaluation needs specialized professional reviews away from the language of daily statements of a tactical and emotional nature. What we are interested in here is referring to some explicit facts that were controversial during the battle and could answer some of the questions raised.

The first fact that should be highlighted is that this latest round is an aggression against the entire Palestinian people, not against a faction or a specific geographical area. sharpness, to show the battle as part of Israel's efforts to combat the alleged Iranian expansion. It is true that the Jihad movement played a distinguished, persistent, and well-known role in the recent confrontations in Gaza and the West Bank, but it is worth remembering that the battle of "Revenge of the Free" is closely related to the repeated and escalating attacks against Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, and to the assassination of the martyr Sheikh Khader Adnan, whose epic martyrdom represented a glorious page in the struggles of the captive movement. And the entire Palestinian people.

This aggression cannot be separated from the series of attacks over the past two years in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, the implementation of dozens of assassinations, the frantic settlement attack, the abuse of the captive movement, the demolitions of homes, the mass arrests, and the prevention of any Palestinian activity in areas classified (C), all of which are episodes in the same The scheme aimed at exploiting the international, regional and local conditions in order to resolve the conflict by unilateral measures and by force of iron and fire, and the entrance to this solution is the elimination of all forms of resistance.

This is the sixth round of open military aggression against the Gaza Strip during the last fifteen years, and each time Israel aims to achieve some goals related to its internal situation and the competition of political forces in it, in addition to the goal of deterring and resisting the Palestinian people, and incurring the people the cost of their support and embrace of the resistance. And push people to believe that the resistance is a burden on them instead of being a lever for their national struggle and a place of support and pride for them.

The only achievements of the Israeli war machine is killing more Palestinians, mostly children, women and civilians. From the evaluation of the six rounds, it becomes clear that the resistance returns after each round stronger than the rounds that preceded it, and that every leader who is assassinated is replaced by a new leader who is eager to prove his role and avenge his predecessor. It is noteworthy that in all the rounds of fighting that took place and despite the heavy and painful losses that befell the people, the occupation failed to bring about between the people and the resistance. Rather, the people’s adherence to the choice of resistance increased and their rallying around it and its symbols, and the resistance, in its renewed forms, became a major element that cannot be ignored in the equation The Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In this confrontation, as in the previous rounds, there are three necessary elements that the resistance takes into account when making any decision: The first is the interest of the people. Also, the heavy loss of life, displacement, destruction of infrastructure, the terror faced by children and other civilians, the enormous suffering in providing the necessities of life, the loss of work and study days, the drain on already scarce resources, and the pressure on weak medical facilities. The other two factors are the protection of national unity and the establishment of the rules of engagement that were enshrined in blood and sacrifices, which in themselves are an expression of the national dignity of the people summed up by the equation that the resistance is always ready to respond to the treacherous blows of the occupation, any decision of the resistance should balance these three considerations in isolation from the populist discourses that rush The missile responses and put themselves in the place of the joint operations room, and the problem is that some of these same voices are the ones who criticize the resistance if its response is delayed and then continue to criticize it if it initiates a response claiming that it exacerbates the suffering of the people.

The Israeli political and military mentality stems from the conviction that Israel has triumphed over the Arabs and Palestinians in all previous wars, and thus has the power and ability to impose and dictate its political conditions on the Palestinians, which means their surrender. Of course, this logic was prevalent in the Middle Ages and is no longer applicable in modern times. Nor in the wars waged by superpowers against countries and peoples that are much weaker than them, as in Vietnam and Afghanistan. Israel's problem is that it forgets that these wars are not against a state, regime, or army, but rather against the Palestinian people and their yearning to live in freedom and dignity, and it is an impossible battle to win. Defeat the people.

Everyone knows that our internal situation is divided and disjointed, and this weakens our ability as a people and institutions to manage the battle and achieve integration between the various arenas on the one hand and between the forms of political, diplomatic, legal, resistance and public action on the other hand. Which justified its inaction by considering that what is happening in Gaza does not concern it because of the division. It would be better if these votes were held accountable after the dust of the battle had cleared.
