Brigadier General Suleiman Al-Youssef, Director of the General Department of Passports at King Abdulaziz International Airport, told Asharq Al-Awsat that the pilgrims came from all countries of the world, specifically Europe, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, America and Arab countries, explaining that the intensity of arrivals starts from five days before the beginning of Ramadan, and increases. The numbers are gradual, and with the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, the density is higher than the previous days, explaining that the total number of arrivals through King Abdulaziz Airport until yesterday is close to 250,000 pilgrims. Regarding the speed of completion at the airport, Brigadier General Al-Youssef said that the state was keen to provide all capabilities To receive pilgrims in all fields, whether at the ports of entry or the Two Holy Mosques, Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, so there is speed at the airport to complete the procedures for travelers, including pilgrims, as the completion of the procedures for the pilgrims does not exceed the minutes.

He continued by saying that the work team on platforms for finalizing entry and exit procedures is fully qualified to discover any forged documents or passports, and in detecting forged documents, regular procedures and investigations are being taken to ascertain how these documents were forged and the destination of their arrival in Saudi Arabia or their arrival to other countries via Saudi Arabia.
