SHIJIAZHUANG (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan said the country's latest COVID-19 response protocols require higher precision in implementing prevention and control measures and fixing loopholes, not complacency and laxity.

Sun, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when she was visiting Hebei Province from Monday to Tuesday to check on the province's epidemic prevention and control measures.

Sun reaffirmed China's firm adherence to the dynamic "zero-COVID" policy, and stressed rapid response to deal with outbreaks in the shortest time and at the lowest cost, to ensure epidemic control, economic stability and safe development.

She spoke highly of Hebei Province's achievement of being completely infection-free at the community level for a relatively long time, and asked local authorities to remain vigilant and eliminate any outbreaks at the community level in a timely and resolute manner.
