Actress Olivia Wilde receives legal documents for her two children
Las Vegas - (AFP) - When American actress and director Olivia Wilde received a mysterious envelope while she was onstage in Las Vegas, where she was talking about her next movie, many in the hall crowd thought it was nothing more than a staging of a prank.
However, what she received was actually legal documents sent by her former life partner, actor Jason Sudeikis.
And this happened during her presentation, Tuesday, at the "Cinema Con" forum held in Las Vegas, clips from her upcoming movie, "Don't Worry Darling," and the actress asked, upon seeing the envelope: "This is mine, isn't it?"
"It's very strange. I'm going to open it now," she added. An unknown person quietly placed the envelope marked "Personal and Confidential" on the stage.
"Is it a script? Well, okay. Thanks," the actress continued, looking at the contents of the envelope. Then she went on with her presentation without any mention of this envelope, and many thought it had to do with a new project thus handed over to Olivia Wilde.
But it emerged Wednesday that the envelope actually contained legal documents relating to the two children she has with ex-partner Jason Sudeikis, who stars in the hit TV comedy "Ted Lasso."
A source close to Jason Sudeikis told Agence France-Presse on Wednesday that "papers have been prepared related to the determination of a judicial authority in relation to the two children, Wilde and Sudeikis."
The same source explained that "Sodekis was not aware of the date and place of delivering this envelope because that was the sole responsibility of the concerned company and he would never have allowed it to deliver the documents in such an inappropriate manner."
Neither Olivia Wilde nor her lawyers have commented on what happened.
Olivia Wilde's current life partner, British singer and actor Harry Styles, stars in Don't Worry Darling, a psychological thriller based on The Truman Show and Inception.
