Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Arab Bank recently donated a radiological imaging device (mammogram) to the Nablus Governorate Health Directorate, as part of the Bank's community contributions and initiatives that provide support to several vital sectors, including the health services sector.

This device was donated due to the urgent need for it in Nablus Governorate, and due to its utmost importance in conducting the necessary examinations for early detection of breast cancer, which determine the progress in completing the appropriate treatment for it and avoid the development of the disease and the complication of the patients’ health condition. Note that this device will provide service to more than 4,000 patients annually.

Commenting on this initiative, Jamal Hourani, Palestine Area Manager of the Arab Bank, explained that the bank attaches great importance to supporting the health sector, one of the main axes of its social responsibility program (together). The bank is very interested in supporting and adopting development initiatives that directly contribute to improving the level of health services as one of the basic needs of citizens. This is in addition to his many other contributions in the fields of education, environmental protection, combating poverty and supporting orphans.

It is worth mentioning that the Arab Bank made many contributions to support the health sector, including contributing to the establishment of the first center specialized in treating kidney diseases at Al-Najah Teaching Hospital, providing devices specialized in treating cancer diseases, donating a “freezer” device to the Central Blood Bank, as well as donating machines Dialysis for a number of hospitals, and a number of necessary medical devices for a number of health centers, including the Al-Eizariya Health Directorate and the Qalqilya Health Directorate.
