A pro-Palestine coalition is organizing 100 marches in dozens of countries today, Saturday
The coalition of organizations supporting Palestine announced the details of the Second International Day of Solidarity with the Residents of the Gaza Strip, whose marches are scheduled to begin today, Saturday, in more than 100 cities in more than 45 countries around the world.
It said that major capitals from all over the world, such as London, Washington, Sydney, Istanbul, and Seoul, will participate in this global event.
In Britain, the scheduled march will begin from the Marble Arch area, adjacent to Hyde Park, in central London, at 12:30 noon, today, Saturday, heading towards the Israeli embassy in the Kensington neighborhood.
The coalition, consisting of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, the Stop the War Coalition, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Campaign to Stop Nuclear Arming, the Islamic League in Britain, and the Friends of Al-Aqsa, issued an urgent call for action in response to the catastrophic and unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
It said, "With the escalation of Israeli army operations, civilians in Rafah face the imminent threat of displacement, in addition to all other types of suffering surrounding them, which will double the shocking number of martyrs, wounded, and displaced people."
The coalition strongly condemned all forms of aggression against the civilian population in Gaza, and called on the international community to "implement firm and serious measures to hold Israel accountable for its crimes against humanity."
The coalition called for the whole world to participate in the International Day for Supporting Gaza, to call for an end to the genocide in the Strip, and to demand freedom for Palestine.
Adnan Humaidan, Vice President of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, said that the movement on the Second International Day of Solidarity with Gaza is gaining special momentum with the participation of hundreds of cities and capitals around the world, and in London in particular, as this movement comes at an important time in the hands of Parliament’s vote again to adopt the call for a ceasefire. In Gaza on the 21st of this month.
