And considered that the attack is a violation of the truce announced since the 30th of last April.

Since April 15, Sudan has been witnessing bloody clashes between the two largest military forces in Sudan, the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces.

The fighting led to the displacement and refuge of thousands of Sudanese to safe areas in Sudan and to neighboring countries, including Egypt, Ethiopia and Chad, according to UN statistics.

According to the statistics of the Sudanese Ministry of Health, the death toll reached 550 and 4,926 wounded.

The European Union provides 13 million euros to Jerusalem hospitals

Today, Wednesday, the European Union provided 13 million euros to the Palestinian Authority to support the bill for medical referrals to Jerusalem hospitals.

Contributions from the European Union will help hospitals provide basic health care services to Palestinian patients from the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza, while the Palestinian Authority will help meet its financial obligations towards these hospitals in light of its chronic severe financial crisis.

These hospitals are an essential part of the Palestinian healthcare system, providing specialized medical services not available anywhere else in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

"This contribution underscores our strong commitment to maintaining access to specialized medical services for all Palestinians," said EU Representative Sven Kühn von Burgsdorff.

Burgsdorff praised the process of reforming the external medical referral system led by the Ministry of Health, and we encourage more efforts towards a more efficient and fair system.

He said, "We are committed to supporting medical referrals to East Jerusalem hospitals, which have served Palestinian citizens for more than 50 years, as maintaining their work and presence in East Jerusalem remains a priority for us."

Bishara: The Israeli cuts made our tasks difficult

On Wednesday, Palestinian Finance Minister Shukri Bishara called for immediate intervention by the international community to restore Palestinian financial rights, through Israeli deductions from tax funds.

Bishara's statements were made in a speech he made during his participation in the work of the International Liaison Committee (AHLC) held in the Belgian capital, Brussels, in which he confirmed that the total financial deductions withheld by Israel in the last 4 years exceeded 800 million US dollars.

He said that the Israeli deductions added more difficulties to the Ministry of Finance and the government in fulfilling their obligations, which also coincided with a significant decline in foreign grants directed to the public treasury.

He called on the international community to engage in a serious international dialogue, with the aim of amending the unfair conditions contained in the Paris Economic Protocol, which affect all vital Palestinian economic sectors, and bridging the large gap between the financial rights guaranteed by the agreement, which Israel has violated many times.

He continued, "There is an important role played by the donor community in defending the Palestinian cause and liberating the Palestinian economy from dependence on the Israeli economy, as pressure towards amending the Paris Economic Protocol will contribute to easing restrictions on the Palestinian economy."

He believed that it is important to take practical steps and find a sustainable financial program for the State of Palestine, to control the budget deficit and reduce it gradually, to pave the way for financial stability and recovery of the Palestinian economy amid the continued violations of the occupation.

During his speech, Bishara gave an explanation about the Palestinian financial and economic situation, indicating that the Palestinian government is working under huge challenges.. "The budget deficit constitutes a threat to the Palestinian economy."

He expected the current year 2023 deficit to rise to more than $609 million, up from $359 million, or 46%, in the event that illegal Israeli deductions from clearance funds continue.

He said that the continuation of the current deficit affects the Palestinian social stability, due to the lack of a national currency and a central bank with full powers, to refinance the debt and cover all the obligations of the government.

Regarding the Palestinian banking sector, Bishara said that it is exposed to the risks of lack of cash liquidity, and the political fluctuations inherent in the Palestinian system due to the Israeli occupation, which prevents economic progress.

And he continued: “The government approved the budget this year as an emergency budget, amid the continuing financial crisis due to the occupation, indicating that the budget for the current year reflects revenues of $5.38 billion, an increase of 6% over the previous year, and against that we will witness an increase in expenditures by 12% from $5.53 billion.” Dollars to 6.18 billion, due to the increase in the salary bill.

He stressed that despite the difficult financial reality due to political and economic challenges, the Ministry of Finance succeeded in increasing public revenues, as it witnessed a growth of 14% last year, following an increase of 22% in 2021.

Because of the Ministry's efforts to maximize revenues, it contributed to compensating for the increase in operating costs and the sharp decline in international support for the budget, in addition to our success in reducing the budget deficit by more than half.

He explained that the deficit was reduced from $971 million in 2021 to $416 million in 2022, and had it not been for the illegal Israeli deductions, the year would have ended with a deficit of $242 million.

Timeline: A year of "violence" in "Israel" and the West Bank

On Wednesday, a truce was announced after a night of exchange of missile strikes between Israel and Palestinian fighters in the Gaza Strip, following the death of a leader in the Islamic Jihad movement, Khader Adnan, in Ramla prison, as a result of a hunger strike.

In this file, Agence France-Presse sheds light on the most prominent events that exacerbated the conflict between the Israeli-Palestinian sides since last year.

Violence erupted on March 22, 2022, when four people were killed in the city of Beersheba in the Negev desert, southern Israel, by a Bedouin teacher associated with the Islamic State.

On March 27, two policemen were killed in an attack claimed by the Islamic State in Hadera, in the north.

Two days later, a Palestinian from the West Bank killed five pedestrians on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. On April 7th, another attack left three people dead in central Tel Aviv.

On May 5th, three Israelis were killed after two Palestinians attacked them with axes and knives in the city of Elad, which is predominantly observant.

In the aftermath of the attacks inside Israel, the Israeli army launched more than 2,000 raids in the West Bank in 2022, especially in Jenin and Nablus, which are strongholds of the Palestinian armed factions in the northern West Bank occupied by Israel since 1967.

On May 11, the American-Palestinian journalist for the Qatari Al-Jazeera Arabic channel, Sherine Abu Aqleh, was killed during an Israeli operation.

On October 25, five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli military operation targeting the Lions' Den armed group in Nablus.

On November 29, Israeli forces killed five more Palestinians in the West Bank.

On August 5, the Israeli army launched an operation in Gaza that was portrayed as "preventive" against the Islamic Jihad movement, during which a number of its military leaders were killed.

At least 49 Palestinians were killed in total during the three days of rocket and missile exchanges.

A new cycle of violence began on January 26, 2023, when ten Palestinians were killed in Jenin during an Israeli operation.

The next day, a Palestinian shot dead six Israelis and a Ukrainian near a synagogue in East Jerusalem, which Israel occupied and annexed in 1967, before being shot.

On 06 February, five Palestinian members of Hamas were killed in an Israeli military operation in Jericho.

On February 10th, a run-over attack by a Palestinian in East Jerusalem killed three Israelis, including two brothers, aged six and eight.

On February 22, 11 Palestinians, including a boy, were killed during an Israeli military incursion into Nablus. The operation was described as the bloodiest carried out by the Israeli army in the West Bank since at least 2005, followed at night by firing rockets from the Gaza Strip towards Israel, followed by Israeli air strikes.

On February 26, two Israeli settlers were killed near Nablus.

On the evening of that same day, hundreds of Israeli settlers entered Hawara, where they threw stones at Palestinian homes and set fire to buildings and cars.

Six Palestinians were killed on March 7 in Jenin, one of whom was the perpetrator of the attack on the two settlers.

On the fifth of April, in the middle of Ramadan, violent clashes took place between the Israeli police and what it described as "rioters" holed up inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Two rockets were fired in the evening from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, after a similar shooting the night before, to which Israel responded with strikes.

On the sixth of April, about thirty rockets were launched from Lebanon towards Israel.

Israel began responding in the evening with air strikes on the Gaza Strip. Before dawn the next day, the Israeli army also launched air strikes in southern Lebanon, confirming that it had hit three "infrastructure" of Hamas.

This is the first time that Israel has confirmed that it has attacked Lebanese territory since April 2022.

On 7 April, two British Israelis were killed and their mother seriously injured in an attack on their car in the West Bank. Two days later, the death of the mother was announced.

On the second of May, the Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan, 45, died in his detention in the Israeli Ramla prison, after 86 days during which he was on hunger strike.

Adnan had embarked on a strike to protest his administrative detention, but an Israeli official said that he was detained on charges related to his activity in the Islamic Jihad movement, participation in dozens of organizational activities of the movement, and giving inflammatory speeches in support of a hostile organization, and he was being held pending the case.

Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip responded by firing rockets towards the Jewish state. A day of shelling exchange resulted in the death of a Palestinian and the wounding of five others, while the Israeli side recorded three injuries.

Since the beginning of January, more than 100 Palestinians, 19 Israelis, a Ukrainian woman and an Italian citizen have been killed in confrontations, military operations and attacks, according to a toll compiled by Agence France-Presse based on official Israeli and Palestinian sources.

These figures include fighters and civilians, including minors, from the Palestinian side, and from the Israeli side. Most of the dead are civilians, including minors and three Israeli Arabs.

The martyr Khader Adnan is a symbol of patriotism and heroism!!

Jerusalem Hadith

Jerusalem Hadith

The patriotic fighter who strongly rejects the crimes of the occupation and all its practices, went on hunger strike for more than 85 days in a way to express his adherence to his homeland and the rights of his people until he passed away and his strong martyrdom was fulfilled and he became a symbol of patriotism and heroism.

The crime of occupation against this hero was denounced by all the national forces and the Arab and Islamic countries through their institutions and organizations and through all the media and social communication, and Khader became a symbol of patriotism and heroism, and everyone who talks about rights, humanity, morals, steadfastness and heroism talks about him.

The occupation realized the deteriorating health condition of the prisoner Khader, but it did nothing but put him in a cell and in worse health conditions until he moved to God's mercy while he was in the fullness of his steadfastness and steadfastness.

The occupation’s crimes against prisoners in general are many, although Khader Adnan represents them at this stage, and among these examples is the prisoner Qassem Muslim, who has been detained for 23 years, at the age of 54, and his health condition has deteriorated. The two brothers, Raafat and Akram Othman Hamed, from the town of Silwad, are in their twentieth year since their arrest in 2004. The occupation authorities also decided to extend the sentences and arrest of citizens and restrict the prisoners in the work facilities that provide them with services.

Talking about the practices of the occupation, whether against the prisoners or the continuous arrests, must turn into a cry in the ear of the whole world, perhaps some of them will move and stand firmly in the face of these practices, and mere statements of condemnation and denunciation remain ink on paper and are not heard by the leaders of the occupation in this government that It includes leaders of senior extremists and those who reject all human rights and obligations.

And for the thousandth time, we repeat that these practices will not break the resolve of our people and will not stand in the way of our children legitimately defending their homeland and their rights, and in the end they will surely be the victors.

Gate of Mercy.. The renewed battle to divide Al-Aqsa

Abdullah is well known

Abdullah is well known

Opinion Writer

Unexpectedly, the name Bab al-Rahma returned to the forefront of the scene in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. No sooner had the morning of the second day of Eid al-Fitr begun than the worshipers in al-Aqsa Mosque were surprised by the Israeli forces storming the Gate of Mercy, cutting its electricity wires and destroying its newly repaired infrastructure, in a scene that was surprising given the Four years have passed since the reopening of the chapel after the events of the "Gate of Mercy" in 2019, which raised many questions about the reasons for this Israeli attack at this particular time.

In fact, the issue of Bab al-Rahma did not actually end with the occupation, despite the passage of more than 4 years since its opening. The occupation police have been storming the chapel regularly throughout these years, and they are keen to enter the place with shoes without the slightest respect to confirm the fact that it does not recognize it as a chapel despite the position of the Council. The Supreme Council of the Islamic Endowments in Jerusalem, who confirmed more than once that this place is one of the chapels of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and that the Council deals with it on this basis.

What finally happened confirmed that Israel had not forgotten the issue of the Gate yet, and that it wanted to turn the clock back to before the events of February 2019, when Jerusalemites ended a complete Israeli closure of Gate of Mercy that spanned 16 years, beginning in early 2003 when the occupation authorities announced the closure of the Islamic Heritage Committee. Which was based in the place 10 years ago at that time, and the matter of Bab Al-Rahma was almost forgotten throughout these years, so that the Israeli police came and decided in 2019 to change the locks of the door in reference to declaring its control over it, and this led to the explosion of conditions in Jerusalem and the Jerusalemite youth announcing their intention to open The prayer hall again, and this is what happened on 22/2/2019.

Since that time, the actual war began over the ownership of the chapel. Israel saw this place as a hope to start implementing its vision of dividing the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews, considering the place “forgotten” for 16 years, during which the area adjacent to Bab Al-Rahma turned into a permanent center for settlers. Extremists temple, who conduct their rituals and religious lessons in the place without allowing Muslims to approach them, and therefore it was natural that the conversion of Bab al-Rahma into a synagogue is an idea put on the table of the Israeli government, waiting for the appropriate moment to implement it, as happened when the division of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron in 1994.

However, what happened was the opposite of all expectations, so the chapel was opened again, and no attempt to hinder it or prevent its opening succeeded, even by arresting the guards who used to open it daily, and the Muslims took steps in this direction with the Jerusalemite youths in 2021 preparing all the chapel’s interior requirements, including brushes and separators. Wooden and others, taking advantage of the events of the war that year, then the Jerusalemites take another step in the month of Ramadan in 2022 by removing the guard point that the Israeli police set up in 2018 above the Gate of Mercy, and then preparing the ground for the site later to connect it with the Marwani chapel and achieve unity that Israel has always tried to prevent between the chapels of Al-Aqsa Mosque divergent on the eastern side.

Under these developments, pressures were increasing on the Israeli government by extremist religious groups, which see that their achievements in the eastern region of Al-Aqsa Mosque are almost in vain, and this prompted the current Netanyahu government to consider that its battle in this spot is fateful because it is linked to the support of these extremist right-wing forces. , and especially the ultranationalist Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir.

Today, Itamar Ben Gvir is trying to present himself as the sole savior of the extreme religious right in Israel, and in doing so he is trying to jump over Netanyahu's back to show that he is his strong successor, even stronger than Netanyahu himself, and he does not hide the truth of his political ambitions to assume the presidency of the government in Israel, and therefore he bids on Netanyahu in everything related to Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular. While the Israeli Supreme Court renewed in July each year its decision to close the Gate of Mercy chapel, Ben Gvir anticipated the Israeli court’s renewal of its annual decision this year by informing the Islamic Endowments Department of his decision to close the door immediately in his capacity as Minister of National Security, before even To start the holy month of Ramadan!

It seems that Bin Gvir intended from this step to test reactions to his decision before starting to implement it after the end of Ramadan to prepare the ground in July, before the court renewed the closure decision, thus appearing as the only strong and solid man capable of implementing the court's decision and closing the Gate of Mercy.

In this matter, Ben Gvir tries to address the issue of al-Bab from the logic of the absolute power that he believes he enjoys in managing the affairs of the occupation police in Al-Aqsa Mosque, but he ignores an important fact, which is that the Israeli security authorities did not accept his reckless vision of the situation in Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, and the possibility that This place ignites a war that Israel cannot afford to fight and bear its losses, especially when it is today in its weakest state in terms of the divided and fragmented society. Recklessness in dealing with an issue of this sensitivity led in the past to widespread disturbances that some political sane people in Israel believe are indispensable at this very critical time. The causes and circumstances that led to such disturbances with regard to Al-Aqsa Mosque have not ceased or disappeared, not at the local Palestinian level, nor at the Arab and Islamic level, nor even at the international level, which cannot support Israel when it comes to this site.

Possible scenarios
Indeed, trying to close the door will result in one of two scenarios:

The first: that Bin Ghafir completely fails in his effort to close the door and succeeds in return, in the event of his persistence and obstinacy in that, in re-igniting the entire region without knowing it. The issue of opening the Gate of Mercy chapel has become for Muslims in and outside Jerusalem an issue of public opinion that is very difficult to end with this simplicity. Israel and no one else can control it, because the people in Jerusalem are not affiliated with any Palestinian or non-Palestinian faction or political body whose movement can be predicted. The harbingers of this anger and popular movement are quite clear on the horizon, as the Jerusalemites have proven more than once that approaching the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque cannot pass without a price.
The second: That he be able to close the Gate of Mercy without much fuss, as he and the poles of the extreme Israeli right hope, and that will open the door wide to accelerate the division of Al-Aqsa Mosque and completely cut off this part of the mosque before Muslims realize the dimensions of what is happening, and I do not think this process - if it succeeds Ben Gvir - It takes more than just a few months. Although popular silence in this case is unlikely, the seriousness of this scenario should be noted, and here it should be noted that the popular conscience in and around Jerusalem must remain attentive to what Ben Gvir and the leaders of the Israeli right want, as the issue goes beyond the door of mercy to the division of the mosque as a whole, and the division of the mosque Al-Aqsa itself will, in fact, only be the starting point for complete Israeli control over it. Defending freedom of the press and protecting journalists

Nihad Abu Ghosh

Nihad Abu Ghosh

Opinion Writer

On the third of May every year, hundreds of thousands of journalists around the world celebrate World Press Freedom Day. On the martyrdom of colleague Sherine Abu Aqleh, correspondent for Al Jazeera channel and icon of the Palestinian and international press, in addition to the family of Palestinian journalists heading to hold the General Conference of the Syndicate on the twenty-third and twenty-fourth of this month.

"Freedom of the press" is the most necessary condition for the work of journalists and their profession, and a free press is an essential and indispensable condition for any normal contemporary society, free from all manifestations of oppression, corruption, tyranny, ignorance and arbitrariness, and before that from the scourge of colonialism and occupation, as is the case of our Palestinian people who are still suffering from The results of the catastrophe, whose infamous anniversary falls in this month as well. This fact reminds us all that the responsibility for defending freedom of the press is not the task of journalists alone, but rather the task of all forces and bodies that are keen on human rights and the interests of the people and the nation. It is the task of all supporters of freedom and democracy. Serving the entire community and providing it with the information it needs in the various affairs of the lives of all citizens.

And if freedom of the press is a necessary condition for the success of the mission of journalists, then it is not sufficient alone without meeting the urgent life interests, individual and collective, of journalists, such as adequate wages, decent work conditions, occupational safety, health and social insurance, unemployment, disability and old age insurance. Promoting the profession, developing laws regulating the work of the press, including the Journalists Syndicate Law, and the right to obtain information, to training new graduates and creating journalistic jobs in institutions and facilities that lack this or refer them to non-specialists.

Palestine was one of the first Arab countries to know the press and the trade union organization of the press in the twenties of the last century. Journalists were among the first to be aware of the Zionist danger and warned of it before other politicians and notables. Anyone who wants to learn more about the pioneering role of the Palestinian press can follow the important documentary materials that he continues to publish. Colleague Imad Al-Asfar, Director of the Media Development Center at Birzeit University, based on the archives of the Palestinian press at that time.

The occasion passes us this year amid the continuation of violations by the occupation first, and secondly by the Palestinian parties in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and in recent years, the practices of social media administrations have been added, targeting Palestinian content and the right of Palestinians to express their opinion, and it seems that these administrations are linked With close relations with the occupying state and its institutions, it adopts its racist standards to demonize and criminalize the Palestinian struggle. Mostly, the number of Israeli violations of freedom of the press exceeds the total number of violations in the West Bank and Gaza, and what concerns us in this regard, and despite our knowledge that the Israeli violations are quantitatively and qualitatively different from the Palestinian violations, they are the gross and most serious violations, and affect the right to life of journalists before their right to life is affected movement and work, and includes killing journalists and deliberately assaulting them, as happened with Sherine Abu Aqelah, Ghfran, Rasneh, Nazih Darwaza, Yasser Murtaja, Ahmed Abu Hussein, and more than fifty journalists who were martyred during the last four decades. Israel's targeting of journalists included bombing towers and buildings that house press offices and news agencies, and snipers targeting journalists despite wearing their distinctive vests. Most of the journalists were prevented from entering Jerusalem, as well as from moving between the West Bank and Gaza, and from reaching the places of events. And the arrest of hundreds of journalists, where about 15 journalists are still detained so far, and the destruction of journalists’ cameras, tools, equipment, and vehicles. However, the continuation of Palestinian violations in all its forms, including arrests, summons, threats, beatings, prevention of coverage, dismissal from work, and others, represents a dark and defective page in our Palestinian life. Everyone is responsible for folding and closing it by criminalizing and forbidding the arrest, exposure and threat of journalists, and holding accountable all those who encroach on press freedoms, with a reminder that these freedoms are guaranteed and stipulated in the Declaration of Independence and the Basic Law, and have previously been affirmed and repeated by the highest political and national references, especially by the President and successive governments.

Since its inception, the Palestinian press has been associated with the national cause. It was the most important means of exposing colonial and aggressive plans, a tool for formulating and building national awareness, and one of the most important levers for preserving the national identity, as well as its daring role in revealing the truth and informing the world about the crimes of the occupation. Therefore, the press has always been targeted by Before colonialism and occupation, it is unfortunate that it also turned into a victim of division, separation and internal crises.

On World Press Day, we bow in honor of the martyrs of the Palestinian press, including the leaders and symbols of the Palestinian revolution, such as Ghassan Kanafani, Majid Abu Sharar, Kamal Nasser, Kamal Adwan, Wael Zuaiter, Hanna Moqbel, Naji Al-Ali, Hani Jawhariyyah, Izz al-Din al-Qalq, Saeed Hamami, Abdel-Wahhab al-Kayyali, and Michel Nimri, all the way to the martyrs of the occupied land, Hassan Abdul Halim to Shirin, Ghufran and dozens of others, and we do not forget the foreign martyrs of the press from among the friends of Palestine who gave their lives in order for the world to know what is going on in our country, including James Miller, Raphael Chirillo, Victor Argoni, Simon Camelli, and Cevdet Kiliclar, as well as the martyrs of the press outside the homeland, including them Tariq Ayoub, Mazen Tamizi, Mazen Dana.

On this anniversary, we remember the journalistic figures who presented the most beautiful years of their lives in the service of the press and journalists, including the late captains Radwan Abu Ayyash, Naim Al-Tubasi and Abdel Nasser Al-Najjar, and the heads of the leading media institutions Mahmoud Abu Al-Zalf, Mahmoud Yaish and the martyr Youssef Nasr.

Finally, all the best wishes for the Journalists Syndicate conference, with the hope of building a broad popular national coalition to defend freedom of the press and protect journalists. The press, which has dedicated itself to Palestine, deserves support, backing and protection from its people.

The follower of the sermons of the Secretary of the pulpit, Sheikh d. Ikrima Sabri finds it multidimensional; It deals with the affairs of the nation and the homeland, ranging from the general to the specific, and from the past to the present, including the concerns of the Palestinian local community and/or the nation on a broader scale, and hinting at the future, with its hopes and pains.

Accordingly, the last Friday (the orphan) of the month of Ramadan for this year (1444 AH / 2023 AD) came to include three main axes, which Al-Khatib - Sabri - identified as follows: the strategic depth of the Palestinians, the Abrahamic religion and the teachers' strike.

Based on the responsibility placed on the pulpit of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque towards Muslims wherever they are on the face of the earth, and based on the burden of trust placed on the preacher who ascends this pulpit, the preacher spoke in every axis of it, according to the vision of the true religion that the preacher realizes, and he is the former mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian lands. President of the Islamic Supreme Council in Jerusalem.

Immediately after this sermon, Karim's brother addressed the sermon, protesting against the historical dimension as mentioned in the sermon, considering that "the historical right in Palestine is heresy." Whereas, the Friday preacher was not limited in his sermon to the historical dimension only, but also dealt with the doctrinal and jurisprudential aspects as well, based on the noble verses and the noble hadiths of the Prophet.

And since I found the content of the hadith worthy of stopping by reading and analyzing it, in light of our struggle with the occupation on this blessed, good, pure land, I re-listened to the sermon, and it became clear that the historical dimension included information, data, and evidence in which the preacher sequenced it, starting with what was narrated by the honorable companion Abu Dhikr al-Ghafari May God be pleased with him, by saying: I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about the first mosque built on earth. He said: The Sacred Mosque. He said: Then which? He said: Al-Aqsa Mosque, I said: How much between them? He said: Forty years. Al-Khatib - Sabri - proceeded according to the following:
- We as Muslims have our strategic depth throughout history. The Palestinian people are part of the Arab people, and the Arab people are part of the honorable Islamic nation.

 We say to the vexatious, impetuous person: Your claim that the Palestinian people has only been known for a hundred years is a misguided and misleading claim. As the Arabs in Palestine have a history that extends back to before (7500) years BC and who are the Canaanites, even the Torah mentioned the land of Canaan on several occasions to indicate that the Canaanites existed, and they are the oldest peoples in the world in Palestine.

- When the just caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, came to the city of Jerusalem in 15 AH / 636 CE, he received its keys from Sophronius, Patriarch of Rome; That is, the Muslims had received this city by treaty from the Romans only and not from others, and our master Umar, may God be pleased with him, issued at that time the Umaria Pact in which he preserved the churches of the Christians, because our great Islamic religion preserves the places of worship for non-Muslims, so if it was a synagogue for the Jews at that time, he would have preserved it. Umar did not find any traces except for those related to Christians only.

- Therefore, the people of Palestine are rooted in the blessed Holy Land, and the abundant Islamic monuments still exist, and confirm this, from the time of Umar to this day.

 Then our stationing in our land is by a divine, divine decision from the seven heavens, and that is in the miracle of Isra and Mi’raj, so the Al-Aqsa Mosque was the centerpiece of this miracle.

- Al-Aqsa Mosque is part of our faith, and defending it is a defense of faith.
- Accordingly, our association in this country is a connection of belief and faith, with the decision of God Almighty, and not with a decision of the body of nations or a decision of the Security Council. Emphasizing that Jerusalem is not for the people of Palestine alone, but rather for all Muslims around the globe, and he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, says: No one should travel except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, this mosque of mine, and Al-Aqsa Mosque. And in a narration: The Grand Mosque, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and this mosque of mine.

- We return to this arrogant moron, whose name we refuse to mention, who falsifies history, to say to him: Whoever has a house of glass should not throw stones at others, then we say to him: Have you found antiquities in the city of Jerusalem, during the extensive excavations? As for our monuments, they are clear imprints of the whole world and speak of our existence through the years and days.

we saw,
After careful listening, good listening, and objective analysis of the historical dimension of this sermon, we find that the Friday preacher, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ikrima Sabri has referred to the historical dimension, in his response to allegations that the Palestinian people have known only for a hundred years. Thus, he broadcast direct messages to the occupation and its leaders, who boast of denying the historical depth of the Palestinian people on this land, that our historical right in Palestine came with a divine decision, and is not a heresy or a favor from anyone.

We also find ourselves in direct confrontation with the following questions/questions:

Is there anything wrong with saying that our Canaanite ancestors are the ones who brought us into this land, before we were Muslims?

Is there anything wrong with citing the Almighty’s saying: “Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was upright and a Muslim, and he was not of the idolaters” (Al-Imran: 67), when referring To our religious and historical depth that extends for thousands of years before the message of Islam brought by the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him God bless him and grant him peace?

And is there any contradiction for those who research the historical right of the nation before the Hijri time that was adopted by Caliph Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him?

These questions remain to be answered, until we are certain that we are in a moment when we are in desperate need of the unity of the word, and the unity of the correct opinion based on belief and jurisprudence.

Sudan between the jaws of pliers

It is no coincidence that the Sudan issue and its pain do not enjoy the declared Arab sympathy and bias, with the exception of some parties and popular movements in this or that Arab country, even though Sudan occupies a high position in the consciences of Arabs, all Arabs, since the three No’s of Khartoum and the wisdom of the veiled Sudanese leader, in the face of defeat June and its humiliation in front of the colony’s expansion and its occupation of more Arab lands for Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt in 1967.

The people of Sudan bear the suffering and pay the price for the control of the military and their coup initiatives, whether in the failure of 17 times since independence in 1956, or their success in the coup and control of the initiatives of Ibrahim Abboud, Jaafar Nimeiri and Omar Al-Bashir, and the three occupied more than half a century for their individual powers.

And here are the two generals Abdel Fattah Burhan and Mohamed Hamdan Daglo Hamidti agreeing to pounce on their former president, Omar al-Bashir, and he pays the price for his choices not to respond directly to the voice of the popular uprising on his own, so he is dismissed and arrested by those who made them, in response to the popular uprising and the American decision.

General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the commander of the army, assumed power due to his position within the military institution. As for General Hamidti, Omar al-Bashir created him based on security experience gained from Iran’s experience with the presence of two institutions: 1- The Iranian army, 2- The Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and this is how Omar al-Bashir did in Sudan by creating two institutions. In order for either of them to turn the coup against him, he formed the Rapid Intervention and Deterrence Forces, in order to parallel the army, and carry out the tasks of deterring popular or armed protests in areas of hot clashes, from Darfur and elsewhere.

The two generals agreed to dismiss Al-Bashir, and they shared power as head of the ruling military council and vice-president. Visions, interests, and aspirations clashed, and a disaster occurred, for which the people of Sudan are paying.

The majority of the Arab peoples sympathize with their brotherly people in Sudan, whether they are Arabs or Africans, Muslims or Christians, brown or black. The Sudanese person is Sudanese, the homeland, the cause and the affiliation, even if the colors, dialects and positions are multiplied. This is how Sudan must be treated as it deserves of appreciation, brotherhood, partnership and good neighborliness. However, no one stands with Sudan, or with one party against another, for more than one reason:

Firstly, both of them are from the military, and their battle is a struggle for power, or so are the impressions of the Arabs, and no Sudanese message reached an alternative or denial of this impression.

Secondly, both of them have a relationship with the United States.

Thirdly, both of them have a relationship with the Israeli colony since the Abrahamic agreement, despite the failure of all Arab bets since Camp David, Wadi Araba and Oslo to achieve balance, restore lands with dignity, or end the aspirations of the colonial expansion of the Hebrew-Israeli-Jewish project. In this sense, Sudan is like the one who went on pilgrimage. And people are back.

Fourth, they differed over the background of ceding power in favor of civilians and political parties, which put them in one valley, and the Sudanese political forces in another valley, and this was reflected in the position of the Arab political forces.

Our duty is to be with Sudan, in solidarity, bias and understanding, at least with regard to humanitarian issues such as treatment, medicine and food. The appeal made by the Sudanese ambassador, Hassan Siwar al-Dahab, in Jordan and his demand to provide a field hospital and a medical team, and to provide medicines and transport the wounded are just and necessary demands that must be met by the country of the Jordanians. It is a people who love Sudan and the Sudanese.

Once again, Khader Adnan! Life teaches us

I will call him a martyr while he is alive! And I will see him carried on the fervent, hot, condescending chant, and he will be as he wanted and not as the slaves wanted

Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices, and the homes inhabited by the striker renounce humiliation, water and food, and let the countries chant, and from the tops of the mountains let them cheer, and let them await the return of his spirit with rams and gear and the fragrance of return and weddings, and let the village of thyme, sagebrush and marigolds come, whose green braids were cut off, now, to write in its calendar the steps of the steadfast man who He braced himself with audacity, and fasted in oblivion at the scene of backwardness, mediocrity, chaos, and the gloom of the oppressed, so he was a martyr with seventy martyrs, because the pomegranate of his chest swarmed with abundant anger and overwhelming grief over the shadows of heavy walls and the viscosity of free blood, and the crucified’s voice over the deceitful scorpion in detention in the times of the blind lady "Justice" they arrested In the figures of their Security Council, the equivalent of Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib, and on aircraft carriers and the prevailing totem of terror, and because he was struck over and over and his intestines were cut into shrapnel, and because he witnessed the killing of his brothers, and he endured, as if he was a rock that squeezes and does not break, giving oil to the taste of honey and lemon.
By the way, I did not happen to meet him, and I do not know him personally, but he is an outstanding example, an example of courage, and an icon of the impossible sacrifice..which prompts me to offer greetings, appreciation, gratitude, and beautiful thanks to his faithful soul, as it mourns in Paradise.

And Sheikh Khadr, who was born in the era of the greatest terror, under the shadows of cow stomachs and years of massacres that exceeded the time of the terrifying Diocletian Janus, his people were obsessing like a scorpion in the midst of fire, and he was in the state of the gendarmerie, the vague conspirators, but he took the confrontational decision from the grip of closed defeat, after he Skip search The same, to find it a resistance that was abandoned by those around and the confusion of the parties distracted by the sciences of controversy, while they brought down their fortress from within with a gradual concession, and they drank us into a political realism that led to blood, achievement and the cause, and the calamities, heartbreaks, orphanhood, bullets, barriers, humiliation and liquefied gas remained. For shame and deceived acceptance. But, despite that, he rose like a free spike, from a pure country washed with the tears of the bereaved, the blood of innocent birds, and the arteries of the martyrs, and plunged into the sludge of confrontation with the opposite, and he was with his brothers in the Bastilles, sacrificing the blossom of their life in the darkness and suffocating humidity, and they went out to half life to make it complete with their return The purest, slaying and violent.

And if brute force does not lead to right or wrong, then it should create a flag to bridle it or skip its ruthless saw. And if every tribe needs a legend, and every war needs a hero, then our legends are our martyrs, detainees, and wounded. As for our heroes, they are those who woven within our society brakes that worked to limit scrambling and concession, and led to strengthening the survival of simple people in their country, despite raids, demolition, and hunger. The sheikh was one of those who advanced the ranks of work until he became a Caesarian eagle, failing in every direction, and his suggestions continued to root every building until this regression and gloomy recession, and the floating failed him despite the man's audacity and innocence.

Palestine knew its son while he was in prison, ten times, and he used to say to his occupiers: You fear killing us more than we fear death, and you occupiers break our bones and break our ribs, but it will be healed.

And he was aware that sarcasm was another word that meant politics, so he plunged into the furnace of serious work. In prison, he would not let go of an eyelid while he guides the one who is the most appropriate to the one that is the best, and wipes the silver of the inner pains of the detainees and helps them to be absolved of the cunning repeated words. Everyone testified that his sermons were a complete moon to stabilize the spirit and illuminate the conscience, and in the presence of the speech of the Most High, which does not disappoint. But our living and living martyrs are like the king of Gerkovia in the face of the tsar. They fought him and tried to expel him from their land, and their actions were telling us: Come to the claws of death, for in our hearts there is a song. But they fell before arriving because the shepherds sold the road..and those who remained remained and they did not alter
And the sheikh, was aware of the difference between the act of free democracy that must exist, and between the pragmatic factional democracy that suffers from deep structural crises, so he went to the committed action directly, leaving behind him the scum of speech and the ashes of titles, as if he said: When people do not hear you, you have to follow them or walk alone. So he walked alone to the clean movement, and found behind him the honorable people following him, confident and reassured. He has glory engraved on stone and in eternal flames. Perhaps I call it the Pelican, that bird that used to peck its chest to extract its heart as food for the birds around it.
Perhaps he still realizes the wisdom of the fall of Babylon! That Darius entered with his stench, and because its people are intoxicated to the point of absence. This is why he calls for practical purification in word and behavior because he is good in his manners and manners, just as it remains a model of commitment to his national lining and in its moral and theoretical meaning, far from purpose, obscurantism, closure and blind commitment, so he obtained this privilege. Perhaps we are here to draw from the glow of this model and example and sharpen the rising spirits.

Sheikh Khader Adnan is one of the kings of the sun who sprouted fireflies of light in the fields and the constants and kept them vibrant and full, starting with the complete independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital forever, and ending with the complete demise of settlement and occupation, and the return of the refugees to their first land.. Either the constants and the revival of life in our institutions With transparency, justice and law, or a deadly response to the globalization of collapse and slavery. That is why we declare that we are with and behind the spirit of the sheikh, which means that we are with our rights, our constants, and our shining right that our genius martyr passed on.

Kuwaiti thinker Tariq Suwaidan: Palestine is my cause and the nation's primary concern

Ahmed Youssef

Ahmed Youssef

The beginning of my acquaintance with the Kuwaiti Islamic preacher and thinker, Dr. Tariq Suwaidan to 1983, when we met in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA, where Dr. Musa Abu Marzouq and I were studying for a master’s degree at its famous university (CSU). It includes master's and doctoral studies.

At that time, we had a leadership position in the ranks of the Islamic Movement, as Dr. Tariq was responsible for the educational department, and I used to work with him in that department as a supervisor for the (Preachers’ Path) bulletin; It is a publication that includes ideas and guidance for the youth of the Islamic movement.

was dr. Tariq is one of the most active youth in the Gulf, and even one of its prominent Islamic leaders, as he was one of the founders of the Arab Muslim Youth Association (MAYA), which was a safe umbrella for our advocacy work among Arab students, as we were on the end of the year vacation (Christmas) holding our annual conference, whose presence he shared Six thousand people with their families, and its activities lasted for four days, during which we lived in an Islamic atmosphere, and we received from the legal sciences and the jurisprudence of minorities that benefit us in our alienation and the matter of our religion.

The Islamists in the West were moving with great freedom, as there were no restrictions on their intellectual and advocacy activities, and the famous scholars among the advocates of the Islamic movement used to come to America throughout the year to participate in our Arab community’s forums and Islamic celebrations, and they delivered lessons and religious sermons in mosques and Islamic centers.

was dr. Tariq was an undisputed star in the Islamic student work in America, and he was distinguished in his style and the way he presented his lectures on various aspects of Islamic knowledge. (joke), it makes you feel close to your heart.

During that period in the mid-1980s, there was competition between the Brotherhood over the leadership of the Islamic movement, as the organization was headed by Mr. Ahmed Makki; A brother from Sudan, and he was related to Dr. Hassan al-Turabi, which created fears and apprehensions among some organizational leaders from Egypt and Jordan that Brother Ahmed Makki is moving the Brotherhood organization towards Dr.’s thought. Hassan al-Turabi, who took his directions away from the Egyptian Brotherhood and the global organization of the Muslim Brotherhood.

In light of that fraternal atmosphere fraught with suspicion and tension, I began writing a series of articles related to our organizational disputes. Therefore, he made a decision to stop the newsletter from issuing, after checking with me if there was someone inciting me to target him, such as brother Tariq Suwaidan.

Nights and days passed, and the elections that he lost took place, and their results were in favor of the brothers from Egypt, Palestine, Jordan and Kuwait, and thus they achieved a change of leadership, and the selection of Dr. Ahmed Al-Qadi; He is an Egyptian doctor, distinguished by his high morals and paternal behavior to lead the organization. And with the advent of Dr. Ahmed Al-Qadi (may God have mercy on him), I have returned to issuing the Bulletin again.

was dr. Tariq Suwaidan is one of the closest leaders to our Palestinian work, as he never stopped his moral and material support for our activities in the American arena, and he did not miss an event that we invited him to participate in.. Because of his strong attachment to the Palestinian cause, he wrote a lot about it, and one of the most famous books he wrote was the encyclopedia (Palestine... Illustrated History), which is one of his early creations, and also (The Jews..

The Illustrated Encyclopedia), and among his books, which exceeded a hundred books, the issue of Palestine and history had an abundance of them, and from his televised lectures on more than one Arab satellite channel.

Dr. has grown up. Tariq Suwaidan grew up from an early age in a Palestinian Islamic atmosphere, as his home was in Kuwait, in a neighborhood inhabited by a Palestinian majority, and one of his sheikhs was the Palestinian preacher, Dr. Omar Al-Ashqar (may God have mercy on him), and among the colleagues of the mosque in which Brother Khaled Meshaal used to pray, and others from the symbols of the Palestinian Islamist action.

And when the leadership of the Brotherhood organization in America devolved to d. Musa Abu Marzouk in the second half of the eighties decade, was d. Tariq has always been by his side, and they worked together in leading the movement and promoting it and its activities to the early nineties.

One of the difficult moments we lived with Dr. Tariq that one day before his university graduation, Kuwait fell, as the Iraqi invasion of his country took place on the second of August 1990. With the occupation of Kuwait, Dr. Tariq is without a homeland to return to, so he came to Washington and opened a political office to defend his country's cause and mobilize support and solidarity for it.

During that period, we were truly among the most sympathetic and close people to him.. as we understood the magnitude of the ordeal that befell him and his country, and we moved to offer him - in the context of opinion and advice - everything we could, for he is a brother dear to our hearts, and he has always been a supporter of us and our cause, and now The time has come for repayment and fulfillment test.

With the liberation of Kuwait, d. Tariq America returned to his country, and communication and cordiality with him remained.. After the events of September 11, 2001, communication between us was cut off, and I only met him on one of his summer visits in 2003, when he brought to America a group of Kuwaiti youth in an entertaining advocacy program For about a month, he toured with them in many places and cities that have a global heritage value, in addition to visiting the Islamic centers scattered in western capitals.. Those trips were like recreational and educational tourism to introduce Islam and its civilization, and to get acquainted with the issues of the nation, including the issue of Palestine.

I had a strong friendship with Brother Tariq during the years we were in America for studies, and his wife, Sister Umm Muhammad, was one of the Islamic feminist leaders, and she was also in a relationship of friendship with my wife, so that my daughter’s name was “Mafaz”, which is derived from the verse (Indeed, the righteous have a reward), they were them who preceded us.

After I left America, I met Dr. Tariq Suwaidan once or twice in Lebanon and Qatar, but my follow-up to him did not stop after he became a famous media face on the “Al-Risala” satellite channel, and then through his training courses to build the Islamic leadership personality, some of which were held in Turkey and Malaysia, and he also gave distinguished performances in The Palestinian Al-Quds TV channel in Ramadan for international personalities who had imprints in the history of peoples and nations.

was dr. Tariq Suwaidan is a person ahead of his time, and he is a nation in a man, and he had a verse in his morals, and his style in the literature of difference is - rightly - a school from which we learned a lot, and that what we are of behaviors and literature are but some of the outpouring of his traits.

The story of the organization... here, not in "Malmö"

Nabil Amr

Nabil Amr

Opinion Writer

If we conducted a professional and impartial opinion poll about the reality of the PLO, and its presence in the life of the Palestinian people now, and in comparison with what it was like at the time of its coronation at the Rabat Summit as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, and when the late great Yasser Arafat delivered Palestine's speech before the United Nations General Assembly, and when it fought The longest battle of confrontation with Israel, when it was expelled from Lebanon, but it developed its political presence worldwide, in addition to its permanent leadership of all activities of the Palestinian people in the homeland and in the diaspora.

If we conduct a survey provided it is professional and fair, I expect and hope I'm wrong that the result will be as follows:

The younger generation, which was born and then matured over the past quarter of a century, does not know much about it.

The elderly generation: who founded it and participated in its most important achievements
He speaks with regret about her condition, at the time of wholesale retirement, not for individuals but for the institutions that were the basis of the organization's prosperity and the strength of its presence, and now it is almost non-existent except in headlines and conversations of memories.

- Those on the homeland: they see it hidden behind the authority, which in turn is hidden behind its unresolved crises, behind the blockage of the political horizon, the perpetuation of the division, and the end of mere attempts to remedy it.
- And those outside the homeland: they live inside a big question.. Where are we? And what is our role? And where is the PLO when it was the unifying framework for every Palestinian, regardless of his political persuasion? At that time when our National Assembly was one of the strongest and most important parliaments in the world.

No Palestinian asked the question of who represents me? And who is leading my national struggle? No one speaks on my behalf in all forums.. The PLO, strong and inclusive, answered all questions and persuaded everyone to answer them.. The PLO was present with the strength of its popularity and the rallying of all Palestinians around it, from the furthest place thousands of miles away from Palestine to the heart of Palestine itself. It was not a presence provided by the media, money, or even the deep need for a comprehensive national identity, but in addition to all that, it was a presence based on convincing achievement in all areas in which the organization led its people, and devoted its merit and the merit of its cause as the "central cause" for the Arab and Islamic worlds, and for all peoples aspiring for freedom justice and the right to self-determination.

The question cannot be answered by restoring the achievements of the past to fill the vacuum of the present. The question is... Where is the PLO and where is the comprehensive alignment behind it... Where are its institutions... Where is its presence on the homeland, and in every place where there are Palestinians?

Where is the old alignment of all forces and factions within their frameworks and around their programmes, even the opposition ones?

Where is the national unity? And the matter here is not only between Fatah and Hamas, not between Gaza and the West Bank, and not between the authority and the people.

She scattered and distributed her blood to the feuding tribes to the crumbs.

Egypt despaired, Algeria despaired, and before them Yemen despaired, Saudi Arabia despaired, Moscow despaired, and everyone who tried to end the division of one people and one homeland despaired. Not only were there no attempts, but there was no talk of ending the division. Every day that passes without a solution is an inevitable transition to separation.

Using the glories of the past to fill the void of the present does not work. The organization’s story, existence, role, effectiveness and future has no solution except on the homeland. As for the Swedish “Malmö”, it is just one link in a chain produced by the weakness of the center.

Every Palestinian issue "and we are in the circle of looting" if it is not addressed on the homeland and by the action of the people who promise millions and whose principle is steadfastness on the ground, whatever the costs, then there is no remedy for it, neither in Malmö nor anywhere else.

A man has been arrested for throwing suspected munitions into the gardens of Buckingham Palace

London police announced Tuesday the arrest of a man suspected of being armed after he approached the Buckingham Palace fence and threw objects believed to be firearm cartridges into the palace garden.

A police statement said, "A security cordon was set up after a suspicious bag was found in the man's possession," noting that experts detonated it as a precaution.

The police indicated that the suspect was arrested at around 19:00 (18:00 GMT), noting that the arrest comes a few days before the coronation of Charles III as King of Britain in a ceremony that will be attended by kings and senior leaders from around the world.

Later, the police announced that they are not currently dealing with the case as terrorism-related.

About three hours after the incident, the police announced that the man had been arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon, and after being searched, a knife was found in his possession.

"Police officers immediately arrested the man," said a statement from London Police Chief Joseph MacDonald.

"There were no reports of gunfire or injuries, either among the soldiers or the general public," McDonald said.

He added that "two policemen are still at the site and investigations are continuing."

British media reported that King Charles, 74, was not in the palace, nor was his wife, Camilla, 75.

Palace officials did not want to make any comment.

On May 6, the coronation ceremony, which dates back nearly a thousand years to the celebration, will take place in Westminster Abbey, according to a tradition that has followed since William the Conqueror in 1066.

The event, which will attract thousands of British and foreign tourists to London, will coincide with the start of a weekend of festivities, including Sunday local concerts and a concert at Windsor Castle in which British stars refused to participate, and then a public holiday on Monday during which the British were invited to do volunteer work.

Two UN experts are calling for Israel to be held accountable for the death of the prisoner Adnan

Today, Wednesday, two United Nations experts called for the Israeli occupation authorities to be held accountable for the death of prisoner Khader Adnan, who went on an open-ended hunger strike against his arrest.

The two experts stressed that "there must be accountability for the killing of the Palestinian hunger striker Khader Adnan (45 years old)", describing the collective arbitrary Israeli detention of Palestinians as "cruel and inhuman".

The two experts, Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967 Francesca Albanese, and Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health Tlalang Mofokeng, said, “Khidr Adnan has been arrested at least 12 times in the past, He spent about 8 years in prison, most of which were under administrative detention, and went on hunger strike five times.

They added that Adnan "was protesting against Israel's widespread policy of arbitrary detention of Palestinians, against fair trial guarantees and in abhorrent conditions. Despite the serious deterioration in his health, the Israeli authorities refused to release him or transfer him to hospital, and continued to detain him in a hospital facility." imprisonment, without adequate health care.

"Khader Adnan's death is a tragic testament to Israel's cruel and inhumane detention policy and practices, as well as the failure of the international community to hold Israel accountable in the face of the cruel and illegal acts being committed against Palestinian prisoners," they said.

The two experts stressed that "we cannot separate Israel's physical policies from the colonial nature of its occupation, which aims to control and subjugate all Palestinians in the lands that Israel wants to control."

They noted that "the systematic practice of administrative detention, which amounts to a war crime, consists in deliberately depriving protected persons of the rights to a fair and regular trial."

The two experts stressed that "it is more necessary than ever for the international community to hold Israel accountable for its illegal actions in the occupied territories, and to stop the normalization of war crimes, which have become a daily reality in the lives of the Palestinians," and they asked, "How many lives must be lost, before they die?" Is an inch of justice achieved in the Occupied Palestinian Territories?”

A martyr and 774 cases of arrest in Jerusalem during the past month

Today, Wednesday, statistics of the Jerusalem Governorate stated that a young man was killed by settler bullets, 774 cases were arrested, and 290 citizens were wounded by live and rubber-coated metal bullets during the month of April.

According to the statistics, a settler executed the citizen Hatem Asaad Abu Najma (39 years), from the town of Beit Safafa, while the occupation forces are still holding his body, which raises the number of Jerusalemite martyrs whose bodies are withheld to 25 martyrs, including two children.

It monitored about (774) cases of arrest of citizens in all areas of Jerusalem governorate in April, including more than (26) children and about (16) women, the highest of which was recorded at dawn on the 5th of April, when more than (440 worshipers) were arrested from inside the Al-Qibli prayer hall. in the blessed Aqsa.

According to the statistics, the occupation authorities issued 4 demolition orders during April, for 3 apartments in the town of Al-Tur, owned by the Abu Juma’a family, and for the house of Hajjah Fatima Salem in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in addition to distributing demolition notices in the Al-Bustan neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa.

On the 23rd of April, the occupation government called for the cancellation of the petition submitted to the occupation Supreme Court to evacuate Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem.

The statistics documented the announcement by the occupation authorities of 3 new settlement projects, and began working on them in an attempt to impose a new reality on the city of Jerusalem.

It indicated that 290 citizens were injured as a result of live and rubber-coated metal bullets, and severe beatings, in addition to dozens of cases of tear gas suffocation, including about (246) injuries inside the courtyards and chapels of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The statistics showed that (5054) settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals, while (36676) stormed under the name of "tourism".

It also monitored the issuance of (12) actual prison sentences by the occupation authorities against Jerusalemite prisoners, including (6) administrative detention sentences, (57) house arrest decisions, and about (494) deportation decisions, including (461) deportation decisions from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. And I renewed my decision to ban citizens Nohad Zughair and Yaqoub Abu Asab from traveling.

The statistic indicated that, on April 15, the occupation authorities imposed severe restrictions on the access of Christian citizens to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in occupied Jerusalem to celebrate the "Light Saturday", by closing a number of the old town's doors leading to the church, and setting up military checkpoints in an attempt to prevent the arrival of Christian worshipers.

The governorate said: "The occupation's crimes are continuing and continuing, increasing in severity, with the intention of emptying the Holy City of its original inhabitants and replacing them with settlers."

Google and Apple propose a technical standard to combat illegal tracking via AirTag devices

Google and Apple on Tuesday proposed a new technical standard aimed at alerting people who are being tracked through small devices originally offered as tools to help find lost keys, luggage or personal items.

Apple's coin-sized AirTag devices with Bluetooth technology are popular with travelers but have also played a role in cases of harassment.

These devices, after connecting to a mobile application, can track in real time the geographical location of the object to which they are attached, in addition to the possibility of tracking the people who carry them, sometimes without their knowledge.

And “iPhones” notify its users if it detects the presence of an “Eartag” device near them (or wireless earphones from “Apple”), even if it does not belong to them.

The tech giants' proposal aims to make the technical specifications of other companies' Bluetooth signals compatible with the alert systems of the iOS (Apple's) and Android (Google's) mobile operating systems.

A joint statement by “Apple” and “Google” stated that a number of companies that manufacture devices similar to “Eartag”, most notably “Samsung” and “Tile”, “expressed their support” for the new proposal.

"Devices with Bluetooth technology have great practical benefits for users, but they can also be used to track people without their knowledge, which is a problem that the entire industry needs to solve," the statement quoted Dave Burke, vice president of engineering for Android, as saying.

In the United States, many women filed lawsuits against Apple last year, after they were tracked through Ertag devices and subjected to harassment.

In June 2022, a 26-year-old man was killed by his girlfriend in Indiana, after the young woman suspected that he was cheating on her and tracked him down through an AirTag device, according to legal documents related to the case.

Irving police spokesman Robert Reeves told AFP in February that the city's police station had dealt with a large number of cases involving the famous "Apple" device.

The US oil price is below $70 for the first time since OPEC+ cut production

West Texas Intermediate, the US benchmark, traded below $70 a barrel on Wednesday for the first time since the OPEC+ alliance cut production a month ago in an attempt to support prices.

After dropping below $70 due to recession fears, WTI recovered slightly and reached $70.12, a loss of 2.2 percent.

For its part, Brent North Sea crude, the European reference, fell 2 percent to $73.84.

"Concerns about the US banking sector have re-emerged following the collapse of the second largest US bank since the 2008 crisis," said Stephen Brennock, an analyst at PVM Energy.

Banking authorities and players are hoping that Monday's acquisition of First Republic by JPMorgan will, at least temporarily, spell an end to the turmoil in the sector, but regional banks remain under pressure on Wall Street.

"The shares of regional banks were affected by contagion fears (...) At the same time, another rise in interest rates is on the horizon," the analyst added.

The market expects the US central bank to raise the interest rate by a quarter of a percentage point on Wednesday after the Monetary Policy Committee meeting, to counter inflation.

Tighter monetary policy may contribute to putting pressure on the world's largest economy by increasing the cost of credit for families and companies, which increases the risk of recession and thus lower demand for oil.

And negative signals about Chinese economic growth add to general concerns about the global economy, said analysts at "Energy Denmark".

China's purchasing managers' index, a reflection of the state of the industrialized world, fell in April, according to official data released Sunday.

Consequently, the two global benchmark indices for crude lost their gains related to the voluntary production cuts of some members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its partners (OPEC Plus alliance).

Analysts interpreted these reductions, which were announced in early April, and which will come into effect from May until the end of 2023, as a desire by the coalition to keep the price of a barrel of Brent oil above $80.
