A martyr and 774 cases of arrest in Jerusalem during the past month

Today, Wednesday, statistics of the Jerusalem Governorate stated that a young man was killed by settler bullets, 774 cases were arrested, and 290 citizens were wounded by live and rubber-coated metal bullets during the month of April.


According to the statistics, a settler executed the citizen Hatem Asaad Abu Najma (39 years), from the town of Beit Safafa, while the occupation forces are still holding his body, which raises the number of Jerusalemite martyrs whose bodies are withheld to 25 martyrs, including two children.


It monitored about (774) cases of arrest of citizens in all areas of Jerusalem governorate in April, including more than (26) children and about (16) women, the highest of which was recorded at dawn on the 5th of April, when more than (440 worshipers) were arrested from inside the Al-Qibli prayer hall. in the blessed Aqsa.


According to the statistics, the occupation authorities issued 4 demolition orders during April, for 3 apartments in the town of Al-Tur, owned by the Abu Juma’a family, and for the house of Hajjah Fatima Salem in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in addition to distributing demolition notices in the Al-Bustan neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa.


On the 23rd of April, the occupation government called for the cancellation of the petition submitted to the occupation Supreme Court to evacuate Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem.


The statistics documented the announcement by the occupation authorities of 3 new settlement projects, and began working on them in an attempt to impose a new reality on the city of Jerusalem.


It indicated that 290 citizens were injured as a result of live and rubber-coated metal bullets, and severe beatings, in addition to dozens of cases of tear gas suffocation, including about (246) injuries inside the courtyards and chapels of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.


The statistics showed that (5054) settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals, while (36676) stormed under the name of "tourism".


It also monitored the issuance of (12) actual prison sentences by the occupation authorities against Jerusalemite prisoners, including (6) administrative detention sentences, (57) house arrest decisions, and about (494) deportation decisions, including (461) deportation decisions from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. And I renewed my decision to ban citizens Nohad Zughair and Yaqoub Abu Asab from traveling.


The statistic indicated that, on April 15, the occupation authorities imposed severe restrictions on the access of Christian citizens to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in occupied Jerusalem to celebrate the "Light Saturday", by closing a number of the old town's doors leading to the church, and setting up military checkpoints in an attempt to prevent the arrival of Christian worshipers.


The governorate said: "The occupation's crimes are continuing and continuing, increasing in severity, with the intention of emptying the Holy City of its original inhabitants and replacing them with settlers."
