In a message sent yesterday to the Chairman of the Committee on the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, Sheikh Niang, on the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, the Jordanian monarch reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause, and the commitment of the Kingdom of Jordan to continue making all efforts to defend the rights of the Palestinian brothers in various international forums, especially in light of the multiplicity of crises. facing the world.
He said: "The right of all peoples to self-determination is an international right, and more than half a century after the Nakba, the right of the Palestinians to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, cannot be denied, on the basis of The two-state solution, to live in peace and security alongside Israel.
The Jordanian monarch pointed out that the Kingdom will continue to coordinate with brothers and international partners to advance the two-state solution, and call for an end to all unilateral Israeli measures and violations that undermine the chances of achieving peace.
He reaffirmed that Jordan will continue to work with the Palestinian brothers, to preserve the historical and legal status quo in the holy places in Jerusalem, and to protect and care for them, based on the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian sanctities in the Holy City.
The Jordanian monarch called on the international community to continue providing support to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in accordance with its UN mandate, to continue providing its vital services of education, health and relief, especially for children and youth, until a just and comprehensive solution is reached, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy, and in Its preamble is Resolution 194, which guarantees the right of Palestinian refugees to return and compensation.
He reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause and its continuous presence in our Arab conscience, seventy-five years after the Nakba.
