Palestinian prisoner group reaches agreement on next steps of struggle
The Committee of Administrative Detainees in Ofer Prison, an offshoot of the umbrella movement for Palestinian detainees, approved its latest resistance program against administrative detentions on Monday.
Ofer Prison is an Israeli prison in the occupied West Bank, which holds more than 1,000 Palestinian detainees, many of whom were arrested without trial.
In a statement issued by the Palestinian Prisoners' Club on their behalf on Monday, the committee said it would implement a program of disobedience of the prison administration's laws and take steps to disrupt their day-to-day operations.
In a previous statement, they announced that the steps would also escalate to other prisons, and that the detainees will also continue to boycott Israel court proceedings.
