The genocide goes beyond what is announced...and what is hidden is greater..!!
Dr. Rafat Sayed Ahmed: The final outcome of the aggression is to transform Gaza from “geography to history” and erase its vital landmarks, including people.
Dr. Munther Hawarat: What is happening in Gaza is a real genocide and the occupying state aims to achieve unprecedented numbers of victims
Dr. Mukhaimer Abu Saada: Dealing with the effects of war, including the wounded and disabled, will require enormous efforts from specialists and officials
Dr. Ahmed Shadid: The effects of the war will remain for decades and the sector will need many years to recover from the massive damage it left behind
Dr. Riad Al-Aila: The war resulted in huge numbers of martyrs, wounded and missing people under the rubble, including entire families.
Abdul Nasser Abu Aoun: The number is not just a statistic, but rather stories of lives lost, families who lost loved ones, and generations who are losing their chance to live.
Recently, voices have emerged saying that the number of victims of the war of extermination that the occupying state has been waging for fifteen months is much greater than the numbers included in the official statistics of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, which until yesterday, Sunday, reached 46,565 martyrs and 109,660 wounded.
A research study published by the medical journal "Lancet" last Friday showed that the death toll in the Gaza Strip during the first nine months of the devastating war is about 40% higher than the figures of the Ministry of Health in the Strip.
Regardless of the real toll, whether announced by the Ministry of Health in Gaza or others, the number of martyrs, wounded and missing is unprecedented in the history of wars, especially since the majority of them are civilians, including nearly two-thirds of women and children. All of this has happened in full view of the international community since October 7, 2023 until now without it moving a finger to stop this barbaric criminal war, which several international bodies have described as a "war of genocide and ethnic cleansing."
Analysts and writers who spoke to “I” said that the war of extermination resulted in a huge number of martyrs, wounded and missing people under the rubble, including entire families, and that the effects of the war will remain for decades, and the Gaza Strip will need many years to recover from the enormous damage it left behind, stressing that the number is not just a statistic, but rather stories of lives lost, families who lost their loved ones and generations who are losing their chance to live in dignity and peace.
The number of victims of the aggression on the Gaza Strip exceeds 64 thousand
Dr. Rifat Sayed Ahmed, the Egyptian strategic expert and nationalist thinker, confirmed that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip exceeds 64 thousand, indicating that the actual number may exceed a quarter of a million people, including martyrs, displaced persons and wounded.
He explained that the final outcome of this aggression was to transform Gaza from "geography into history", as many of the vital landmarks of the Strip were erased, including people.
"What is happening in Gaza reflects genocide," Ahmed added, noting that the bombing of the city is equivalent to more than five nuclear bombs, equivalent to those used by the United States in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
He said: These bombs used by American aircraft against Gaza will affect the infrastructure of the Strip in an unprecedented way, in addition to their impact on the lives of the residents.
The Egyptian expert pointed out that the Israeli aggression reflects a great benefit from the weakness of the Arab situation on the military and political levels.
He said: Israel took advantage of the weak Arab situation and launched its military campaign in Gaza without finding any real resistance on the ground from the Arab armies.
In this context, he pointed out that the issue of Palestinian prisoners is not a priority for the Israeli occupation, but rather is used as a tactical means in their conflict with the Palestinians and Arabs in general.
An Israeli project that seeks to achieve its goals through genocide and displacement
He stressed that what happened in Lebanon and Syria is part of an Israeli project that seeks to achieve its goals by using genocide and forced displacement of the Palestinian people.
Ahmed added: Despite the genocide and great injustice that the Palestinian people are experiencing, the movements of force and pressure will not lead to permanent stability.
He continued: Despite Israel's tactical success in this war with the help of the United States, the Israeli strategy will fail in the long term, as the Arab and Palestinian resistance will continue to reject this reality based on injustice and humiliation.
At the end of his interview with Al-Quds, Sayed Ahmed stressed the need for real action by the Arab armies to open new fronts to confront the Israeli aggression.
He said: What happened during this war was an attempt to exterminate the Palestinian people and the resistance, but unfortunately the Arab armies did not move in a real way, nor did the Iranian army, and what we are witnessing is just Arab silence.
He stressed that the solution lies in a real and unified Arab move that parallels the Israeli move and defends the rights of the Palestinian people in the face of the genocide to which they are being subjected.
Gaza Strip faces genocide and unprecedented humanitarian tragedy
Jordanian writer and political analyst Dr. Munther Hawarat believes that what is happening in the Gaza Strip represents a real genocide, pointing out that the occupying state aims through its aggression to achieve unprecedented numbers of victims, including martyrs and wounded, in an attempt to weaken the Palestinian people’s ability to resist and reduce their chances of remaining on their land.
Dialogues explained that the increasing number of victims contributes to pushing Palestinians to search for a life outside the Gaza Strip, which is in line with the occupation's goals of emptying the land of its inhabitants.
He pointed out that Israel is focusing its aggression on destroying the Palestinian people's entity by targeting both people and infrastructure.
He added that the future of Gaza looks very bleak if the international community does not intervene effectively to pressure Israel and stop its aggression. He continued: "Things are going from bad to worse, and the Palestinian people's capabilities to resist this Israeli behavior have become very limited and are unable to stop the aggression."
Hawarat stressed that the only solution is to awaken the conscience of the international community to confront these crimes, rebuild the Gaza Strip, build the infrastructure, rehabilitate the injured, and compensate the families of the martyrs.
He added: "Unless this is done, Gaza will remain a piece of hell because of the Israeli insistence on continuing the aggression, and the international community's disregard for these crimes."
He also pointed out the absence of political solutions and Israel's continued use of the prisoners' issue as a pretext to launch its aggression, expressing his astonishment at the extent of the destruction that Israel insists on inflicting to achieve limited goals related to the release of a few dozen prisoners.
In Hawarat's opinion, ending the Israeli pretexts has become a must, and work must be done to resolve the issue of prisoners as soon as possible, because it is the pretext that Israel uses to continue destroying the Gaza Strip, displacing its residents, and creating an environment unfavorable to life.
At the end of his interview with Al-Quds, the Jordanian writer expressed his belief that “we have reached the point of no return in the Israeli behavior that aims to implement its plans in the Gaza Strip.”
Thousands of victims are still under the rubble and in the tunnels.
In turn, Dr. Mukhaimer Abu Saada, Professor of Political Science at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, said that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip is much higher than the official figures announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
He explained that the announced number of victims has so far reached about 46 thousand martyrs, in addition to 108 thousand injuries and wounded, but the reality indicates that the numbers are much higher than that, as there are still thousands of victims under the rubble who have not been recovered or buried.
Abu Saada pointed out that there are thousands of fighters from the Palestinian resistance factions who were martyred in the tunnels, and their fates are not yet known, noting that these numbers are not included in the current statistics.
He stressed that the Israeli occupation has questioned the statistics issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health since the beginning of the war, but evidence confirms that the number of victims is much greater than what is announced.
He added: The war that began on October 7, 2023, led to the killing of about 5% of the population of the Gaza Strip, which is a shocking percentage that indicates the extent of the disaster.
Abu Saada stressed that this massacre is considered one of the worst humanitarian disasters the world has witnessed since World War II, especially with regard to the number of child victims.
The number of child martyrs in Gaza is unprecedented in wars
Abu Saada said: “The number of children who were martyred in Gaza during the past months is unprecedented globally.
He added: According to UN reports and statements by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of children killed in Gaza may reach 17,000, a number that exceeds the total number of children killed in most global conflicts over the past decade.
The professor of political science at Al-Azhar University also pointed out the large number of civilian casualties, especially those whose limbs were amputated due to the violent Israeli bombardment.
He pointed out that these injured people will suffer from permanent disabilities, in addition to the deep psychological problems resulting from war, detention and torture.
Abu Saada stressed that "the worst is yet to come," as the humanitarian crisis will worsen after the war ends.
He explained that dealing with the effects of the war, including the large number of wounded, amputees and those suffering from psychological disorders, will require great efforts from specialists and officials.
Abu Saada concluded his speech by saying: “What is happening in Gaza is a tragedy of the twenty-first century in every sense of the word, in light of the shameful international silence and inability to stop this massacre and genocide against the Palestinians. We hope that the world will witness international interest in addressing the effects of the war once it ends.”
A full-fledged genocide and war crime
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Shadid, professor of international relations and researcher in Israeli affairs, confirmed that the statistics related to the number of victims of the aggression on the Gaza Strip have exceeded 64 thousand in nine months, not to mention the large number of wounded who face the threat of losing their lives, in addition to the patients who suffer from a lack of medical care due to the siege and the comprehensive destruction of health facilities.
Shadid referred to a study that confirmed that what the Gaza Strip was exposed to can be classified as a genocide and a full-fledged war crime, whether through random killing, a deliberate starvation policy, or preventing ambulance and rescue crews from reaching the affected areas.
He added: These crimes indicate that the Israeli army operates according to a military doctrine inspired by the approach of the Irgun, Irgun, Stern, and Haganah gangs, which is based on the principle of “a land without a people” and the denial of Palestinian existence and an attempt to erase its identity.
An army without values or military ethics
Shadid said that the crimes that are taking place demonstrate the failure of the Israeli military to refine soldiers according to humane professional standards, which has led to the emergence of soldiers who have no human feelings towards their victims, and who carry out killing operations with a coldness that does not reflect any military values or ethics. He added: "This is not just individual actions, but a true translation of the orientations of politicians in Israel and the principles of parties, especially the right-wing and religious Zionist parties."
He explained that the principles of these parties are embodied in the behavior of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, where these principles are applied on the ground without any institutional oversight or international accountability, in light of the silence of the international community and the inability to take actual steps to stop the aggression, in addition to the continued support from the United States.
Shadid pointed out that one of the main objectives of this crime was the forced displacement of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Although this objective was not fully achieved, the effects of the war will remain for decades, as the Gaza Strip will need many years to recover from the enormous damage caused by this crime.
The statistics issued do not reflect the real numbers.
Dr. Riyad Al-Aila, a professor of political science at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, believes that the war of extermination that has been ongoing for fifteen months has resulted in huge numbers of martyrs, wounded and missing people under the rubble of homes, including entire families that have been erased from the civil registry.
“In addition, community institutions, hospitals and health infrastructure were destroyed, making it impossible to accurately document the number of casualties,” he said.
Al-Aila stressed that the statistics issued so far do not reflect the real numbers of martyrs, wounded and missing persons.
He added: "Even the statistics issued by international institutions that show numbers higher than those issued by local institutions are still less than the actual number."
The professor of political science at Al-Azhar University pointed out that these statistics only show individuals who were officially reported dead or injured, and do not include victims under the rubble, nor even those who died of hunger or cold.
A quarter of a million martyrs, wounded and missing
Al-Aila explained that estimates indicate that the total number exceeds a quarter of a million individuals between martyrs, wounded and missing, which is equivalent to more than a fifth of the population of the Gaza Strip, which numbered 2.3 million people before the war of extermination.
He stressed that the vast majority of victims range in age from newborns to forty years.
Al-Aila pointed out that what was published in the international media represents only a small part of the entire tragedy left behind by the war of extermination.
He said: "This war, which has no parallel in history, has been waged against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, whose area does not exceed 650 square kilometres, making it the most densely populated area in the world.
Long-term implications for Gaza's future
For his part, journalist Abdel Nasser Abu Aoun stressed that talking about this huge number of victims in Gaza within a short period reflects the extent of the humanitarian tragedy that this small part of the world is experiencing.
He pointed out that this number is not just a statistic, but rather stories of lives lost, families who lost loved ones, and generations who are losing their chance to live in peace and dignity.
“When we add to that the reality of the wounded who face the risk of death or disability due to lack of medical care, and the patients who suffer from a lack of medicine, the picture becomes even darker,” Abu Aoun said.
He explained that these conditions are not just a matter of immediate suffering, but rather long-term repercussions that will affect the future of Gaza as a whole, whether on the health, social, or economic levels, if international organizations do not rush to help Gaza and save its health system from complete collapse.
Young generations are being drained mentally and physically.
Abu Aoun described Gaza’s future as complex and vague unless radical changes occur. “Gaza suffers from an ongoing blockade, a destroyed infrastructure, and a lack of a political horizon. The young generations, who are supposed to be the fuel of the future, are being drained morally and physically in light of this reality,” he said.
He added: "Despite the surrounding darkness, the steadfastness of the people of Gaza cannot be denied, which in itself is an indication of hope."
He stressed that this hope requires real external support, whether from the international community or the Arab world, to save Gaza from an increasingly complicated fate.
At the end of his speech, Abu Aoun stressed that the future of Gaza is linked to an international will to stop the bleeding, lift the siege, and work to build a humanitarian system that guarantees a decent life. However, he pointed out that this matter seems out of reach in light of the world’s continued silence or contentment with condemnation without tangible action.
