Trump: Israel is not good at managing its image and must end the war quickly
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, a day before his scheduled meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, called for an end to Israel's war on the Gaza Strip and the return of the captives, saying Tel Aviv must manage its "public relations" better.
Trump added in an interview with Fox News that the war must end quickly because Israel is not good at "public relations"; the propaganda resulting from this war is destroying Israel.
The former US president criticized those who protested Netanyahu's speech before a joint session of Congress on Wednesday.
He also called for a one-year prison sentence for anyone who desecrates the American flag, adding that countries such as Russia, China and North Korea are laughing at the United States because of its foreign policy, according to his expression.
Trump announced that he would meet with Netanyahu on Friday, promising to bring peace and stability to the Middle East.
Trump said on his Truth account that he will meet Netanyahu at his resort in Palm Beach, Florida, adding, "During my first term, we had peace and stability in the region, even signing the historic Abraham Accords, and we will have that again."
Netanyahu arrived earlier in the United States, and on Wednesday delivered a speech before Congress, and on Thursday he will meet with President Joe Biden at the White House.
