This evening, Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces closed the Jaba military checkpoint, which separates the towns of Al-Ram and Jaba and is considered the main entrance to the governorates of Ramallah and Al-Bireh and Jerusalem.

According to local sources, the occupation forces closed the iron gate that they had placed at the checkpoint and prevented vehicles from entering through it, which caused a severe traffic crisis in Al-Ram, Qalandia camp and Kafr Aqab, and detained hundreds of vehicles heading to the southern governorates and to the city of Jericho.

Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, the occupation forces have been deliberately closing the Jaba checkpoint in the morning, as they work to facilitate the passage of settlers via the settlement road (60) to the city of Jerusalem, while obstructing the movement of Palestinian citizens.
