A very rough diplomatic battle is taking place behind the curtains between Jordan and the Israeli right-wing government, the main headline of which is the UNRWA refugee relief agency and Tel Aviv’s efforts to undermine and destroy the agency, in contrast to distorting its image and demonizing it.

 It appears that a Jordanian diplomatic and legal team is preparing for an escalation campaign in the international community against Israel's decisions, which considered UNRWA supportive of terrorism.

 The Jordanian team collects data and documents, and follow-up circles reported video records of direct shooting operations at relief convoys flying the United Nations flag and at shelter centers bearing UNRWA addresses.

 Jordan appears to be preparing a detailed report on Israel's violations against the UNRWA exclusively and against relief programs, at a time when the Jordanian-Israeli dispute here has caused tensions, divisions, and escalating disagreements behind the curtains, reaching the point where Jordan and some European countries are hinting at accusing the American administration of covering up Israel's crimes against relief efforts. .

 It is likely, according to fresh and very specific information, that disagreements between the Jordanian Foreign Ministry and a crisis cell affiliated with the US State Department topped the discussions last week.

 Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi publicly described Israel's bombing of a convoy flying the UN flag three days ago as a documented war crime.

 The Israeli Foreign Ministry, in turn, complained about harsh comments made by the Jordanian Foreign Minister.

 But Al-Safadi reflects his country's basic position on the UNRWA file, which insists on the agency's survival and on the continuation of its relief role and work with it in the Gaza Strip specifically. He also insists on providing the necessary support for the agency's expenses.

 There is a possibility that Jordan will prepare legal memorandums and submit them to the corridors of the United Nations regarding establishing the relief agency and preventing Israel from undermining it, while the specific details of Jordan’s next step in this context are not yet known.

 A Jordanian diplomatic legal team argues that harming UNRWA in the occupied territories goes beyond the description of an international crime, towards the prior intention of the extremist Tel Aviv government to create and produce new facts in the Palestinian refugee issue itself, which Al-Safadi said publicly constitutes a great danger not only to the Palestinian people but also to the interests of the Palestinians. The Jordanian people and leads to the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.

 The confrontation between Amman and Tel Aviv regarding UNRWA and its undermining is very advanced and has a great deal of friction now, and the Jordanian side is hinting that Israel’s criminal behavior has reached the stage of harming Jordan itself and that this behavior may push Amman to take unprecedented escalatory steps, the way international envoys are being positioned now.
