Sharp criticism of Netanyahu from his opponents reveals his true intentions
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing harsh criticism from his opponents inside Israel, and is accused of lying and sacrificing Israel's fate for his political future and personal interests.
According to a report broadcast by Al-Ghad channel, Netanyahu is still biased towards the votes of the extreme right, with the aim of protecting the government coalition.
Sharp criticism of Netanyahu
The report indicated that the leader of the opposition in the Israeli Knesset, Yair Lapid, described Netanyahu in his statements last Monday as “a coward and a failure, who only cares about himself and his own affairs.”
For his part, Yisrael Beiteinu party leader Avigdor Lieberman said in press statements on the same day: “Our soldiers are suffering from nightmares, the Israeli economy is collapsing, diplomacy is eroding, the north is burning, Iran continues to arm itself, and the illegitimate government continues as if nothing had happened.”
Lieberman predicted that "if the current ruling coalition and Knesset continue in 2026, Israel will not exist."
Disagreements between Netanyahu and the leaders of the army and the Shin Bet prompted them to hint that he was lying about his position on US President Biden’s proposal to conclude a deal, while demonstrations continued to denounce Netanyahu’s government.
Al-Ghad's report confirms that the court remains his worst nightmare, before which he is scheduled to testify next December regarding his corruption, after the Public Prosecution rejected his request to postpone his interrogation until after the war.
As the trial date approaches, Netanyahu's opponents and yesterday's allies anticipate his next steps, indicating that he intends to dissolve the Knesset and go to early elections before this date, in search of a way out of this maze.
