An Israeli minister publishes an alleged map calling for the occupation of Sinai, southern Lebanon and Jordan

Israeli Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu, known for his extremist positions, continues to raise controversy with his constant statements and provocations. He previously called for dropping a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip, which reflects the occupation's mentality and aggressive approach.

In a new context of provocative statements, Eliyahu reposted a tweet promoting merchandise calling for the occupation of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

The Hebrew Times of Israel website shed light on this tweet, which calls on the Israeli public to buy a T-shirt printed with an alleged map of Israel that includes the West Bank, Gaza, and Sinai, under the slogan “Occupation Now.”

The extremist minister did not stop there, as the tweet included a link to a website that sells goods bearing the slogan “Occupation Now,” and calls for expanding the occupation process to include Sinai, southern Lebanon, and eventually Jordan.

The Times of Israel reported that the original post was titled “The people demand the occupation!” Occupation now!

It pointed out that the minister’s spokesman and the spokesman for the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, refused to comment on these statements, and the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also refused to comment on the matter.

The website touched on previous controversial statements made by Eliyahu, including describing anti-government demonstrators as “evil people.”

Last November, Eliyahu sparked international outrage when he said dropping a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip was possible, a statement Netanyahu described as “detached from reality.”

South Africa later cited this statement in a decision before the International Court of Justice accusing Israel of genocide, prompting Eliyahu to boast that his position was known even in The Hague.

In an interview with The Times of Israel in February, Eliyahu attacked the international community for objecting to Palestinian immigration from Gaza and the return of Israeli settlement in the Strip.

He claimed that “wherever there is settlement, there will be security... and it is better to return to the settlements.”

In previous statements, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed that national security and its preservation is an essential and fundamental role of the armed forces, with the aim of protecting the borders, in defense of national security and Egypt’s interests.

Al-Sisi said: “Egypt has never exceeded its borders and goals and has always preserved its land and soil untouched.”

From time to time, Egypt declares through its official platforms that its national security is a red line, which prompts it to reject any Israeli attempt to displace Palestinians from the land.

In November last year, the Egyptian President confirmed that the forced displacement of Palestinians is a red line that Egypt does not accept and will not allow.

Al-Sisi condemned the use of collective punishment and committing massacres as a means of imposing a reality on the ground that would lead to the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, the displacement of the Palestinian people, and the seizure of the land.
