The dismissed Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant , said on Thursday that there is a possibility of a flare-up in the various arenas and fronts in the region.
During his visit to the Shin Bet headquarters, in the presence of its chief, Ronen Bar , Galant indicated that there are new arenas that may emerge in the event of a confrontation on various fronts.
He added, "We are in a complex security period... Iran is waging a war of attrition against Israel and at the same time advancing its plans to obtain military nuclear weapons."
He praised the Shin Bet's efforts to thwart the attacks that preserved the security of "Israel".
He refused to comment explicitly on his dismissal decision, but called for unifying the discourse.
It is noteworthy that Gallant did not receive any official letter of his dismissal, amid mediation efforts to keep him in office and resolve the differences between him and Benjamin Netanyahu.
