A reading on the return of Hamas's relations with Damascus
Written by: Rasem Obeidat
In the meeting that brought together the delegation of the Palestinian factions on Wednesday 10/19/2022, including the delegation of the Hamas movement led by the official in charge of Arab and Islamic relations in it, Commander Khalil Al-Hayyah, and the membership of brother Osama Hamdan, the official of its arena and representative in Beirut, with the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, a new page was opened From the relations between Damascus and the Hamas movement, a page was turned of the estrangement that extended for ten years, as a result of a hasty reading by Hamas and many other Palestinian and Arab forces of what happened in and over Syria. It was known as the "Arab Spring", and let everyone discover that what happened in Syria and over Syria has nothing to do with the "revolutions" or the spring, but rather a dark autumn that led to the destruction of many Arab countries and the looting of their resources and wealth, and the dismantling of their geography and striking The central authority in it, and raising the severity of sectarian, sectarian and tribal differences in it.
It is a great war of aggression led by America and the colonial West countries, along with many countries in the region, along with more than 100 countries, and dozens of terrorist, takfiri and “ISIS” groups that were brought in, armed, funded, and provided residence and political and media custody for their leaders and members, as well as facilitating their travel and entry into Syrian territory In a clear targeting of the Syrian national state, what is required is the dismantling of Syria and changing the character of its national, pan-Arab identity, and pushing its new leadership to public normalization with the entity state, so that the flags of the entity state flutter in the heart of Damascus...
What happened in terms of international, regional, Arab and local developments and changes, and the discovery of the truth and nature of the project hostile to Syria and the Arab nation, and that what was known as the “Arab Spring” is nothing more than a political project targeting the Arab and Islamic nation, and all its parties, organizations, movements, centers and systems of resistance. Hamas is a deep review of its positions and options, as it spent years digging its choice and charting its path until it was crowned with a visit to Damascus, during which leaderships changed, conflicts took place, and locations and roles were decided.
Hamas decided its options, in the priority of its Palestinian identity and resistance, over its origins in the Muslim Brotherhood movement.
The return of Hamas to Syria came at a stage in which the axis of resistance achieves achievements with a strategic dimension. Syria is in the final stages of achieving a complete victory over terrorist and takfiri groups, and Lebanon and its resistance impose a new deterrence equation on the state of the entity through maritime demarcation and Lebanon obtaining its rights from the maritime economic wealth, and in Palestine the resistance It is intensifying and escalating in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and a great state of anxiety and fear is occurring among the leaders of the entity state, who have come to fear an existential threat to it.
Al-Haya in Meeting Al-Assad presented reading and reading about the importance of Syria's role in supporting the resistance, as well as the role of President Al-Assad in consolidating the resistance, and the resistance in Syria before the war against it and after it, is not subject to outbids or external influences, as Syria has always been the impenetrable fortress of the resistance, and formed " It has a millstone.. Despite all the difficult circumstances that Syria went through, as it fought its battles on more than one front and against more than one occupation, it remained the main supporter of all resistance movements and our Palestinian cause and resistance. Some may argue that the return of Hamas to Syria will gain great importance and significance. Meaning if it came during the difficult circumstances that Syria went through, and not after victory became close to the final achievement... This point of view should not obscure our comprehensive vision of the changes taking place and the alliances that are forming in the world and the region, where new balances of power emerge, in the context of Variables integrate to create a new regional landscape.
We are aware that Hamas's exit from Syria resulted in a great loss for Hamas, Syria, and the axis of resistance. Betting on what was known as the "revolutions" of the Arab Spring led to dropping many of the red lines of involvement in the American project by many countries of the official Arab regime, in order to The destruction of Syria and the overthrow of its national, pan-Arab identity, and this naturally brought down the position in which Palestine and the resistance are supposed to remain as a compass that draws the direction and priorities of the battles in favor of the illusion of the priority of democracy.
We realize that there are those who will put sticks in the wheels, and will launch a relentless war against Hamas, and will employ all their capabilities, financial capabilities, media "machines", and religious references, in order to discourage Hamas from this return, and will engage them in side political and media battles, but the Hamas leadership that took this The decision, she became fully convinced, after the series of official and regional Arab normalization jogging for her political and financial cradles with the entity state, that the geography is narrowing in front of her to work, and that her activities, presence and freedom of movement will be restricted, and therefore this was part of the Hamas movement's review of its positions, and the decision to return to Damascus.
I say clearly that there are those who tried to confuse the Arab mind about Syria, by making it a sign of division, and not unification of a Palestinian and Arab position on it,...but it has been proven on the ground that the Palestinian flag will not be neutral when the Arabs are divided between resistance and normalization, and it is enough for Syria to be proud to appear and legitimize Its victory is from the Palestinian gate as an incubator for the forces of resistance and its fortified fortress. Syria, as president, army and people, made great moral sacrifices to turn a page full of wounds and pains, in order to pave the way towards the return of Hamas to Syria and the integration of the resistance axis.
