The Israeli General Security Agency, the Shin Bet, decided, on Wednesday, to strengthen security protection for government ministers, for fear of exposing them to danger.
According to the Hebrew Channel 12, the decision was taken, after a series of assessments conducted by the agency, as it decided to increase security protection for ministers, especially Minister of Justice Yariv Levin.
This comes against the backdrop of passing the controversial “reasonableness” law, which is related to judicial legislation that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu has sought.
