Medical sources said that 360 healthcare workers have been arrested since the beginning of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, including doctors with critical medical expertise and specialties that have been denied to patients and the wounded.
Medical sources added in a press release on Monday that the Israeli occupation is imposing severe restrictions on prisoners in general and on medical personnel in particular, as they live in dire and tragic conditions in the occupation's detention centers.
She noted that the lawyer for prisoner Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, who has been detained since December 27, according to his last visit, described the brutality he endured during interrogation, including his exposure to constant beatings, his deteriorating health condition, and his denial of medical treatment.
