Dozens injured by occupation gunfire while waiting for aid in the Gaza Strip.

In a tragic incident, the Al-Saraya field hospital affiliated with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society received more than 40 injuries among citizens who were waiting for humanitarian aid in the northwest of the Gaza Strip. This incident comes at a time when the region is suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis due to the ongoing aggression.

A medical source reported that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on citizens, resulting in the martyrdom of two individuals and injuries to several others. These events reflect the deteriorating security situation in the area, where civilians are at risk while trying to obtain essential aid.

Another young man was martyred due to an airstrike that targeted the Zaitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, increasing the number of dead who have fallen since the onset of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023.

According to medical sources, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 61,944 dead, the majority of whom are children and women, while the number of injuries has reached 155,886. These figures reflect the scale of the humanitarian tragedy experienced by the residents of the region.

Sources confirmed that a number of victims remain under the rubble, as rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them due to the continued Israeli bombardment. This situation highlights the urgent need to provide protection for civilians and deliver humanitarian aid promptly.

Gaza as it has never been told before.. Documentaries reveal the siege, starvation, and massacres.

Many films have been made and showcased about Gaza, some telling true stories, while others address fictional events. These films depict the Israeli assaults and portray the lives of Palestinians who are trying to live and face life like any other people of different nationalities. Most of these films have been directed and produced by Arab filmmakers whose identities have been influenced by the Palestinian cause, but the general issue and Gaza in particular have also impacted foreign filmmakers.

Among these documentaries is the film "A Year of War in Gaza," which documents the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip a year after it broke out. The film is produced by a group of Palestinians who began documenting their experiences from the early days of the war, showcasing their personal stories through painful scenes of airstrikes and bombings, repeated displacements, and the loss of loved ones.

The film "Gaza," directed by Gary Keane and Andrew McConnell, offers a human perspective on the daily lives of Gaza's residents away from the noise of politics. The film highlights the multiple aspects of life inside Gaza, where Palestinians seek calm and reassurance amid the siege and restrictions that suffocate the details of their lives.

The film "The American Mind Occupation" reveals how the Israeli occupation employs its influence in American media to shape public opinion regarding its control over the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The film begins by recounting the events of the Gaza war in 2014, illustrating the devastating impact of the airstrikes on civilians.

The film "Born in Gaza" focuses on the effects of violence on the childhood of Palestinians, showcasing testimonies from ten children who lived under the weight of bombardment. The film gained wide recognition but did not change the reality, as the same tragedies against children in Gaza have been repeated.

These films show that life in Gaza is not just a struggle for survival, but a human story that transcends the siege and assaults, where Palestinians strive to maintain their humanity amid chaos. These documentaries form a true archive of what is happening in Gaza, shedding light on the suffering of the Palestinian people that continues to recur.

A Democratic representative accuses "Israel" of genocide in Gaza and calls for an end to the famine.

Democratic Representative from Massachusetts, Katherine Clark, described the actions of the Israeli occupation state in the besieged Gaza Strip as "genocide." These statements came during an event held in her district, where she emphasized the need for effective measures to address the situation in Gaza.

During her speech, Clark stressed the importance of working to stop famine, genocide, and destruction in Gaza, noting that this requires the concerted efforts of all parties. She also called for the need to confront the redistricting that negatively impacts voting rights.

Clark also spoke about receiving $371,187 from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), clarifying that receiving funds does not mean failing to do what is right. She pointed out that this may be a red line for some, but she reaffirms her steadfast position.

Clark is considered one of the prominent Democratic representatives who use the term "genocide" to describe Israeli aggression in Gaza, reflecting a firm stance on the human rights violations committed by the occupying state.

Clark's statements come at a sensitive time, as the besieged Gaza Strip has witnessed intense airstrikes by the occupying forces, resulting in the martyrdom of many Palestinians and injuries to others. The airstrikes targeted the Baptist hospital in Gaza City, exacerbating the humanitarian situation.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 70 people were martyred and 385 others were injured in just the last 24 hours. The toll of victims from starvation has risen to 251 martyrs, including 108 children, highlighting the escalating humanitarian crisis in the sector.

These statements coincide with calls from other representatives from both parties, such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib, who continue to use the same term to describe the situation in Gaza, reflecting a shift in the political discourse surrounding the Palestinian issue.

Trump speaks of "great progress" regarding Russia as European leaders participate in the Washington summit.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced "significant progress" regarding relations with Russia, as his envoy spoke of "Russian concessions" in the context of the Ukrainian conflict. This came at a time when European leaders were meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Brussels, before heading to Washington to meet with Trump.

Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social" after a summit with his Russian counterpart in Alaska, indicating "significant progress regarding Russia," without providing further details. In the same context, his envoy Steve Witkoff stated that Russia had made "some concessions" concerning five Ukrainian regions it declared annexed.

Witkoff clarified that the concessions include areas partially occupied by Russia, such as Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, in addition to the Crimean Peninsula, which Moscow annexed in 2014. He expressed hope that the upcoming meeting between Trump and Zelensky would be fruitful.

In a related context, the "Alliance of the Willing," which includes European leaders, among them French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, met via video to discuss the security guarantees that would be offered to Ukraine as part of a potential peace agreement.

During the meeting, Macron called for "continued pressure" on Russian President Vladimir Putin, while European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen welcomed Trump's proposal to provide security guarantees to Ukraine inspired by the North Atlantic Treaty.

Von der Leyen added that there should be no restrictions on the Ukrainian armed forces or foreign aid, emphasizing the need for Ukraine to become a "stronghold" against potential invaders. European leaders confirmed they would attend the meeting in Washington.

At the same time, Trump is pressuring Ukraine to reach an agreement following his meeting with Putin, as sources indicate that the Russian president offered to relinquish some Ukrainian territories in exchange for larger areas elsewhere.

Trump stated that Ukraine must reach an agreement to end the war, noting that "Russia is a very powerful force." After the Alaska summit, Trump called Zelensky and informed him of Putin's offer to freeze the front lines if Kyiv relinquished Donetsk.

Zelensky rejected this request, while Trump expressed support for the idea of reaching a peace agreement without the need for a ceasefire agreement, indicating a shift from his previous stance.

European powers are seeking to arrange a trilateral meeting between Trump, Putin, and Zelensky to ensure Ukraine's presence at the negotiating table, focusing on strong security guarantees for Ukraine with U.S. participation.

U.S. Ambassador to Tel Aviv: No evidence of Israel's claims that Hamas stole aid

Two prominent former American officials in President Donald Trump's administration revealed that the United States received no evidence from the Israeli occupation army or the United Nations that Hamas was stealing or diverting humanitarian aid funded by Washington.

In a joint article, Jack Lew, the former U.S. ambassador to Israel, and David Satterfield, the former U.S. envoy for humanitarian affairs in the Middle East, confirmed that the Israeli evidence was "fragmentary and limited," as clips were presented showing armed individuals whom Israel claimed were Hamas members controlling aid trucks.

The authors noted that an internal report from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) leaked last June reached the same conclusion, but politicians in the U.S. State Department opposed the report, relying on information sourced from the Israeli side.

Lew and Satterfield also acknowledged that Hamas received some aid, but this did not amount to a systematic theft operation, as the Ministry of Interior and National Security in the Gaza Strip confirmed that the occupying state of Israel sponsors groups of thieves and provides cover for them to loot aid trucks.

In a related context, the officials added that Israel allowed Hamas police to secure aid convoys in the first year of the war, but ended this arrangement in January 2024, leading to the emergence of criminal gangs and organized looting of humanitarian aid.

For the first time, Lew and Satterfield revealed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu requested U.S. President Joe Biden to establish a floating dock off the coast of Gaza to facilitate the entry of aid, a project considered a costly failure.

Although the dock helped feed about 450,000 Palestinians, it collapsed several times and was permanently closed within less than a month, while the port of Ashdod remained open for aid entry under an implicit understanding.

Lew and Satterfield concluded by noting that the new U.S. administration is less involved in the details of aid delivery and has begun dismantling the American humanitarian support system worldwide.

Hunger devours Gaza... and Hamas leadership calls for others to intervene.

While Israel was betting on the continuation of unconditional Western support, the results of its policies in Gaza turned catastrophic, reversing the equation. The systematic policy of starvation, which affected more than two million people, pushed the sector into one of the worst humanitarian disasters in its modern history. Images of children digging through rubble in search of food, and patients dying on beds without medicine, became shocking scenes circulated on screens around the world, resistant to justification or concealment.

Amid this widespread hunger, a paradox emerged that sparked extensive debate: the leadership of Hamas, living abroad away from the siege, demands that Jordan, Egypt, and other countries take clearer stances and greater intervention to help Gaza. For many, these calls seemed an example of how easy it is to make decisions when the cost is borne by another people living under bombardment and siege, while the decision-maker is in a safe position, not tasting the bitterness of hunger or experiencing daily fear.

Although the responses from Jordan and Egypt were measured, they carried clear messages; they emphasized their support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and warned that the continuation of the humanitarian disaster would undermine regional stability, but they avoided engaging in direct political confrontation with Tel Aviv or Hamas.

This scene coincided with notable shifts in the European stance, as countries like France, Britain, and Germany moved towards recognizing the State of Palestine, in a step that was previously unlikely. However, despite the importance of these positions, they do not change the harsh reality on the ground: the residents of Gaza are facing hunger and death, while their leaders sit in relatively safe positions, engaging in political rhetoric and blaming others.

Why have Western journalists failed to support their colleagues in Gaza?

An article in the British Guardian criticized the failure of Western media institutions and Western journalists to defend their Palestinian colleagues, amid systematic Israeli targeting over the past 22 months in the Gaza Strip. The author of the article, Mohamed Bazi, indicated that the result of what he described as the negligence of Western journalists is reflected in Israel's continued killing of Palestinian journalists with impunity.

The author pointed out that the number of journalists who have been martyred in Gaza exceeds the number in the American Civil War, the two World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the wars in Yugoslavia, and the U.S. war in Afghanistan combined, according to a study conducted by the "Costs of War" project at Brown University.

The author, who works as a journalism professor at New York University, commented that the horrific numbers might be thought to motivate media and journalists around the world to condemn Israel's targeting of their Palestinian colleagues, but he noted that American media has largely remained silent.

The author added that major news agencies focused their reports on the arrest of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich by Russia, while refusing to grant Palestinian journalists the same right to protection from Israeli threats and incitement.

The author pointed out that Western media is often willing to publicly criticize governments and campaign for journalists who are harassed by U.S. adversaries, but these institutions remain silent when it comes to Israel.

The author recalled what happened to Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh, who was martyred in 2022, noting that the Biden administration refused to hold Israel accountable for her assassination, reflecting a lack of consequences for the occupation.

The author noted that Western media has made one demand of Israel, which is to allow foreign reporters to enter Gaza, a request that the Israeli government has refused since October 2023.

The author cited what veteran British journalist John Simpson wrote, emphasizing the need for honest eyewitness reports on major issues, commenting that this is impossible in Gaza.

The author explained that the perception of Western journalists as intermediaries for unbiased coverage undermines the professionalism and courage of the hundreds of Palestinian journalists who have sacrificed their lives while covering the Israeli war.

The author concluded by stating that the ban on foreign journalists entering Gaza has allowed Palestinian journalists like Anas Al-Sharif to convey their people's story directly to the world, while many Western media institutions remain shamefully silent.

Israel and the United States are conducting quiet talks to relocate Palestinians from Gaza.

The "Wall Street Journal" revealed that the United States continues its efforts to deport hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, a step that has been framed in humanitarian terms, but governments in Europe and the Arab world have criticized it as unrealistic and a violation of international law.

This idea, which Israeli officials have publicly discussed since the beginning of the war in Gaza, gained the most traction earlier this year (February 4, 2025) when President Trump stated that the United States should take control of the territory and redevelop it as an international tourist destination while relocating many of its two million residents.

However, this interest has waned, but supporters of the idea continue their efforts. Sources familiar with the matter said that Israeli officials have sought the opinions of their counterparts in six countries and regions, including Libya, South Sudan, Somaliland, and Syria, regarding the reception of Palestinians who agree to leave Gaza, according to the newspaper.

Some individuals added that Israel and the United States are also pressuring Egypt to resettle the residents of the Gaza Strip in the Sinai Peninsula. Egypt, which previously controlled the Gaza Strip, has strongly opposed the idea. Its borders with Gaza make it logistically appealing in the eyes of the idea's supporters. This pressure has led to a number of controversial meetings, including verbal clashes between Israeli and Egyptian officials, according to some sources.

It is noted that White House deputy spokesperson Anna Kelly stated: "President Trump has always called for innovative solutions to improve the lives of Palestinians, including allowing them to settle in a new and beautiful place while Gaza is being rebuilt." She added, "However, Hamas must first agree to disarm and end this war, and we do not have any additional details to provide at this time."

Some sources confirmed the continuation of Israeli talks to resettle Gaza residents in South Sudan or Libya. One source told the newspaper that previous discussions about resettling Palestinians in Syria or Somaliland—a breakaway region from Somalia—had not made significant progress.

Most of the destinations under consideration have their own issues with civil conflicts and economic turmoil, and they are likely to face difficulties in accommodating hundreds of thousands of migrants. However, their deteriorating conditions have opened the door for deals that could provide economic support or other benefits in exchange for receiving individuals deported from Gaza or elsewhere.

The Trump administration deported a number of migrants in the United States to South Sudan last month and pressured several African countries to accept American deportees as well. Officials stated that South Sudan is eager to reset its relations with Washington, allowing it to accept more American deportees and engage in discussions with Israel about accepting Palestinians.

The issue of deportation is sensitive. Legal organizations, humanitarian groups, and some governments have questioned whether the departures would truly be voluntary. Some organizations, including Malaysia, the United Nations, and Human Rights Watch, have warned that the idea could be considered ethnic cleansing.

The South Sudanese Foreign Ministry stated that claims of such talks with Israel are unfounded. A representative from the Somaliland government said there are no ongoing discussions. Libyan and Syrian officials did not respond to requests for comment. Current and former U.S. officials stated that the United States has not participated in discussions between Israel and African countries regarding the resettlement of Palestinians.

In the White House last July, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel and the United States are trying to find homes for Palestinians who want to leave Gaza.

Netanyahu said, while Trump sat in front of him: "We are working closely with the United States to find countries that seek to achieve what they have always said - that they want to give Palestinians a better future."

Israeli officials had called for the transfer of Palestinians from Gaza long before Trump proposed his idea of a "Middle Eastern Riviera." Within a week of the attacks on October 7, 2023, then-Israeli Intelligence Minister Gila Gamli'el presented a plan to the cabinet to enhance immigration from Gaza with the aim of forcing 1.7 million to leave, as she stated in a post on X in May.

The most enthusiastic supporters were far-right officials such as Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who have advocated for this idea for years.

Ben Gvir said at a conference for Jewish settlement: "Encourage immigration! Encourage immigration! Encourage immigration!" He added, "Honestly, this is the most moral and correct solution. Not by force, but tell them: we are giving you the option to leave for different countries. The Land of Israel is ours."

When Trump announced the idea of removing Palestinians from Gaza, Netanyahu and his government quickly embraced and praised it. In February, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz established a new department in the ministry to oversee the voluntary departure of Gaza residents.

The Israeli army arrests 19 Palestinians in the West Bank, including a deputy in the "Legislative Council."

This morning, Sunday, the occupation army arrested at least 19 Palestinians, including member of the Legislative Council Anwar Zboun, during a series of raids in various areas of the occupied West Bank.

According to local sources, the occupation forces arrested 6 young men in Nablus, in addition to 4 citizens from the village of Douma and two others from the village of Burqa, after storming their homes and searching them.

The occupation forces also stormed the town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron, where they arrested 6 citizens from one family, searched several homes, and tampered with their contents, leading to the abuse of the citizens.

In the southern Hebron area, the occupation forces arrested two Palestinians, in addition to raiding several homes in the town of Sa'ir and the village of Al-Burj, reflecting an increase in arrest operations.

In Ramallah, the occupation forces arrested two brothers from the village of Umm Safa, raising the number of Palestinian prisoners in the occupation's jails to about 10,800, including 49 women and 450 children.

Data indicates that the total number of prisoners is the highest since the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000, reflecting the escalation of violations against Palestinians.

In a related context, the occupation army and settlers have killed at least 1,015 Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and about 7,000 others have been injured, highlighting the extent of the suffering.

A Palestinian youth was martyred last night by the bullets of occupation soldiers during a raid on the village of Al-Mughayer north of Ramallah, and a woman was injured and a Palestinian home was burned in separate raids.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of Hamdan Mousa Muhammad Abu Aliya (18 years old) by the bullets of the occupation in the town of Al-Mughayer, adding to the growing list of martyrs.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying state, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop the aggression.

The Israeli genocide war has resulted in 61,827 martyrs and 155,275 injured, reflecting the catastrophic impact on the Palestinian people, especially children and women.

"Greater Israel" openly expressing ambitions of control and dreams of expansion in a fragile Arab environment.

Dr. Omar Rahal: Netanyahu, supported by Trump, seeks to engineer the region and redraw the balance of power after the decline of some countries' roles.
Akram Attallah: The transformations witnessed in the region and Israel's great arrogance have pushed its leaders to publicly express goals that have long been previously reserved.
Noor Awda: What has been happening since before October 7, 2023, until today is not surprising but rather a "literal implementation" of the occupation government's program.
Dr. Aql Salah: The Arab silence may make the fate of the countries mentioned by Netanyahu similar to that of Syria, and the fate of the West Bank similar to that of the lands of 1948.
Nizar Nazzal: The most likely scenario in the next 12 months is the entrenchment of creeping annexation through accelerated settlement.
Oreib Al-Rantawi: Israel does not hide its ambitions outside Palestine and looks at maps extending to parts of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt, making gradual progress.

The recent Israeli statements from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his finance minister Bezalel Smotrich regarding the "Greater Israel" project reflect that they are no longer mere statements for internal consumption, but come at an advanced stage of starting a political program that is progressing rapidly through settlement, creeping annexation, and targeting the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza, extending even to Arab countries.
Writers, political analysts, and specialists, in separate talks with "Y," believe that Tel Aviv, with American support and Arab and international silence, seeks to redraw the balance of power and engineer the region, based on a biblical vision that considers the establishment of a state extending from the Nile to the Euphrates a "religious entitlement."
They affirm that what is happening on the ground in terms of displacement, settlement, and ethnic cleansing, in addition to the Israeli military expansion in several Arab arenas, constitutes a practical implementation of the Israeli expansion project not only in historical Palestine but also beyond it, especially in light of what Israel considers a "golden opportunity" resulting from the transformations witnessed in the region and the decline of the roles of central powers like Syria.
They warn that the continuation of regional and international silence may lead to the imposition of political and geographical realities that are difficult to reverse, which practically means the end of the two-state solution and igniting an open regional religious conflict, calling for urgent and organized political, diplomatic, and legal action to put an end to Israeli expansionist ambitions and hold the occupation accountable for its practices before the region rolls toward an explosion with dire consequences.

A Zionist Biblical Political Thought

The writer and political analyst Dr. Omar Rahal emphasizes the danger of the recent statements by the leaders of the occupation regarding the idea of "Greater Israel" and the implementation of settlement projects in the West Bank, confirming that they are not mere slogans or speeches directed at internal consumption, but reflect a Zionist biblical political thought based on what is known as the prophecy of "Israel from the Euphrates to the Nile" mentioned in the distorted Torah, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is working to implement with American support and international silence.
Rahal sees that Netanyahu, benefiting from his close alliance with U.S. President Donald Trump and his statements that considered Israel "small in size and in need of expansion," seeks to engineer the region and redraw the balance of power within it, especially after the decline of the roles of some central countries like Syria and Iraq.

Calculated Steps to Materialize "Greater Israel"

Rahal confirms that the ongoing processes of annexation and settlement in the West Bank, attempts to divide Jerusalem, and policies of displacement and cleansing in Gaza, in addition to the continuous Israeli expansion in Lebanon and Syria, are all calculated steps on the path to materializing the "Greater Israel" project on the ground.
Rahal points out that normalization with several Arab countries and the promotion of what is called the "Deal of the Century," alongside biased American positions, all contribute to supporting Israeli expansionist aspirations, making Netanyahu's and Smotrich's statements, among others, "very serious statements" that should not be taken lightly, as they are accompanied by a series of practical measures on the ground, and are not merely media positions.
Rahal asserts that these policies constitute a destruction of the two-state solution that Europe believes in and a clear violation of international law, warning that their continuation will lead to igniting a religious war in the region whose outcomes are difficult to determine.
Rahal calls on the leadership to take more political, diplomatic, and legal action at all levels, including action before international and legal organizations and mobilizing global public opinion to pressure Israel and curb its plans.
On the Arab level, Rahal calls for an emergency summit of the Arab League at the level of

"Displacement Tents".. Widespread Anger Over Israel's Plan to Forcefully Displace Gaza Residents

The announcement by the Israeli occupation army regarding the provision of shelter tents for the residents of Gaza City, starting today, Sunday, has sparked angry reactions on social media platforms. Many considered this step to be nothing more than a precursor to the forced displacement of residents from combat areas to the south of the Gaza Strip.

The spokesperson for the occupation army, Avichai Adraee, stated that this step comes based on directives from the political level, indicating that the goal is to maintain the safety of civilians. However, activists viewed this as a cover for a mass displacement plan aimed at emptying the Strip of its inhabitants.

According to Adraee, the necessary equipment will be transported through the Kerem Shalom crossing by the United Nations and international relief organizations, raising questions about the credibility of this step under the current circumstances, as Gaza is undergoing extensive military aggression.

The Israeli channel i24news also reported that the army chose the area 'south of the Morag axis' near Rafah to establish the 'shelter camp,' which increased fears that this step aims at the complete occupation of Gaza.

The announcement by the occupation army about the establishment of 'shelter camps' ignited widespread controversy, as activists considered it a precursor to a mass displacement operation. This announcement coincided with the destruction of hundreds of homes in Gaza City and the Zaitoun neighborhood, heightening fears that the tents are merely a cover for a plan of forced displacement.

Activists pointed out that the occupation has been conducting a large-scale ground operation in the Zaitoun neighborhood for days, destroying more than 400 homes in just six days. They considered the introduction of tents and shelter equipment as a direct preparation for the forced displacement operation.

Activists also confirmed that the occupation army is working to destroy the means of life in the area, making it uninhabitable. They described this method as a scorched earth policy, similar to what happened in the northern and southern regions.

Twitter users viewed these tents as merely a tool to facilitate the movement of residents southward, as efforts are underway to establish a 'tent city' in Rafah, which they likened to a mass detention center.

Many bloggers questioned the means that the occupation would resort to in order to push citizens to move to these camps, and the role that international organizations would play in this context.

In the end, several activists considered that this decision clarifies that the aid is merely another tool to impose displacement plans, and that what is happening is a precursor to a comprehensive war aimed at completely emptying the Strip of its inhabitants.

Gholan reveals Arab countries' "welcome" to a plan to "dismantle Hamas".. the UAE offered 43 billion dollars.

The head of the Democratic Party in the occupying state, Yair Golan, revealed the existence of a plan aimed at overthrowing Hamas, which has been presented to several senior officials in the Arab world. Golan confirmed that many of these officials received this plan enthusiastically, reflecting new trends in Arab policies towards the Palestinian issue.

Golan indicated that the Emirati Foreign Minister expressed readiness to invest $43 billion in a project to rebuild the Gaza Strip, in addition to assisting in the formation of a moderate Palestinian government in the sector, which reflects the UAE's desire to play a larger role in Palestinian affairs.

In the same context, the Israeli occupying army announced the introduction of tents and shelter equipment into the Gaza Strip, with the aim of relocating residents to the south. The occupation claims that this step is part of humanitarian arrangements, while many see it as a prelude to a new military operation against northern Gaza.

This announcement has raised international concerns about the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, where approximately 2.2 million people live in extremely difficult conditions. The spokesperson for the occupying army confirmed that aid will enter through the Kerem Shalom crossing in coordination with the United Nations, raising questions about the effectiveness of this aid under the current circumstances.

On August 8, the Israeli security cabinet approved a plan for the gradual reoccupation of the Gaza Strip, starting from the city of Gaza. On the 11th of the same month, the occupying army launched a wide-ranging attack on the Zeitoun neighborhood, resulting in the forced displacement of many residents.

Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has been experiencing genocide at the hands of the occupation, including killing, starvation, and destruction, with these operations resulting in more than 61,000 martyrs and 155,000 injured, highlighting the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by Palestinians in the sector.

International calls to stop the Israeli aggression continue, but the occupation continues to ignore them, raising concerns in the international community about the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

British historian: History will judge harshly the complicity of the West and America in the face of what is happening in Gaza.

The British historian, William Dalrymple, stated that what is happening in Palestine, especially in Gaza, is an unprecedented humanitarian disaster. He strongly criticized the Western stance, particularly that of Britain and the United States regarding the Israeli occupation's war on the besieged enclave.

In a press interview, Dalrymple criticized the unconditional support provided by the United States and Western countries to the Israeli occupation, pointing out that this support causes suffering for the residents of Gaza and ignores international law.

The British historian noted that history will judge this complicity harshly, considering that the continuation of occupation and displacement reminds one of the most horrific chapters of colonialism.

Dalrymple also added that British politicians bear responsibility for the destruction of Palestinian lives, as no one knows anything about Palestine in this country, and no one is told that the Balfour Declaration was the beginning of the tragedy.

In a previous interview, Dalrymple said that "the British education system deceived me about Palestine," harshly criticizing the education system in the country, as he believes it distorted the history of Palestine, portraying it as a "barren desert" before 1948.

During his talk on the program "Real Talk," Dalrymple shared his views on Britain's historical responsibility towards Palestine, and he strongly criticized the British government's ongoing cooperation with the Israeli occupation, including arms supplies.

Dalrymple provided a comprehensive view of what he witnessed in the West Bank while writing his book "From the Holy Mountain," where he spoke about settler violence and a "coordinated campaign to Judaize Jerusalem," explaining why he sees the current crisis in Gaza as "one of the most horrific human rights atrocities of our time."

At the same time, the Israeli occupation continues its brutal bombardment of the Gaza Strip throughout the night, while intending to displace the residents of Gaza towards the southern areas, in preparation for a wide ground assault that will end with the complete occupation of the city.

In recent hours, many Palestinians were martyred and injured in an Israeli raid targeting the Baptist hospital in Gaza City, while 70 people were martyred and 385 others were injured by the occupation's fire in Gaza in the last 24 hours.

11 deaths were recorded due to starvation and malnutrition, raising the toll of starvation victims to 251 martyrs, including 108 children, according to the latest toll announced by the Ministry of Health in the enclave on Saturday.

The Israeli war of extermination and starvation on the besieged Gaza Strip is approaching the end of its second year, while the occupied West Bank and the city of Jerusalem are subjected to systematic assaults aimed at imposing a new reality. In this context, the Palestinian Authority is seeking to take reformative steps, such as calling for elections for the Palestinian National Council, in an attempt to respond to Arab and international pressures.

Pressure is mounting on the Palestinian leadership, with questions arising about the feasibility of these reforms in light of the ongoing Israeli occupation. Experts agree that the Authority has several options to confront the challenges, but it prefers a policy of distancing itself, raising questions about the legitimacy of its continued existence.

Strengthening the Palestinian internal front is considered one of the key options to confront Israeli schemes, as the occupation seeks to erase the entire Palestinian cause. However, the Palestinian Authority appears stuck between a political deadlock and international pressures, rendering its options ineffective.

The call for elections to the National Council comes under difficult circumstances, with some believing that these elections are merely an attempt to appease international pressures and have no real connection to the Palestinian reality. Many wonder about the possibility of holding genuine elections under occupation.

The current phase requires a redefinition of the Palestinian national project, not just the maintenance of the administrative entity of the Authority. Attention must shift to revitalizing the tools of national action, activating popular resistance, and internationalizing Israeli crimes.

Palestinian unity remains a fundamental condition to confront the disintegration faced by the cause, and there must be genuine efforts to achieve that. The Palestinian Authority needs to change its functions and focus on service aspects, away from the political role that should be the prerogative of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Amid these challenges, the priority must be to stop the aggression on Gaza, provide relief to the Palestinian people, and work to confront settlement expansion and annexation projects. This requires activating the mass movement and organizing unified events across all governorates.

The Authority cannot be relied upon as a key actor in confronting the occupation; rather, there must be a clear vision for what comes after the Authority, with the necessity of building a comprehensive alternative that reorganizes the national ranks. Any call for reform must stem from the Palestinian national will, not as a submission to external conditions.

UNRWA calls for a return to a unified aid system led by the United Nations in Gaza.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed in its recent statements that replacing the UN aid system in the Gaza Strip with an alternative entity driven by political motives is one of the main reasons for the widespread famine in the region. This statement comes at a time when Gaza is suffering from catastrophic humanitarian conditions.

UNRWA described the current system as an occupation-American aid system that lacks humanity and leads to chaos and death. It pointed out that this system has failed to meet the enormous needs of the population, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

UNRWA emphasized the urgent need to return to a unified coordination and distribution system in Gaza, led by the United Nations. It affirmed that this system must be based on the principles of international humanitarian law to ensure that aid reaches all those in need effectively and safely.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza requires an urgent response, as the population lives under extremely difficult conditions, necessitating effective international intervention to ensure the provision of necessary aid.

UNRWA, which plays a vital role in providing assistance to Palestinian refugees, confirmed that political solutions cannot come at the expense of human rights and the basic needs of the population.

Hebrew newspaper: Egypt and Qatar may propose an agreement in light of Hamas's flexibility.

An Israeli newspaper reported on Egypt and Qatar's readiness to present a new proposal within the negotiations between Hamas and the occupying state, amid what appears to be expected flexibility from Hamas. This comes at a time when the negotiations are experiencing a stalemate following the withdrawal of the delegations from the occupation and the United States from the last round of talks in Doha.

According to Israeli sources, officials in Tel Aviv fear that Egypt and Qatar may propose a partial exchange deal, despite statements from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasizing the need to release all prisoners at once. Tel Aviv estimates the number of Israeli prisoners in Gaza to be 50, of whom 20 are alive.

At the same time, more than 10,800 Palestinian prisoners in the occupation's jails are suffering from harsh conditions, including torture, starvation, and medical neglect, which has led to the martyrdom of many of them according to human rights reports.

In his recent statements, Netanyahu stressed that he would not agree to any deal with Hamas except under Tel Aviv's conditions, which include disarming the Palestinian movement. These conditions, according to observers, are considered impossible and block the way to any potential agreement.

Reports indicate that the potential proposal from Egypt and Qatar is based on the understandings reached by the U.S. envoy to the Middle East, Steve Weitzman, which were established during the negotiations that collapsed last month.

On another note, another Hebrew newspaper reported that the United States has presented a new draft for a permanent solution in the Gaza Strip, which includes a plan that gradually leads to a permanent ceasefire and international governance of the region during the implementation of the proposal.

These developments come at a time when the Egyptian foreign minister is making significant efforts in cooperation with the Qataris and Americans, confirming that the goal is to return to the initial proposal that includes a 60-day ceasefire with the release of some hostages and Palestinian detainees.

Hamas, for its part, confirmed its readiness to release Israeli prisoners all at once, in exchange for ending the aggression and the withdrawal of the occupying army from Gaza, in addition to the release of Palestinian prisoners. However, the opposition and the families of the prisoners believe that Netanyahu is seeking partial deals that allow him to continue the war.

The occupation arrests 10 citizens from the Hebron governorate, including two workers inside the territories of 48.

On the morning of Sunday, August 17, 2025, Israeli occupation forces arrested ten citizens from the Hebron governorate, in a new move that reflects the escalation of assaults against Palestinians. These arrests took place during a raid on the town of Beit Ummar, where the Al-Alami family was specifically targeted.

Local security sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town and arrested Yasser Al-Alami, Salim Al-Alami, along with his sons Saif, Muhammad, Mohannad, and Muath Hasan Al-Alami. The forces also searched several homes, resulting in the disruption of their contents and mistreatment of the citizens.

Moreover, the occupation forces raided the southern area of the city of Hebron, where they arrested citizen Faraj Abdul Aziz Al-Jamal and Hazem Dheeb Saadi. These operations are part of the ongoing policy of the occupation to target Palestinians in various areas.

Several homes were also stormed in Wadi Sa'ir in the town of Sa'ir east of Hebron, and in the village of Al-Burj to the south, increasing the suffering of citizens in those areas. These incursions are accompanied by an atmosphere of fear and anxiety among the residents.

On another note, Israeli police arrested workers Rizq Ahmed Abu Riah and Saher Ibrahim Tannina while they were inside the territories of 1948. These arrests highlight the dangers faced by Palestinians even in their workplaces.

These violations continue amid international silence, prompting the international community to take a firm stance regarding what is happening in the Palestinian territories. The arrests reflect the occupation's policy of suppressing Palestinians and depriving them of their basic rights.

Netanyahu's False Euphoria

Hamada Faraneh

Hamada Faraneh

Opinion Writer

Netanyahu, through his evil, aggressive, racist, and expansionist tendencies, and his management of the Israeli colony, finds himself amidst a euphoria of achievements: 1- the occupation of the Gaza Strip and the destruction of its infrastructure, and the assassination of military, security, and political leaders of the resistance factions, 2- delivering a painful blow to Hezbollah by assassinating its political and military leaders, 3- the fall of the previous regime and the destruction of the Syrian army's capabilities, 4- undermining Iran's nuclear capabilities, 5- violating the airspace of three Arab countries: Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.

His evident failures before Israeli society are represented by:

1- His failure in Gaza, starting from the October 7th initiative, which was a shock and surprise to all components of the colony and Israeli society, and his failure to: a- end and eliminate the resistance, which continues to deliver him intermittent painful blows, b- his inability to locate the Israeli prisoners and to secure their release without a prisoner exchange, c- the resilience of the people of the Gaza Strip despite hunger, thirst, destruction, devastation, and the absence of normal life.

2- Hezbollah's refusal to yield, its unwillingness to disarm, and its confrontation of all local and international pressures.

3- The hesitation of the current Syrian regime regarding normalization and acceptance of the annexation of the Golan Heights.

4- His confusing internal situation, which does not align with his interest in continuing the war, where protests from the families of Israeli prisoners demand an end to the war, and military leaders announce that there is no longer a strategic goal that can be achieved in the Gaza Strip, and remaining in Gaza comes at the cost of human losses among soldiers, alongside European protests and the European retreat from continuing to support the colony and backing away from adopting its expansionist agenda.

For all these reasons, Netanyahu resorts to extreme measures to maintain the survival of his government and prevent the disintegration of the coalition he leads, and he is driven by the ambition and bravado towards the nebulous notion of "Greater Israel."

Netanyahu has failed, and continues to fail, and his entire colonial project has strategically failed in expelling and displacing the entire Palestinian people from their homeland, as more than seven million Palestinian Arabs still reside in their homeland with the choice not to leave. How will he manage to subdue the Jordanians, Lebanese, and Syrians, excluding the Egyptians, when he is unable to subdue the Palestinians alone?

These are daydreams that Netanyahu expresses in his inheritance of the "Greater Israel" program, and he does not address the Arabs, nor does he have an interest in clashing with them, but he addresses the hardline Israeli political and religious right, a coalition that will not always remain empowered and steadfast in the face of evolving events, and is unlikely to survive after the next Knesset elections.

Netanyahu's statements hold no practical or actual value, but recognizing the reality of the expansionist colonial project, and exposing its intentions and expansionist aspirations, is a necessity and importance for Palestinians, Arabs, and the international community.

What Marwan Barghouti said to Ben Gvir: "From my cell, I see you collapsing."

From my cell,

I see you, my tormentor, decaying.

You build a prison of steel,

but you imprison my body, not my soul.

You tighten the chains,

but you do not realize that faith is broader than the cell,

and that when will ignites,

it burns your walls without fire.

You think I am isolated behind time

that I am forgotten,

that you are the jailer of a defenseless people

No,

you are the jailer of an idea,

trying to suffocate it,

but you baptize it with eternity.

From here, from this darkness,

I see the end of all who thought they were gods,

who built the domes of extermination,

on the corpses of the innocent,

and took refuge inside a missile or a tank,

All the criminals of extermination

had their moment of glory...

then a pit.

They had an army,

then a court.

And they had a grip,

then they were stripped even of their names suddenly,

As for us,

we have nothing but faith,

and it is enough for us.

We have nothing but the spirit,

but it cannot be broken.

I do not see you as strong,

I see you afraid of a name,

of a dream and a smile

of a poem written by a martyr's mother,

of a stone in a child's hand,

of a hymn coming from Gaza under the rubble,

of a generation that will explode like a bomb

From my cell,

I build my state,

and you?

You condemn yourself to remain in fear,

between wall and wall,

between a checkpoint and a settlement

We will emerge,

but you will not emerge from your fear,

from the curse of history,

from blood that cannot be erased.

From the echo of death in Gaza

We are a people imprisoned to live,

and you are a force that arrests to avoid collapse,

but it drowns in darkness,

You wander in my prison as if you own

Jordan condemns Israel's freezing of the accounts of the Patriarchate of the Greek Orthodox in Jerusalem.

Jordan strongly condemned on Saturday the freezing of the accounts of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in occupied Jerusalem, considering it a blatant violation of the historical and legal status in the city. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these actions represent an assault on Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem.

In an official statement, the ministry expressed the kingdom's absolute rejection of the illegal Israeli measures, noting that these assaults come in the context of a continuous series of violations faced by Palestinian cities and their sanctities in occupied Jerusalem. It emphasized that these actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that there is no Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank and its sanctities, calling on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities regarding these violations. It also demanded the immediate obligation for Israel to cease its aggression against the Gaza Strip.

In a related context, the ministry called for an end to the illegal unilateral measures taken by Israel in the occupied West Bank, which threaten the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their national soil. These calls come at a sensitive time as Israeli violations are increasing.

On another note, the Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities have frozen the Patriarchate's accounts and imposed exorbitant taxes on its properties, threatening its ability to provide its spiritual and humanitarian services.

The committee pointed out that these steps represent a blatant violation of the existing historical status and a flagrant violation of international law and applicable agreements. The churches also confirmed that Israeli authorities facilitate the seizure of church properties by settlement groups in the city, complicating the situation further.

In recent years, Israeli authorities have intensified their measures by demanding historical churches in Jerusalem to pay taxes, raising significant concerns about the future of these institutions and their role in Palestinian society.

Arrest warrants ready for the International Criminal Court against Ben Gvir and Smotrich

The "Middle East Eye" website revealed that requests for arrest warrants against two prominent Israeli ministers on charges of apartheid are ready, with the presence of two deputy prosecutors at the International Criminal Court.

If arrest warrants are issued against National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, it will be the first time that an apartheid charge is directed to an international court.

The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, prepared cases against Ben Gvir and Smotrich before his leave in May, according to several sources within the court familiar with the matter.

A source at the International Criminal Court told the "Middle East Eye": "The requests for arrest warrants have been completed."

The source, who requested anonymity, added: "The only thing that hasn't happened is their submission to the court." The "Middle East Eye" can reveal that the deputy prosecutors have the authority to present them to pre-trial judges for consideration, but some within the International Criminal Court believe that the requests will be quietly shelved as the court faces unprecedented external pressures.

The newly elected U.S. administration led by Donald Trump imposed sanctions on Karim Khan last February, who took leave in May amid a United Nations investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against him, which he denied.

In June, the United States imposed additional sanctions on four judges of the International Criminal Court.

This included two judges who approved Khan's request to issue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and three Hamas leaders last November.

The "Middle East Eye" revealed earlier this month that Khan faced a series of threats and warnings from prominent figures, including former British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, as well as close colleagues and family friends who provided briefings against him, and concerns for the prosecutor's safety raised by a team from Mossad in The Hague. Nevertheless, Khan submitted requests on May 20, 2024, resulting in the issuance of arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant in November of that year.

The website reported that despite ongoing pressures, the prosecutor's legal team continued to investigate alleged Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied West Bank.

However, before he could submit the requests, Khan took leave after a failed attempt to suspend him from work.

A source at the International Criminal Court told the website that Karim Khan was ready. The source said: "No work is being done regarding the requests anymore. They were not in drafting. They were not under review. They were completed, and all that remains is to follow court procedures to submit the request. But Karim did not have enough time to do that because everything was happening very quickly. Then he stepped aside."

A statement from the International Criminal Court at that time indicated that Khan's deputies would continue his work on all cases, including the investigation in Palestine.

However, it was not publicly known whether the requests for arrest warrants against Ben Gvir and Smotrich had been submitted, as the court ordered in April not to publish any further requests.

Two sources at the International Criminal Court told the website that the deputy prosecutors, Nazhat Shamim Khan and Mami Mandia Nyan, did not submit the requests due to the threat of U.S. sanctions.

Israeli-British defense lawyer at the International Criminal Court, Nicholas Kaufman, stated to the Israeli public broadcasting authority "Kan" in June that the U.S. sanctions imposed on four judges at the International Criminal Court "were aimed at encouraging the dropping of arrest warrants against Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant."

Kaufman added: "Based on that, most commentators believe that [punishing the judges] serves as an additional warning, so to speak, before punishing the deputy prosecutors who succeeded Karim Khan."

When the "Middle East Eye" requested comment on the status of the requests for Ben Gvir and Smotrich, and whether the fear of sanctions had delayed their submission, the prosecutor's office stated: "The office cannot comment on matters related to ongoing investigations and any specific charges that may arise concerning the cases being handled by the office. This approach is necessary to protect the integrity of the investigations and to ensure the safety and security of the victims, witnesses, and all those who interact with the office."

The only acceptable deal is a complete deal that ends the war.

Ghershon Baskin

Ghershon Baskin

Opinion Writer

Israeli news reported last night that "Hamas" agreed to return to negotiations regarding what is called the "Witkoff deal" - the bad deal that returns half of the Israeli hostages (alive and dead) and guarantees a ceasefire for 60 days. To my knowledge, this is a lie. When negotiations took place regarding the 60-day ceasefire last month and the month before, "Hamas" did not understand why Israel insisted on demanding only half of the hostages - why not all of them? It became clear to them that the reason was that Netanyahu refused to end the war, and thus Israel would not negotiate for all the hostages. "Hamas" was genuinely puzzled because it had asserted for over a year that ending the war and a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza were the only things that would lead to the release of all hostages.

In October 2024, I was in Doha and heard from the Qatari mediation that "Hamas" was willing to release all hostages in exchange for the same demands it is making today: ending the war, no Israeli soldiers in Gaza, the release of Palestinian prisoners under an agreement, and a significant increase in humanitarian aid entering Gaza and distributed by international organizations. Even at that time, as is the case today, and as I received from "Hamas" in August 2024, a written statement in Arabic and English confirmed that "Hamas" would no longer govern Gaza, and a professional Palestinian technocrat government would be formed with full powers and would not include "Hamas."

Throughout last week, members of the "Hamas" negotiating team, including the head of the team Khalil al-Hayya, were in Cairo where they met with the Egyptian intelligence apparatus, including its head, and with the Qatari mediation that was also in Cairo. During the week, the mediation informed the "Hamas" team that Israel would only agree to a partial deal and not a "war-ending deal." They then heard Netanyahu say that Israel would only accept a complete deal that releases all hostages. They also heard that the head of the Mossad was in Qatar and told the Qataris that Israel would only agree to a comprehensive deal that releases all hostages. The "Hamas" team became more confused. The mediation was pushing them toward a partial deal, while they believed that Netanyahu was only interested in a comprehensive deal. But then Netanyahu continued to talk about fully occupying Gaza and said that Israel would exercise sovereignty over the entire West Bank and spoke of "Greater Israel."

There is no ambiguity here. Netanyahu is still trying to sell us the same old lie that Israel will force "Hamas" to kneel, and then all hostages will return. Israel told the mediation that it would only accept a partial deal, just to extend negotiations while the war continues. Netanyahu has no intention of making any agreement with "Hamas," and "Hamas" will never surrender to Israel. In the meantime, Netanyahu convinced President Trump that if Israel withdrew from Gaza, "Hamas" would be the only armed force that would continue to control Gaza, and then it would rebuild its forces and threaten Israel again. Although "Hamas" is exhausted and has no real military capacity to threaten Israel, and all its political leaders and most of its military leaders have been killed, Netanyahu continues to scare the Israeli people (and President Trump) that the events of October 7 could be repeated. This largely convinced Trump when the American president said, "Israel will do what it needs to do. It's an Israeli decision." The videos showing the two Israeli captives, Rom Braslovsky and Evyatar David, who appeared to be suffering from starvation and resembled survivors of Nazi concentration camps, prompted Trump to change his stance. Trump saw those clips and decided that Israel must continue to destroy "Hamas" to the end. Trump was emotionally affected by those clips, and if there was any chance before seeing them that he would ask Netanyahu to end the war and "finish it," after watching them he became more inclined to allow the war to continue - as long as Israel allowed more food to enter Gaza. Witkoff was sent to Israel to ensure that this happened, and he even went to one of the distribution centers of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation to see it for himself.

From what I heard from senior American officials involved in the negotiations, the United States wants to end the war. But they believe the claim made by Netanyahu in his meetings with Trump - that there is no acceptable Palestinian or Arab alternative to "Hamas" in Gaza. While Netanyahu does not want any sustainable Palestinian or Arab government to emerge in Gaza that has the support of the region, the United States, and the Palestinian people themselves, it seems that the Americans want that. But from my perspective, despite what has been published a little in the Israeli newspapers, this will not come from an American initiative. Egypt has been working on

Hebrew media reveals the location of the "shelter camp" before the Gaza occupation operation.

The Hebrew channel i24news revealed the plans of the occupying army to transfer hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to a new shelter camp before the start of the extensive military operation to control the city of Gaza. This camp will be established in the area of 'South of the Morag Axis' near Rafah, which is considered one of the largest centers in the urban sector.

According to reports, the designated area for the camp is under the control of the militia 'Yasser Abu Shabab', which is engaged in armed confrontations with elements of Hamas. This situation complicates matters further amid increasing military preparations.

The occupying army announced that it will begin supplying the residents of the sector with tents and shelter equipment starting Sunday, with the transfer of these materials through the Kerem Shalom crossing by the United Nations and international relief organizations, after subjecting them to thorough security inspections.

These developments come at a time when international concern is growing regarding the fate of 2.2 million Palestinians living in the devastated Gaza Strip, as the United Nations and Palestinian officials warned that 'there is no safe place' in Gaza, including the areas that have been requested for displacement.

Despite the warnings, talks between a Hamas delegation and mediators have not made any tangible progress, further complicating the situation. The occupation hints at the possibility of sending a negotiating delegation to Doha if Hamas shows willingness to engage in settlement negotiations.

Conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate, with reports indicating that the total number of martyrs has exceeded 61,000 since the onset of the aggression, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by Palestinians in the sector.

Leak from the former head of Israeli intelligence about the first moments of the Al-Aqsa flood.

In recently leaked recordings, Aharon Haliva, the former head of Israeli military intelligence, stated that the success of Hamas in carrying out the Al-Aqsa Flood operation is not due to intelligence failure or a weak response, but to deeper factors related to the occupation system itself. He emphasized that the situation requires a radical correction of the entire system.

During the recordings, Haliva recounted the events leading up to October 7, explaining the reasons that led him to resign from his position. He pointed to the political and military decisions that led to this operation, denying that intelligence failure or individual mistakes were the cause.

Haliva said, "This is not about a mistake that can be corrected; it requires dismantling and rebuilding the entire system." He asserted that anyone who claims otherwise is lying, stressing that the intelligence framework that has been in place for years is responsible for this failure.

In part of the recordings, Haliva discussed the details of the hours leading up to the attack, noting the activation of cell phone cards by Hamas, but he confirmed that he did not receive any warning calls afterward. He explained that the Shin Bet's assessments indicated that the situation was under control.

Haliva blamed the Shin Bet for failing to detect the attack, questioning the fate of the billions spent on this agency. He expressed concern for the future of the occupying state, indicating that things are heading toward the worse.

Regarding his resignation, Haliva stated that he decided to take responsibility, describing those who remained in their positions as fearful. He affirmed that the military and political leadership needs to provide protection for its citizens, and that failure to do so warrants returning home.

In his comments on the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, Haliva said that the large number of Palestinian martyrs is something necessary for future generations, pointing out that Palestinians need to feel the price they are paying.

Haliva also criticized the occupying government's head, Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of allowing Hamas's power to grow and not taking serious steps to confront security challenges. He considered that Netanyahu is exacerbating the divisions between the West Bank and Gaza for political reasons.

After the recordings were leaked, Haliva issued a statement taking responsibility for the events, calling for the formation of a government investigation committee to determine the causes and prevent the repetition of the disaster. He confirmed that what was leaked is only part of his remarks in a closed forum.

It is worth noting that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation carried out by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades was in response to the crimes of the occupation against Palestinians, resulting in the deaths of more than a thousand Israelis, while the Israeli government refuses to form an official investigation committee into the events.

Colonizers assault citizens' properties in the northern Jordan Valley.

In a new attack, settlers last night assaulted the properties of citizens in the Al-Farisiyah Naba' Ghazal gathering in the northern Jordan Valley. Local sources reported that the settlers stormed the area and attacked filled plastic water tanks, causing them to spill onto the ground.

The settlers also cut the pipes leading to the citizens' tents, exacerbating their suffering and reflecting the policy of displacement and oppression that the occupation follows against Palestinians in this area.

This attack comes in the context of a systematic policy by the settlers, who seek to empty the northern Jordan Valley of Palestinian residents, with the support and protection of the occupation army.

These attacks are continuously increasing, targeting Palestinian gatherings in the Jordan Valley, which threatens the citizens' existence on their lands and enhances colonial expansion in the area.

It is worth noting that the northern Jordan Valley is considered a strategic area, as the occupation seeks to fully control it, imposing significant challenges on the Palestinians living there.

France calls on Israel to abandon the colonial "E1" project in the West Bank.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the occupying state to abandon the colonial "E1" project, which aims to expand settlements in East Jerusalem. This statement comes as part of international efforts to halt colonial expansion that negatively affects the rights of Palestinians.

The French Foreign Ministry condemned in its statement the Israeli colonial plan in the "E1" area, noting that this project would separate occupied Jerusalem from the West Bank, further complicating the existing situation.

The ministry warned that the implementation of the E1 project would divide the West Bank into two parts, seriously undermining the chances of achieving a two-state solution, which is considered the only solution to ensure peace and security for both peoples.

The statement emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and the necessity of respecting the rights of Palestinians in their lands, warning that the continuation of these colonial policies would exacerbate the situation in the region.

This call comes at a sensitive time, as concerns grow over the repercussions of Israeli colonial policies on the future of Palestinians, with France stressing the need to return to the negotiating table to achieve lasting peace.

The Syrian president accuses parties of "gaining strength" from Israel and emphasizes the rejection of division.

The Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara accused some parties in his country of "leaning on Israel," emphasizing the rejection of any attempts to divide Syria. This came during a dialogue session with academics and politicians in Idlib province, where al-Shara acknowledged the existence of violations from all parties in the events of Sweida, pledging to hold those involved accountable.

The Syrian president clarified that his government's priority is the return of displaced persons and investment in the infrastructure that was destroyed by the war. He pointed out that the actions taken by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) differ from what is being negotiated, affirming that the government will not concede any part of Syrian territory.

Al-Shara stated: "We have toppled the regime in the battle to liberate Syria, and we face another battle which is the unification of the country, but it should not be through bloodshed and military force." He confirmed that Syria has the opportunity to be a leader, noting that internal unity is the true capital of the country.

Al-Shara warned that there are international parties that do not want Syria to be strong, referring to attempts to divide the country and create local cantons, but he considered this impossible under the current circumstances.

The Syrian president addressed the events in Sweida, indicating that there are violations from all parties and that the state does not have full control over the region. He confirmed that 90% of the people of Sweida have a sense of belonging to the homeland, and that the government is committed to holding those involved in the events accountable.

In another context, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani warned of "external interventions" that could lead to a civil war in the country. Al-Shara affirmed that those calling for division are "dreamers and politically ignorant," pointing out that Syrian society is not amenable to division.

Al-Shara announced the formation of a tripartite working group between Syria, Jordan, and the United States to support efforts to stabilize the ceasefire in Sweida. He explained that the mechanism for the return of state institutions in Sweida is underway, and that the events were a test for the state's situation.

Regarding investments, the Syrian president referred to strategic plans to improve international and domestic relations, in addition to addressing the issue of camps. He announced a development fund soon to collect donations from Syrian expatriates, aimed at restoring infrastructure.

Al-Shara reported that Damascus has received investments worth $28 billion since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime, expecting these investments to rise to $100 billion in the near future.
