Hamas affirms its commitment to the ceasefire agreement and handing over administration to the National Committee

The Hamas movement announced its official position regarding the field and political developments in the Gaza Strip, affirming its full commitment to all provisions contained in the ceasefire agreement. The movement clarified that this commitment comes within the framework of seeking to end the aggression and protect the Palestinian people from forced displacement schemes that target the Palestinian presence in the Strip.

Informed sources indicated that the movement intends to continue implementing the requirements of the current agreement, considering it a necessary path to reach a stable transitional phase. The movement stressed that the ultimate goal is to ensure the full transfer of administrative responsibilities for the Gaza Strip to the 'National Committee,' which is the body expected to assume administrative and service tasks in the next phase.

This statement comes at a sensitive time when the region is witnessing intensive diplomatic movements to consolidate the truce. The movement believes that handing over administration to a national committee represents a strategic response to attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause or impose a new demographic reality through displacement policies, stressing that the top priority remains to alleviate the suffering of citizens and rearrange internal affairs.

We are committed to implementing the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip with all its provisions, and continuing to work accordingly until the full transfer of the Strip's administration to the National Committee.
